Abstract

【課題】コストの高騰を抑制しながら、バッテリを適切に冷却して劣化の進行を抑制し、結露の発生も回避することができる車両用熱管理装置を提供する。 【解決手段】車両用熱管理装置1は、冷媒回路3と、冷媒回路3を流れる冷媒により冷却され、バッテリ4以外の温調対象と熱交換する熱媒体が循環される第1の熱媒体回路6と、第1の熱媒体回路6を流れる熱媒体により冷却され、バッテリ4と熱交換する熱媒体が循環される第2の熱媒体回路7を備え、バッテリ4内の温度差が所定値以上、又は、バッテリ4の温度が所定の閾値以上にならないように、第2の熱媒体回路7に熱媒体が循環される。

Description

車両用熱管理装置
 本発明は、冷媒回路と熱媒体回路を用いてバッテリの冷却等を行う車両用熱管理装置に関するものである。
 従来より、例えば電動車両(電気自動車、ハイブリッド自動車等)に搭載されるバッテリは発熱を生じる。そのため、車室内空調用の冷媒回路の冷媒により水等の熱媒体を冷却し、この熱媒体によってバッテリの冷却も行うシステムが開発されている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。ここで、バッテリは温度が低くても高くても効率的に動作させることができず、+10℃~+30℃程の温度領域が適温範囲となる。
 また、冷媒回路の冷媒により熱媒体を冷却し、この熱媒体によって車室内の空調とバッテリの冷却を行うシステムも開発されている。その場合、従来では冷媒回路の吸熱器と熱交換する冷媒-熱媒体熱交換器で冷却された熱媒体を、冷房用の室内熱交換器とバッテリに循環するものであったが、熱媒体は室内熱交換器の目標温度に応じて冷却されるため、熱媒体の温度が外気の露点温度よりも低くなる場合があり、係る熱媒体をバッテリ冷却のために当該バッテリと熱交換させると、バッテリパック内で結露が発生し、ショート等の不具合が発生する虞がある。
 そこで、車室内空調とバッテリ冷却のためにそれぞれ冷媒回路の吸熱器を設けたものや、冷媒回路と熱媒体回路を車室内空調用とバッテリ冷却用に別個に設けるものも開発されていた(例えば、特許文献2参照)。

 しかしながら、係る従来のシステムでは各熱交換器の他、膨張弁等の部品の数が増加すると共に、冷媒回路や熱媒体回路の体積も増加するため、特にバッテリの安全性を考慮して絶縁性の高い熱媒体(フッ素系不活性液体等)を使用する場合には、コストの高騰が問題となる。
 本発明は、係る従来の技術的課題を解決するためになされたものであり、コストの高騰を抑制しながら、バッテリを適切に冷却して劣化の進行を抑制し、結露の発生も回避することができる車両用熱管理装置を提供するものである。
 上記課題を解決するために、本発明の車両用熱管理装置は、冷媒回路と、この冷媒回路を流れる冷媒により冷却され、バッテリ以外の温調対象と熱交換する熱媒体が循環される第1の熱媒体回路と、この第1の熱媒体回路を流れる熱媒体により冷却され、バッテリと熱交換する熱媒体が循環される第2の熱媒体回路を備え、バッテリ内の温度差が所定値以上、又は、バッテリの温度が所定の閾値以上にならないように、第2の熱媒体回路に熱媒体が循環されることを特徴とする。
 請求項2の発明の車両用熱管理装置は、上記発明において冷媒回路は、冷媒を圧縮する圧縮機と、この圧縮機から吐出された高温の冷媒を放熱させる放熱器と、この放熱器で放熱した冷媒を減圧する減圧装置と、この減圧装置で減圧された冷媒を吸熱させる吸熱器を有すると共に、第1の熱媒体回路は、吸熱器と熱交換する冷媒-熱媒体熱交換器と、温調対象用の熱交換器と、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器を有し、第2の熱媒体回路は、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器と熱交換する放熱部を有することを特徴とする。
 請求項3の発明の車両用熱管理装置は、上記発明において第1の熱媒体回路に設けられた温調対象用の熱交換器は、車室内空調用の室内熱交換器であり、冷媒-熱媒体熱交換器にて冷媒により冷却された熱媒体を用いて、車室内を空調することを特徴とする。
 請求項4の発明の車両用熱管理装置は、請求項2又は請求項3の発明において第1の熱媒体回路は、当該第1の熱媒体回路内に熱媒体を循環させる第1のポンプと、冷媒-熱媒体熱交換器を経た熱媒体を温調対象用の熱交換器と熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器に分配する弁装置を有すると共に、第2の熱媒体回路は、当該第2の熱媒体回路内に熱媒体を循環させる第2のポンプを有し、各ポンプ及び弁装置により各熱媒体回路における熱媒体の循環をそれぞれ制御する制御装置を備えたことを特徴とする。
 請求項5の発明の車両用熱管理装置は、請求項1の発明において各熱媒体回路における熱媒体の循環をそれぞれ制御する制御装置を備え、この制御装置は、バッテリの冷却開始時における第2の熱媒体回路の熱媒体循環量を、定常時よりも増加させる立上時制御部を有することを特徴とする。
 請求項6の発明の車両用熱管理装置は、上記発明において制御装置は、所定の目標バッテリ温度に基づいて各熱媒体回路における熱媒体の循環を制御するバッテリ冷却制御部と、目標バッテリ温度が、外気の露点温度以下となる場合、当該露点温度より高くなるよう目標バッテリ温度を補正する目標バッテリ温度補正部と、を有することを特徴とする。
 本発明によれば、冷媒回路と、この冷媒回路を流れる冷媒により冷却され、バッテリ以外の温調対象と熱交換する熱媒体が循環される第1の熱媒体回路と、この第1の熱媒体回路を流れる熱媒体により冷却され、バッテリと熱交換する熱媒体が循環される第2の熱媒体回路を備えているので、請求項2の発明の如き冷媒回路の吸熱器等の熱交換器の数や回路の体積を削減し、構成の簡素化を図ることが可能となる。また、バッテリを冷却するための第2の熱媒体回路とバッテリ以外の温調対象を冷却するための第1の熱媒体回路が独立しているため、例えば、第2の熱媒体回路に絶縁性の高い熱媒体を使用する場合にも、その量を削減することができるようになるので、総じてコストの増加を抑制することができるようになる。
 また、第1の熱媒体回路と第2の熱媒体回路が独立していることから、バッテリの温度管理が容易となると共に、バッテリ以外の温調対象を冷却するために、バッテリが過度に冷却されて結露が発生する不都合も回避することが可能となる。
 特に、バッテリ内の温度差が所定値以上、又は、バッテリの温度が所定の閾値以上にならないように、第2の熱媒体回路に熱媒体が循環されるようにしたので、バッテリ内の温度差によって生じる劣化進行度の乖離や、バッテリ全体の劣化の進行を効果的に抑制することができるようになるものである。
 具体的には請求項2の発明の如く冷媒回路は、冷媒を圧縮する圧縮機と、この圧縮機から吐出された高温の冷媒を放熱させる放熱器と、この放熱器で放熱した冷媒を減圧する減圧装置と、この減圧装置で減圧された冷媒を吸熱させる吸熱器を有する構成とすると共に、第1の熱媒体回路は、吸熱器と熱交換する冷媒-熱媒体熱交換器と、温調対象用の熱交換器と、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器を有する構成とし、第2の熱媒体回路は、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器と熱交換する放熱部を有する構成とする。
 また、請求項3の発明の如く第1の熱媒体回路は、温調対象用の熱交換器として車室内空調用の室内熱交換器を有し、冷媒-熱媒体熱交換器にて冷媒により冷却された熱媒体を用いて車室内を空調するものとする。これにより、構造の簡素化とコストの抑制を図りながら、車室内空調とバッテリ冷却の双方を適切に行うことができるようになる。
 また、請求項4の発明の如く第1の熱媒体回路に、当該第1の熱媒体回路内に熱媒体を循環させる第1のポンプと、冷媒-熱媒体熱交換器を経た熱媒体を温調対象用の熱交換器と熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器に分配する弁装置を設け、第2の熱媒体回路に、当該第2の熱媒体回路内に熱媒体を循環させる第2のポンプを設けて、制御装置を用いて各ポンプ及び弁装置により各熱媒体回路における熱媒体の循環をそれぞれ制御するようにすることで、バッテリの冷却と、バッテリ以外の温調対象の冷却を、より適切に行うことが可能となる。
 但し、第2の熱媒体回路の熱媒体は、第1の熱媒体回路の熱媒体を介して、冷媒回路の吸熱器により冷却されることになるので、バッテリ冷却の応答性が悪化する懸念がある。そこで、請求項5の発明の如く各熱媒体回路における熱媒体の循環をそれぞれ制御する制御装置に、バッテリの冷却開始時における第2の熱媒体回路の熱媒体循環量を、定常時よりも増加させる立上時制御部を設けることで、バッテリ冷却の立ち上げ性能を確保することができるようになる。
 また、請求項6の発明の如く制御装置に、所定の目標バッテリ温度に基づいて各熱媒体回路における熱媒体の循環を制御するバッテリ冷却制御部と、目標バッテリ温度が、外気の露点温度以下となる場合、当該露点温度より高くなるよう目標バッテリ温度を補正する目標バッテリ温度補正部を設けることで、バッテリの結露発生を効果的に解消して、装置の安定性と安全性を向上させることができるようになる。

 以下、本発明の実施の形態について、図面に基づき詳細に説明する。
 (1)車両用熱管理装置1の構成
 図1は本発明の一実施例の車両用熱管理装置1の熱媒体回路2と冷媒回路3の構成を示し、図2及び図3は図1の車両用熱管理装置1の機能ブロックの実施例を示している。実施例の車両用熱管理装置1は、電気自動車やハイブリッド自動車等の電動車両EVの車室内を空調すると共に、電動車両EVに搭載されたバッテリ(Battery)4を温調するものであり、熱媒体回路2を構成する独立した第1の熱媒体回路6及び第2の熱媒体回路7と、冷媒回路3と、制御装置9を備えた構成とされている。
 従って、実施例ではバッテリ4と電動車両EVの車室内が温調対象となり、このうち、電動車両EVの車室内がバッテリ4以外の温調対象の実施例となる。尚、このバッテリ4以外の温調対象としては車室内の他に、電動車両EVの走行用モータ(Motor)8や、当該走行用モータを駆動する図示しないインバータ、電動車両EVのパワーコントロールユニット10(図2のPCU)等が考えられる。また、バッテリ4は複数のバッテリセルにて構成されている。更に、本願においてバッテリ4は、燃料電池も含む概念とする。
 (1-1)熱媒体回路2の構成
 先ず、図1を参照しながら、実施例の車両用熱管理装置1の熱媒体回路2について説明する。本発明の場合、熱媒体回路2は独立した第1の熱媒体回路6と第2の熱媒体回路7から構成されている。
 (1-1-1)第1の熱媒体回路6の構成
 このうち、第1の熱媒体回路6は、ポンプ11、12(何れも本発明における第1のポンプ)と、加熱部16(熱交換器)と、本発明における冷媒-熱媒体熱交換器としての冷却部17と、本発明における温調対象用の熱交換器としての室内熱交換器18と、もう一つの室内熱交換器19と、室外熱交換器(ラジエータ)22と、統合弁23と、本発明における弁装置としての三方弁24と、四方弁26と、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器27等から構成されており、これらと走行用モータ8、補助加熱装置としての電気ヒータ(ECH)33が、熱媒体配管34により図1のように接続されている。
 この場合、走行用モータ8は、その周囲にジャケット構造が構成されており、このジャケット内を熱媒体(実施例では水)が流通することで、走行用モータ8は熱媒体と熱交換する構成とされている。また、室外熱交換器22は電動車両EVの車室外に配置されており、室外送風機36により外気が通風される構成とされている。
 また、室内熱交換器18及び19は、電動車両EVの車室内に空調用の空気を供給するHVACユニット38の空気流通路39に配置されている。この空気流通路39には室内送風機41により内気や外気が通風されると共に、内気と外気は吸込切替ダンパ42により切り替えられる構成とされている。更に、43は室内熱交換器18よりも空気流通路39内の風下側に配置された室内熱交換器19への通風割合を調整するためのエアミックスダンパである。
 四方弁26は、A、B、C、Dの4つのポートを有し、モータ或いはソレノイドにより内部の弁体が駆動されて切替モード1又は切替モード2に切り替えられる。この場合、切替モード1ではポートAから流入した熱媒体をポートCに流し、ポートBから流入した熱媒体をポートDに流す。また、切替モード2ではポートAから流入した熱媒体をポートDに流し、ポートBから流入した熱媒体をポートCに流す。
 また、統合弁23はB、C、D、E、F、I、J、Lの8つのポートを有し、モータ(サーボモータ)により内部の弁体が回転駆動され、当該弁体の回転位置により、複数の切替モードに切り替えられるものであるが、実施例ではそのうちの切替モード1を使用する。この場合、切替モード1ではポートCとポートBが連通され、ポートLとポートEが連通され、ポートJとポートFが連通され、ポートDとポートIが連通される(図1)。
 更に、三方弁24は一つの入口ポートと二つの出口ポートを有しており、入口ポートから流入した熱媒体を一方の出口ポートと他方の出口ポートに分配する。また、その分配量も一方の出口ポートに0~100%、他方の出口ポートに100%~0の範囲で調整できるように構成されている。
 そして、冷却部17の出口が三方弁24の入口ポートに、三方弁24の一方の出口ポートが室内熱交換器18の入口に、室内熱交換器18の出口がポンプ11の吸込側に、ポンプ11の吐出側が冷却部17の入口に、何れも熱媒体配管34により接続されている。
 三方弁24の他方の出口ポートは統合弁23のポートFに、統合弁23のポートJは電気ヒータ33の入口に、電気ヒータ33の出口は熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器27の入口に、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器27の出口は統合弁23のポートCに、統合弁23のポートBはポンプ11の吸込側に、何れも熱媒体配管34により接続されている。
 加熱部16の出口は室内熱交換器19の入口に、室内熱交換器19の出口は四方弁26のポートAに、四方弁26のポートCは室外熱交換器22の入口に、室外熱交換器22の出口は統合弁23のポートIに、統合弁23のポートDは走行用モータ8の入口に、走行用モータ8の出口は統合弁23のポートJに、統合弁23のポートEは四方弁26のポートBに、四方弁26のポートDはポンプ12の吸込側に、何れも熱媒体配管34により接続されている。
 (1-1-2)第2の熱媒体回路7の構成
 一方、第2の熱媒体回路7は、第1の熱媒体回路6とは独立しており、ポンプ13(本発明における第2のポンプ)と、放熱部25(熱交換器)から構成されており、これらとバッテリ4が、熱媒体配管35により図1のように接続されている。
 この場合、バッテリ4も、その周囲にジャケット構造が構成されており、このジャケット内を熱媒体が流通することで、バッテリ4は熱媒体と熱交換する構成とされている。尚、この第2の熱媒体回路7内を循環する熱媒体としては、実施例では絶縁性の高い熱媒体(例えば、フッ素系不活性液体)が使用される。
 そして、ポンプ13の吐出側が放熱部25の入口、放熱部25の出口がバッテリ4の入口に、バッテリ4の出口がポンプ13の吸込側に、何れも熱媒体配管35により接続されている。また、第2の熱媒体回路7の放熱部25は、第1の熱媒体回路6の熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器27と熱交換関係に配置され、第1の熱媒体回路6を流れる熱媒体(水等の熱媒体)と、第2の熱媒体回路7を流れる熱媒体(絶縁性の高い熱媒体)が熱交換する構成とされている。
 (1-2)冷媒回路3の構成
 また、図1の冷媒回路3は、冷媒(実施例ではR290等の可燃性冷媒)を圧縮する圧縮機44と、この圧縮機44から吐出された冷媒(高温冷媒)を放熱させる放熱器46と、放熱器46で放熱した冷媒を減圧する減圧装置としての膨張弁47と、この膨張弁47で減圧された冷媒を蒸発させて吸熱させる吸熱器48と、アキュムレータ49が冷媒配管52により順次環状に接続されたヒートポンプ回路である。そして、冷媒回路3の放熱器46と第1の熱媒体回路6の加熱部16が熱交換関係に配置され、吸熱器48と冷却部17が熱交換関係に配置されている。
 (1-3)制御装置9の構成
 次に、図2及び図3において制御装置9の構成について説明する。制御装置9はプロセッサやメモリ、入出力インターフェースを備えたマイクロコンピュータにて構成されており、図2に示す如く、その機能として運転モード判定部51、制御目標値演算部52、運転モード切替制御部53、及び、制御目標値制御部54を有している。
 実施例の制御装置9には、図1に示す如く室内熱交換器18へ流入する熱媒体の温度を検出する室内熱交入口温度センサ62やバッテリ4に流入する熱媒体の温度を検出するバッテリ入口温度センサ65の他、外気温度及び外気湿度、電動車両EVの車室内の空気の温度や車室内に吹き出される空気の温度、冷媒回路3の各部の温度や圧力、車室内への日射量等をそれぞれ検出するセンサ(図2に符号56で代表して示す)の検出データが入力される。
 また、制御装置9には前述した統合弁234、三方弁24、四方弁26、ポンプ11~13(図2に符号57で代表して示す)や、前述した圧縮機44、膨張弁47、室外送風機36、室内送風機39、吸込切替ダンパ42、エアミックスダンパ43、電気ヒータ(ECH)33(図2に符号58で代表して示す)が接続され、これらは制御装置9により制御される。
 更に、制御装置9は電動車両EVのCAN59を介してバッテリ4の充放電を制御するバッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61や、前述したパワーコントロールユニット(PCU)10とデータ(温度データ等の運転情報)の送受信を行う構成とされている。バッテリ4の各バッテリセルの温度は上記バッテリマネジメントシステム61から制御装置9に送信される。尚、制御装置9はCAN59を介して電動車両EVのビークルコントロールユニット(VCU)60から必要なデータ(車速等の運転情報)を入手するものとする。
 制御装置9の運転モード判定部51は、前述したセンサ56の検出データ等に基づいて冷房や暖房等の車室内の空調と、熱媒体回路2及び冷媒回路3の後述する各運転モードを決定する。また、制御目標値演算部52は、運転モード判定部51が決定した運転モードにおける制御目標値を演算する。また、運転モード切替制御部53は、運転モード判定部51が決定した運転モードに基づいて、熱媒体回路2の統合弁23や、三方弁24、四方弁26、ポンプ11~13を制御する。また、制御目標値制御部54は、制御目標値演算部52が演算した制御目標値に基づいて、冷媒回路3の圧縮機44や膨張弁47、各送風機36、41、電気ヒータ(ECH)33、各ダンパ42、43を制御する。
 図3は実施例の制御装置9のバッテリ冷却制御に関する機能ブロックを示している。図3において63はバッテリ冷却制御部、64は立上時制御部、66は目標バッテリ温度補正部である。これら各部によるバッテリ冷却制御については後に詳述する。
 (2)制御装置9の運転モード
 次に、図4~図6を参照して実施例の制御装置9が有する運転モードについて説明する。制御装置9は冷房モード、バッテリ冷却モード、冷房+バッテリ冷却モードの他、暖房モードや除湿暖房モード、廃熱活用モード等の複数の運転モードを有しているが、ここでは本発明に関連する冷房モードと、バッテリ冷却モード、及び、冷房+バッテリ冷却モードについて説明する。
 (2-1)冷房モード
 先ず、図4は制御装置9による冷房モードを示している。この冷房モードでは、圧縮機44、室外送風機36、室内送風機41、ポンプ11~13が運転され、四方弁26は切替モード1、統合弁23も切替モード1とされる。また、三方弁24は入口ポートと一方の出口ポートのみを連通する状態とする。更に、エアミックスダンパ43は室内熱交換器19に通風されない状態とする。
 これにより、冷媒回路3の圧縮機44から吐出された高温の冷媒が放熱器46で加熱部16を流れる熱媒体に放熱し、吸熱器48では膨張弁47で減圧された冷媒が蒸発して冷却部17を流れる熱媒体から吸熱する。この吸熱器48を出た冷媒は、アキュムレータ49で気液分離された後、圧縮機44に吸い込まれる。
 第1の熱媒体回路6のポンプ12から吐出された熱媒体は加熱部16に至り、そこで、熱媒体は冷媒により加熱(冷媒は放熱)される。加熱部16で加熱された熱媒体は、室内熱交換器19に流入する。この室内熱交換器19を出た熱媒体は四方弁26のポートAに流入し、ポートCから流出して室外熱交換器22に流入する。
 この室外熱交換器22を出た熱媒体は統合弁23のポートIに流入し、ポートDから流出して走行用モータ8に流入する。走行用モータ8から出た熱媒体は統合弁23のポートLに流入し、ポートEから流出して四方弁26のポートBに流入する。四方弁26のポートBに流入した熱媒体はポートDから出てポンプ12に戻る循環を繰り返す(図4中の熱媒体配管34に併記した矢印で示す)。
 第1の熱媒体回路6のポンプ11から吐出された熱媒体は冷却部17に至り、そこで、熱媒体は冷媒により冷却(冷媒は吸熱)される。冷却部17で冷却された熱媒体は、三方弁24の入口ポートに流入し、一方の出口ポートから出て室内熱交換器18に流入する。そして、室内熱交換器18から出た熱媒体はポンプ11に戻る循環を繰り返す(図4中の熱媒体配管34に併記した矢印で示す)。
 これにより、冷房モードでは室内熱交換器18で熱媒体が吸熱する。室内熱交換器18には車室内に吹き出される空気が流通されるので、室内熱交換器18で冷却された空気は車室内に吹き出され、それにより、車室内(温調対象)は冷房されることになる。
 一方、第2の熱媒体回路7のポンプ13から吐出された熱媒体は放熱部65に流入し、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器27に熱媒体が循環されている場合には、そこで、第2の熱媒体回路7の熱媒体は第1の熱媒体回路6の熱媒体により冷却される。放熱部65から出た熱媒体はバッテリ4に至り、バッテリ4と熱交換した後、バッテリ4から出てポンプ13に戻る循環を繰り返す(図4中の熱媒体配管35に併記した矢印で示す)。
 尚、第2の熱媒体回路7のポンプ13は、実施例ではどの運転モードにおいても常時運転され、バッテリ4には常に熱媒体が循環されるものとする。
 (2-2)バッテリ冷却モード
 先ず、図5は制御装置9によるバッテリ冷却モードを示している。このバッテリ冷却モードでも、圧縮機44、室外送風機36、室内送風機41、ポンプ11~13が運転され、四方弁26は切替モード1、統合弁23も切替モード1とされる。また、三方弁24は入口ポートと他方の出口ポートのみを連通する状態とする。更に、エアミックスダンパ43は室内熱交換器19に通風されない状態とする。
 これにより、冷媒回路3の圧縮機44から吐出された高温の冷媒が放熱器46で加熱部16を流れる熱媒体に放熱し、吸熱器48では膨張弁47で減圧された冷媒が蒸発して冷却部17を流れる熱媒体から吸熱する。この吸熱器48を出た冷媒は、アキュムレータ49で気液分離された後、圧縮機44に吸い込まれる。
 第1の熱媒体回路6のポンプ12から吐出された熱媒体は加熱部16に至り、そこで、熱媒体は冷媒により加熱(冷媒は放熱)される。加熱部16で加熱された熱媒体は、室内熱交換器19に流入する。この室内熱交換器19を出た熱媒体は四方弁26のポートAに流入し、ポートCから流出して室外熱交換器22に流入する。
 この室外熱交換器22を出た熱媒体は統合弁23のポートIに流入し、ポートDから流出して走行用モータ8に流入する。走行用モータ8から出た熱媒体は統合弁23のポートLに流入し、ポートEから流出して四方弁26のポートBに流入する。四方弁26のポートBに流入した熱媒体はポートDから出てポンプ12に戻る循環を繰り返す(図5中の熱媒体配管34に併記した矢印で示す)。
 第1の熱媒体回路6のポンプ11から吐出された熱媒体は冷却部17に至り、そこで、熱媒体は冷媒により冷却(冷媒は吸熱)される。冷却部17で冷却された熱媒体は、三方弁24の入口ポートに流入し、他方の出口ポートから出て統合弁23のポートFに流入し、ポートJから出て電気ヒータ33(発熱していない)を通過し、次に、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器27に流入する。そして、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器27から出た熱媒体は統合弁23のポートCに流入し、ポートBから出てポンプ11に戻る循環を繰り返す(図5中の熱媒体配管34に併記した矢印で示す)。
 一方、第2の熱媒体回路7のポンプ13から吐出された熱媒体は放熱部65に流入し、そこで、第2の熱媒体回路7の熱媒体は、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器27を流れる第1の熱媒体回路6の熱媒体により冷却される。放熱器65から出た熱媒体はバッテリ4に至り、バッテリ4と熱交換した後、バッテリ4から出てポンプ13に戻る循環を繰り返す(図5中の熱媒体配管35に併記した矢印で示す)。
 これにより、バッテリ4は放熱部65で第1の熱媒体回路6の熱媒体により冷却された第2の熱媒体回路7の熱媒体と熱交換し、吸熱されて冷却されることになる。このバッテリ冷却モードでは、制御装置9はバッテリ入口温度センサ65が検出するバッテリ4に流入する第2の熱媒体回路7の熱媒体の温度Tbをバッテリ4の温度とし、当該温度Tbが、前述したバッテリ4の適温範囲(+10℃~+30℃)内の例えば+25℃以上にならないように圧縮機44の回転数を制御する。それにより、制御装置9はバッテリ4の温度が所定の閾値(上記目標バッテリ温度Tbset:+25℃)以上にならないようにする。本発明において、このバッテリ4の温度が所定の閾値(目標バッテリ温度Tbset:+25℃)以上にならないようにするとは、バッテリ4の温度が所定の閾値(目標バッテリ温度Tbset:+25℃)より低くなるようにすることである。但し、制御装置9は温度Tbが適温範囲の下限値(+10℃)より下がらないように圧縮機44を制御するものとする。
 その場合、制御装置9のバッテリ冷却制御部63は、バッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61から送信される目標バッテリ温度Tbset(適温範囲の+10℃~+30℃のうちの何れかの値。上述の場合+25℃)を上記閾値とし、バッテリ4に流入する熱媒体の温度Tbが、当該閾値以上とならないように圧縮機44を制御するものであるが、これについては後に詳述する。
 (2-3)冷房+バッテリ冷却モード
 先ず、図6は制御装置9による冷房+バッテリ冷却モードを示している。この冷房+バッテリ冷却モードでも、圧縮機44、室外送風機36、室内送風機41、ポンプ11~13が運転され、四方弁26は切替モード1、統合弁23も切替モード1とされる。また、三方弁24は入口ポートと両方の出口ポートを連通し、一方の出口ポートと他方の出口ポートに熱媒体を分配し、各出口ポートへの分配量を調整する状態とする。更に、エアミックスダンパ43は室内熱交換器19に通風されない状態とする。
 これにより、冷媒回路3の圧縮機44から吐出された高温の冷媒が放熱器46で加熱部16を流れる熱媒体に放熱し、吸熱器48では膨張弁47で減圧された冷媒が蒸発して冷却部17を流れる熱媒体から吸熱する。この吸熱器48を出た冷媒は、アキュムレータ49で気液分離された後、圧縮機44に吸い込まれる。
 第1の熱媒体回路6のポンプ12から吐出された熱媒体は加熱部16に至り、そこで、熱媒体は冷媒により加熱(冷媒は放熱)される。加熱部16で加熱された熱媒体は、室内熱交換器19に流入する。この室内熱交換器19を出た熱媒体は四方弁26のポートAに流入し、ポートCから流出して室外熱交換器22に流入する。
 この室外熱交換器22を出た熱媒体は統合弁23のポートIに流入し、ポートDから流出して走行用モータ8に流入する。走行用モータ8から出た熱媒体は統合弁23のポートLに流入し、ポートEから流出して四方弁26のポートBに流入する。四方弁26のポートBに流入した熱媒体はポートDから出てポンプ12に戻る循環を繰り返す(図6中の熱媒体配管34に併記した実線矢印で示す)。
 第1の熱媒体回路6のポンプ11から吐出された熱媒体は冷却部17に至り、そこで、熱媒体は冷媒により冷却(冷媒は吸熱)される。冷却部17で冷却された熱媒体は、三方弁24の入口ポートに流入し、両方の出口ポートから流出する。このうち、一方の出口ポートから出た熱媒体は、室内熱交換器18に流入する。そして、室内熱交換器18から出た熱媒体はポンプ11に戻る循環を繰り返す(図6中の熱媒体配管34に併記した実線矢印で示す)。
 三方弁24の他方の出口ポートから出た熱媒体は、統合弁23のポートFに流入し、ポートJから出て電気ヒータ33(発熱していない)を通過し、次に、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器27に流入する。そして、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器27から出た熱媒体は統合弁23のポートCに流入し、ポートBから出てポンプ11に戻る循環を繰り返す(図6中の熱媒体配管34に併記した破線矢印で示す)。
 一方、第2の熱媒体回路7のポンプ13から吐出された熱媒体は放熱部65に流入し、そこで、第2の熱媒体回路7の熱媒体は、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器27を流れる第1の熱媒体回路6の熱媒体により冷却される。放熱器65から出た熱媒体はバッテリ4に至り、バッテリ4と熱交換した後、バッテリ4から出てポンプ13に戻る循環を繰り返す(図6中の熱媒体配管35に併記した実線矢印で示す)。
 これにより、冷房+バッテリ冷却モードでは室内熱交換器18で熱媒体が吸熱する。室内熱交換器18には車室内に吹き出される空気が流通されるので、室内熱交換器18で冷却された空気は車室内に吹き出され、それにより、車室内(温調対象)は冷房されることになる。また、バッテリ4は放熱部65で第1の熱媒体回路6の熱媒体により冷却された第2の熱媒体回路7の熱媒体と熱交換し、吸熱されて冷却されることになる。
 この冷房+バッテリ冷却モードでは、制御装置9は室内熱交入口温度センサ62が検出する室内熱交換器18へ流入する第1の熱媒体回路6の熱媒体の温度Tcが、室内熱交換器18の目標温度である例えば+5℃となるように圧縮機44の回転数を制御する。また、バッテリ入口温度センサ65が検出するバッテリ4に流入する第2の熱媒体回路7の熱媒体の温度Tbをバッテリ4の温度とし、当該温度Tbが前述した適温範囲(+10℃~+30℃)内の例えば+25℃以上にならないように三方弁24を制御する。即ち、制御装置9はバッテリ4の温度が所定の閾値(上記+25℃)以上にならないようにする。但し、制御装置9は温度Tbが適温範囲の下限値(+10℃)より下がらないように三方弁24を制御するものとする。
 その場合も、制御装置9のバッテリ冷却制御部63は、バッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61から送信される目標バッテリ温度Tbsetを上記閾値として、バッテリ4に流入する熱媒体の温度Tbが、当該閾値以上にならないように三方弁24を制御するものであるが、これについても後に詳述する。
 (2-4)運転モードの切替
 制御装置9の運転モード判定部51は、センサ56が検出する外気温度、室内熱交換器19の風下側の空気温度の目標値(目標ヒータ温度)TCO、バッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61から送信されるバッテリ冷却要求等に基づいて上述した各運転モードを切り替えるものである。
 以上のように本発明の車両用熱管理装置1は、冷媒回路3と、この冷媒回路3を流れる冷媒により冷却され、室内熱交換器18と熱交換する熱媒体が循環される第1の熱媒体回路6と、この第1の熱媒体回路6を流れる熱媒体により冷却され、バッテリ4と熱交換する熱媒体が循環される第2の熱媒体回路7を備えているので、冷媒回路3の吸熱器48等の熱交換器の数や回路の体積を削減し、構成の簡素化を図ることが可能となる。
 また、バッテリ4を冷却するための第2の熱媒体回路7と車室内空調用の第1の熱媒体回路6が独立しているため、実施例の如く第2の熱媒体回路7に高価な絶縁性の高い熱媒体を使用する場合にも、その量を削減することができるようになる。それにより、コストの増加を抑制することができるようになる。
 また、第1の熱媒体回路6と第2の熱媒体回路7が独立していることから、バッテリ4の温度管理が容易となると共に、後述する如く車室内空調のためにバッテリ4が過度に冷却されて結露が発生する不都合も回避することが可能となる。特に、バッテリ4の温度が所定の閾値以上にならないように、第2の熱媒体回路7に熱媒体が循環されるようにするので、バッテリ4全体の劣化の進行を効果的に抑制することができるようになる
 図7は冷房+バッテリ冷却モードでの各部の温度推移を示している。図7においてL1は車室内温度、L2はHVACユニット38から車室内に吹き出される空気の温度、L3は室内熱交換器18へ流入する第1の熱媒体回路6の熱媒体の温度、L4はバッテリ4に流入する第1の熱媒体回路7の熱媒体の温度である。この図からも明らかな如く、バッテリ4に流入する熱媒体の温度(Tb)L4は+25℃付近に良好に制御されており、車室内の温度L1も良好に調整されている。
 また、実施例では第1の熱媒体回路6は、車室内空調用の室内熱交換器18を有し、冷却部17(冷媒-熱媒体熱交換器)にて冷媒により冷却された熱媒体を用いて車室内を空調するので、構造の簡素化とコストの抑制を図りながら、車室内空調とバッテリ4の冷却の双方を適切に行うことができるようになる。
 また、実施例では第1の熱媒体回路6に、当該第1の熱媒体回路6内に熱媒体を循環させるポンプ11、12と、冷却部17を経た熱媒体を室内熱交換器18と熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器27に分配する三方弁24を設け、第2の熱媒体回路7に、当該第2の熱媒体回路7内に熱媒体を循環させるポンプ13を設けて、制御装置9を用いて各ポンプ11~13及び三方弁24により各熱媒体回路6、7における熱媒体の循環をそれぞれ制御するようにしたので、バッテリ4の冷却と車室内空調を、より適切に行うことが可能となる。
 (3)制御装置9によるバッテリ冷却の立上時制御と目標バッテリ温度補正制御
 ここで、前述した如くバッテリ冷却モードと冷房+バッテリ冷却モードでは、制御装置9はバッテリ4の温度が閾値以上にならないように制御するものであるが、次に制御装置9によるバッテリ冷却の立上時制御と目標バッテリ温度Tbsetの補正制御について説明する。
 (3-1)バッテリ冷却の立上時制御
 前述した如く、バッテリ4を冷却するための第2の熱媒体回路7の熱媒体は、第1の熱媒体回路6の熱媒体を介して、冷媒回路3の吸熱器48により冷却されることになる。そのため、例えば、前述した冷房モードから冷房+バッテリ冷却モード、或いは、バッテリ冷却モードに切り替わる際、どうしてもバッテリ4の冷却応答性が悪化する懸念がある。
 そこで、制御装置9の立上時制御部64は、バッテリ冷却モードや冷房+バッテリ冷却モードでバッテリ4の冷却を開始する際、ポンプ13の回転数を定常時よりも上昇させ、第2の熱媒体回路7内の熱媒体循環量を、定常時よりも増加させる。これにより、バッテリ4の冷却の立ち上げ性能を確保することができるようになる。
 (3-2)目標バッテリ温度Tbsetの補正制御
 次に、制御装置9による目標バッテリ温度Tbsetの補正制御について説明する。前述した冷房+バッテリ冷却モードでは、制御装置9のバッテリ冷却制御部63は、バッテリ4に流入する熱媒体の温度Tbが、バッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61から送信される目標バッテリ温度Tbset(閾値)以上にならないように三方弁24を制御するものであるが、第1の熱媒体回路6の熱媒体は室内熱交換器18の目標温度(例えば+5℃)に応じて冷却されるため、第1の熱媒体回路6の熱媒体の温度が、外気の露点温度Tdよりも低くなった場合、当該第1の熱媒体回路6の熱媒体により冷却される第2の熱媒体回路7の熱媒体の温度も、外気の露点温度Td以下となる場合がある。
 そのような熱媒体をバッテリ4と熱交換させると、バッテリパック内で結露が発生し、ショート等の不具合が発生する危険性がある。そこで、制御装置9の目標バッテリ温度補正部66は、バッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61から送信される目標バッテリ温度Tbsetが、外気の露点温度Tb以下となる場合、当該露点温度Tbより高くなるよう目標バッテリ温度Tbsetを補正する。
 次に、図8を参照しながら、制御装置9による目標バッテリ温度Tbsetの補正制御の一例について説明する。図8は冷房+バッテリ冷却モードにおける制御装置9による目標バッテリ温度Tbsetの補正制御の一例を説明するフローチャートである。制御装置9は図8のステップS1で運転を開始すると、制御装置9はステップS2で運転情報を取得する。
 次に、ステップS3でバッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61からバッテリ(BATT)冷却要求があるか否か判断し、無い場合にはステップS4で現在の運転モード、例えば冷房モードを継続する。冷房モードにおいてバッテリ4の温度が上昇する等して、バッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61からバッテリ冷却要求が送信されると、制御装置9はステップS3からステップS5に進み、目標バッテリ温度補正部66が、センサ56が検出する外気温度と外気湿度から外気の露点温度Tdを算出する。
 次に、ステップS6に進み、バッテリ冷却要求と共にバッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61から送信された目標バッテリ(BATT)温度Tbsetと算出した露点温度Tdを比較し、目標バッテリ温度Tbsetが外気の露点温度Td以下であるか否か判定する。
 そして、目標バッテリ温度Tbsetが露点温度Tdより高い場合、目標バッテリ温度補正部66はバッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61から送信された目標バッテリ温度Tbsetを補正すること無く、制御装置9はそのまま採用する。そして、ステップS7に進んで運転モード切替制御部53が運転モードを冷房+バッテリ冷却モードに切り換え、バッテリ冷却制御部63がバッテリ4の冷却制御を開始する。
 一方、バッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61から送信された目標バッテリ温度Tbsetが露点温度Td以下となっている場合、目標バッテリ温度補正部66はステップS8に進んで露点温度Tdより高くなるように目標バッテリ温度Tbsetを補正する。この場合、補正値は少なくとも前述した適温範囲の上限値(+30℃)以下であって、下限値(+10℃)以上の範囲で設定するものとする。そして、ステップS7に進んで運転モード切替制御部53が運転モードを冷房+バッテリ冷却モードに切り換え、バッテリ冷却制御部63がバッテリ4の冷却制御を開始する。これにより、バッテリ4に流入する第2の熱交換器回路7の熱媒体の温度は露点温度Tdよりも高くなるように制御され、バッテリ4への結露が防止されることになる。
 このように、実施例では制御装置9に、目標バッテリ温度Tbsetに基づいて各熱媒体回路6、7における熱媒体の循環を制御するバッテリ冷却制御部63と、目標バッテリ温度Tbsetが、外気の露点温度Td以下となる場合、当該露点温度Tdより高くなるよう目標バッテリ温度Tbsetを補正する目標バッテリ温度補正部66を設けたので、バッテリ4の結露発生を効果的に解消して、装置の安定性と安全性を向上させることができるようになる。
 尚、実施例では制御装置9により、バッテリ4の温度が所定の閾値以上にならないようにしたが、それに限らず、第1の熱媒体回路6と第2の熱媒体回路7の熱媒体の循環量や各熱交換器の容量、熱交換能力等を予め設定することにより、構造的に常にバッテリ4が閾値以上にならないようにしてもよい。その場合も閾値は前述した適温範囲の+10℃~+30℃に設定するものとする。
 また、実施例ではバッテリ4の温度が閾値以上にならないように制御したが、それに加えて、或いは、それに代えて、バッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61から送信される各バッテリセルの温度の差違に基づいて制御するようにしてもよい。その場合は、各バッテリセルの温度差が所定値以上にならないようにする。それにより、バッテリ4内の温度差によって生じる劣化進行度の乖離を効果的に抑制することができるようになる。
 また、実施例ではバッテリ4に流入する熱媒体の温度Tbをバッテリ4の温度とし、当該温度Tbと目標バッテリ温度Tbsetでバッテリ4の冷却制御を行うようにしたが、温度Tbに限らず、バッテリマネジメントシステム(BMS)61から送信されるバッテリ4自体の温度や、バッテリ4に流入する熱媒体と流出する熱媒体の温度の双方を検出し、それらをバッテリ4の温度として制御するようにしてもよい。

Claims (6)

  1.  冷媒回路と、該冷媒回路を流れる冷媒により冷却され、バッテリ以外の温調対象と熱交換する熱媒体が循環される第1の熱媒体回路と、該第1の熱媒体回路を流れる熱媒体により冷却され、前記バッテリと熱交換する熱媒体が循環される第2の熱媒体回路を備え、
     前記バッテリ内の温度差が所定値以上、又は、前記バッテリの温度が所定の閾値以上にならないように、前記第2の熱媒体回路に熱媒体が循環されることを特徴とする車両用熱管理装置。
  2.  前記冷媒回路は、冷媒を圧縮する圧縮機と、該圧縮機から吐出された高温の冷媒を放熱させる放熱器と、該放熱器で放熱した冷媒を減圧する減圧装置と、該減圧装置で減圧された冷媒を吸熱させる吸熱器を有すると共に、
     前記第1の熱媒体回路は、前記吸熱器と熱交換する冷媒-熱媒体熱交換器と、前記温調対象用の熱交換器と、熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器を有し、
     前記第2の熱媒体回路は、前記熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器と熱交換する放熱部を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用熱管理装置。
  3.  前記第1の熱媒体回路に設けられた前記温調対象用の熱交換器は、車室内空調用の室内熱交換器であり、前記冷媒-熱媒体熱交換器にて冷媒により冷却された熱媒体を用いて、車室内を空調することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の車両用熱管理装置。
  4.  前記第1の熱媒体回路は、当該第1の熱媒体回路内に熱媒体を循環させる第1のポンプと、前記冷媒-熱媒体熱交換器を経た熱媒体を前記温調対象用の熱交換器と前記熱媒体-熱媒体熱交換器に分配する弁装置を有すると共に、
     前記第2の熱媒体回路は、当該第2の熱媒体回路内に熱媒体を循環させる第2のポンプを有し、
     前記各ポンプ及び前記弁装置により前記各熱媒体回路における熱媒体の循環をそれぞれ制御する制御装置を備えたことを特徴とする請求項2又は請求項3に記載の車両用熱管理装置。
  5.  前記各熱媒体回路における熱媒体の循環をそれぞれ制御する制御装置を備え、
     該制御装置は、
     前記バッテリの冷却開始時における前記第2の熱媒体回路の熱媒体循環量を、定常時よりも増加させる立上時制御部を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用熱管理装置。
  6.  前記制御装置は、
     所定の目標バッテリ温度に基づいて前記各熱媒体回路における熱媒体の循環を制御するバッテリ冷却制御部と、
     前記目標バッテリ温度が、外気の露点温度以下となる場合、当該露点温度より高くなるよう前記目標バッテリ温度を補正する目標バッテリ温度補正部と、
     を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の車両用熱管理装置。
