Description
본 개시(disclosure)의 실시예들은 안테나를 포함하는 웨어러블 전자 장치에 관한 것이다.
전자 장치는 이동성(portability) 또는 사용자의 접근성(accessibility)을 향상시킬 수 있도록 사용자의 인체 일부에 착용할 수 있는 형태의 웨어러블 전자 장치(wearable electronic device)를 포함할 수 있다. 웨어러블 전자 장치는 사용자의 손가락에 착용됨으로써, 다양한 사용자 경험과 유익한 기능을 제공하는 링 타입(반지 타입) 웨어러블 장치를 포함할 수 있다. 웨어러블 장치는 외부 전자 기기와 통신을 할 수 있는 적어도 하나의 안테나를 포함할 수 있다. 웨어러블 전자 장치는 방사 성능 개선을 위한 안테나의 효율적인 배치 설계가 요구될 수 있다.
상술한 정보는 본 개시에 대한 이해를 돕기 위한 목적으로 하는 배경 기술(related art)로 제공될 수 있다. 상술한 내용 중 어느 것도 본 개시와 관련된 종래 기술(prior art)로서 적용될 수 있는지에 대하여 어떠한 주장이나 결정이 제기되지 않는다.
웨어러블 전자 장치, 특히 사용자의 손가락에 착용되는 링 타입 웨어러블 전자 장치는 외부 전자 장치(예: 휴대용 통신 장치)와 무선으로 연결될 수 있다. 웨어러블 전자 장치는 적어도 하나의 센서 모듈을 통해 정보(예: 사용자의 생체 정보또는 외부 환경 정보)를 획득하고, 획득된 정보를 외부 전자 장치에 제공할 수 있다. 웨어러블 전자 장치는 외부 전자 장치로부터 제공된 정보를 사용자에게 시각적, 청각적 또는 촉각적으로 제공할 수 있다. 웨어러블 전자 장치는 외부 전자 장치와 무선 신호를 송신 및/또는 수신하도록 설정된 적어도 하나의 안테나(예: 안테나 방사체)를 포함할 수 있다.
안테나는 웨어러블 전자 장치의 내부 공간에 배치될 수 있다. 안테나는 웨어러블 전자 장치의 내부 공간에 배치된 기판과 전기적으로 연결될 수 있으며, 특정 주파수 대역에서 무선 신호를 송신 및/또는 수신하도록 설정될 수 있다.
그러나 웨어러블 전자 장치는 그 크기가 비교적 작기 때문에 협소한 내부 공간에 의한 안테나의 효율적 배치가 어려울 수 있고, 이로 인해 안테나는 우수한 방사 성능이 발현되기 어려울 수 있다. 또한, 웨어러블 전자 장치의, 요구되는 다양한 디자인 사양(예: 크기 및/또는 형상)에 따라 지정된 주파수 대역에서 동작하도록 설계되기 어려울 수 있다.
본 개시의 다양한 실시예들은 효율적 배치 설계를 기반으로, 우수한 방사 성능이 발현될 수 있는 안테나를 포함하는 웨어러블 전자 장치를 제공할 수 있다.
다양한 실시예들은 디자인적 제약으로부터 비교적 자유롭게 설계 가능한 안테나를 포함하는 웨어러블 전자 장치를 제공할 수 있다.
다만, 본 개시에서 해결하고자 하는 과제는 상기 언급된 과제에 한정되는 것이 아니며, 본 개시의 사상 및 영역으로부터 벗어나지 않는 범위에서 다양하게 확장될 수 있을 것이다.
다양한 실시예에 따르면, 웨어러블 전자 장치는, 금속 소재로 형성된 제1 외부 링 하우징과, 상기 제1 외부 링 하우징과 적어도 부분적으로 이격되고, 금속 소재로 형성된 제2 외부 링 하우징과, 상기 제1, 2 외부 링 하우징들과 결합된 내부 링 하우징과, 상기 제1, 2 외부 링 하우징들과, 상기 내부 링 하우징 사이의 공간에 배치된 기판 및 상기 기판에 배치되고, 상기 제1 외부 링 하우징 및/또는 상기 제2 외부 링 하우징에 전기적으로 연결된 무선 통신 회로를 포함하고, 상기 무선 통신 회로는, 상기 제1 외부 링 하우징과 상기 제2 외부 링 하우징의 이격을 통해 제공되는 슬롯을 통해, 무선 신호를 송신 및/또는 수신하도록 설정될 수 있다.
다양한 실시예에 따르면, 웨어러블 전자 장치는, 제1 링 구조체와, 상기 제1 링 구조체와 분리 가능하게 결합되는 제2 링 구조체와, 상기 제1 링 구조체와 상기 제2 링 구조체 사이에 배치된 이격 부재와, 상기 제1 링 구조체와 상기 제2 링 구조체의 결합을 유지시키기 위한 결합 부재 및 상기 제1 링 구조체에 배치된 무선 통신 회로를 포함하고, 상기 무선 통신 회로는, 상기 제1 링 구조체와 상기 제2 링 구조체가 결합될 때, 상기 이격 부재를 통해 형성된 슬롯을 통해 무선 신호를 송신 및/또는 수신하도록 설정될 수 있다.
본 개시의 예시적인 실시예들에 따른 웨어러블 전자 장치는 두 개 또는 그 이상의 외부 링 하우징들을 포함하고, 외부 링 하우징들간의 이격을 통해 형성된 슬롯을 통해 무선 신호를 송신 및/또는 수신하도록 설정된 (슬롯) 안테나를 포함함할 수 있다. 이러한 배치 설계는 웨어러블 전자 장치의 협소한 배치 공간에도 불구하고, 안테나의 방사 성능 개선에 도움을 줄 수 있으며, 안테나의 개선된 방사 성능을 유지하면서, 웨어러블 전자 장치의 자유로운 디자인 설계에 도움을 줄 수 있다.

다양한 실시예에 따르면, 웨어러블 전자 장치는, 제1 링 구조체(예: 도 20a의 제1 링 구조체(310))과, 상기 제1 링 구조체와 분리 가능하게 결합되는 제2 링 구조체(예: 도 20a의 제2 링 구조체(320))와, 상기 제1 링 구조체와 상기 제2 링 구조체 사이에 배치된 이격 부재(예: 도 20a의 이격 부재(323))와, 상기 제1 링 구조체와 상기 제2 링 구조체의 결합을 유지시키기 위한 결합 구조 및 상기 제1 링 구조체에 배치된 무선 통신 회로(예: 도 21a의 무선 통신 회로(F))를 포함하고, 상기 무선 통신 회로는, 상기 제1 링 구조체와 상기 제2 링 구조체가 결합될 때, 상기 이격 부재를 통해 형성된 슬롯(예: 도 21a의 슬롯(3001))을 통해 무선 신호를 송신 및/또는 수신하도록 설정될 수 있다.

다양한 실시예에 따르면, 상기 전기적 연결 구조는, 상기 제1 링 구조체의 외면보다 낮게 형성된 리세스(예: 도 23a의 리세스(314))에 배치된 복수의 제1 단자들(예: 도 23a의 복수의 제1 단자들(315)) 및 상기 제2 링 구조체의 외면에서, 상기 리세스에 수용되도록 형성된 돌출부(예: 도 23b의 돌출부(324))에 배치된 복수의 제2 단자들(예: 도 23b의 복수의 제2 단자들(325))을 포함하고, 상기 제1 링 구조체와 상기 제2 링 구조체가 결합될 때, 상기 돌출부가 상기 리세스에 수용되고, 상기 제1 복수의 단자들은 상기 제2 복수의 단자들과 전기적으로 연결될 수 있다.
다양한 실시예에 따르면, 상기 적어도 하나의 전기 부품은, 상기 제2 링 구조체의 내부 공간에 배치된 기판(예: 도 22의 제2기판(350)) 및 기판과 전기적으로 연결된 적어도 하나의 배터리(예: 도 22의 제2배터리(351))를 포함할 수 있다.

Claims (15)
- 웨어러블 전자 장치에 있어서,금속 소재로 형성된 제1 외부 링 하우징(211);상기 제1 외부 링 하우징과 적어도 부분적으로 이격되고, 금속 소재로 형성된 제2 외부 링 하우징(212);상기 제1, 2 외부 링 하우징들과 결합된 내부 링 하우징(220);상기 제1, 2 외부 링 하우징들과, 상기 내부 링 하우징 사이의 공간(2002)에 배치된 기판(240); 및상기 기판에 배치되고, 상기 제1 외부 링 하우징 및/또는 상기 제2 외부 링 하우징에 전기적으로 연결된 무선 통신 회로(F)를 포함하고,상기 무선 통신 회로는, 상기 제1 외부 링 하우징과 상기 제2 외부 링 하우징의 이격을 통해 제공되는 슬롯(2003)을 통해, 무선 신호를 송신 및/또는 수신하도록 설정된 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 내부 링 하우징은 몰드 부재를 통해 형성되는 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 슬롯은 상기 내부 링 하우징의 적어도 일부로 채워지는 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 외부 링 하우징과 상기 제2 외부 링 하우징은 나란히 배치되고,상기 제1 외부 링 하우징은 상기 제2 외부 링 하우징의 적어도 일부와 접촉하도록 배치되는 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 외부 링 하우징과 상기 제2 외부 링 하우징의 적어도 일부는 전기적 연결 부재(C1)를 통해 전기적으로 연결된 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 무선 통신 회로는 상기 제1외부 링 하우징에 전기적으로 연결되는 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 제2 외부 링 하우징은 상기 기판의 그라운드(G)에 전기적으로 연결되는 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제7항에 있어서,상기 제2 외부 링 하우징과 상기 기판의 그라운드를 연결하는 전기적 경로 중에 배치된 가변 회로(T1)를 더 포함하는 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 무선 통신 회로는, 상기 기판의 비도전성 영역(2402)에 배치된 급전부(F1)를 통해, 상기 제1외부 링 하우징에 전기적으로 연결되고,상기 급전부는 상기 기판의 그라운드에 전기적으로 연결되는 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 무선 통신 회로는 상기 제2외부 링 하우징에 추가적으로 전기적으로 연결되는 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 무선 통신 회로는 상기 기판의 비도전성 영역에 배치된 급전부를 통해, 상기 제1외부 링 하우징에 전기적으로 연결되고,상기 비도전성 영역에서, 상기 급전부와 상기 무선 통신 회로를 연결하는 전기적 경로 중에 배치된 적어도 하나의 가변 회로(T1)를 더 포함하는 전자 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 슬롯의 적어도 일부에 배치된 안테나 패턴(R)을 더 포함하고,상기 무선 통신 회로는 상기 안테나 패턴을 통해, 무선 신호를 송신 및/또는 수신하도록 설정된 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 이격된 슬롯은 상기 내부 링 하우징의 적어도 일부를 통해 채워지고,상기 안테나 패턴은 상기 내부 링 하우징의 면 및/또는 내부에 배치된 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 공간에 배치되고, 상기 기판과 전기적으로 연결된 적어도 하나의 배터리(230)를 포함하는 웨어러블 전자 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 외부 링 하우징의 적어도 일부 또는 상기 제2 외부 링 하우징의 적어도 일부 중 어느 하나를 통해 상기 웨어러블 전자 장치의 외부에서 보여질 수 있도록 배치된 디스플레이(250)를 포함하는 웨어러블 전자 장치.
