Abstract

制御システムは、所定のタイミング毎に、一つ以上の搬送装置をいずれかの待機位置で待機させる場合、当該一つ以上の搬送装置の各々について、待機位置毎に、当該待機位置から当該搬送装置の目的位置までの移動コストと、当該所定のタイミングから当該目的位置への到着の期限までの残り時間とに基づいて、当該待機位置の適正度を決定する。制御システムは、当該一つ以上の搬送装置の各々について、複数の待機位置の適正度に基づいて当該搬送装置の待機位置を決定して、当該決定した待機位置に当該搬送装置を移動させる。

Description

搬送装置を制御する制御システム及び制御方法
 本発明は、概して、搬送装置の走行により搬送物を搬送する技術に関する。
 物流センタにおいて、各保管エリアからオーダに対応する物品(例えば商品)をピッキングして、梱包単位に仕分けをする作業は負荷が高い作業である。特に、Eコマース市場が拡大する一方で、物流センタにおける作業員の不足等も生じており、作業負荷を減らすニーズは高い。
 そこで、オーダに対応する複数の物品の保管位置が複数の保管設備に跨る場合でも、無人搬送車(Automatic Guided Vehicle)等の搬送装置を用いて仕分け作業を自動化する搬送システムにより、仕分け作業の作業負荷の低減が図られている。即ち、搬送装置はオーダに対応した出荷箱(例えば段ボール箱)を積載し、各保管設備における作業ステーション(作業者が配置された作業スペース)を巡回し、オーダに対応した物品を出荷箱に集める。これにより、オーダに対応する複数の物品の保管位置が複数の保管設備に跨る場合でも、作業者が移動することなく仕分け作業が可能である。
 このような搬送装置を用いた搬送システムでは、物流センタ内で多数の搬送装置が運行することになるため、効率的な運行制御が必要である。こうした運行制御のための技術として、例えば、特許文献1に記載の技術がある。

 搬送装置を用いて仕分け作業を自動化する搬送システムでは、搬送装置は作業ステーションを巡回し、搬送装置が作業ステーションに到着すると、作業者が搬送装置に積載された出荷箱に必要な物品をピッキングする。搬送装置は複数の物品を出荷箱に集めるため複数の作業ステーションを次々に巡回し、作業者は次々に作業ステーションに到着する搬送装置に対してピッキング作業を繰り返す。
 この搬送システムにおいて、第一の搬送装置が目的位置としている作業ステーションで第二の搬送装置が作業をしている場合、第一の搬送装置は待機する必要がある。このとき、第一の搬送装置は、目的位置としている作業ステーションから過度に離れた位置で待機してしまうと、第一の搬送装置の作業ステーションへの到着が到着期限(例えば、作業ステーションへの到着予定日時又は作業ステーションでの作業の開始予定日時)に間に合わなくなってしまう。
 また、第一の搬送装置が第三の搬送装置と干渉する位置で待機すると、作業ステーションへの移動時に衝突回避動作が発生し、第一の搬送装置の作業ステーションへの到着が遅れる。第一の搬送装置の作業ステーションへの到着が遅れると、当該作業ステーションにおけるピッキング作業が遅延する。
 このような理由から、搬送装置が適切な位置で待機することが望ましい。この種の課題は、作業ステーションの巡回が必要とされない搬送システム、例えば、作業ステーションが一つである搬送システムについてもあり得る。特許文献1には、待機位置の選択に関する開示も示唆もない。
 本発明の目的は、搬送装置の適切な位置での待機を可能にすることである。
 制御システムは、所定のタイミング毎に、一つ以上の搬送装置をいずれかの待機位置で待機させる場合、当該一つ以上の搬送装置の各々について、待機位置毎に、当該待機位置から当該搬送装置の目的位置までの移動コストと、当該所定のタイミングから当該目的位置への到着の期限までの残り時間とに基づいて、当該待機位置の適正度を決定する。制御システムは、当該一つ以上の搬送装置の各々について、複数の待機位置の適正度に基づいて当該搬送装置の待機位置を決定して、当該決定した待機位置に当該搬送装置を移動させる。
 本発明によれば、搬送装置が適切な位置で待機することができる。上記した以外の課題、構成及び効果は、以下の発明を実施するための形態の説明により明らかにされる。

 以下の説明では、「インターフェース装置」は、一つ以上のインターフェースデバイスでよい。当該一つ以上のインターフェースデバイスは、下記のうちの少なくとも一つでよい。
・一つ以上のI/O(Input/Output)インターフェースデバイス。I/O(Input/Output)インターフェースデバイスは、I/Oデバイスと遠隔の表示用計算機とのうちの少なくとも一つに対するインターフェースデバイスである。表示用計算機に対するI/Oインターフェースデバイスは、通信インターフェースデバイスでよい。少なくとも一つのI/Oデバイスは、ユーザインターフェースデバイス、例えば、キーボード及びポインティングデバイスのような入力デバイスと、表示デバイスのような出力デバイスとのうちのいずれでもよい。
・一つ以上の通信インターフェースデバイス。一つ以上の通信インターフェースデバイスは、一つ以上の同種の通信インターフェースデバイス(例えば一つ以上のNIC(Network Interface Card))であってもよいし二つ以上の異種の通信インターフェースデバイス(例えばNICとHBA(Host Bus Adapter))であってもよい。
 また、以下の説明では、「メモリ」は、一つ以上の記憶デバイスの一例である一つ以上のメモリデバイスであり、典型的には主記憶デバイスでよい。メモリにおける少なくとも一つのメモリデバイスは、揮発性メモリデバイスであってもよいし不揮発性メモリデバイスであってもよい。
 また、以下の説明では、「永続記憶装置」は、一つ以上の記憶デバイスの一例である一つ以上の永続記憶デバイスでよい。永続記憶デバイスは、典型的には、不揮発性の記憶デバイス(例えば補助記憶デバイス)でよく、具体的には、例えば、HDD(Hard Disk Drive)、SSD(Solid State Drive)、NVME(Non-Volatile Memory Express)ドライブ、又は、SCM(Storage Class Memory)でよい。
 また、以下の説明では、「記憶装置」は、「メモリ」でもよいし、及び/又は、「永続記憶装置」でもよい。
 また、以下の説明では、「プロセッサ」は、一つ以上のプロセッサデバイスでよい。少なくとも一つのプロセッサデバイスは、典型的には、CPU(Central Processing Unit)のようなマイクロプロセッサデバイスでよいが、GPU(Graphics Processing Unit)のような他種のプロセッサデバイスでもよい。少なくとも一つのプロセッサデバイスは、シングルコアでもよいしマルチコアでもよい。少なくとも一つのプロセッサデバイスは、プロセッサコアでもよい。少なくとも一つのプロセッサデバイスは、処理の一部又は全部を行うハードウェア記述言語によりゲートアレイの集合体である回路(例えばFPGA(Field-Programmable Gate Array)、CPLD(Complex Programmable Logic Device)又はASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuit))といった広義のプロセッサデバイスでもよい。
 また、以下の説明では、「xxxテーブル」といった表現にて、入力に対して出力が得られる情報を説明することがあるが、当該情報は、どのような構造のデータでもよいし(例えば、構造化データでもよいし非構造化データでもよいし)、入力に対する出力を発生するニューラルネットワーク、遺伝的アルゴリズムやランダムフォレストに代表されるような学習モデルでもよい。従って、「xxxテーブル」を「xxx情報」と言うことができる。また、以下の説明において、各テーブルの構成は一例であり、一つのテーブルは、二つ以上のテーブルに分割されてもよいし、二つ以上のテーブルの全部又は一部が一つのテーブルであってもよい。
 また、以下の説明では、「プログラム」を主語として処理を説明する場合があるが、プログラムは、プロセッサによって実行されることで、定められた処理を、適宜に記憶装置及び/又はインターフェース装置を用いながら行うため、処理の主語が、プロセッサ(或いは、そのプロセッサを有するコンピュータ、装置又はシステム)とされてもよい。プログラムは、プログラムソースから計算機のような装置にインストールされてもよい。プログラムソースは、例えば、プログラム配布サーバ又は計算機が読み取り可能な記録媒体(例えば非一時的な記録媒体)であってもよい。また、以下の説明において、二つ以上のプログラムが一つのプログラムとして実現されてもよいし、一つのプログラムが二つ以上のプログラムとして実現されてもよい。

 また、以下の説明では、「日時」の単位は、年月日時分よりも粗い単位でも細かい単位でもよい。
 図1は、実施の形態における複数種類のエリアの概略を示す図である。図1に示す複数種類のエリアは、例えば物流施設(例えば、倉庫や物流センタ)のエリアの一部であってよい。物流施設は、例えば、通販会社や機器製造業の企業が物品を保管するために利用する保管庫である。物流施設に保管されている物品は、例えば商品でもよいし、部品でもよい。
 搬送システムは、移動エリア150を走行する複数の搬送装置3と、各搬送装置3の移動をリモート制御する制御装置4とを備える。搬送装置3には出荷箱87(図3A及び図3B参照)が積載され、出荷箱87に物品(例えば商品又は部品)が入れられる。「出荷箱87」は、出荷単位(梱包単位)として同じ箱(例えばダンボール箱)に梱包される物品が入れられる容器(例えば箱)であり、「オーダ容器」と呼ばれてもよい。出荷単位として異なる箱に梱包される物品は、同じ出荷箱87には入れず、出荷単位毎に対応する出荷箱87にそれぞれ入れられる。出荷箱87内に物品が揃うと、出荷箱87の物品は、検品及び梱包を経て出荷される。出荷箱87に入れられた物品は、出荷される箱(例えばダンボール箱)に作業者又は作業ロボットにより移し替えられて、梱包され出荷されてもよい。又は、出荷箱87が、出荷される箱そのものであってもよい。
 移動エリア150は、検品エリア103、充電エリア104、待機エリア105、及び、異常対応エリア106を含む。検品エリア103は、搬送装置3に積載の出荷箱87にある物品の検品が行われるエリアである。充電エリア104は、搬送装置3の充電が行われるエリアである。待機エリア105は、搬送装置3が待機するエリアである。異常対応エリア106は、搬送装置3の異常への対応が行われるエリアである。エリア103~106の少なくとも一つは、移動エリア150の外にあってもよい。また、エリア103~106の少なくとも一つに代えて又は追加して、他のエリアが移動エリア150の中又は外に設けられてもよい。また、検品は、本実施形態では、移動エリア150内の検品エリア103を搬送装置3が通過する際に行われるが、それに代えて、梱包エリア102に物品が受け渡された後に行われてもよい(この場合、移動エリア150に検品エリア103が無く、梱包エリア102が検品エリアを兼ねてもよい)。
 移動エリア150の外に、出荷箱供給エリア100、複数の保管エリア101、及び、梱包エリア102がある。出荷箱供給エリア100は、出荷箱87が供給されるエリアであり、搬送装置3に出荷箱87が積載される。本実施形態では、出荷箱供給エリア100で空の出荷箱87が供給されるとするが、例えば搬送システム外で取得した物品が出荷箱87に入った状態で供給される等、出荷単位として同じ箱に梱包される物品が一部入れられた状態の出荷箱87が供給されてもよい。保管エリア101は、物品が保管(配置)されているエリアである。梱包エリア102は、物品を有する出荷箱87の梱包がされるエリアである。
 複数の保管エリア101は、少なくとも保管方式、出庫方式、ピッキング方式のいずれかが異なる。複数の保管エリア101の例として、平置きエリア101A、自動倉庫エリア101B、棚搬送エリア101C及び流動棚エリア101Dがある。保管エリア101A~101Dについては後述する。
 図2は、移動エリア150の構成の説明図である。なお、便宜上、二次元方向を、x方向とx方向と直交するy方向とする。
 移動エリア150は、所定大きさの方形状の複数の区画201に区分されて管理されてよい。区画201を、区画(α、β)と表現することができる。αは、x座標(x方向に沿った区画位置)、βは、y座標(y方向に沿った区画位置)である。
 なお、例えば、移動エリア150が、複数のフロアのエリアを含む場合や、メザニンの上下のエリアを含む場合は、z座標を用いることで、各エリアの高さ方向におけるエリア位置を表現可能である。この場合、区画201は、例えば区画(α、β、γ)といった座標形式でもよい。αは、x座標(x方向に沿った区画位置)、βは、y座標(y方向に沿った区画位置)は、γは、z座標(高さ方向におけるエリア位置)である。なお、移動エリア150が複数のフロアに及ぶ場合におけるフロア間の搬送や、メザニンを設けた場合におけるメザニン上下間の搬送は、例えば垂直搬送機により行われてもよい。このとき、垂直搬送機で出荷箱のみを搬送してもよいし、垂直搬送機で出荷箱を積載した搬送装置3を搬送してもよい。
 各区画201内に、当該区画201の位置を表すマーカ(図示せず)が表記されていてよい。マーカは、その区画の位置を特定するための情報を含んでいればよく、例えばその区画の位置情報でもよいし、その区画の位置情報と対応づけられている情報(例えば区画201の識別情報など)であってもよい。マーカは、搬送装置3のセンサ14(図6参照)により読み取り可能な情報であり、例えば一次元コード、QRコード(登録商標)等の二次元コード、RFID(Radio Frequency Identifier)タグ等の情報であってもよい。例えば、搬送装置3は、各区画201を通過する時に、その区画201にあるマーカを読み取る。各搬送装置3は、搬送装置3の識別情報と共に、読み取ったマーカの情報を、制御装置4に送信する。制御装置4は、各搬送装置3から受信した、搬送装置3の識別情報とマーカの情報を基に、各搬送装置3の位置を特定する。区画201の全域に板状部材があり、当該区画201から隣接する別の区画201への移動が可能であり、また、当該区画201において搬送装置3の旋回が可能でよい。
 搬送装置3や出荷箱87は、例えば一つの区画201より小さいサイズであってよい。なお、区画の設定の仕方は様々な変形例があってもよい。また、搬送装置3が進入してはならない区画(例えば区画(3、1))が設けられてもよい。
 移動エリア150の各区画201について、図2に例示する矢印の通り、当該区画201において搬送装置3が移動可能な方向は、制限されないでよい(例えば、+x方向、-x方向、+y方向及び-y方向のいずれも搬送装置3が移動可能な方向でよい)。また、区画201間は、双方向に移動可能に設定されてもよいし、一方向のみに移動可能に設定されてもよい。例えば、一部の区画201間を一方向のみに移動可能な設定とすることで、搬送装置3の渋滞の発生を抑制又は低減し、全体の移動効率を向上することが期待できる。また、一方向のみにしか移動できない区画201間が多い場合には、搬送装置3の移動経路が長くなる可能性があるので、移動エリア150における搬送装置3の数、又は、各区画201の位置や区画設定1202等により、搬送装置3の移動可能な方向が予め設定されてもよいし、そのような方向が動的に制御装置4により設定又は変更されてもよい。
 再び図1を参照する。搬送装置3は、制御装置4からの移動指示に従い移動する装置であり、典型的には、搬送装置(Automatic Guided Vehicle)でよい。例えば、搬送装置3は、制御装置4からの一つ又は複数の移動指示に従い、空の出荷箱87を積載した状態で出荷箱供給エリア100から移動を開始し、二つ以上(又は一つ)の保管エリア101へそれぞれ移動し、当該二つ以上(又は一つ)の保管エリア101の各々から出荷箱87に入れられた物品を有した状態で検品エリア103を経て梱包エリア102に到着する。具体的には、例えば、搬送装置3Aの移動順序は、図示の通り、出荷箱供給エリア100→平置きエリア101A→自動倉庫エリア101B→棚搬送エリア101C→検品エリア103→梱包エリア102である。また、搬送装置3Bの移動順序は、図示の通り、出荷箱供給エリア100→流動棚エリア101D→棚搬送エリア101C→平置きエリア101A→検品エリア103→梱包エリア102である。
 異なる複数の物品が指定されるオーダがあるが、オーダ毎に、制御装置4が、一つ又は複数の出荷箱87を当該オーダに割り当て、当該一つ又は複数の出荷箱87が、一つ又は複数の搬送装置3に積載される。例えば、あるオーダに対応する物品の全てが、出荷単位として同じ箱に梱包される場合、当該オーダ(当該オーダに対応する物品の全て)を一つの出荷箱87に割り当ててもよいが、同じ出荷箱87に入りきらないとき等において複数の出荷箱87に割り当ててもよい。制御装置4は、一つの出荷箱87を配送先が異なる複数のオーダに割り当てないようにする。出荷箱供給エリア100から梱包エリア102への移動順序は、一つの移動指示において指定されてもよいし、複数の移動指示の組み合わせから定まる順序でもよい。なお、搬送装置3に送信される「移動指示」には、当該搬送装置3に割り当てられた移動タスクを表す情報が関連付けられる。なお、本実施の形態において、搬送装置3の「移動」とは、搬送物(出荷箱87や出荷箱87内の物品)の有無に関わらず搬送装置3の移動全般を表す。搬送装置3の「移動」は、搬送装置3の「走行」と言い換えられてもよい。搬送装置3が搬送物を有している状態での「移動」を、特に「搬送」と言うことがある。移動タスクは、当該移動タスク(移動指示)で指定するエリアに、搬送装置3を移動させるタスクであり、搬送装置3に出荷箱87を指定のエリアへと搬送させるタスクが含まれていてよい。移動タスクを表す情報は、例えば、搬送装置3が移動する経路である移動経路と、搬送装置3の移動方向とを含んでよい。
 搬送装置3は、図3Aに示すように、台85を有しており、台85に出荷箱87が積載される。一つの搬送装置3には、図3Aに示すように一つの出荷箱87が積載されてもよいし、図3Bに示すように、複数(二つ以上)の出荷箱87が積載されてもよい。
 搬送装置3には、搭載されたバッテリ(図示しない)の残量が所定値を下回った場合、搬送装置3は、充電エリア104に移動して自動的に充電を行うようになっている。例えば、搬送装置3のバッテリの残量が所定値を下回った場合、搬送装置3が制御装置4に充電要求を行い、制御装置4が充電要求に応答して搬送装置3に充電エリア104に移動し充電するように指示してもよい。
 以下、複数の保管エリア101A~101Dを説明する。なお、その説明において、保管エリア101毎の「停車エリア」は、移動エリア150の中のエリア(例えば、保管エリア101に隣接し移動エリア150の一つ以上の区画201で構成されたエリア)でもよいし、移動エリア150の外(例えば保管エリア101の中)のエリアでもよい。
 図4Aは、平置きエリア101Aの例を示す模式図である。
 平置きエリア101Aは、PTG(Person To Goods)が適用されたエリアの一例である。PTGによれば、作業者(Person)が、物品(Goods)の保管場所2まで歩いて、ピッキングする。
 平置きエリア101Aは、物品エリア400及び一つ以上の作業エリア163Aを含み、作業エリア163A毎に、作業エリア163Aに隣接した停車エリア164Aが設けられている。物品エリア400は、物品が平置きされている各保管場所2を備えるエリアである。物品エリア400は、保管場所2として棚が設けられていて、棚に物品が置かれていてもよい。停車エリア164Aは、搬送装置3が停車するエリアである。作業エリア163Aでは、制御装置4からの作業指示に従い、保管場所2からピッキングされた物品が、当該作業エリア163Aに隣接の停車エリア164Aに停車している搬送装置3の出荷箱87に、作業者により入れられる(積載される)。
 図4Bは、自動倉庫エリア101Bの例を示す模式図である。
 自動倉庫エリア101Bは、GTP(Goods To Person)が適用されたエリアの一例である。GTPによれば、物品(Goods)が、ピッキングする作業者(Person)の場所まで、ロボット(又はその他の装置)により運ばれる。
 自動倉庫エリア101Bは、自動倉庫161B、一つ以上のコンベア162及び一つ以上の作業エリア163Bを含み、作業エリア163B毎に、作業エリア163Bに隣接した停車エリア164Bが設けられている。自動倉庫161Bは、制御装置4からの出庫指示に従い、いずれかのコンベア162に物品を出す(出庫する)。コンベア162は、自動倉庫161Bから出てきた物品を、作業エリア163B(搬送先WS及び/又は出庫先WS)に搬送する。作業エリア163Bは、コンベア162により搬送されている物品が作業者によりピッキングされるエリアである。停車エリア164Bは、搬送装置3が停車するエリアである。作業エリア163Bで、ピッキングされた物品が、当該作業エリア163Bに隣接の停車エリア164Bに停車している搬送装置3の出荷箱87に、作業者により入れられる。
 移動エリア150には、一時待機エリア165が設けられてよい。一時待機エリア165は、保管エリア101や作業エリア163、停車エリア164に向かう搬送装置3が、目的とする保管エリア101や作業エリア163、停車エリア164が満車の場合に、一時的に待機するためのエリアである。例えば、図4Bに示すように、自動倉庫エリア101Bとその停車エリア164B付近に一時待機エリア165が設けられてよい。このとき、例えば、停車エリア164Bが満車である、即ち、全ての停車エリア164Bに搬送装置3が停車済である場合に、搬送装置3は一時待機エリア165に一時待機する。一時待機エリア165は、移動エリア150の中のいかなる所に設けられてもよい。また、一時待機エリア165は複数あってもよく、搬送装置3は複数ある一時待機エリア165のどれを選んでもよい。
 図4Cは、棚搬送エリア101Cの例を示す模式図である。
 棚搬送エリア101Cは、GTPが適用されたエリアの一例である。棚搬送エリア101Cには、複数の棚5が配置されており、複数の棚5に複数の物品が置かれている。棚搬送エリア101Cにおいて、制御装置4からの出庫指示(移動指示)に従い、搬送装置161Cが棚5を搬送する。棚搬送エリア101Cは、一つ以上の作業エリア163Cを含み、作業エリア163C毎に、作業エリア163Cに隣接した停車エリア164Cが設けられている。作業エリア163Cは、搬送装置161Cにより搬送された棚5から物品が作業者によりピッキングされるエリアである。停車エリア164Cは、搬送装置3が停車するエリアである。作業エリア163Cで、ピッキングされた物品が、当該作業エリア163Cに隣接の停車エリア164Cに停車している搬送装置3の出荷箱87に、作業者により入れられる。
 図4Dは、流動棚エリア101Dの例を示す模式図である。
 流動棚エリア101Dは、流動棚450及び一つ以上の作業エリア163Dを含み、作業エリア163D毎に、作業エリア163Dに隣接した停車エリア164Dが設けられている。流動棚450は、上下に配列されたトレーを有し、各トレーに物品が並ぶ。作業エリア163Dにおいて、制御装置4からの作業指示に従い、作業者が、流動棚450から物品をピッキングし、当該作業エリア163Dに隣接した停車エリア164Dに停車している搬送装置3の出荷箱87に、ピッキングした物品を入れる。
 このように、複数の保管エリア101A~101Dは、少なくとも保管方式、出庫方式、ピッキング方式のいずれかが異なる。
 図5は、梱包エリア102の例を示す模式図である。
 梱包エリア102は、一つ以上のコンベア171を含み、コンベア171毎に、梱包機172及び作業エリア173を含む。また、コンベア171毎に停車エリア174がある。例えば、大、中、小といった出荷箱サイズ別に停車エリア174が用意されてもよい。
 コンベア171毎に、停車エリア174は作業エリア173の近傍にある(例えば隣接)。作業エリア173において、作業者が、停車エリア174に停車している搬送装置3からコンベア171に出荷箱87を移す。出荷箱87が出荷される箱(例えばダンボール箱)そのものである場合、コンベア171により搬送されている出荷箱87が、梱包機172により梱包され、梱包された出荷箱87が、コンベア171により搬送され、やがて、出荷(配送)される。又は、出荷箱87に入れられた物品が、出荷される箱(例えばダンボール箱)に作業者により移し替えられて、当該出荷される箱がコンベア171により搬送されて梱包機172により梱包され、梱包された箱がコンベア171により搬送され、やがて、出荷(配送)されてもよい。
 停車エリア174は、移動エリア150の中のエリア(例えば、梱包エリア102に隣接し移動エリア150の一つ以上の区画201で構成されたエリア)でもよいし、移動エリア150の外(例えば梱包エリア102の中)のエリアでもよい。
 図6及び図7は、本実施の形態における搬送システムの要素の具体的な構成例を示す図である。
 搬送システムは、制御装置4と、搬送装置3と、マテハン設備161と、ステーション端末710と、ネットワーク551(例えば、無線LAN(Local Area Network)などの無線通信回線)と、を備える。搬送システムの各構成要素は、一つ又は複数あってもよい。搬送装置3、制御装置4、マテハン設備161及びステーション端末710の各々が、ネットワーク551を介して通信可能である。搬送システムは、「物流システム」と呼ばれてもよい。
 搬送装置3は、駆動装置11、記憶装置12、インターフェース装置13、複数種類のセンサ14、バッテリ、及び、それらに接続されたコントローラ10を備える。
 コントローラ10は、制御装置4からの移動指示や内蔵するバッテリの充電状態などに応じて搬送装置3の動作の制御を司るコントローラである。駆動装置11は、駆動輪20、補助輪21のほか、駆動輪20を回転駆動するためのモータ等のアクチュエータ(図示せず)を備える。
 インターフェース装置13は、所定の無線通信方式により制御装置4と通信を行うための装置であり、例えば無線LANカードなどから構成されてよい。
 センサ14は、搬送装置3が走行する床面の情報や搬送装置3に関する各種情報を収集等するためのデバイスである。例えば、センサ14は、例えば、床面の区画201上のマーカの情報を読み込むことが可能である。搬送装置3は、複数種類のセンサ14として、区画201の状態を撮像したりするためのカメラ、移動中の搬送装置3が受ける振動を検出するための振動センサ、搬送装置3の速度を計測する速度センサ、搬送装置3の加速度を計測する加速度センサ、積載物(搬送物)の重量を計測する重量センサ、及び、搬送装置3の向きを計測するジャイロセンサなどのセンサを備えていてもよい。
 記憶装置12には、例えば、経路テーブル23、装置テーブル24、地図テーブル25、計測テーブル27及び実績テーブル28が格納される。コントローラ10には、通信プログラム29、移動制御プログラム30、計測プログラム31及び位置推定プログラム32が格納されている。通信プログラム29、移動制御プログラム30、計測プログラム31及び位置推定プログラム32がコントローラ10により実行されることで、通信部、走行制御部、計測部及び位置推定部が実現される。
 経路テーブル23は、制御装置4から受信した上述の移動指示や、移動指示で指定された移動経路を表す情報が格納されるテーブルである(移動経路を表す情報は、移動経路の区画の情報等を含んでよい)。装置テーブル24は、搬送装置3のID、現在の位置(区画)、及び、状態(例えば、「待機」、「移動中」又は「搬送中」)が格納されたテーブルである。地図テーブル25は、区画毎の位置及び属性(例えば、いずれの領域に属するか)を表す情報が格納されたテーブルである。なお、地図テーブル25は、図2に例示されるような情報を含んでよい。計測テーブル27は、複数種類のセンサ14により計測された値(例えば、速度、加速度、旋回、重量、位置(マーカから読み取られた値)、区画の撮影画像等)が格納されるテーブルである。実績テーブル28は、搬送装置3が移動した経路及び日時を含む移動実績を表す情報が格納されるテーブルである。
 通信プログラム29は、インターフェース装置13を介して制御装置4との間でコマンドや情報をやり取りする機能を有するプログラムである。例えば、通信プログラム29は、制御装置4からの要求に応じて(又は要求無しに)、テーブル23~25、27及び28のうちの少なくとも一部の情報を制御装置4に送信する。なお、各搬送装置3の通信プログラム29は、これらの情報のそれぞれについて、定期的又は不定期のタイミングで制御装置4に送信してもよい。
 移動制御プログラム30は、制御装置4から通信プログラム29を通じて受信した移動指示に応じて搬送装置3の移動を制御するプログラムである。例えば、移動制御プログラム30は、制御装置4からの移動指示に従い、指定された移動経路で移動するよう駆動装置11を制御する。
 計測プログラム31は、各センサ14の出力(計測結果)を計測テーブル27に登録する。位置推定プログラム32は、搬送装置3のセンサ14を通じて検出されたマーカ(移動エリア150の区画201におけるマーカ)を基に搬送装置3の位置を推定する。
 制御装置4は、プロセッサ40、メモリ41、記憶装置42、入力装置43、出力装置44及びインターフェース装置45といったハードウェアを有する一つ以上の物理計算機でもよいし、一つ以上の物理計算機(例えば、クラウド基盤)に実現されたシステム(例えば、クラウドコンピューティングシステム)でもよい。また、制御装置4が有する各装置については、一つの物理計算機に配置されてもよいし、分散するように複数の物理計算機に配置されてもよい。記憶装置42が有する各プログラムや各情報については、一つの記憶装置に格納されてもよいし、分散するように複数の記憶装置に分けて記憶されてもよい。入力装置43及び出力装置44に代えて、インターフェース装置45を通じて通信可能なクライアントシステムを介して情報の入出力が可能でよい。
 プロセッサ40は、制御装置4全体の動作制御を司るデバイスである。メモリ41は、プロセッサ40のワークメモリとして利用される。記憶装置42には、プログラムやテーブルが格納される。入力装置43は、例えばマウスやキーボードなどから構成され、オペレータが必要な情報や指示を制御装置4に入力するために利用される。出力装置44は、液晶ディスプレイや有機EL(Electro Luminescence)ディスプレイなどの表示装置でよい。インターフェース装置45は、所定の無線通信方式により搬送装置3、マテハン設備161、及びステーション端末710と通信を行うための装置であり、例えば無線LANカードなどから構成されてよい。
 記憶装置42には、例えば、搬送装置テーブル53、在庫テーブル54、オーダテーブル55、地図テーブル56、保管エリアテーブル57、作業管理テーブル58(ピッキング作業管理テーブル581及び積載作業管理テーブル582)、出荷箱テーブル59及び移動エリアテーブル60が格納される。地図テーブル56は、移動エリア150(及び各停車エリア)の地図を表す情報(例えば、区画毎の位置(座標)及び属性が格納されたテーブル)である(このテーブル56が各搬送装置3に配信され、各搬送装置3において地図テーブル25として保存されてよい)。なお、地図テーブル56は、図2に例示されるような情報を含んでよい。
 記憶装置42には、統合WCSプログラム51及び複数のWCSプログラム50が格納されている。統合WCSプログラム51及びWCSプログラム50がプロセッサ40により実行されることで、統合WCS及びWCSが実現される。WCSは、Warehouse Control Systemの略である。統合WCSプログラム51は、搬送装置3やマテハン設備161を統合的に制御する。WCSプログラム50は、マテハン設備161又は搬送装置3を制御する。例えば、第一のWCSプログラム50は、自動倉庫エリア101Bのマテハン設備161(具体的には自動倉庫161B)を制御する。第二のWCSプログラム50は、棚搬送エリア(具体的には搬送装置161C)を制御する。第三のWCSプログラム50は、搬送装置3を制御する。
 マテハン設備161は、保管エリア101(典型的には、GTPが適用された保管エリア)に設けられており、当該保管エリア101の入庫、保管又は出庫等のために用いられる設備である。マテハン設備161は、例えば、自動倉庫エリア101Bにおける自動倉庫161Bや、棚搬送エリア101Cにおける搬送装置161Cである。マテハン設備161は、例えば、インターフェース装置711、記憶装置713、駆動装置714、センサ715及びそれらに接続されたプロセッサ712を有する。
 インターフェース装置711は、所定の無線通信方式により制御装置4と通信を行うための装置であり、例えば無線LANカードなどから構成されてよい。駆動装置714は、マテハン設備161を駆動する装置である。センサ715は、マテハン設備161の位置等を検出するセンサでよい。
 記憶装置713には、在庫テーブル760及び入出庫テーブル761が格納される。在庫テーブル760は、制御装置4が有する在庫テーブル54の少なくとも一部と同じ情報を含んだテーブルでよい。入出庫テーブル761は、物品の入庫又は出庫に関する情報を含んだテーブルでよい。プロセッサ712は、記憶装置713内のプログラムを実行することで、例えば在庫テーブル760及び入出庫テーブル761を基に、マテハン設備161全体の動作制御を司る。
 ステーション端末710は、WS(作業ステーション(つまり作業エリア163))に設けられ、作業者の作業(例えばピッキング作業又は積載作業)に関する情報の一例である作業管理テーブル770を表示し、作業完了時に作業者からの入力を受け付ける情報処理端末である。作業完了の入力により、対象の作業の作業状態が更新される。ステーション端末710が、インターフェース装置731、記憶装置732及びそれらに接続されたプロセッサ733を有する。なお、WSは、ワークステーション(Work Station)やワーキングステーション(Working Station)と呼ばれてもよい。
 インターフェース装置731は、所定の無線通信方式により制御装置4と通信を行うための装置であり、例えば無線LANカードなどから構成されてよい。記憶装置732には、作業管理テーブル770が格納される。作業管理テーブル770は、制御装置4が有する作業管理テーブル58のうち、当該WSに対応の情報を含んだテーブルでよい。プロセッサ733は、記憶装置732内のプログラムを実行することで、例えば作業管理テーブル770を基に、ステーション端末710全体の動作制御を司る。ステーション端末710は、入力装置及び出力装置を備えていてもよい。入力装置は、作業の完了等、作業者による作業に関する情報の入力を受け付けてよい。出力装置は、作業者への作業に関する指示等を出力してよい。
 図8は、オーダテーブル55の構成例を示す図である。
 オーダテーブル55は、顧客からのオーダに関する各種情報が格納されるテーブルである。オーダテーブル55は、物品毎にレコードを有する。各レコードが、ステータス601、伝票番号602、出荷箱ID603、店ID604、物品名605、物品ID606、個数607、納期608、受信日時609、作業日時610及び優先フラグ611といった情報を保持する。一つの物品を例に取る(図8の説明において「注目物品」)。図8が示す例によれば、伝票番号602が同じあれば、物品の種類(例えば、物品名605及び物品ID606)が違っていても、一つのオーダとして扱われてよい。
 ステータス601は、注目物品に関する作業ステータスを表す。伝票番号602は、注目物品が指定されたオーダの番号(伝票の番号)を表す。
 出荷箱ID603は、注目物品に割り当てられた出荷箱87のIDを表す。店ID604は、物品の販売元又は製造元の店のIDを表す。
 物品名605は、注目物品の名前を表し、物品ID606は、注目物品のIDを表し、個数607は、注目物品の数(オーダされた個数)を表す。
 納期608は、注目物品が配送先(典型的には顧客)へ届けられる期限を表す。受信日時609は、注目物品が指定されたオーダを受信した日時を表す。作業日時610は、注目物品に関する特定の作業(例えばピッキング作業、積載作業、検品作業、梱包作業等)が行われる日時を表す。これらの情報に加えて又は代えて、作業期限や出荷期限の情報があってもよい。
 優先フラグ611は、突発的なオーダや作業期限が迫っている等、優先すべきオーダ(伝票番号又は出荷箱グループ)に付与されるフラグである。優先フラグ611が「あり」のオーダは、優先フラグ611がないオーダに比べて、優先度が高いオーダである。なお、優先フラグ611は、優先度が「高い」「普通」「低い」等の多段階の優先度であってもよい。
 優先フラグ611は、例えば作業期限まで所定の時間以下の場合や、オーダが特急の指定があるオーダである場合等に、自動的に付与されてもよいし、管理者及び/又は作業者の入力により付与されてもよい。また、オーダが複数の出荷箱に分かれており、一部の出荷箱のステータス601がピッキング完了であるが、残りの出荷箱のステータス601がピッキング未完了の場合に、当該残りの出荷箱に関して優先フラグ611を付与する等、オーダに関する物品の滞留を防ぐ等の効率化の目的で、付与されるものであってもよい。
 図9は、在庫テーブル54の構成例を示す図である。
 在庫テーブル54は、物品に関する情報が格納されるテーブルである。在庫テーブル54は、物品と保管エリア101との組毎にレコードを有する。在庫テーブル54は、物品と保管エリア101のエリア内位置705との組毎にレコードを有していてもよい。各レコードが、物品名701、物品ID702、在庫数703、保管エリア704、エリア内位置705、保管容器ID706、容器内位置707、出庫回数708及び物品サイズ重量709といった情報を保持する。一つの物品を例に取る(図9の説明において「注目物品」)。
 物品名701は、注目物品の名前を表す。物品ID702は、注目物品のIDを表す。在庫数703は、注目物品の在庫数を表す。保管エリア704は、注目物品が配置されている保管エリア101のIDを表す。エリア内位置705は、注目物品の保管エリア101での位置を表す。保管容器ID706は、エリア内位置705が表す位置にある保管容器のIDを表す。容器内位置707は、注目物品の保管容器での位置を表す。出庫回数708は、物品の出庫回数を表す。物品サイズ重量709は、物品のサイズ又は重量を表す。
 保管エリア101によって、情報705~707の構成は異なる。例えば、保管エリア101が自動倉庫エリア101Bの場合、エリア内位置705は、自動倉庫エリア101BのIDと、自動倉庫内位置(列、段、行)とを表す値で構成され、保管容器ID706は、自動倉庫エリア101Bで用いられる保管容器であるバケットのIDを表す値で構成され、容器内位置707は、バケット内の間口を表す値で構成される。保管エリア101が平置きエリア101Aの場合、エリア内位置705は、平置きエリア101AのIDと、当該平置きエリア101A内の位置(例えば、列、段、行(又は、列、行))とを表す値で構成される。保管エリア101が棚搬送エリア101Cの場合、エリア内位置705は、移動棚の保管区画ID(又は番地)と、移動棚の面と、移動棚の段と、移動棚の間口とを表す値で構成され、保管容器ID706は、移動棚のIDを表す値で構成され、容器内位置707は、移動棚の間口内の位置を表す値で構成される。保管エリア101が流動棚エリア101Dの場合、エリア内位置705は、流動棚のIDを表す値で構成され、容器内位置707は、流動棚内の位置を表す値で構成される。
 図10は、保管エリアテーブル57の構成例を示す図である。
 保管エリアテーブル57は、保管エリア101に関する情報が格納されるテーブルである。保管エリアテーブル57は、エリア内位置毎にレコードを有する。各レコードが、保管エリア801、方式802、一時待機エリア803、エリア内位置804及びステーションID805といった情報を保持する。一つのエリア内位置を例に取る(図10の説明において「注目エリア内位置」)。
 保管エリア801は、注目エリア内位置を有する保管エリア101の種類を表す。方式802は、出庫又はピッキングの方式を表す。
 一時待機エリア803は、一時待機エリアの有無を表す。一時待機エリアの有無は、保管エリア101毎に管理されてもよいし、WS(又はWSグループ(二つ以上のWS))毎に管理されてもよい。一時待機エリアは、WS毎にエリアが確保されてもよいが、複数のWSが一時待機エリアを共有してもよい。
 エリア内位置804は、注目エリア内位置を表す。ステーションID805は、エリア内位置に対応したWS(出庫可能なWS)のIDを表す。
 図11は、搬送装置テーブル53の構成例を示す図である。
 搬送装置テーブル53は、各搬送装置3に関する情報が格納されたテーブルである。搬送装置テーブル53は、搬送装置3毎にレコードを有する。各レコードが、装置ID1101、出荷箱ID1102、位置1103、バッテリ残量1104、装置状態1105、保管エリア1106、目的位置1107及び到着予定日時1108といった情報を保持する。一つの搬送装置3を例に取る(図11の説明において「注目搬送装置3」)。
 装置ID1101は、注目搬送装置3のIDを表す。出荷箱ID1102は、注目搬送装置3に積載される出荷箱87のIDを表す。注目搬送装置3に複数の出荷箱87が積載される場合、注目搬送装置3のIDとして複数のIDが記録される。例えば、図11の例において、装置ID1101が「搬送装置04-R」と「搬送装置04-L」のレコードは、装置IDが「搬送装置04」の装置正面の右側(R)に出荷箱ID「B08」の出荷箱が積載され、装置IDが「搬送装置04」の装置正面の左側(L)に出荷箱ID「B09」の出荷箱が積載されていることを表している。
 位置1103は、注目搬送装置3が位置する区画(つまり現在区画)の座標を表す。バッテリ残量1104は、注目搬送装置3のバッテリの残量を表す。
 装置状態1105は、注目搬送装置3の状態を表す。“移動中”は、注目搬送装置3が移動していることを意味する。“空き”は、注目搬送装置3に出荷箱が割り当てられていないことを意味する。“停車中”は、注目搬送装置3が停車エリア(又は一時待機エリア)に停車していることを意味する。
 保管エリア1106は、注目搬送装置3の移動先の保管エリアを表す。目的位置1107は、注目搬送装置3の移動先の位置を表し、保管エリア1106に関連する場所又は保管エリア1106に近傍の場所でよい。例えば、保管エリア1106のWS(作業エリア)前の停車エリア、又は、一時待機エリアでよい。
 到着予定日時1108は、注目搬送装置3が移動先に到着する予定日時である。到着予定日時1108は、例えば、注目搬送装置3の移動先への移動経路を基に統合WCSプログラム51(又はWCSプログラム50)により算出された日時でよい。
 図12は、移動エリアテーブル60の構成例を示す図である。
 移動エリアテーブル60は、移動エリア150における区画毎の情報を保持する。移動エリアテーブル60は、区画毎にレコードを有する。各レコードが、番地1201、区画設定1202、ステーションID1203、使用不可フラグ1204、旋回不可フラグ1205及び方向1206といった情報を保持する。一つの区画を例に取る(図12の説明において「注目区画」)。
 番地1201は、注目区画の番地(位置情報)を表す。区画設定1202は、注目区画がどのような区画として設定されているかを表す。例えば、“移動用区画”とは、搬送装置3が走行する区画である。“停車エリア”は、停車エリアに属する区画である。“一時待機エリア”は、一時待機エリアに属する区画である。ステーションID1203は、注目区画に対応するWSのIDを表す。
 使用不可フラグ1204は、注目区画が使用不可(移動経路の構成要素になり得ない)か否かを表すフラグである。旋回不可フラグ1205は、注目区画が搬送装置3の旋回が不可か否かを表す。方向1206は、注目区画に存在する搬送装置3が移動可能な方向を表す。
 なお、保管エリア101内で搬送装置のような搬送装置が走行する場合、その保管エリア101について、移動エリアテーブル60と同様のテーブルが管理されてよい。この場合、主に、その搬送装置を制御するWCSプログラム50が、当該テーブルを参照又は更新してもよい。
 図13は、出荷箱テーブル59の構成例を示す図である。
 出荷箱テーブル59は、各出荷箱に関する情報が格納されたテーブルである。出荷箱テーブル59は、出荷箱のサイズ区分毎にレコードを有する。各レコードが、サイズ区分1301、積載可能サイズ1302、積載可能重量1303、積載可能数1304及び出荷箱ID1305といった情報を保持する。一つの出荷箱を例に取る(図13の説明において「注目出荷箱」)。
 サイズ区分1301は、注目出荷箱が属するサイズ区分(例えば、大中小)を表す。積載可能サイズ1302は、注目出荷箱に積載可能な物品のサイズ(例えば、幅、奥行き、高さ)を表す。積載可能重量1303は、注目出荷箱に積載可能な物品の重量を表す。
 積載可能数1304は、注目出荷箱が属するサイズ区分と同じサイズ区分に属する出荷箱を搬送装置3に積載可能な最大数を表す。
 出荷箱ID1305は、注目出荷箱のIDを表す。具体的には、サイズ区分毎に、出荷箱ID1305は、当該サイズ区分に属する注目出荷箱のIDのリストである。なお、出荷箱ID1305に含まれるIDは、全ての出荷箱を対象にしてもよいが、伝票番号に対して未割当の出荷箱(つまり空きの出荷箱)のIDのみとしてもよい(つまり、出荷箱ID1305から割当て対象の出荷箱のIDが選択された場合、出荷箱ID1305から当該IDは削除されてよい)。
 また、出荷箱テーブル59について、出荷箱毎にレコードを有して、上述の情報1301~1305に加えて、各出荷箱の割り当て状況(未割当て又は割当て済のステータス、割当て済の伝票番号、割当て済みの搬送装置3のID等)を管理してもよい。
 図14は、積載作業管理テーブル582の構成例を示す図である。
 積載作業管理テーブル582は、積載作業に関するテーブルである。積載作業管理テーブル582は、積載作業毎にレコードを有する。各レコードが、ステーションID1401、伝票番号1402、装置ID1403、出荷箱ID1404、物品ID1405、数量1406、開始予定日時1407、終了予定日時1408及び作業状態1409といった情報を保持する。一回の積載作業を例に取る(図14の説明において「注目積載作業」)。
 ステーションID1401は、注目積載作業が行われるWSのIDを表す。伝票番号1402は、注目積載作業に対応したオーダの伝票番号を表す。装置ID1403は、注目積載作業において物品を入れる(積載する)出荷箱87をWSに搬送する搬送装置3のIDを表す。
 出荷箱ID1404は、注目積載作業において物品を入れる(積載する)出荷箱のIDを表し、物品ID1405は、当該物品のIDを表し、数量1406は、注目積載作業において積載される当該物品の数を表す。
 開始予定日時1407は、注目積載作業の開始予定日時を表す。終了予定日時1408は、注目積載作業の終了予定日時を表す。開始予定日時1407は、移動経路に沿って搬送装置3がWSに到着する予定日時や、注目積載作業より前に行われる積載作業に要する予測時間長(又は終了予定日時)を基に、統合WCSプログラム51又はWCSプログラム50により算出されてよい。終了予定日時1408は、開始予定日時1407と、注目積載作業に要する予測時間長とを基に統合WCSプログラム51又はWCSプログラム50により算出されてよい。積載作業に要する予測時間長は、積載作業対象の物品の数量、積載作業の平均的な所用時間、及び、積載作業の作業者の過去の積載作業履歴、のうちの少なくとも一つを基に、統合WCSプログラム51又はWCSプログラム50により算出されてよい。なお、積載作業は、作業者に代えて又は加えてロボットにより行われてもよい。
 作業状態1409は、注目積載作業の状態を表す。“作業前”は、注目積載作業が開始される前であることを意味する。“作業中”は、注目積載作業が開始されたが注目積載作業が完了していないことを意味する。“完了”は、注目積載作業が完了したことを意味する。なお、作業状態1409の変更は、注目積載作業の作業者からの入力を基に行われてもよいし、注目積載作業に関して自動検出された値を基に自動で行われてもよい。
 なお、積載作業管理テーブル582は、各WSの積載作業の状況が分かるように、例えばWS毎にテーブルを作成する等、WS毎にレコードを管理してもよく、またレコードの順番は、各WSに搬送装置3(出荷箱87)が到着した順番でよい。
 図15は、ピッキング作業管理テーブル581の構成例を示す図である。
 ピッキング作業管理テーブル581は、ピッキング作業に関するテーブルである。ピッキング作業管理テーブル581は、ピッキング作業毎にレコードを有する。各レコードが、ステーションID1501、伝票番号1502、保管容器ID1503、物品ID1504、数量1505、開始予定日時1506、終了予定日時1507及び作業状態1508といった情報を保持する。一回のピッキング作業を例に取る(図15の説明において「注目ピッキング作業」)。
 ステーションID1501は、注目ピッキング作業が行われるWSのIDを表す。伝票番号1502は、注目ピッキング作業に対応したオーダの伝票番号を表す。保管容器ID1503は、注目ピッキング作業においてピッキングされる物品を有する保管容器のIDを表す。
 物品ID1504は、注目ピッキング作業においてピッキングされる物品のIDを表し、数量1505は、ピッキングされる物品の数を表す。
 開始予定日時1506は、注目ピッキング作業の開始予定日時を表す。終了予定日時1507は、注目ピッキング作業の終了予定日時を表す。開始予定日時1506は、保管容器がWSに到着する予定日時や、注目ピッキング作業より前に行われるピッキング作業に要する予測時間長(又は終了予定日時)を基に、統合WCSプログラム51又はWCSプログラム50により算出されてよい。終了予定日時1507は、開始予定日時1506と、ピッキング作業に要する予測時間長とを基に統合WCSプログラム51又はWCSプログラム50により算出されてよい。ピッキング作業に要する予測時間長は、ピッキング作業対象の物品の数量、ピッキング作業の平均的な所用時間、及び、ピッキング作業の作業者の過去のピッキング作業履歴、のうちの少なくとも一つを基に、統合WCSプログラム51又はWCSプログラム50により算出されてよい。なお、ピッキング作業は、作業者に代えて又は加えてロボットにより行われてもよい。
 作業状態1508は、注目ピッキング作業の状態を表す。“作業前”は、注目ピッキング作業が開始される前であることを意味する。“作業中”は、注目ピッキング作業が開始されたが注目ピッキング作業が完了していないことを意味する。“完了”は、注目ピッキング作業が完了したことを意味する。なお、作業状態1508の変更は、注目ピッキング作業の作業者からの入力を基に行われてもよいし、注目ピッキング作業に関して自動検出された値を基に自動で行われてもよい。
 なお、ピッキング作業管理テーブル581は、各WSのピッキング作業の状況が分かるように、例えばWS毎にテーブルを作成する等、WS毎にレコードを管理してもよく、またレコードの順番は、各WSに物品(保管容器)が到着した順番でよい。
 また、異なる複数の伝票番号(例えば“81”及び“85”)を表す伝票番号1502があるが、これは、積載作業管理テーブル582(例えば、伝票番号1402“81”及び“85”を有するレコード)に関連し、一回のピッキング作業において、当該伝票番号の異なるオーダの物品が纏めてピッキングされることを表す。
 以下、本実施の形態で行われる処理の例を説明する。なお、本実施の形態では、各搬送装置3、各マテハン設備161、各ステーション端末710から制御装置4が定期的又は不定期的に受信する情報(例えば、センサの計測値を含んだ情報)を基に、統合WCSプログラム51又はWCSプログラム50により、テーブル53~60のうちの該当部分が適宜に更新される。
 図16~図21は、オーダ処理の流れを示すフローチャートである。なお、以下の説明において、「WCSプログラム50X」は、移動先の保管エリア101のマテハン設備161に対応のWCSプログラム50である。「WCSプログラム50Y」は、搬送装置3に対応のWCSプログラム50である。
 図16に示すように、S1601で、統合WCSプログラム51は、オーダテーブル55から、作業日時610が所定の作業日時に該当する一つ以上のレコードを選択する。なお、優先フラグ611が「あり」のオーダは、当該オーダに対する以下のオーダ処理における少なくとも一部の処理において、優先フラグのないオーダに比べて、優先的な処理がされてよい(例えば、保管エリア101のマテハン設備161からの物品の出庫順や、搬送装置3の停車エリア164への到着順及び/又は待機順における優先を含む)。
 S1602で、統合WCSプログラム51は、オーダテーブル55を参照し、出荷箱ID603が未割当の伝票番号を特定し、出荷箱選択処理を行う。ここでは、例えば、特定された伝票番号に対応の全ての物品が一つの出荷箱に入らない場合、それらの物品を複数の出荷箱に分けることが決定される。また、出荷箱のサイズが複数ある場合、出荷箱のサイズが特定され、且つ、一つの搬送装置3に、複数の出荷箱が積載されるか否かが判定される(複数の出荷箱を積載する場合、積載する出荷箱の数を決定する)。このS1602が行われることで、S1601で特定された全てのレコードの各々における出荷箱に関する情報(例えば、各レコードに対応する出荷箱グループID、出荷箱のサイズ、搬送装置3に積載する出荷箱の数、出荷箱グループの組合せ、出荷箱ID等の一部又は全部の情報)が設定(決定)され、オーダテーブル55に記録される。
 S1603で、統合WCSプログラム51は、搬送装置テーブル53を参照する。
 S1604で、統合WCSプログラム51は、出荷箱が未割当て(装置状態1105が“空き”)の搬送装置3を特定する。
 S1605で、統合WCSプログラム51は、特定した搬送装置3を供給WS(出荷箱供給エリア100のWS)に移動させる移動要求をWCSプログラム50Yに送信する。移動要求には、S1604で特定された搬送装置の装置IDと行先エリア(例えば移動先の停車エリア)とが指定される。
 S1606で、WCSプログラム50Yは、当該移動要求に従い、指定された搬送装置3に、供給WSへの移動の移動指示を送信する。
 S1607で、WCSプログラム50Yは、搬送装置3から、供給WSに到着完了の通知を受信し、搬送装置3が供給WSに到着したことを統合WCSに報告する。
 S1608で、統合WCSプログラム51は、到着完了の報告を受信する。
 図17に示すように、S1609で、統合WCSプログラム51は、供給WSのステーション端末710に、出荷箱の積載要求を送信する。積載要求は、例えば、S1602で特定された出荷箱に関する情報(例えば、出荷箱グループID、出荷箱のサイズ、搬送装置3に積載する出荷箱の数、出荷箱グループの組合せ、出荷箱ID等の一部又は全部の情報)を含む。
 S1610で、供給WSのステーション端末710は、当該積載要求を基に、出荷箱の積載指示を表示する。表示される積載指示は、供給WSに対応の停車エリアに到着している搬送装置3に積載する出荷箱に関する情報であって、積載要求に含まれていた情報を含む。表示された積載指示に従い積載作業が行われる。例えば、供給WSでは、作業者又は作業ロボットが、積載指示で指定された「出荷箱のサイズ」及び「出荷箱の数」の出荷箱について、積載する出荷箱に付いているコード(例えば、出荷箱IDを含む)をコードリーダのようなスキャン端末でスキャンする(読み取る)こと等により、積載する出荷箱IDの情報がステーション端末710に入力されてよい。コードがスキャンされた出荷箱を、作業者又は作業ロボットがWSの搬送装置3に積載する。出荷箱のサイズが複数ある場合、積載指示の表示は、出荷箱のサイズの情報を含む。作業者は、そのサイズの出荷箱を積載する(つまり、積載指示に従い、一つの搬送装置3に、一つ又は複数の出荷箱が積載される)。
 なお、変形例として、出荷箱のサイズ毎に、供給WSが分かれていてもよく、この場合、統合WCSプログラム51は、出荷箱のサイズに応じた供給WSに搬送装置3を移動させるように移動要求をWCSプログラム50Yに送信してよい。別の変形例として、装置状態1105“空き”に対応の搬送装置3がある場合に、供給WSで、先に出荷箱を積載しておき、その後で、未割当ての伝票番号(出荷箱グループ)がその出荷箱に割り当てられてもよい。
 S1611で、ステーション端末710は、作業者から、積載完了の入力を受け、統合WCSプログラム51に、積載完了(例えば、出荷箱IDの情報を含む)を報告する。
 S1612で、統合WCSプログラム51は、積載完了の報告を受信して、搬送装置テーブル53を更新する(対象の搬送装置3について、出荷箱ID1102として、積載された出荷箱のIDを設定する)。
 S1613で、統合WCSプログラム51は、オーダテーブル55を更新する。例えば、統合WCSプログラム51は、対象の伝票番号(出荷箱グループ)に当該積載された出荷箱を割り当てる。統合WCSプログラム51は、同じ搬送装置に複数の出荷箱が積載されている場合、対象の出荷箱グループの組合せに対応する各出荷箱グループに、当該積載された出荷箱を其々割り当てる。統合WCSプログラム51は、オーダテーブル55において、各出荷箱グループに対応する各物品のレコードに、出荷箱ID603として、積載された(割り当てた)出荷箱のIDを設定する。
 なお、変形例として、S1602(図16)で出荷箱IDが設定され、S1609の積載要求及びS1610の積載指示に出荷箱IDの情報が含まれる場合、作業者又は作業ロボットが、積載指示で指定された出荷箱IDの出荷箱を、搬送装置3に積載してもよい。
 図18に示すように、S1614で、統合WCSプログラム51は、オーダテーブル55及び在庫テーブル54を参照して、対象の伝票番号に対応する物品(ステータス601がピッキング又は積載が未完了であることを表す物品)を保管している保管エリア101を特定する。
 S1615で、統合WCSプログラム51は、作業管理テーブル58(ピッキング作業管理テーブル581及び積載作業管理テーブル582)、保管エリアテーブル57、移動エリアテーブル60、及び、搬送装置テーブル53を参照する(更に、例えば、各マテハン設備161の入出庫テーブル761を参照する)。統合WCSプログラム51は、参照したテーブルから、各WSの作業状況(例えば、作業能力や混雑状況)、各搬送装置3の位置や移動状況(例えば、移動先や到着予定日時)、出庫予定の物品等を特定し、移動先の保管エリアと目的位置(例えば移動先保管エリア101のWS又は一時待機エリア)を決定(選択)する。統合WCSプログラム51は、その決定に基づき、巡回順序(少なくとも最初の移動先を含む全部又は一部の移動先)を決定する。統合WCSプログラム51は、搬送装置テーブル53(例えば、装置状態1105、保管エリア1106及び目的位置1107)を更新する。
 S1616で、統合WCSプログラム51は、保管エリアテーブル57を参照し、移動先の保管エリア101がGTPエリア(GTPが適用されたエリア)であるか否かを判定する。S1616の判定結果が偽の場合(S1616:NO)、処理がS1632(図20)に進む。
 S1616の判定結果が真の場合(S1616:YES)、S1617で、統合WCSプログラム51は、搬送装置3を目的位置に移動させる移動要求をWCSプログラム50Yに送信する。
 S1618で、WCSプログラム50Yは、移動要求に従い、搬送装置3を目的位置へ移動させる移動指示を搬送装置3に送信する。
 S1619で、WCSプログラム50Yは、搬送装置3から、目的位置に到着したとの完了の通知を受信し、統合WCSプログラム51に、到着完了を報告する。
 S1620で、統合WCSプログラム51は、到着完了の報告を受信する。
 図19に示すように、S1621で、統合WCSプログラム51は、移動先保管エリア101から物品(対象の伝票番号に対応する物品)を出庫する出庫要求を、移動先保管エリア101のマテハン設備161に対応のWCSプログラム50Xに送信する。
 S1622で、WCSプログラム50Xは、出庫要求に従い、対象の伝票番号に対応する物品を出庫する出庫指示を、対応のマテハン設備161に送信する。なお、出庫指示が、例えば、保管エリア101における出庫先WSや、物品の到着順及びタイミングを表す情報を一部又は全部含んでいてもよい。
 例えば、WCSプログラム50Xは、在庫テーブル54を参照して、出庫対象の物品の物品名701及び/又は物品ID702に対応するエリア内位置705を特定する。WCSプログラム50Xは、保管エリアテーブル57を参照して、エリア内位置705に対応するエリア内位置804を特定し、当該エリア内位置804に対応するステーションID805を特定し、出庫先となるWS(出庫先WS、搬送先WS)を特定(決定)する。
 なお、ステーションIDが複数ある場合、WCSプログラム50Xは、ピッキング作業管理テーブル581を参照して、各WSの作業タスクが平準化又は(作業者の作業処理スピード等に基づいて)最適化されるように、各WSのピッキング作業タスクの状況を考慮して、当該物品の出庫先となるWSを決定してもよい。また、他のピッキング作業タスク(他の伝票番号に対応する物品等、同じ又は異なる物品に対するピッキング作業タスク)とあわせて、纏めてピッキングしたほうが効率的な場合は、WCSプログラム50Xは、纏めてピッキング可能なように、出庫先となるWSが同じWSとなるよう出庫先WSを決定し、また出庫先WSに物品が到着する到着順及び/又はタイミングを決定してもよい。
 S1623で、WCSプログラム50Xは、マテハン設備161から、物品の出庫状況や搬送状況を表す状況情報を受信し、状況情報を統合WCSに報告する。状況情報は、例えば、保管エリア101における出庫先WSや、物品の到着順及びタイミングを表す情報を含んでよい。
 S1624で、統合WCSプログラム51は、出庫状況及び搬送状況の状況情報を含んだ報告を受信する。
 S1625で、統合WCSプログラム51は、保管WS(移動先保管エリア101のWS)のステーション端末710に出力要求(ピッキング及び積載の作業指示の表示の要求)を送信したり、WCSプログラム50Yに移動要求を送信したりする。具体的には、例えば、統合WCSプログラム51は、状況情報(例えば、出庫先WSや、物品の到着順及びタイミングの情報)を基に、保管WSのステーション端末710に出力要求を送信したり、搬送装置3が保管WSに対応する停車エリア164に到着する順やタイミングと、物品が出庫先WSに到着する順やタイミングとが同じになるような移動要求を決定してWCSプログラム50Yに送信したりする。作業指示は、移動先保管エリア101でピッキングし搬送装置3に積載すべき物品、物品個数、及び物品位置(エリア内位置や容器内位置)を表す情報を含む。
 S1626で、WCSプログラム50Yは、移動要求に従い、搬送装置3の目的位置(保管エリア101のWS)への移動指示を当該搬送装置3に送信する。
 S1627で、WCSプログラム50Yは、搬送装置3から、目的位置に到着したとの完了の通知を受信し、統合WCSプログラム51に、到着完了を報告する。
 S1628で、保管WSのステーション端末710は、出力要求を基に、ピッキング及び/又は積載の作業指示を表示する。
 S1629で、ステーション端末710は、作業者から、ピッキング完了及び/又は積載完了の入力を受け、統合WCSプログラム51に、作業完了を報告する。
 S1630で、統合WCSプログラム51は、到着完了の報告を受信する。
 S1631で、統合WCSプログラム51は、ピッキング完了及び/又は積載完了の報告を受信し、オーダテーブル55のステータス601を更新(対象の伝票番号に対応の当該物品のステータス601をピッキング及び/又は積載が“完了”に更新)する。そのステータス601についてピッキング及び積載が“完了”のステータスとなった後、処理がS1640(図21)に進む。
 図18のS1616:NOの場合、上述したように、処理が図20のS1632に進む。S1632で、統合WCSプログラム51は、搬送装置3を移動先保管エリア101の目的位置(保管WS)に移動させる移動要求をWCSプログラム50Yに送信する。
 S1633で、WCSプログラム50Yは、移動要求に従い、搬送装置3の目的位置への移動指示を当該搬送装置3に送信する。
 S1634で、WCSプログラム50Yは、搬送装置3から、目的位置に到着したとの完了の通知を受信し、統合WCSプログラム51に、到着完了を報告する。
 S1635で、統合WCSプログラム51は、到着完了の報告を受信する。
 S1636で、統合WCSプログラム51は、保管WSのステーション端末710に、ピッキングや積載の作業指示を表示する要求である出力要求を送信する。作業指示は、移動先保管エリア101でピッキングし搬送装置3に積載すべき物品、物品個数、及び物品位置(エリア内位置や容器内位置)を表す情報を含む。
 S1637で、ステーション端末710は、出力要求を基に、ピッキングや積載の作業指示を表示する。
 S1638で、ステーション端末710は、作業者から、ピッキングや積載の完了の入力を受け、統合WCSプログラム51に、作業完了を報告する。
 S1639で、統合WCSプログラム51は、作業完了の報告を受信し、オーダテーブル55のステータス601を更新(対象の伝票番号に対応の当該物品のステータス601をピッキング及び/又は積載が“完了”に更新)する。そのステータス601についてピッキング及び積載が“完了”のステータスとなった後、処理がS1640(図21)に進む。
 図21に示すように、S1640で、統合WCSプログラム51は、オーダテーブル55のうち、対象の伝票番号(及び/又は対象の出荷箱ID)に対応する各物品のステータス601を参照する。
 S1641で、統合WCSプログラム51は、対象の伝票番号(又は対象の出荷箱ID、又は同じ搬送装置3に積載する複数の出荷箱ID)に対応する各物品のステータス601が“完了”か否か(即ち、対象の伝票番号に対応の全ての物品を出荷箱に積載済か否か)を判定する。S1641の判定結果が偽の場合(S1641:NO)、処理が図18のS1614に戻る。つまり、別の移動先保管エリアが特定され、同様の処理が進む。
 S1641の判定結果が真の場合(S1641:YES)、S1642で、統合WCSプログラム51は、搬送装置3を検品エリア103の目的位置に移動させる移動要求をWCSプログラム50Yに送信する。
 S1643で、WCSプログラム50Yは、移動要求に従い、搬送装置3を目的位置(検品エリア103)へ移動させる移動指示を当該搬送装置3に送信する。
 S1644で、WCSプログラム50Yは、搬送装置3から、目的位置に到着したとの完了の通知を受信し、統合WCSプログラム51に、到着完了を報告する。
 S1645で、統合WCSプログラム51は、到着完了の報告を受信し、検品エリア103の検品装置(図示せず)に検品指示を送信する。
 S1646で、統合WCSプログラム51は、検品完了の報告を受信し、搬送装置3を梱包エリア102の目的位置に移動させる移動要求をWCSプログラム50Yに送信する。
 S1647で、WCSプログラム50Yは、移動要求に従い、搬送装置3を目的位置(梱包エリア102)へ移動させる移動指示を当該搬送装置3に送信する。
 S1648で、WCSプログラム50Yは、搬送装置3から、目的位置に到着したとの完了の通知を受信し、統合WCSプログラム51に、到着完了を報告する。
 S1649で、統合WCSプログラム51は、到着完了の報告を受信し、梱包エリア102のWSのステーション端末710に、出荷箱を梱包エリア102に移載させる積載指示の出力要求を送信する。統合WCSプログラム51は、出荷箱が取り出された搬送装置3の装置状態1105を“空き”に更新して、搬送装置3を次の目的位置(例えば、待機エリア105や、出荷箱供給エリア100等)に移動させる移動要求をWCSプログラム50Yに送信する。
 本実施形態では、オーダテーブル55には、例えば、顧客から新規のオーダが届く毎に新たなレコードが追加される。また、図16~図21に記載のフローチャート(例えば、S1615)において、一時待機エリアを目的位置とする場合、後述の待機位置適正度に従って、一つ以上の一時待機エリアの中から適正度の高いエリアを選択し、目的位置として決定(選択)する。一つの一時待機エリアは、移動エリア150の中又は外における一つの区画でよい。以下の説明では、一時待機エリアを「待機位置」と呼ぶ。本実施形態では、複数の待機位置が存在する。以下の説明では、待機位置や目的位置のような「位置」と、移動エリア150における「区画」は同義でよい。
 また、「ピッキング作業」という言葉は、作業ステーションにおいて行われる作業を意味し、典型的には、保管設備101において出庫された物品をピッキングする作業、及び/又は、ピッキングした物品を出荷箱に入れる積載作業を含む。上述の説明では、ピッキング作業と積載作業の管理テーブルが分かれており、適宜、ピッキング作業と積載作業は区別されていたが、説明を簡単にするために、ピッキング作業は、ワークステーションで行われる作業としての広義のピッキング作業でよく、広義のピッキング作業は、積載作業と狭義のピッキング作業を含んでよい。
 制御装置4(制御システムの一例)が、インターフェース装置45(インターフェース装置の一例)と、メモリ41及び記憶装置42(記憶装置の一例)と、インターフェース装置45、メモリ41及び記憶装置42に接続されたプロセッサ40(プロセッサの一例)とを備える。物流施設(例えば、倉庫や物流センタ)は、少なくとも保管方式、出庫方式及びピッキング方式のいずれかが異なる複数の保管設備101を備える。複数の保管設備101の各々について、物品のピッキング作業が行われるエリアであるWS163と、搬送装置3が停車するエリアである停車エリア164とが設けられている。複数の保管設備101のうちの一つ以上の保管設備101が、マテハン設備161を有していてよい。インターフェース装置45は、一つ以上の保管設備101のマテハン設備161と、複数の搬送装置3と通信してよい。記憶装置42は、複数の保管設備101其々に配置された物品の在庫に関する情報を含んだ在庫テーブル54(在庫情報の一例)を記憶してよい。保管設備101は一つでもよく、WS163も一つでもよい。保管設備101毎に複数の待機位置が存在してもよいし、複数の保管設備101のうちの一部又は全ての保管設備101に、複数の待機位置の一部又は全ての待機位置が共通でもよい。
 統合WCSプログラム51及び複数のWCSプログラム50は複数の物理的又は仮想的な計算機に分散されていてもよいし、統合WCSプログラム51が、各WCSプログラム50を含んでもよい。
 図22は、搬送装置3の待機制御の流れを示すフローチャートである。
 図22に示す待機制御は、プロセッサ40が一部又は全ての搬送装置3に対して移動指示を計画する処理の一部でよく、所定のタイミング毎に実行されてよい。「所定のタイミング」とは、例えば、一定時間毎でもよいし、作業ステーション又は待機位置の空き状況が変化したタイミングでもよいし、待機する搬送装置3が発生したタイミングでもよいし、これらのタイミングの一部又は全てを組み合わせたタイミングでもよい。
 S2301で、プロセッサ40(統合WCSプログラム51及び/又はWCSプログラム50)は、待機する搬送装置3が存在するか確認する。
 S2301の判定結果が偽の場合(S2301:NO)、プロセッサ40は、待機位置の適正度に基づく制御は行わない。ただし、S2301の判定を行う前から既に待機制御が行われていた場合は、プロセッサ40は、その待機制御を継続する。
 S2301の判定結果が真の場合(S2301:YES)、S2302で、プロセッサ40は、一部又は全ての搬送装置3毎(典型的には、待機する搬送装置3毎)に、一部又は全ての待機位置の適正度を計算する。適正度の具体的な計算方法については後述するが、プロセッサ40は、各搬送装置3について、各待機位置と目的位置との間の移動コストと目的位置への到着の期限(例えば、開始予定日時1407又は到着予定日時1108が表す日時)までの残り時間との少なくとも一つに基づいて、各待機位置の適正度を計算する。到着期限までの残り時間は時間経過によって変化するため、適正度も時間経過によって変化する。
 S2303で、プロセッサ40は、適正度が高い待機位置を選択するように、搬送装置3を制御する。このとき、プロセッサ40は、複数の搬送装置3の動作を直接制御してもよいし(例えば、プロセッサ40が、適正度が最も高い待機位置を選択し、選択した待機位置の位置情報を関連付けた移動指示を搬送装置3に送信してもよいし)、複数の搬送装置3の運行計画(例えば経路テーブル23)を更新してもよい。
 以上のように、作業ステーションは、物品(典型的には在庫物品)を保管する保管設備101からの物品の出庫先である。作業ステーションの近辺(例えば隣)に、搬送装置3が接車するための停車エリア164(接車位置の一例)がある。搬送装置3は、一つ又は複数の物品が入れられる出荷箱を積載し、一つ又は複数の作業ステーションの各々を目的位置とし、目的位置としての作業ステーションの停車エリア164へ移動する。停車エリア164に停車した搬送装置3に対し物品が移載される。目的位置は、厳密には、作業ステーションの停車エリア164でよい。待機位置は、搬送装置3の移動先の作業ステーションの停車エリア164が満車の場合の待機のために利用される位置でもよいし、それ以外の場合の待機のために利用される位置でもよい。
 記憶装置42は、複数の搬送装置3の各々について、当該搬送装置3の目的位置としての作業ステーションを表す情報(保管エリア1106)と、当該搬送装置の当該目的位置への到着の期限を表す情報(到着予定日時1108又は開始予定日時1407)とを記憶する。プロセッサ40は、所定のタイミング毎に、複数の搬送装置3のうちの一つ以上の搬送装置3の各々をいずれかの待機位置で待機させる場合、記憶装置42に記憶されている情報(例えば、搬送装置3毎の保管エリア1106と、搬送装置3毎の到着予定日時1108又は作業ステーション毎の開始予定日時1407)を基に、当該一つ以上の搬送装置3の各々について、待機位置毎に、当該待機位置から当該搬送装置の目的位置までの移動コストと、当該所定のタイミングから当該目的位置の到着期限までの残り時間とに基づいて、当該待機位置の適正度を決定する。プロセッサ40は、当該一つ以上の搬送装置3の各々について、複数の待機位置の適正度を基に、当該搬送装置3の移動先の待機位置を決定し、当該決定した待機位置に当該搬送装置3を移動させる移動指示を当該搬送装置3にインターフェース装置45を通じて送信する。これにより、搬送装置3が適切な位置で待機することができ、以って、全体としての搬送能力(或いは作業スループット)の向上が期待される。具体的には、例えば、各搬送装置3が、作業に間に合う範囲内の待機位置のうち、他の搬送装置を妨害しない待機位置で待機することができ、以って、搬送能力に直接的に影響する目的位置から離れた待機位置からの移動や、作業に向かう搬送装置の衝突回避動作による目的位置への遅れを低減することで、搬送能力の低下を抑制できる。なお、「所定のタイミング毎」は、例えば、一定時間毎でもよいし、作業ステーションでの前の作業が完了したタイミング毎でもよい。「移動コスト」は、移動所要時間又は移動距離でよい。
 以下、一つの搬送装置3(便宜上、「第一の搬送装置3」)を例に取る。
 第一の搬送装置3にとって適正度が高い待機位置(この段落において「第一の待機位置」)に第二の搬送装置3が既に待機している場合は、プロセッサ40は、第一の搬送装置3と第二の搬送装置3とを入れ替えてもよいし(例えば、第二の搬送装置3を第一の待機位置から移動させ第一の搬送装置3を第一の待機位置に待機させてもよいし)、次に適正度が高い待機位置に第一の搬送装置3を移動させてもよい。或いは、プロセッサ40は、既に第一の待機位置で待機している第二の搬送装置3について各待機位置の適正度を計算し、第二の搬送装置3にとって第一の待機位置より適正度が高い第二の待機位置があれば、第二の搬送装置3を第二の待機位置に移動させ、第一の搬送装置3を第一の待機位置に移動させてもよい。
 また、例えば、詳しくは後述するが、第一の搬送装置3の目的位置への到着の期限までの残り時間に応じて、第一の搬送装置3が目的位置に徐々に近づくように、プロセッサ40は、第一の搬送装置3の待機位置を変更してもよい。例えば、或る時点で最も適正度が高い待機位置Aに第一の搬送装置3が待機していて、時間が経過し、結果として、第一の搬送装置3にとっての各待機位置の適正度が変わった場合、時間経過後の時点で最も適正度が高い待機位置B(結果として待機位置Aより目的位置に近い待機位置)に第一の搬送装置3が移動し待機してもよい。
 以上のように、所定のタイミング毎に一部又は全ての搬送装置3の待機位置の適正度が更新され、第一の搬送装置3は、更新後の適正度に従い、待機位置間での移動と移動先での待機位置での待機とを繰り返す。各搬送装置3の具体的な動作は、採用する適正度の計算方法によって異なるが、典型的な例としては、目的とする作業ステーションに徐々に近づいていく動作となる。
 図23A~図26Bは、本実施形態における待機位置の適正度の計算方法を説明するための模式図である。
 図23A、図24A、図25A及び図26Aに示すように、複数の作業ステーション2401と複数の待機位置2402が存在する。作業ステーション2401を区別する場合、「作業ステーションA」、「作業ステーションB」又は「作業ステーションC」と言うことがある。
 第一の搬送装置3には、オーダが割り当たっており且つ出荷箱を積載済みであり、当該出荷箱に対するピッキング作業はまだ実施しておらず、第一の搬送装置3が、ピッキング作業に向けて作業ステーションAでの作業を待機位置で待機することになるとする。待機位置の適正度計算方法には、例えば以下の3つの観点がある。
 図23Aは、第一の観点に従う適正度計算方法の模式図である。
 待機位置2402毎に、第一の搬送装置3が作業ステーションA(目的位置)までの移動にかかる移動所要時間tがある。待機位置2402毎に、移動所要時間tは、当該待機位置2402から作業ステーションAまでの移動速度と、当該待機位置2402から作業ステーションAまでの移動距離とに依存する。移動速度がどの待機位置2402についても同じであると仮定すると、移動所要時間tは、作業ステーションAから遠い待機位置2402ほど長い。
 待機位置2402毎に、移動所要時間tが、第一の搬送装置3の作業ステーションAへの到着の期限までの残り時間tlimitより短い場合、プロセッサ40は、当該待機位置の適正度を高く計算する。図23A、図24A、図25A及び図26Aでは、待機位置の塗りつぶしの濃淡が適正度の高さを示す。適正度が高いほど濃く、適正度が低いほど薄い。
 図23Bは、第一の観点に従う適正度関係の一例を示す図である。
 「適正度関係」とは、待機位置から目的位置への移動の所要時間と、目的位置への移動の待機位置の適正度との関係である。図23Bが示す例によれば、適正度関係は、移動所要時間tと、作業ステーションAについての適正度Vとの関係である。図23A及び図23Bによれば、プロセッサ40は、t≦tlimitの場合にVを高くし、t>tlimitの場合にVを最低としている。図23A及び図23Bによれば、第一の観点では、t≦tlimitであれば(つまり第一の搬送装置3が到着期限に間に合いさえすれば)、Vが高く、t>tlimitであれば(つまり第一の搬送装置3が到着期限に間に合わないのであれば)、Vが低い。
 図24A及び図24Bに示すように、tlimitは時間経過によって減少していくため、それに応じて適正度が高い範囲が狭まる。このため、第一の搬送装置3は、徐々に目的位置である作業ステーションAに近づくように待機位置を変更していくことが望ましい。
 また、待機位置に到着した直後に作業ステーションAに向かわないと作業に間に合わないような待機位置が選択されてしまうことを防ぐため、プロセッサ40は、待機位置毎に、残り時間tlimitと当該待機位置での待機時間twaitとを基に、当該待機位置の適正度を計算してもよい。さらに、適正度計算時の第一の搬送装置3の位置から待機位置までの移動中にも残り時間tlimitは変化するため、プロセッサ40は、tlimitと、移動先の待機位置での待機時間twaitと、当該移動先の待機位置までの移動所用時間tmoveとを基に、当該待機位置の適正度を計算してもよい。したがって、プロセッサ40は、以下の(1)式を満たす待機位置の適正度を高くしてもよい。

 図25Aは、第二の観点に従う適正度計算方法を説明するための模式図である。
 プロセッサ40は、t≦tlimitが満たされる複数の待機位置の中で、tが相対的に大きい待機位置のVを、tが相対的に小さい待機位置のVより高くなるよう計算する。つまり、プロセッサ40は、到着期限に間に合う待機位置のうち、作業ステーションAから遠い待機位置ほどVを高くする。これにより、第一の搬送装置3は作業ステーションAの必要以上に近くで待機することがない。このため、作業ステーションAを目的位置とする搬送装置3として第一の搬送装置3の他に第二の搬送装置3が存在し、第二の搬送装置3のtlimitが第一の搬送装置3のtlimitより短い場合には、第二の搬送装置3が作業ステーションAにより近い待機位置で待機することができる。
 以上のように、プロセッサ40は、所定のタイミング毎に、第一の搬送装置3をいずれかの待機位置で待機させる場合、t(移動コストの一例)がtlimit以下である待機位置の適正度を、tがtlimitより長い待機位置の適正度より高くしてよい。これにより、到着期限に間に合うという適切な待機位置を選択することができる。具体的には、プロセッサ40は、第一の搬送装置3について、t≦tlimitが満たされる待機位置の中から移動先の待機位置を決定してよい。
 また、プロセッサ40は、所定のタイミング毎に、第一の搬送装置3について、待機位置毎に、当該所定のタイミングから当該待機位置への移動所用時間tmove(移動コストの一例)と、当該待機位置での待機時間twaitとのうちの少なくとも一つを更に基にして、当該待機位置の適正度を決定してよい。これにより、各待機位置の適正度の精度が向上し、以って、第一の搬送装置3の適切な待機位置での待機に貢献できる。
 図25Bは、第二の観点に従う適正度関係の一例を示す図である。
 図25Bに示すように、tがtlimitよりも短くても、tが大きいほどVが高い。
 図26Aは、第三の観点に従う適正度計算方法を説明するための模式図である。
 プロセッサ40は、待機位置2402毎に、複数の作業ステーションA~Cの各々の順位を、当該待機位置から当該作業ステーションまでの移動所要時間tが短いほど高くし、当該待機位置について、作業ステーションA(目的位置)の順位が高いほど、当該待機位置の適正度が高くなるよう、適正度を計算する。
 具体的には、待機位置2402毎に、当該待機位置から作業ステーションAまでの移動所要時間をtとし、当該待機位置から作業ステーションBまでの移動所要時間をtとし、当該待機位置から作業ステーションCまでの移動所要時間をtとする。図26Aに示す待機位置2402毎の色の濃淡は、目的位置が作業ステーションAである場合の適正度Vを示す。すなわち、プロセッサ40は、待機位置2402毎に、t、t及びtを互いに比較し、t~tのうちtが最小である待機位置のVを高くする。これにより、第一の搬送装置3の目的位置でない作業ステーションB又はC付近の待機位置で第一の搬送装置3が待機する可能性が低減し、以って、作業ステーションB又はCを目的位置としている他の搬送装置3の待機を妨げないようにすることができる。
 以上のように、プロセッサ40は、第一の搬送装置3について、tが相対的に長い待機位置のVを、tが相対的に小さい待機位置のVより高くしてよい。これにより、第一の搬送装置3が他の搬送装置3の待機を妨げないようにすることができる。
 なお、プロセッサ40は、第一の搬送装置3について、t≦tlimitが満たされる待機位置の各々についてのみ適性度を決定してよく、その際、tが相対的に長い待機位置のVを、tが相対的に短い待機位置のVより高くしてよい。これにより、到着期限に間に合う待機位置の中から適切な待機位置を選択することができる。
 図26Bは、第三の観点に従う適正度関係の一例を示す図である。
 図26Bは、tがt~tの中で最小の場合のVを実線で示し、tがt~tの中で最小でない場合のVを破線で示している。図26Bによれば、第二の観点に従う適正度関係と同様に、目的位置までの移動所要時間が短いほど適正度が高くなる。
 なお、第三の観点の例によれば、目的位置までの移動所要時間が最小であるか否かで適正度が変わる。例えば、図26Aが示す待機位置Xによれば、tとtが同じ、つまり、tが最小でないため、待機位置XのVは、tが最小である待機位置YのVよりも低い。しかし、プロセッサ40は、tが最小か否かに応じてVを計算することに代えて、移動所要時間(例えば、tとt又はtとの差)などを用いてVを計算してもよい。
 以上のように、プロセッサ40は、第一の搬送装置3について、待機位置毎に、作業ステーションA~C(第一の搬送装置3の目的位置を含んだ複数の目的位置の一例)の各々について、当該待機位置からのtが短いほど高い順位を決定し、作業ステーションA(第一の搬送装置3の目的位置)の順位が高いほど、当該待機位置のVを高くしてよい。これにより、他の搬送装置3の目的位置により当該他の搬送装置3にとって適正度が高くなり得る待機位置を空けられる可能性が高まり、以って、第一の搬送装置3を含む二つ以上の搬送装置3の各々について、当該搬送装置3にとって最適な待機位置に当該搬送装置3を待機させられる可能性が高まる。
 なお、プロセッサ40は、第一の搬送装置3について、t≦tlimitが満たされる待機位置の各々についてのみ適性度を決定してよく、待機位置毎に、作業ステーションA~C(第一の搬送装置3の目的位置を含んだ複数の目的位置の一例)の各々について、当該待機位置からのtが短いほど高い順位を決定し、作業ステーションAの順位が高いほど、当該待機位置のVを高くしてよい。これにより、到着期限に間に合う待機位置の中から適切な待機位置を選択することができる。
 以上では、適正度の計算方法として移動所要時間に基づく方法を3つ例示した。実際の適正度計算においては、プロセッサ40は、これらの例を組み合わせてよい。例えば、プロセッサ40は、第一の観点に従う方法のみを用いてもよいし、重み付き和などを用いて第一~第三の観点に従う方法によって得られた適正度を合算して用いてもよい。即ち、プロセッサ40は、第一の搬送装置3について、待機位置毎に、下記の(a)乃至(c)のうちの少なくとも一つに基づき、当該待機位置の適正度を決定してよい。
(a)t≦tlimitであるか否か(第一の観点)、
(b)tが相対的に長いか短いか(第二の観点)、及び、
(c)当該待機位置についての作業ステーションA~Cの順位のうち作業ステーションAの順位の高さ(第三の観点)。
 さらに、プロセッサ40は、それらのうちのいずれかの方法と、その他の適正度計算方法とを組み合わせてよい。その他の適正度計算方法は様々考えられる。
 第一の変形例によれば、搬送装置3の総台数が第一の閾値Nrоbоt1以上である場合、プロセッサ40は、第一~第三の観点に従う適正度計算方法のうちの一つ以上(例えば全て)の適正度計算方法を用いてもよい。搬送装置3の総台数が第一の閾値Nrоbоt1未満である場合、プロセッサ40は、第一及び/又は第三の観点に従う適正度計算方法を用いてもよい。これにより、搬送装置3が十分少なく目立った混雑が発生しないと想定される場合には、第二の観点に従う計算方法を省略することにより、無用に目的の作業ステーションから離れた待機位置を選ぶことなく近くの待機位置を選ぶことができ、以って、搬送装置3の移動コストを低減できる。
 第二の変形例によれば、第一の搬送装置3と目的位置が同じである(つまり作業ステーションAを目的位置とする)搬送装置3の台数が第二の閾値Nrоbоt2未満である場合、プロセッサ40は、第二の観点に従う計算方法以外の一つ以上の方法で待機位置毎の適正度を計算してもよい。第三の変形例によれば、作業ステーションAの一定範囲内に位置している搬送装置3の台数が第三の閾値Nrоbоt3未満である場合、プロセッサ40は、第二の観点に従う計算方法以外の一つ以上の方法で待機位置毎の適正度を計算してもよい。第二及び第三の変形例のいずれによっても、直前段落で述べた方法と同様の効果が期待できる。
 また、第二の観点に従う方法によれば、tlimitが短い搬送装置3がより作業ステーションA(目的位置)の近くで待機できるが、同様の目的を達成するための別の方法として、例えば次のような方法が例示できる。即ち、各待機位置の適正度を、搬送装置3が当該待機位置に移動する際の移動距離が小さいほど高く計算する方法がある。ただし、到着期限までに目的となる作業ステーションAに移動可能となるための条件式(1)を満たさない場合は、プロセッサ40は、適正度を最低の値に置き換える。さらに、待機位置の選択において、一部又は全ての搬送装置3それぞれに対応して選択される待機位置の適正度を合算した際に、その合算値が最大の値をとるように搬送装置3と待機位置との組合せを最適化することで、プロセッサ40は、待機位置の選択を行ってもよい。この方法によれば、各搬送装置3は目的とする作業ステーションに間に合う範囲で極力近くの待機位置を選ぶことができるので、搬送装置3の移動距離を低減できる。なお、このような組み合わせ最適化での組合せ爆発を防止するために作業ステーション付近の搬送装置3と待機位置のみに対象を限定する方法を採用してもよいし、遺伝的アルゴリズムなどの準最適な解法を採用してよい。
 以上説明したように、本実施の形態におけるプロセッサ40は、これらの計算方法の少なくとも一つに基づいて、待機位置の適正度を計算することで、各搬送装置3の目的位置へ円滑に移動可能な待機位置を選択することができる。
 以上、実施形態を説明したが、これは本発明の説明のための例示であって、本発明の範囲をこの実施形態にのみ限定する趣旨ではない。本発明は、他の種々の形態でも実施することが可能である。
 また、例えば、区画の形状は、方形に限られず、他の形状でもよい。また、異なる大きさ又は形状の区画が混在してもよい。また、区画の位置は、当該区画上のマーカから特定されることに代えて、他種の方法により特定されてもよい。
 また、例えば、統合WCSプログラム51及びWCSプログラム50は、制御装置4に代えて又は加えて搬送装置3で実行されてもよい。また、搬送装置3が制御装置4を兼ねてもよい。
 また、例えば、搬送装置3の目的位置は、作業ステーション以外の位置(例えば、充電エリア104)であってもよく、作業ステーション以外の位置が目的位置である場合にも、待機位置が利用されてもよい。

Claims (11)

  1.  移動エリア内での複数の搬送装置の走行を制御する制御システムであって、
     インターフェース装置と、
     記憶装置と、
     前記インターフェース装置及び前記記憶装置に接続されたプロセッサと
    を備え、
     前記移動エリアは、複数の待機位置を有し、
     前記インターフェース装置は、前記複数の搬送装置と通信し、
     前記記憶装置は、前記複数の搬送装置の各々について、当該搬送装置の目的位置を表す情報と、当該搬送装置の当該目的位置への到着の期限を表す情報とを記憶し、
     前記プロセッサは、所定のタイミング毎に、前記複数の搬送装置のうちの一つ以上の搬送装置の各々をいずれかの待機位置で待機させる場合、
      前記記憶装置に記憶されている情報を基に、前記一つ以上の搬送装置の各々について、
        待機位置毎に、当該待機位置から当該搬送装置の目的位置までの移動コストと、当該所定のタイミングから当該目的位置の到着期限までの残り時間とに基づいて、当該待機位置の適正度を決定し、
      前記複数の待機位置の適正度に基づいて当該搬送装置の待機位置を決定し、
      当該決定した待機位置に当該搬送装置を移動させる移動指示を当該搬送装置に前記インターフェース装置を通じて送信する、
     ことを特徴とする制御システム。
  2.  前記プロセッサは、前記一つ以上の搬送装置のうちの第一の搬送装置について、前記移動コストとしての移動所要時間が前記残り時間以下である待機位置の適正度を、前記移動所要時間が前記残り時間より長い待機位置の適正度より高くする、
     ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の制御システム。
  3.  前記プロセッサは、前記第一の搬送装置について、前記移動所要時間が前記残り時間以下である待機位置の中から移動先の待機位置を決定する、
     ことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の制御システム。
  4.  前記プロセッサは、前記一つ以上の搬送装置のうちの第一の搬送装置について、前記移動コストが相対的に大きい待機位置の適正度を、前記移動コストが相対的に小さい待機位置の適正度より高くする、
     ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の制御システム。
  5.  前記プロセッサは、前記一つ以上の搬送装置のうちの第一の搬送装置について、前記移動コストとしての移動所要時間が前記残り時間以下である待機位置のうち、前記移動所要時間が相対的に長い待機位置の適正度を、前記移動所要時間が相対的に短い待機位置の適正度より高くする、
     ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の制御システム。
  6.  前記プロセッサは、前記一つ以上の搬送装置のうちの第一の搬送装置について、
      前記待機位置毎に、前記第一の搬送装置の目的位置を含んだ複数の目的位置の各々について、当該待機位置からの移動コストが小さいほど高い順位を決定し、
      前記待機位置毎に、当該第一の搬送装置の目的位置の順位が高いほど、当該待機位置の適正度を高くする、
     ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の制御システム。
  7.  前記プロセッサは、前記一つ以上の搬送装置のうちの第一の搬送装置について、前記移動コストとしての移動所要時間が前記残り時間以下である待機位置のうち、
      前記待機位置毎に、前記第一の搬送装置の目的位置を含んだ複数の目的位置の各々について、当該待機位置からの前記移動所要時間が短いほど高い順位を決定し、
      前記待機位置毎に、当該第一の搬送装置の目的位置の順位が高いほど、当該待機位置の適正度を高くする、
     ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の制御システム。
  8.  前記プロセッサは、前記所定のタイミング毎に、前記一つ以上の搬送装置のうちの第一の搬送装置について、前記待機位置毎に、当該所定のタイミングから当該待機位置への移動コストと、当該待機位置での待機時間の長さとのうちの少なくとも一つを更に基にして、当該待機位置の適正度を決定する、
     ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の制御システム。
  9.  前記プロセッサは、前記一つ以上の搬送装置のうちの第一の搬送装置について、前記待機位置毎に、下記の(a)乃至(c)のうちの少なくとも一つに基づき、当該待機位置の適正度を決定する、
    (a)当該待機位置から前記第一の搬送装置の目的位置までの前記移動コストとしての移動所要時間が前記残り時間以下であるか否か、
    (b)前記移動所要時間が相対的に長いか短いか、
    (c)前記第一の搬送装置の目的位置を含んだ複数の目的位置の各々について、当該待機位置からの前記移動所要時間が短いほど高い順位を決定し、当該第一の搬送装置の目的位置の順位の高さ、
     ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の制御システム。
  10.  前記プロセッサは、前記第一の搬送装置について、前記待機位置毎に、搬送装置の総台数が第一の閾値未満である場合、前記第一の搬送装置と目的位置が同じ搬送装置の台数が第二の閾値未満である場合、又は、前記第一の搬送装置と目的位置から一定範囲内に存在する搬送装置の台数が第三の閾値未満である場合、(b)以外に基づいて適正度を決定する、
     ことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の制御システム。
  11.  複数の待機位置を有する移動エリア内での複数の搬送装置の走行を制御する制御方法であって、
     所定のタイミング毎に、前記複数の搬送装置のうちの一つ以上の搬送装置の各々をいずれかの待機位置で待機させる場合、
      前記一つ以上の搬送装置の各々について、
        待機位置毎に、当該待機位置から当該搬送装置の目的位置までの移動コストと、当該所定のタイミングから当該目的位置の到着期限までの残り時間とに基づいて、当該待機位置の適正度を決定し、
      前記複数の待機位置の適正度に基づいて当該搬送装置の待機位置を決定し、
      当該決定した待機位置に当該搬送装置を移動させる移動指示を当該搬送装置に送信する、
     ことをコンピュータにより行う制御方法。
