Description

内容物充填システムおよび内容物充填方法
 本開示は、内容物充填システムおよび内容物充填方法に関する。
 近時、飲食品等の内容液を収容する容器として、プラスチック製のものが一般化してきており、このようなプラスチック容器には内容液が充填される。
 このような内容液を充填するプラスチック容器は、金型内にプリフォームを挿入し、ブロー成形することにより製造される。そしてブロー成形により得られた容器に対して内容液が無菌状態で充填される。
 従来よりプリフォームおよびブロー成形された容器に対して殺菌剤を吹き付けて殺菌を施す技術が開発されている。
 充填後の容器の外周には内容液の内容を表示するラベルが貼り付けられる。しかしながら、一般に容器に対して、内容液を無菌状態で充填した後に容器の外周にラベルが貼り付けられるため、無菌内容物充填システムの全体構造が大型化してしまう。

 本開示はこのような点を考慮してなされたものであり、内容物充填システムの全体をコンパクトに構成することができる、内容物充填システムおよび内容物充填方法を提供する。
 本開示は、内容物充填システムにおいて、容器の少なくとも外面又はラベルの少なくとも内面を殺菌する第1殺菌部と、前記第1殺菌部で殺菌された前記容器の外面に前記ラベルを貼り付けるラベル貼り付け部と、前記ラベル貼り付け部で前記ラベルが貼り付けられた前記容器を殺菌する第2殺菌部と、前記第2殺菌部で殺菌された容器内に内容物を充填する内容物充填部と、前記容器を密封する密封部とを備えた内容物充填システムである。
 本開示は、前記第2殺菌部と前記内容物充填部との間に、前記容器に対してホットエアを吹き付けるエアリンス部を設けた、内容物充填システムである。
 本開示は、前記第2殺菌部は前記容器の内面および外面に対して殺菌剤を吹き付ける、内容物充填システムである。
 本開示は、前記第1殺菌部と、前記ラベル貼り付け部と、前記第2殺菌部は、いずれも各々区画された第1殺菌部チャンバー、ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーおよび第2殺菌部チャンバーにより囲まれ、前記ラベル貼り付け部の前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーは前記第1殺菌部の前記第1殺菌部チャンバーおよび、または前記第2殺菌部の前記第2殺菌部チャンバーに対して陽圧となっている、内容物充填システムである。

 本開示は、前記ラベル搬送ドラムに保持されたラベルに対して接着剤または糊を塗布する接着剤塗布装置を設けた、内容物充填システムである。
 本開示は、前記ラベル供給部は前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバー外方に配置され、前記帯状ラベルは前記ラベル供給部から前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーの開口を介して前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバー内に供給される、内容物充填システムである。
 本開示は、内容物充填方法において、容器の少なくとも外面に、第1殺菌部において前記容器を殺菌する第1殺菌工程と、前記第1殺菌部で殺菌された前記容器の外面に、ラベル貼り付け部においてラベルを貼り付けるラベル貼り付け工程と、前記ラベル貼り付け部で前記ラベルが貼り付けられた前記容器に対して、第2殺菌部において前記容器を殺菌する第2殺菌工程と、前記第2殺菌部で殺菌された容器内に、内容物充填部により内容物を充填する内容物充填工程と、前記容器を密封部により密封する工程とを備えた内容物充填方法である。
 本開示は、前記第2殺菌部と前記内容物充填部との間に設けられたエアリンス部により、前記容器に対してホットエアを吹き付ける、内容物充填方法である。
 本開示は、前記第2殺菌部により、前記容器の内面および外面に対して殺菌剤を吹き付ける、内容物充填方法である。
 本開示は、前記第1殺菌部と、前記ラベル貼り付け部と、前記第2殺菌部は、いずれも各々区画された第1殺菌部チャンバー、ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーおよび第2殺菌部チャンバーにより囲まれ、前記ラベル貼り付け部の前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーは前記第1殺菌部の前記第1殺菌部チャンバーおよび、または前記第2殺菌部の前記第2殺菌部チャンバーに対して陽圧となっている、内容物充填方法である。
 本開示は、前記ラベル貼り付け工程は、ラベル供給部から帯状ラベルを供給する工程と、前記ラベル供給部からの帯状ラベルをロータリーカッターにより切断して前記ラベルを作製する工程と、前記ロータリーカッターで作製されたラベルをラベル搬送ドラムで搬送しながら保持する工程と、前記容器をスターホイールにより搬送して前記ラベル搬送ドラムで保持されたラベルを前記容器に貼り付ける工程とを有し、前記スターホイールと、前記ラベル搬送ドラムと、前記ロータリーカッターは前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバー内に収納される、内容物充填方法である。
 本開示は、前記ラベル搬送ドラムに保持されたラベルに対して接着剤塗布装置により接着剤を塗布する、内容物充填方法である。
 本開示は、前記ラベル供給部は前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバー外方に配置され、前記帯状ラベルは前記ラベル供給部から前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーの開口を介して前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバー内に供給される、内容物充填方法である。
 本発明によれば、容器を殺菌することができ、かつ容器外周にラベルを貼り付けることができる内容物充填システムをコンパクトに構成することができる。

<発明の実施の形態>
 以下、図面を参照して本発明の実施の形態について説明する。図1乃至図11は本発明の実施の形態を示す図である。
 まず、図1および図2により、本実施の形態による無菌内容物充填システムで使用される容器の概要について説明する。なお、本明細書中、「上」および「下」とは、それぞれ容器10を正立させた状態(図1)における上方および下方のことをいう。
 図1および図2に示す容器(プラスチックボトル)10は、後述するように、ブロー成形金型104を用いてプリフォーム10aに対して2軸延伸ブロー成形を施すことにより、プリフォーム10aを膨張させて得られたものである。また容器10内に内容液(内容物ともいう)Lが充填されて、内容液入り容器10Aが得られる。
 このような容器10は、プラスチック材料からなる。
 容器10は、口部11と、口部11下方に設けられた首部13と、首部13下方に設けられた肩部12と、肩部12下方に設けられた胴部20と、胴部20下方に設けられた底部30とを備えている。
 そして容器10の胴部20には、製品名、絵柄、あるいは内容液の原材料、効用等の特性を表示するラベル40が貼り付けられている。図4に示すように、ラベル40はラベル本体40aと、容器10側に位置する絵柄、文字を含む印刷層40bとを有する。このうちラベル本体40aは例えばプラスチック層あるいは紙層を含む多層構造あるいは単層構造をもつ。また印刷層40bに接着剤40cが塗布される。
 次に容器10について詳述する。容器10は、上述したように口部11と、首部13と、肩部12と、胴部20と、底部30とを有している。
 このうち口部11は、キャップ103(図9(M)参照)に螺着されるねじ部14と、ねじ部14下方に設けられたサポート部17とを有している。なお、口部11の形状は、従来公知の形状であっても良い。
 首部13は、サポート部17と肩部12との間に位置しており、略均一な径をもつ略円筒形状を有している。また、肩部12は、首部13と胴部20との間に位置しており、首部13側から胴部20側に向けて徐々に径が拡大する形状を有している。
 さらに、胴部20は、全体として略均一な径をもつ円筒形状を有している。しかしながら、これに限られるものではなく、胴部20が四角形筒形状や八角形筒形状等の多角形筒形状を有していても良い。あるいは、胴部20が上方から下方に向けて均一でない水平断面をもつ筒形状を有していても良い。また、本実施の形態において、胴部20は、凹凸が形成されておらず、略平坦な表面を有しているが、これに限られるものではない。例えば、胴部20にパネル又は溝等の凹凸が形成されていても良い。
 一方、底部30は、中央に位置する凹部31と、この凹部31周囲に設けられた接地部32とを有している。なお、底部30の形状についても特に限定されるものではなく、従来公知の底部形状(例えばペタロイド底形状や丸底形状等)を有していても良い。底部30の中心には、プリフォーム(パリソンを含む)10aを射出成型で制作する際に樹脂を金型内に充填する経路となるゲート部35が形成されている。ゲート部35は0.5~5.0mm程度の厚肉となっている。
 また胴部20における容器10の厚みは、これに限定されるものではないが、例えば50μm~250μm程度に薄くすることができる。さらに、容器10の重量についても、これに限定されるものではないが、500mlボトルの場合、10g~30gとすることができる。このように容器10の肉厚を薄くすることにより、容器10の軽量化を図る。
 このような容器10は、合成樹脂材料を射出成形して製作したプリフォーム10a(後述)を二軸延伸ブロー成形することにより作製できる。なおプリフォーム10a、すなわち容器10の材料としては熱可塑性樹脂、特にPE(ポリエチレン)、PP(ポリプロピレン)、PET(ポリエチレンテレフタレート)、PEN(ポリエチレンナフタレート)、PC(ポリカーボネート)を使用することが好ましい。また、上述した各種樹脂をブレンドして用いても良い。さらに、容器10の内面に、容器のバリア性を高めるために、例えばダイヤモンド状炭素膜や酸化珪素薄膜等の蒸着膜を形成しても良い。
 また、容器10は、2層以上の多層成形ボトルとして形成することもできる。すなわち押し出し成形または射出成形により、例えば、中間層をナイロンMXD6(以下、MXD6とも称する)、MXD6+脂肪酸塩、PGA(ポリグリコール酸)、EVOH(エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体)又はPEN(ポリエチレンナフタレート)等のガスバリア性及び遮光性を有する樹脂(中間層)として3層以上からなるプリフォーム10aを押出成形後、ブロー成形することによりガスバリア性及び遮光性を有する多層ボトルとして形成しても良い。なお、中間層としては、上述した各種樹脂をブレンドした樹脂を用いても良い。
 また、熱可塑性樹脂の溶融物に不活性ガス(窒素ガス、アルゴンガス)を混ぜることで、0.5~100μmの発泡セル径を持つ発泡プリフォームを成形し、この発泡プリフォームをブロー成形することによって、容器10を作製しても良い。このような容器10は、発泡セルを内蔵しているため、容器10全体の遮光性を高める。
 このような容器10は、例えば満注容量が150ml~1500mlのボトルからなっていても良い。
 なおラベル40は上述のように容器10の胴部20に貼り付けられるものであり、容器10内に充填される内容液の特性等を示すフィルム製のラベル本体40aと、ラベル本体40aの一面に設けられた印刷層40bとを有し、印刷層40b上にホットメルト等の接着剤40cが塗布される。そしてラベル40は、接着剤40cを介して容器10の胴部20に貼り付けられる。なお、ラベル40に対しては後述する接着剤塗布装置212Aから接着剤40cが塗布される。しかしながら、ラベル40として、容器10の胴部20外周に配置された感熱ラベル、シュリンクラベル、ストレッチラベル、ストレッチシュリンクラベル、またはタッグラベル等を用いてもよい。ラベル40の厚みは5μmから150μmであり、好ましくは10μmから80μmとなっている。上記ラベル40を形成する樹脂は、ポリオレフィン系樹脂(ポリエチレン系樹脂、ポリプロピレン系樹脂など)、ポリエステル系樹脂、ポリスチレン系樹脂、ポリ塩化ビニル樹脂、ポリアミド系樹脂などである。上記樹脂は1種のみを用いてもよく、2種以上でもよく、上記樹脂以外と他の材質との複合ラベルでもよい。
 またラベル40は容器10の胴部20のうち下方部から中央まで延び、肩部12の下端まで達することなく終了する(図1参照)。
 次に図3により、本実施の形態において用いられるプリフォームの構成について説明する。
 図3に示すように、プリフォーム10aは、プラスチック材料製のプリフォーム10aである。
 プリフォーム10aは、口部11aと、口部11aに連結された胴部20aと、胴部20aに連結された底部30aとを備えている。このうち口部11aは、上述した容器10の口部11に対応するものであり、口部11と略同一の形状を有している。また、胴部20aは、上述した容器10の首部13、肩部12および胴部20に対応するものであり、略円筒形状を有している。底部30aは、上述した容器10の底部30に対応するものであり、略半球形状を有している。
 次に本開示による無菌内容物充填システムおよび無菌内容物充填方法について図5A乃至図11により説明する。
 図5(A)~図9(M)に示すように、プリフォーム10aおよび容器10に対して殺菌処理が施され、容器10に内容液Lが充填されて内容液入り容器10Aが得られる。
 最初に、図5(A)に示すプリフォーム10aが所望の速度で連続的に搬送され、走行中のプリフォーム10aの内面および外面に、殺菌剤のガスG若しくはミスト又はこれらの混合物が吹き付けられて吸着される。
 殺菌剤としては、本実施の形態では過酸化水素が用いられるが、他の殺菌剤を用いることも可能である。
 この場合、図5(A)に示すように、プリフォーム10aに対して、殺菌剤供給ノズル106から殺菌剤である過酸化水素のガスGが吹き付けられる。
 この過酸化水素のガスGは殺菌剤供給ノズル106内で二手に分かれて流れ、その一方がノズル本管106aからプリフォーム10aの内部に向かって噴射し、他方がノズル分岐管106bからプリフォーム10aの外面に向かって噴射する。過酸化水素のガスGは、殺菌剤供給ノズル106から出た後、ガス状態のままで若しくはミストとなって又はそれらの混合物となってプリフォーム10aの内部に流入し、あるいはプリフォーム10aの外面に接触する。
 またプリフォーム10aの内部に向かって噴出するガスGの流れの回りは、傘状部材130で覆われる。プリフォーム10a内に流入したガスGやミストはプリフォーム10aの口部2aから流出する。この流出したガスGの流れは傘状部材130に衝突し、傘状部材130の内面に案内されて、プリフォーム10aの外面へと向かって流れを変え、プリフォーム10aの外面に接触する。
 この場合、殺菌剤である過酸化水素成分を含むガスG、ミスト又はこれらの混合物がプリフォーム10aの内外面に接触し付着することにより、プリフォーム10aの表面に付着した微生物が殺菌され、あるいは傷付けられる。殺菌剤としては、過酸化水素以外にオゾン水や、過酢酸成分や、塩素成分を含むものでも良い。菌を不活性化させるものであればよい。
 なお、図5(A)に示したプリフォーム10aへのガスGの吹き付けの直前に、プリフォーム10aに熱風を吹き付ける等してプリフォームを予備加熱してもよい。
 またプリフォーム10aの内面および外面に殺菌剤のガスGを吹き付けた例を示したが、プリフォーム10aの内面のみに殺菌剤のガスGを吹き付けてもよい。
 次にプリフォーム10aの内部に、ノズル本体180bを有するエアノズル180を用いて、ノズル本体180bの開口180aからホットエアPが供給される(図5(B))。
 ホットエアPの吹き付けにより、プリフォーム10aの内面に付着した過酸化水素がホットエアPの熱で活性化され、これによりプリフォーム10a内の微生物が殺菌される。また、ホットエアPの吹き付けによってプリフォーム10a内面に付着した過酸化水素はプリフォーム10aの表面から速やかに除去される。後述のように殺菌剤供給ノズル106およびエアノズル180は、いずれもチャンバー141a内に配置されている(図10A参照)。
 図5(C)に示すように、殺菌されたプリフォーム10aは、赤外線ヒータ118aその他の加熱手段によって、後のブロー成形に適した温度まで加熱される。この温度は90℃から130℃程度である。プリフォーム10aの口部11aは、変形等を防止するため、赤外線ヒータ118aからの熱が伝わらないよう、赤外線ヒータ118aに正対する範囲の上方を通過する。
 図5(C)に示すように、プリフォーム10aの加熱の際、プリフォーム10aはスピンドル143によって支持される。ここで図11によりプリフォーム10aがスピンドル143により支持される状態について詳述する。
 図11に示すように、スピンドル143の下部には複数個のボール状の弾性体143bが埋設される。また、スピンドル143の外部には、傘状部材143aが必要に応じて取り付けられる。ここで図11は加熱炉133のスピンドル143を示す図である。
 プリフォーム10aは、その口部11a内にスピンドル143の下部が挿入された際に、弾性体143bの弾性変形によってスピンドル143に支持される。そして、傘状部材143aが設けられた場合は、同時にプリフォーム10aの口部11aが傘状部材143aにより覆われる。
 図11に示すように、傘状部材143aが設けられた場合は、プリフォーム10aの口部11a内面とスピンドル143の下部との間からプリフォーム10aの口部11a外面と傘状部材143aとの間にかけて、隙間が形成される。赤外線ヒータ118aからの熱によって加熱されたプリフォーム10a内のエアはホットエアとなって上記隙間をプリフォーム10a内からプリフォーム10a外へと流れ、その間にプリフォーム10aの口部11aを加熱する。同時に、赤外線ヒータ118aからの熱によって、プリフォーム10aの胴部20aが加熱され、胴部20aからの熱が口部11aへ伝熱される。このように胴部20aからの熱が口部11aへ伝熱されることにより口部11aが加熱され、口部11aの内外面に付着した過酸化水素が活性化されて口部11aの内外面に存在する微生物が殺菌される。なお、本実施の形態において、プリフォーム10a内のホットエアが口部11aを加熱するのに比べて、胴部20aから口部11aに伝熱される熱によって口部11をより効果的に加熱する。このことによって、口部11aを効果的に昇温する。
 プリフォーム10aの口部11aは、後に容器10の状態でキャップ103により密封された時に容器10の気密性を保つため、プリフォーム10aの段階で加えられる熱で変形しないよう配慮されている。
 上記隙間を流れるホットエアは、口部11aを加熱するが、口部11aに変形を起こさない70℃程度以下の温度までしか加熱しない。このような口部11aの加熱により、プリフォーム10a内に残留した微量の過酸化水素が活性化され、口部11aが適度に殺菌される。
 なお、口部11aの殺菌性レベルを向上させるために、傘状部材143aによるホットエアの回り込みに加えて、紫外線ランプやパルスビーム等で口部11aを照射殺菌しても良い。この場合、紫外線ランプやパルスビームを殺菌剤供給ノズル106の前段あるいは赤外線ヒータ118aの後段に設けてもよく、殺菌剤供給ノズル106の前段および赤外線ヒータ118aの後段の双方に設けてもよい。
 上記加熱の際、プリフォーム10aは、その口部11aにスピンドル143が挿入されることによって正立状態で吊下げられた状態で、望ましくは、スピンドル143と共に軸回りで回転しつつ搬送される。これにより、プリフォーム10aは口部11aを除き赤外線ヒータ118aにより90℃から130℃程度に均一に加熱される。
 なお、プリフォーム10aを、倒立状態で搬送することも可能である。
 この間、プリフォーム10aが、赤外線ヒータ118aにより加熱されるが、プリフォーム10aの外面に残留する過酸化水素も活性化される。このため、この活性化された過酸化水素によって、プリフォーム10aの外面を適切に殺菌できる。
 加熱されたプリフォーム10aは、図6(D)に示すように、スピンドル143から解放され、グリッパ132に受け渡され、口部11a側から無菌エアQを吹き付けられつつ、図6(E)に示すブロー成形機112を構成するブロー成形型である金型104へと搬送される。この無菌エアQの吹き付けにより、プリフォーム10aは高い無菌性レベルを維持しつつ金型104に供給される。
 上記無菌エアQはホットエアであってもよい。ホットエアの吹き付けにより、プリフォーム10aの温度低下が防止される。
 また、図6(D)に示すように、プリフォーム10aの加熱が終わってプリフォーム10aが金型104へと向かう箇所には、プリフォーム10aの走行路を囲むように覆い186がトンネル状に設けられる。このトンネル状の覆い186は、プリフォーム10aの口部11aをその上方から覆う天井部分186Aを有し、この天井部分186Aは、傾斜面186Bを有する屋根状に形成される。また、天井部分186Aには、無菌エアQをプリフォーム10aの口部11aの方に向かって吹き出すノズル186aが、パイプの列状に又はスリット状に設けられる。後述のように金型104および覆い186は、いずれもチャンバー141b内に配置されている(図10A参照)。これにより、無菌エアQがプリフォーム10aへと効率的に供給され、プリフォーム10aはチャンバー141b内にあって無菌性を保持しつつ走行する。また、トンネル状の覆い186を設けることなく、ブロー成形機112を収納するチャンバー141bをクラス100,000以下、好ましくはクラス10,000以下とすることによって、菌のコンタミネーションを低減できる。
 無菌エアQの吹き付けにより無菌性を保ったまま搬送されるプリフォーム10aは、図6(E)に示すように、金型104内に収納される。
 金型104は、プリフォーム10aの走行速度と同じ速度で連続的に走行しつつ、型締め状態とされ、金型104内でプリフォーム10aに対するブロー成形が行われた後に型開き状態とされる。
 上述の如くプリフォーム10aは、図5(C)に示した加熱工程でその口部11aを除く全体が成形に適した温度域まで均一に加熱されている。このため図6(E)に示すように、この加熱されたプリフォーム10aが金型104内に装着された後、延伸ロッド105がプリフォーム10a内に挿入されると、プリフォーム10aはその長さ方向に金型104内で引き伸ばされる。
 続いて、例えば一次ブロー用無菌エアや二次ブロー用無菌エアが図示しないブローノズルからプリフォーム10a内に順次吹き込まれることによって、金型104のキャビティ104c内でプリフォーム10aが成形品の容器(プラスチックボトル)10まで膨張する。
 このように金型104内で容器10が成形されると、金型104が引き続き走行しながら型開きし、容器10の完成品が金型104から外方へ取り出される(容器成形工程)。
 容器10は、金型104から外方へ取り出された後、図7(G)に示す過酸化水素供給工程に至るまでの間、図6(F)に示すように、無菌エアQが口部11側から吹き付けられ、搬送される。この無菌エアQの吹き付けにより、容器10はできるだけ微生物に汚染されないようにして過酸化水素の殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aの直下へと送られる。
 図6(F)に示す無菌エアQは、ホットエアであるのが望ましい。ホットエアの吹き付けにより、容器10の温度低下が防止されるので、次の過酸化水素による殺菌効果が向上する。
 また、図6(F)に示すように、容器10が次の殺菌剤供給ノズル193A(図7(G)参照)へと移動する箇所には、容器10の走行路を囲むように覆い187がトンネル状に設けられる。このトンネル状の覆い187は、容器10の口部11をその上方から覆う天井部分187Aを有し、この天井部分187Aは、傾斜面187Bを有する屋根状に形成される。また、天井部分187Aには、無菌エアQを容器10の口部11方向、又は走行路の方に向かって吹き出すノズル187aが、パイプの列状に又はスリット状に設けられる。これにより、無菌エアQが容器10へと効率的に供給される。また、図10Aに示すように、覆い187に隣接して成形された容器10の外観を検査する検査装置135が設けられている。この検査装置135はチャンバー141b内に配置され、また覆い187はチャンバー141bからチャンバー141c1内へ延びている。このように、容器10は後述するチャンバー141b、141c1内にあって殺菌後の容器10への菌のコンタミネーションを最小限にして走行する(図10A参照)。また、トンネル状の覆い187を設けることなく、ブロー成形機112を収納するチャンバー141bをクラス100以上、クラス100,000以下、好ましくは10,000以下とすることで、菌のコンタミネーションを低減させてもよい。
 次に無菌エアQを吹き付けられた容器10は、図7(G1)に示すように、容器10に対して殺菌剤である過酸化水素が供給されることにより少なくとも容器10の外面が殺菌される。
 具体的には、過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物が殺菌剤供給ノズル193A(第1殺菌部)からグリッパ132に保持された搬送中の容器10の少なくともラベル40が貼付された部位を含む外面および内面に吹き付けられる(第1殺菌工程)。殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aは容器10の口部11に対峙するように配置される。過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物は殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aの先端から流下し、容器10の外面および内面に向かって接触する(図7(G1)参照)。過酸化水素のガスGは、殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aから出た後、ガス状のまま若しくはミストとなって又はそれらの混合物となって容器10の外面および内面に接触する。殺菌剤である過酸化水素成分を含むガスG、ミスト又はこれらの混合物が容器10の外面および内面に接触し、付着することにより、容器10の外面に付着した微生物が殺菌され、あるいは傷付けられる。殺菌剤としては、過酸化水素以外に過酢酸成分を含むものを用いてもよい。なお、図5(A)に示す殺菌剤供給ノズル106と同様、殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aを二つに分岐させ、容器10の外面だけでなく内面に殺菌剤を噴霧してもよい。
 また、この容器10の走行箇所にはトンネル144Aが形成され、殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aから吐出された過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物が容器10の外面に沿って流れ落ち、さらにトンネル144A内に滞留することから、容器10の外面にも効果的に付着する。
 過酸化水素のミストM又はガスGは、例えば殺菌剤ガス生成器によって生成可能である。
 殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aは容器10の搬送路上の定位置に設置してもよいし、容器10と同期的に移動させてもよい。
 図7(G1)に示すように、殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aから吹き出た過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物は容器10の内外面に接触する。その際、容器10はプリフォーム10aの段階で加えられた熱及び図6(F)の段階で容器10に加えられた熱が残留することによって所定温度に保持されていることから、効率良く殺菌される。
 この所定温度は、プリフォーム10aがPET製の場合、望ましくは40℃~80℃であり、より望ましくは、50℃~75℃である。40℃よりも低い場合は殺菌性が低下する。80℃よりも高い場合は成型後に容器10が収縮するという不具合が生じる。
 なお、図7(G1)に示すように過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物を容器10の外面および内面の双方に吹き付ける代わりに、図7(G2)に示すように、殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aから過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物を容器10の外面のみに向かって吹き付けてもよい。具体的には、殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aをトンネル144Aで容器10の胴部20および底部30に沿って延ばし、殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aから胴部20の外面に向かって水平方向に過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物を吹き付けてもよい。また、過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物を殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aから底部30の外面に向かって上方へ吹き付けてもよい。内容液がミネラルウォーターの場合、殺菌剤を水に置き換えて水蒸気を容器10に対して噴霧してもよい。また、ホットエアPを噴霧せずに、プリフォーム10aを加熱炉133へ搬送させてもよい。
 この殺菌剤供給ノズル193A(第1殺菌部)による第1殺菌工程は、上述のように、容器10のうちラベル40が貼り付けられる外面のみに対して行ってもよい。
 次に図7(H)に示すように、内面および外面に過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物が吹き付けられた容器10はラベル貼り付け部210へ送られ、このラベル貼り付け部210において、容器10の胴部20のうち、下方部から中央部を経て肩部12の下方に至る領域にラベル40が貼り付けられる(ラベル貼り付け工程)。
 このようにラベル40は容器10の胴部20の全域ではなく、下方部から中央部を経て肩部12の下方へ至る約60%程度の領域に貼り付けられる。
 ラベル40は上述のように、ラベル本体40aと、ラベル本体40a上に設けられ、容器10内に充填される内容液の特性を表示する印刷層40bとを含む。
 ラベル貼り付け部210は、チャンバー141c3内に配置されたスターホイール211と、ラベル搬送ドラム212と、接着剤塗布装置212Aと、ラベル押し付け装置215を含む。このラベル貼り付け部210の詳細な構造は後述する。
 次にラベル40が貼り付けられた容器10は、図8(I)に示すように、容器10に対して殺菌剤である過酸化水素が供給されることにより殺菌される。
 具体的には、過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物が殺菌剤供給ノズル193(第2殺菌部)からグリッパ132に保持された搬送中の容器10に吹き付けられる(第2殺菌工程)。殺菌剤供給ノズル193は容器10の口部11に対峙するように配置される。過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物は殺菌剤供給ノズル193の先端から流下し、容器10の口部11から容器10内に侵入して容器10の内面に接触する。
 また、この容器10の走行箇所にはトンネル144が形成され、殺菌剤供給ノズル193から吐出された過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物が容器10の外面およびラベル40の外面に沿って流れ落ち、さらにトンネル144内に滞留することから、容器10の外面およびラベル40の外面にも効果的に付着する。
 過酸化水素のミストM又はガスGは、例えば殺菌剤ガス生成器によって生成可能である。
 殺菌剤供給ノズル193は容器10の搬送路上の定位置に設置してもよいし、容器10と同期的に移動させてもよい。
 図8(I)に示すように、殺菌剤供給ノズル193から吹き出た過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物は容器10の内外面およびラベル40の外面に接触する。
 この過酸化水素のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物の吹き付け後、容器10は、図8(J1)に示すように、エアリンスに付される。エアリンスは無菌エアNがノズル145から容器10内に吹き込まれることによって行われる。この無菌エアNの流れによって容器10内から異物、過酸化水素等が除去される。その際、容器10は正立状態とされる。
 望ましくは、ノズル145には傘状部材184が取り付けられる。この傘状部材184による案内作用によって、無菌エアNは容器10内からあふれ出た後、容器10の外面へと向かい、容器10の外面をエアリンスする。
 またノズル145から加熱された無菌エアNを容器10に供給することによって、第2殺菌工程で供給され容器10の内面および外面、およびラベル40外面に残留する過酸化水素を活性化できる。同時に第1殺菌工程で供給されて容器10とラベル40との間に残留する過酸化水素を活性化できる。
 なお、図8(J1)のエアリンス工程に代えて図8(J2)のごときエアリンス工程を採用してもよい。図8(J2)の工程を採用し、容器10を倒立状態にして下向きになった口部11から無菌エアNを容器10内に吹き込むようにすることで、容器10内の異物等を口部11から容器10外に落下させることができる。あるいは、図8(J1)のエアリンス工程に続いて図8(J2)の工程を、無菌エアNを吹き込むことなく行うようにしてもよい。また、図8(J2)に示すノズル145にも傘状部材184を取り付けてもよい。また、エアリンス工程のホットエアに薄い過酸化水素ガスを添加し、殺菌効果を向上させてもよい。具体的には、過酸化水素のミスト又はガスを70℃~170℃のホットエアに添加する。この時の過酸化水素としては、ガス濃度0.5mg/L~5mg/Lのものを用いることができる。
 エアリンス後に、必要に応じて、図9(K)に示すように、容器10に付着した過酸化水素を洗い流し、且つ異物を除去するためにノズル146を用いて無菌の常温水又は15℃~85℃の熱水による無菌水リンスが行われる。ノズル146の1本あたりの流量は5L/min~15L/minとし、洗浄リンス時間は0.2~10秒にするのが望ましい。
 上述したように、プリフォーム10aの段階で殺菌した後に過酸化水素で容器10をさらに殺菌するので、容器10についての過酸化水素の使用量が少なくて済み、したがって、エアリンス後の温水リンス工程は省略可能である。
 図7(G1)または図7(G2)に示す第1殺菌工程、および図8(I)に示す第2殺菌工程で使用する過酸化水素のミストM又はガスGは次の通りである。
 過酸化水素の使用量をミストMの量に換算した場合、容器10を滅菌するためには、通常容器10に35%重量換算で50μL/500mLボトル~100μL/500mLボトルの量の過酸化水素を付着させる必要がある。しかしながら本実施の形態のように、プリフォーム10aの殺菌を行った場合は、図7(G1)または図7(G2)に示す第1殺菌工程の場合、および図8(I)に示す第2殺菌工程の場合、いずれも10μL/500mLボトル~50μL/500mLボトルの量の過酸化水素ミストMを付着させることで商業的無菌充填が可能となった。
 また、過酸化水素の使用量をガスGの量に換算した場合、プリフォーム10aの殺菌を行うことなく、容器10を滅菌するためには、ガス濃度が5mg/L~10mg/Lの過酸化水素ガスGを容器10に吹き付ける必要があったが、本実施の形態のようにプリフォーム10aの予備加熱を伴う予備殺菌を行った場合は、図7(G1)または図7(G2)に示す第1殺菌工程の場合、図8(I)に示す第2殺菌工程の場合の双方とも、ガス濃度が1mg/L~5mg/Lの過酸化水素ガスGを吹き付けることで商業的無菌充填が可能となった。
 温水を用いた無菌水リンス後に、あるいは無菌水リンスを省略するものとした場合、上記エアリンス後、図9(L)に示すように、内容液Lがフィラー139の充填ノズル110から無菌状態で容器10内に無菌充填される(内容物充填工程)。次に図9(M)に示すように、口部11をキャッパー140によって蓋であるキャップ103で密封することにより、内容液入り容器10Aが得られる。
 過酸化水素を用いて殺菌された容器10内に内容物を無菌充填する内容物充填システム1は、例えば図10A乃至図10Bに示すごとく構成される。
 図10Aおよび図10Bに示すように、内容物充填システムは、口部11aを有する有底筒状のプリフォーム10a(図5(A1)参照)を所定の間隔で順次供給するプリフォーム供給機111と、ブロー成形機112とを備える。また、ブロー成形機112で成形された容器10を殺菌する殺菌剤供給ノズル193(第1殺菌部)と、容器10にラベル40を貼り付けるラベル貼り付け部210と、ラベル40が貼り付けられた容器10を殺菌する殺菌剤供給ノズル193(第2殺菌部)と、容器10に内容液Lを充填し、キャップ103で密封する内容物充填部113とが各々設けられている。
 この内容物充填システム1は、殺菌剤供給ノズル106,ブロー成形機112から内容物充填部113に至る個所においてチャンバー141a,141b,141c1,141c3,141c2,141g,141d,141e,141fで囲まれている。
 また、殺菌剤供給ノズル193(第2殺菌部)は、エアリンスを行うノズル145および無菌水リンスを行うノズル146とともに、殺菌機188を構成している。
 チャンバー141aはプリフォーム10aに殺菌剤を供給する殺菌剤供給ノズル106を収納し、チャンバー141bは容器10を成形するブロー成形機112およびホイール119,121,122を収納する。チャンバー141c1は殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aを収納し、チャンバー141c3はラベル貼り付け部210を収納し、チャンバー141c2は殺菌剤供給ノズル193を収納する。チャンバー141gは、ホイール191,192,123を収納し、チャンバー141dは内容物充填部113を収納する。また、チャンバー141eはホイール126,127を収納し、チャンバー141fは、排出部を構成する。
 内容物充填システム1は、空気の清浄度が管理された建屋に設置することが好ましく、より好ましくは中性能のフィルタで微陽性になった部屋に設置することが好ましい。内容物充填部113を収納するチャンバー141dにHEPAフィルタでろ過されたエアを供給することにより、チャンバー141d内の陽圧が最も高く、次にチャンバー141eおよび141f内の陽圧が高くなっており、チャンバー141d~141fまでが陽圧になっている。チャンバー141b、141c3は、クリーンルームとして維持される。クリーンルームとするため、容器10の製造前からチャンバー141b、141c3内に、HEPAフィルタに通した無菌の陽圧エアが供給される。これにより、チャンバー141b、141c3内がクリーン状態(無菌状態)に維持され、無菌性レベルの高い容器10の製造が可能になる。また、チャンバー141a、141c1,141c2内にもHEPAフィルタに通した無菌の陽圧エアが供給されてもよい。同時にチャンバー141a、141c1,141c2は後述のように強く排気される。
 すべてのチャンバー141b、141c3,141g、141d、141e、141f、141a、141c1,141c2内に無菌の陽圧エアを吹き込む前に、すべてのチャンバー141b、141c3,141g、141d、141e、141f、141a、141c1,141c2内を10mg/L以下の過酸化水素ガスでガス殺菌しても良く、SOPによるチャンバー外面殺菌を行ってもよい。また、製品液の飛沫が飛散し、無菌性レベルの高いチャンバー141g、141d、141e、141fに対してはSOPの前に、COPにより、チャンバー外面洗浄を行ったほうがよい。また、プリフォーム10aや容器10が接触する部位をUVランプで照射(紫外線殺菌)しても良い。或いは、金型104や延伸ロッド105、グリッパ132など資材が接触する箇所をエタノールや過酸化水素が1%含有している薬剤で殺菌しても良い。なお、全チャンバー141b、141c3,141g、141d、141e、141f、141a、141c1,141c2のうち、殺菌剤供給ノズル106に対応するチャンバー141a、ブロー成形機112に対応するチャンバー141b、およびラベル貼り付け部210に対応するチャンバー141c3は必ずしも無菌エアが供給される無菌チャンバーとする必要はない。
 プリフォーム供給機111から内容物充填部113に至る間には、プリフォーム10aを第一の搬送路上で搬送するプリフォーム用搬送手段と、容器10の完成品形状のキャビティ104cを有する金型104を上記第一の搬送路に接続される第二の搬送路上で搬送する金型用搬送手段とが設けられている。また、金型104で成形された容器10を上記第二の搬送路に接続される第三の搬送路上で搬送しながら、容器10に対し殺菌、ラベル貼り付け、充填等を行う容器用搬送手段が設けられる。
 プリフォーム用搬送手段の第一の搬送路と、金型用搬送手段の第二の搬送路と、容器用搬送手段の第三の搬送路は互いに連通する。これらの搬送路上にはプリフォーム10aや容器10を保持しつつ搬送するグリッパ132等が設けられている。
 プリフォーム用搬送手段は、その第一の搬送路上に、プリフォーム供給機111から供給されたプリフォーム10aを所定の間隔で順次供給するプリフォームコンベア114を備える。また、プリフォームコンベア114の終端からプリフォーム10aを受け取り、このプリフォーム10aを搬送するホイール204,205の列と、プリフォーム10aを受け取って走行させる無端チェーン118とを具備する。
 この場合、ホイール204はプリフォーム10aを搬送するとともに、ホイール204にはプリフォーム10aの内面および外面に対して殺菌剤を吹付ける殺菌剤供給ノズル106が設けられている(図5(A)参照)。
 またホイール205は、プリフォーム10aを搬送するとともにホイール205には、プリフォーム10a内にホットエアを吹付けるエアノズル180が設けられている。
 ところで図10Aに示すように、ホイール204におけるプリフォーム10aの走行路上の定位置には、過酸化水素ガスGを生成する殺菌剤ガス生成器と、過酸化水素ガスGをプリフォーム10aに向かって吐出する図5(A)に示したような殺菌剤供給ノズル106が配置される。
 またホイール205におけるプリフォーム10aの走行路上には、プリフォーム10aに向かってホットエアPを吐出することにより、プリフォーム10aの内外面に付着した過酸化水素を活性化させるとともにプリフォーム10aの外に排出するエアノズル180(図5(B)参照)が配置される。ここで、製品に求められる無菌性、および内容液のpHや窒素源の有無、炭酸の有無などによる菌の発育特性を考慮して、プリフォーム10aに必要な殺菌強度と容器容量に影響する残留過酸化水素に問題がなければ、ホットエアPを噴霧せずに、プリフォーム10aを加熱炉133へ搬送させてもよい。
 図10Aに示すように、ホイール204の回りは、チャンバー141aで囲まれている。このチャンバー141aには、チャンバー141a内のエア中の過酸化水素等の殺菌剤を分解するフィルタ136と、ブロア137とからなる排気手段が連結される。これにより、隣接するブロー成形機112内へ過酸化水素が流入しないようにする。第一の搬送路中、ホイール205に接するホイール117から第二の搬送路に接するホイール119に至る箇所には、プリフォーム10aを成形温度まで加熱する加熱炉133が設けられる。
 プリフォーム10aは加熱炉133内を走行しながら均一に加熱され、口部11a以外がブロー成形に適した温度である90℃~130℃まで昇温する。口部11aは、キャップ103が被せられたときの気密性を保つため、変形等を生じることのない70℃以下の温度に抑えられる。
 第二の搬送路の回りには、ブロー成形機112が配置される。ブロー成形機112は、上記加熱炉133内で加熱されたプリフォーム10aを受け取って容器10を成形する。
 プリフォーム用搬送手段の第一の搬送路と、金型用搬送手段の第二の搬送路との間に位置するホイール119の上方には、このホイール119の回りを走行するプリフォーム10aに対しその口部11aの上方から覆う覆い186(図6(D)参照)がトンネル状に設けられる。この覆い186内には無菌エアQがプリフォーム10aの口部11aに向かうように吹き込まれる。この無菌エアQは、無菌エア供給装置から供給される無菌エアPの一部を分け取ったものであってもよい。
 これにより、プリフォーム10aはクリーンルームをなすチャンバー141bに囲まれたうえ、さらに無菌エアQを覆う覆い186により覆われることとなり、無菌性を高度に維持した状態でブロー成形機112に向かうことになる。
 ブロー成形機112はホイール120に沿って配置された金型104を有し、金型104は、第三の搬送路の始端となるホイール121に接したところで型開きし、ホイール121の回りのグリッパ132によって受け取られる。
 ブロー成形機112から出てホイール121に至った容器10は、ホイール121の外周に必要に応じて配置される検査装置135によって成形不良等の有無について検査される。
 検査された容器10は、不合格の場合は図示しない排斥装置によって搬送路から排除され、合格品のみがホイール122へと搬送される。
 第三の搬送路中、ホイール121,122における容器10の走行路の上方には、容器10に対しその口部11aの上方から覆う覆い187(図6(F)参照)がトンネル状に設けられる。この覆い187内に吹き込まれる無菌エアQは、無菌エア供給装置から供給する無菌エアPから一部分け取ったものであってもよい。
 またホイール122の下流側には、容器10を搬送するホイール189が連結され、このホイール189に上述した殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aが設けられている。ホイール189および殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aは第1殺菌部を構成するとともに、チャンバー141c1(第1殺菌部無菌チャンバー)内に収納されている。
 そしてホイール189および殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aの下流側には、ラベル貼り付け部210が配置されている。このラベル貼り付け部210はスターホイール211と、搬送ドラム212と、接着剤塗布装置212Aと、例えばブラシ等からなるラベル押し付け装置215とを含む。このラベル貼り付け部210はチャンバー141c1と、チャンバー141c2との間に介在されたチャンバー141c3(ラベル貼り付け部無菌チャンバー)内に配置されている。
 次にラベル貼り付け部210について、図10Aおよび図10Bにより詳述する。
 図10Aおよび図10Bに示すように、ラベル貼り付け部210は、帯状ラベル40Aを供給するラベル供給部230と、ラベル供給部230から供給された帯状ラベル40Aを切断して容器10に貼り付けられるラベル40を作製するロータリーカッター213と、ロータリーカッター213により作製されたラベル40を吸着保持しながら搬送する前段ラベル搬送ドラム214と、前段ラベル搬送ドラム214から送られたラベル40を吸着保持するとともに、ラベル40を搬送するラベル搬送ドラム212と、ラベル搬送ドラム212に吸着保持されたラベル40に対してホットメルト等の接着剤を塗布する接着剤塗布装置212Aとを有する。このうち、前段ラベル搬送ドラム214と、ラベル搬送ドラム212はラベル40を吸着する吸着機構を含む。
 搬送ドラム212により搬送されたラベル40は、スターホイール211により搬送される容器10の胴部20外周に貼り付けられる。
 スターホイール211の外周には容器10を回転自在に保持する保持部(図示せず)が設けられている。ホイール189から送られる容器10が搬送ホイール223および入口ホイール216を経てスターホイール211の保持部に保持される。入口ホイール216は、搬送ドラム212においてラベル40が重ならない(干渉しない)ように容器10間のピッチが適宜変更されるようになっていてもよい。容器10が角ボトル等の多面容器であり、ラベルの貼り付け位置を合わせる必要がある場合、入口ホイール216からスターホイール211までの間に容器10の方向規制装置を設けてもよい。そしてラベル搬送ドラム212によって吸着保持されたラベル40は、スターホイール211の外周の保持部により保持された容器10へ受け渡される。その後ラベル搬送ドラム212が回転し、かつスターホイール211の保持部が回転することにより、ラベル40が塗布された接着剤を介して容器10の外周に巻き付けられて貼り付けられる。なお、ラベル40を容器10の外周に接着剤を介して貼り付ける代わりに、感熱ラベルを用い、この感熱ラベルを加熱しながら容器10の外周に貼り付けてもよい。
 空の容器10を高速搬送する場合、容器10は遠心力の影響を受ける。ラベル40を正確に巻き付けるために、容器10の口部11の天面、及び/又はサポート部17を固定し、容器10の水平を維持させる必要がある。この場合、口部11に円錐状や円柱状の治具を挿入させてもよく、容器10の底部30中央にあるゲート部35を下方から押圧して、容器10の水平を維持しもよい。空の容器10が薄肉ボトルの場合、容器10の口部11の天面からエア(好ましくは除菌フィルタでろ過した無菌エア)を供給し、容器10の内圧を微陽圧にした状態でラベル40を巻き付けてもよい。この無菌エアに過酸化水素ガス(5~300mg/L)を添加し、容器10の内面の殺菌を同時に行ってもよい。また容器10の口部11からエアを供給する場合、容器10のリーク検査を同時に行ってもよい。具体的には、容器10の口部11の天面をエア供給ノズルで密封し、容器10内に一定時間、圧力をかけ、圧力の減少量(減少率)を測定することで容器10にピンホールが開いていないか検査を行ってもよい。
 その後スターホイール211の保持部に保持された容器10はラベル押し付け装置215まで送られる。このラベル押し付け装置215により容器10に巻き付けられたラベル40が容器10に対して押し付けられる。
 そして容器10に巻き付けられたラベル40は、このラベル押し付け装置215により押圧されて容器10に対して精度良く確実に貼り付けられる。特にラベル40の端部同士がラベル押し付け装置215により確実に密着される。
 ラベル40が貼り付けられた容器10は出口ホイール217、連結ホイール224および排出ホイール219を経て次のホイール190へ送られる。出口ホイール217は入口ホイール216と同様に、その後の殺菌、充填、キャップの取り付けの各工程に合わせて容器10間のピッチを変更させてもよい。
 容器10に貼り付けられたラベル40は容器10がスターホイール211および/または出口ホイール217にある間、検査装置232によりラベル40の貼り付け状態(貼り付け位置等)が検査され、ラベル40の貼り付け状態の不良な容器10は排出機構255から排出される。この検査装置232により容器10の口部11、サポート部17および底部30の検査を同時に行ってもよい。
 図10Aおよび図10Bに示すラベル貼り付け部210のうち、搬送ホイール223、入口ホイール216、スターホイール211、出口ホイール217、連結ホイール224、検査装置232、ロータリーカッター213、前段ラベル搬送ドラム214,ラベル搬送ドラム212、接着剤塗布装置212Aおよび搬送ローラ220は、いずれもチャンバー141c3(ラベル貼り付け部無菌チャンバー)内に収納されている。またラベル供給部230はチャンバー141c3の外方に配置されている。そしてラベル供給部230から供給される帯状ラベル40Aは、開口231を介してチャンバー141c3内に送られ、搬送ローラ220を経てロータリーカッター213により切断されて、ラベル40が作製される。
 第三の搬送路中、上記ホイール189に続いてラベル貼り付け部210が設けられている。そしてラベル貼り付け部210にはホイール190,191,192,123が連結され、ホイール190,191,192,123の列には、殺菌剤供給ノズル193(第2殺菌部)(図8(I)参照)及び無菌エア供給ノズル145(図8(J1)又は(J2)参照)が設けられる。
 具体的には、殺菌剤供給ノズル193がホイール190の回りにおける容器10の走行路上の定位置に複数基(図10Aでは、三基)設置される。また、殺菌剤供給ノズル193に対応して容器10が通過するトンネル144(図8(I)参照)も設置される。殺菌剤供給ノズル193から吹き出る過酸化水素水のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物は容器10の内部に入って容器10の内面に薄い被膜となって付着する。また、過酸化水素水のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物は容器10の外面およびラベル40の外面に沿って流れるとともにトンネル44内に充満して容器10の外面およびラベル40の外面に薄い被膜となって付着する。
 ホイール192の回りにおける容器10の走行路上の定位置には、無菌エア供給ノズル145およびノズル146が一基又は複数基設置される。無菌エア供給ノズル145から吹き出た無菌エアNは容器10の内面および外面およびラベル40の外面に接触して容器10の表面に付着した余剰の過酸化水素水の被膜を除去する。無菌エアNがホットエアである場合は、容器10の内面および外面、ラベル40の外面、および容器10の外面とラベル40の内面との間に付着した過酸化水素を活性化させ、殺菌効果を高める。これにより、ラベル40と容器10の隙間に菌が付着していても確実に殺菌することができ、無菌チャンバー141g、141d、141e、141fの無菌性を長時間維持することができる。
 なお、殺菌剤供給ノズル193と無菌エア供給ノズル145は、各ホイール190,192の回りに容器10のピッチと同じピッチで多数配置し、各ホイール190,192と同期的に旋回運動をさせつつ容器10内に過酸化水素のガスGや無菌エアNを吹き込むようにしてもよい。
 第三の搬送路中、上記ホイール123に接するホイール124からホイール127に至る箇所には、フィラー139(内容物充填部)及びキャッパー140が設けられる。
 具体的には、ホイール124の回りに容器10内に内容液Lを充填するための充填ノズル110(図9(L)参照)が多数設けられることによりフィラー139が構成される。ホイール126の回りには、内容液Lが充填された容器10にキャップ103(図9(M)参照)を取り付けて密封するためのキャッパー140が構成される。
 上記第一乃至第三の搬送路において、ホイール204の回りはチャンバー141aによって囲まれる。ホイール205,ホイール117からホイール122に至る箇所の周辺は、チャンバー141bによって囲まれる。ホイール189の周辺は、チャンバー141c1によって囲まれる。またラベル貼り付け部210の搬送ホイール223、入口ホイール216、スターホイール211、出口ホイール217、連結ホイール224および排出ホイール219、ロータリーカッター213,前段ラベル搬送ドラム214,ラベル搬送ドラム212、および接着剤塗布装置212Aは、チャンバー141c3によって囲まれている。ホイール190の周辺は、チャンバー141c2によって囲まれる。ホイール191からホイール123に至る箇所の周辺は、チャンバー141gによって囲まれる。また、ホイール124およびホイール125の周辺はチャンバー141dにより囲まれ、ホイール125からホイール127に至る箇所の周辺はチャンバー141eにより囲まれる。
 このうちチャンバー141c1は殺菌剤供給ノズル193A(第1殺菌部)を囲んでおり、第1殺菌部チャンバーを構成する。またチャンバー141c2は殺菌剤供給ノズル193(第2殺菌部)を囲んでおり、第2殺菌部チャンバーを構成する。
 さらにチャンバー141c3は搬送ホイール223、入口ホイール216、スターホイール211、出口ホイール217、連結ホイール224、排出ホイール219、ロータリーカッター213、前段ラベル搬送ドラム214、ラベル搬送ドラム212および接着剤塗布装置212Aを含むラベル貼り付け部210を囲んでおり、ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーを構成する。
 上述のように、チャンバー141b、141c3,141g、141d、141e、141f内には、無菌の陽圧エアが供給され、チャンバー141b、141c3,141g、141d、141e、141f内はクリーン状態に維持される。チャンバー141a、141c1,141c2は排気されて、チャンバー141a、141c1,141c2内は、-20Pa~5Pa、好ましくは-10Pa~1Paに維持される。このことにより、チャンバー141a、141c1,141c2は、チャンバー内圧力が0~10Paであるチャンバー141b、141c3,チャンバー内圧力が10~100Paである141g、141d、141e、141fに比べて、低い圧力に維持される。とりわけ、チャンバー141c3は、図示しないHEPAフィルタ等によって浄化された無菌エアが常時供給されて、隣接するチャンバー141c1,141c2に対して陽圧となるよう設定されている。
 このようにラベル貼り付け部210を囲むチャンバー141c3(ラベル貼り付け部無菌チャンバー)が、殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aを囲むチャンバー141c1(第1殺菌部無菌チャンバー)および殺菌剤供給ノズル193を囲むチャンバー141c2(第2殺菌部無菌チャンバー)に対して陽圧となっている。このため、チャンバー141c1内の過酸化水素あるいはチャンバー141c2内の過酸化水素がラベル貼り付け部210を囲むチャンバー141c3内に進入することはない。このことにより過酸化水素によってラベル貼り付け部210の作用に支障が生じることを未然に防ぐことができる。
 本実施の形態において、チャンバー141bはチャンバー141c1に対して陽圧となっていることが好ましく、このことによりチャンバー141c1内の過酸化水素がチャンバー141b内へ進入することを防ぐことができ、このことにより、過酸化水素によってブロー成形工程に支障が生じることはない。
 上記チャンバー141bの内部へは、図示しないHEPAフィルタ等によって浄化された無菌エアが常時供給される。これにより、チャンバー141bはクリーンルームとされ、その内部への微生物の侵入が阻止される。
 上記した全チャンバー141b、141c3,141g、141d、141e、141f、141a、141c1,141c2の各内部は、例えばCOP(cleaning outside of place)、SOP(sterilizing outside of place)の実施により殺菌処理され、その後、これらの全チャンバー141b、141c3,141g、141d、141e、141f、141a、141c1,141c2の各々に又は一体的に設置された排気手段によって各チャンバー141b、141c3,141g、141d、141e、141f、141a、141c1,141c2内から殺菌剤、洗浄剤のガスやミストがチャンバー外に排出される。そして、図示しないスクラバー、フィルタ等によって浄化された無菌エアがこれらの各チャンバー141b、141c3,141g、141d、141e、141f、141a、141c1,141c2内に供給されることによって、各チャンバー141b、141c3,141g、141d、141e、141f、141a、141c1,141c2内の無菌性が維持される。なお、上記の全チャンバーのうち、チャンバー141g、141d、141e、141fについてはCOP、SOPが必ず実施されるが、チャンバー141a、141b、141c1,141c2,141c3については、COP、SOPを必ずしも実施する必要はない。また、全チャンバー141b、141c3,141g、141d、141e、141f、141a、141c1,141c2のうち、チャンバー141a、141b、141c1,141c2,141c3は、必ずしも無菌エアが供給される無菌チャンバーとする必要はない。
 また、チャンバー141c1は、チャンバー141bとチャンバー141c3との間の雰囲気を遮断する雰囲気遮断チャンバーとして機能する。このチャンバー141c1にも、上記排気手段と同様な排気手段が連結され、チャンバー141c1の内気が外部に強く排気される。またチャンバー141c1はチャンバー141bに対して陰圧となっている。これにより、チャンバー141d内のCOP、SOPにより発生する洗浄剤のガス等や、チャンバー141c2内で発生する殺菌剤のミスト等、チャンバー141c3内の雰囲気がチャンバー141c1を経てブロー成形機112のチャンバー141b内へと流入するのを阻止することができる。
 なお、容器の殺菌装置における環境(チャンバーや製品液ライン)、内容液入り容器10Aの中身の殺菌強度は、中身のpHや窒素源、炭素源、カテキンなどの含有量により異なる。
 従って、中身によりCOP、SOPの内容や必要なエリアも異なる。加えて、無菌エアの供給配管やボトル殺菌も製品により不要な場合がある。
 次に、図5~図11を参照して内容物充填システムの動作すなわち内容物充填方法を説明する。
 まず、図5(A)に示すように、プリフォーム供給機111からプリフォーム10aが供給され、このプリフォーム10aはプリフォームコンベア114を経てホイール204へ送られる。
 プリフォーム10aはこのホイール204により搬送され、この間、殺菌剤供給ノズル106からプリフォーム10aの内面および外面に向って過酸化水素のガスG若しくはミスト又はこれらの混合物が供給される。
 次に内面および外面に過酸化水素のガスG若しくはミスト又はこれらの混合物が供給されたプリフォーム10aはホイール205へ送られる。そしてホイール205によってプリフォーム10aが回転搬送される間、エアノズル180からホットエアPがプリフォーム10aの内側に吹き付けられる(図5(B)参照)。このホットエアPの熱により、プリフォーム10a内面に付着した過酸化水素が活性化され、プリフォーム10aに付着した微生物が殺菌される。また、ホットエアPにより余剰の過酸化水素がプリフォーム10aから除去される。
 その後、プリフォーム10aは、無端チェーン118上のスピンドル143(図5(C)参照)に受け取られ、加熱炉133内へと搬送される。
 加熱炉133内においてプリフォーム10aは赤外線ヒータ118aによって加熱され、口部11aを除く全体の温度がブロー成形に適した温度域まで均一に加熱される。この間、プリフォーム10aが全体として加熱され、プリフォーム10a外面に残る過酸化水素が活性化され、プリフォーム10a外面が殺菌される。
 加熱炉133内で成形温度まで加熱されたプリフォーム10aは、ホイール119の回りを走行する際、覆い186の中を通りながら、無菌エアQを吹き付けられる(図6(D)参照)。これにより、プリフォーム10aは無菌性を維持しつつブロー成形機112へと搬送される。無菌エアQがホットエアである場合は、プリフォーム10aは成形に適した温度を好適に維持しつつブロー成形機112に到達する。
 プリフォーム10aは、ホイール120の外周を通過する際に図6(E)のごとく金型104内に挿着され、無菌の高圧エアが吹き込まれることによってキャビティ104c内で容器10の完成品へと膨張する。
 成形された容器10は、金型104の型開き後にホイール121の回りのグリッパによって金型104外方に取り出され、検査装置135によって成形不良等の有無について検査される。
 不良品の容器10は図示しない排出装置によって列外に除かれる。良品の容器10のみがホイール122へと受け渡され、その後ホイール189へと搬送される。
 また、容器10は、ホイール121からホイール122へと走行する際、覆い187の中を通りながら、無菌エアQを吹き付けられる(図6(F)参照)。これにより、容器10は無菌性を維持しつつホイール189へと搬送される。無菌エアQがホットエアである場合は、容器10は殺菌に適した温度を好適に維持しつつホイール189に到達する。
 容器10がホイール189に達すると、容器10はホイール189の回りを走行する。この間、殺菌剤供給ノズル193A(第1殺菌部)から容器10の少なくとも外面、さらには内面に、過酸化水素水のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物が吹き付けられて殺菌される(図7(G1)および図7(G2)参照)。
 このように殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aから過酸化水素水のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物が吹き付けられる工程は、第1殺菌工程となる。この第1殺菌工程においては、容器10の内面および外面の双方ではなく、容器10の外面のみに過酸化水素水のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物を吹き付けてもよい。
 過酸化水素水溶液は、一旦沸点以上で気化させたガス又はミスト状のものであり、容器10に向かって供給される。この容器10の少なくとも外面に凝結付着する過酸化水素のガス又はミストの量は、35質量%換算で0.01μL/cm以上0.1μL/cm以下の範囲が好適である。この過酸化水素の付着量が0.01μL/cm以上となることにより、容器10で均一な殺菌効果を得ることができる。一方、過酸化水素の付着量が0.1μL/cm以上になると、過酸化水素の使用量と排気風量が大きくなり経済的ではない。この容器10の少なくとも外面に対する35質量%換算の過酸化水素凝結皮膜の付着量は、より望ましくは、0.03μL/cm以上0.07μL/cm以下である。容器10の外面に付着させるエリアは、少なくともラベルが貼付される全てのエリアが好ましいが、ラベルが貼付されない位置からラベルが貼付される垂直方向に0mm以上30mm以下の領域に限定してもよい。
 殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aから過酸化水素が供給された容器10は、その後、ラベル貼り付け部210へ送られる。なお、ラベル貼り付け部210へ搬送される箇所で容器10外面に付着した過酸化水素を無菌エアで除去してもよく、この場合、ホットエアで過酸化水素を活性化してもよい。
 図10Aおよび図10Bに示すラベル貼り付け部210によるラベル貼り付け工程を、以下説明する。
 図10Aおよび図10Bに示すように、ラベル貼り付け部210では、ラベル供給部230から帯状ラベル40Aが供給される。ラベル供給部230からの帯状ラベル40Aはロータリーカッター213により切断されて、ラベル40が作製される。
 次に、ロータリーカッター213により作製されたラベル40は、前段ラベル搬送ドラム214を経てラベル搬送ドラム212に送られ、このラベル搬送ドラム212により吸着保持されて搬送される。そしてラベル40がラベル搬送ドラム212に吸着保持されて搬送される間、ラベル40に対してホットメルト等の接着剤(または糊)が接着剤塗布装置212Aから塗布される。
 その後、ラベル搬送ドラム212により吸着保持され接着剤塗布装置212Aにより接着剤が塗布されたラベル40は、スターホイール211により搬送される容器10の胴部20外周に貼り付けられる。
 スターホイール211の外周には容器10を回転自在に保持する保持部(図示せず)が設けられ、ホイール189により送られる容器10が搬送ホイール223および入口ホイール216を経てスターホイール211の保持部に保持される。そしてラベル搬送ドラム212によって吸着保持され、接着剤塗布装置212Aにより接着剤が塗布されたラベル40はスターホイール211の外周の保持部により保持された容器10へ受け渡される。その後、ラベル搬送ドラム212が回転し、かつスターホイール211の保持部が回転することにより、ラベル40が容器10の外周に巻き付けられて貼り付けられる。
 その後スターホイール211の保持部に保持された容器10はラベル押し付け装置215まで送られる。次に、このラベル押し付け装置215により容器10に巻き付けられたラベル40が容器10に対して押し付けられる。
 そして容器10に巻き付けられたラベル40は、このラベル押し付け装置215により押圧されて容器10に対して精度良く確実に貼り付けられる。特にラベル40の端部同士がラベル押し付け装置215により確実に密着される。
 ラベル40が貼り付けられた容器10は出口ホイール217、連結ホイール224および排出ホイール219を経て次のホイール190へ送られる。
 この間、容器10に貼り付けられたラベル40は検査装置232によりラベル40の貼り付け状態(貼り付け位置等)が検査され、ラベル40の貼り付け状態の不良な容器10はホイール224を経て、排出機構255から排出される。なお、検査装置232により、ラベル40の貼り付け状態を検査することなく、フィラー139により容器10内に内容液Lを充填して内容液入り容器10Aを作製する。この内容液入り容器10Aに対して液面検査やキャップ103に対する検査を行う際、同時にラベル40の貼り付け状態を検査してもよい。
 次に容器10は、ホイール190へ送られ、容器10はホイール190の回りを走行しつつ、図8(I)のように、殺菌剤供給ノズル193から過酸化水素水のミストM若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物を吹き付けられて殺菌される。この場合、容器10の内面および外面、およびラベル40の外面に、殺菌剤供給ノズル193(第2殺菌部)から過酸化水素水のミスト若しくはガスG又はこれらの混合物が吹き付けられて殺菌される(第2殺菌工程)。続いて、容器10はホイール192の回りを走行しつつ、容器10に対して図8(J1)又は(J2)のように、無菌エアNが吹き付けられてエアリンスされる。
 なお、別の実施の形態として、図10Bに示すように、殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aをホイール216に設置するとともに、殺菌剤供給ノズル193をホイール217に設置し、ホイール216とホイール217を殺菌剤噴霧部チャンバー141c4内に設置してもよい(図10Bの破線参照)。この場合は、チャンバー141c3と、ホイール189を収納するチャンバー141c1と、ホイール190を収納するチャンバー141c2を一体に構成することができる。また、殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aが設置されたホイール189、ホイール223、殺菌剤供給ノズル193が設置されたホイール190、およびホイール191を取り除くこともできる。このように、ホイール189,223、190,191を取り除くことによって、ホイールの数が削減でき、設備全体はよりコンパクトになる。この場合、殺菌剤噴霧部チャンバー141c4内の殺菌剤がスターホイール211に流出しないように、殺菌剤噴霧部チャンバー141c4を、チャンバー141c3に対して陰圧とし、殺菌剤噴霧部チャンバー141c4と、チャンバー141c3との間の圧力差を10Pa以上とするとよい。また殺菌剤(特に過酸化水素のガス又はミスト、又はその混合物)を噴霧した後、容器外面に凝結付着した殺菌剤がラベルの装着性に影響を及ぼす場合、無菌のホットエアで殺菌剤を気化させても良い。ホットメルト等の接着剤が容器に貼付される箇所の一部を気化させてもよい。
 その後、容器10はホイール123を経てチャンバー141d内の内容物充填部113に至る。
 内容物充填部113において容器10に対してあらかじめ滅菌処理された内容液(内容物ともいう)Lが図9(L)のごとくフィラー139(内容物充填部)の充填ノズル110により充填される。内容液Lが充填された容器10は、チャンバー141e内に配置されたキャッパー(密封部ともいう)140によりキャップ103が施されて密封され(図9(M)参照)、チャンバー141fの出口から外方へ排出される。
 なお、本実施の形態において、プリフォーム10aに対して殺菌剤を吸着させる工程は、ブロー成形機と連結したインラインで行っているが、ブロー成形時に殺菌剤成分の一部が吸着した状態さえ維持できればオフラインであっても良い。
 以上のように本実施の形態によれば、容器10に対して過酸化水素を吹き付ける殺菌剤供給ノズル193A(第1殺菌部)と、ラベル40が貼り付けられた容器10に対して過酸化水素を吹き付ける殺菌剤供給ノズル193(第2殺菌部)との間にラベル貼り付け部210を設け、このラベル貼り付け部210により容器10の胴部20にラベル40を貼り付ける。このようにラベル貼り付け部210をフィラー139の上流側に組み込むことにより、例えばラベル貼り付け部210をフィラー139の下流側に設ける場合に比べて、システム全体をコンパクトに構成することができる。
 すなわち、ラベル貼り付け部210をフィラー139の下流側に設ける場合、容器10内にはすでに内容液が充填されている。このため、内容液が充填された容器10を搬送しながら、この容器10に対してラベルを貼り付けることになる。内容液が充填された容器10を搬送する作業は容易ではなく、かつ内容液が充填された容器10に対してラベルを貼り付ける作業は貼り付け精度が低下する。このため、ラベル貼り付け部の故障を見越してラベル貼り付け部の前段に大きな容器のバッファ領域を設けることがある。この場合はシステム全体の設置面積が大きくなってしまう。また充填された容器10の外面は、洗浄水が付着している場合が多い。ラベルの貼り付け異常を回避するために、ラベル貼り付け前にエア等で容器10外面の水滴を除去させる必要がある。加えて、フィラー139から排出された容器10は容器10のピッチがバラバラになっているため、ラベル貼り付け部の入口で単列化させ、スクリュー等で等間隔のピッチに調整する必要がある。容器10のサイズ、形状が異なる場合、ピッチ調整用のスクリューを都度型替えする必要がある。
 これに対して本実施の形態によれば、ラベル貼り付け部210を殺菌剤供給ノズル193A(第1殺菌部)と殺菌剤供給ノズル193(第2殺菌部)との間に設置するため、ラベル貼り付け部210により内容液が充填する前の容器10に対して精度良くラベル40を貼り付けることができる。またラベル貼り付け部210の前段にバッファ領域を設ける必要がないため、内容物充填システム全体をコンパクトに構成することができる。
 また殺菌剤供給ノズル193A(第1殺菌部)により容器10の内面および外面に過酸化水素を吹き付け、ラベル貼り付け部210により容器10の外面にラベル40を貼り付けた後、殺菌剤供給ノズル193(第2殺菌部)により容器10の内面および外面、およびラベル40の外面に過酸化水素を吹き付ける。
 このことにより容器10の内面および外面、およびラベル40の外面に過酸化水素を吹き付けることができ、容器10の内面および外面、およびラベル40の外面に付着する微生物を殺菌することができる。
 その後容器10に対してノズル145から無菌エアNを吹き付けるエアリンス工程を施す。
 この場合、ノズル145から加熱された無菌エアNを吹き付けることにより、殺菌剤供給ノズル193(第2殺菌部)により吹き付けられ、容器10の内面および外面、およびラベル40の外面に付着する過酸化水素を活性化できる。このことによって活性化された過酸化水素により、容器10の内面および外面、およびラベル40の外面に付着する微生物を確実に殺菌できる。
 同時に殺菌剤供給ノズル193A(第1殺菌部)により容器10に対して吹き付けられて容器10の外面とラベル40の内面との間に残留する過酸化水素を活性化させることができる。このことによって活性化された過酸化水素により、容器10の外面とラベル40の内面との間に付着する微生物を確実に殺菌することができる。この場合、活性化された過酸化水素により、少なくとも容器10の外面又は少なくともラベル40の内面を殺菌することができる。
 さらにまた殺菌剤供給ノズル193Aはチャンバー141c1(第1殺菌部無菌チャンバー)により囲まれ、ラベル貼り付け部210はチャンバー141c3(ラベル貼り付け部無菌チャンバー)により囲まれ、殺菌剤供給ノズル193はチャンバー141c2(第2殺菌部無菌チャンバー)により囲まれている。
 この場合、チャンバー141c3は、チャンバー141c1およびチャンバー141c2に対して陽圧となっている。このため、内容物充填システム1の作動中に、チャンバー141c1およびチャンバー141c2内の過酸化水素がチャンバー141c3内に侵入することはなく、過酸化水素によってチャンバー141c3内のラベル貼り付け部210の作用に支障が生じることはない。
 またブロー成形機112が配置されたチャンバー141bはチャンバー141c1に対して陽圧となっている。このため内容物充填システム1の作動中に、チャンバー141c1内の過酸化水素がチャンバー141b内に侵入することはなく、過酸化水素によって、チャンバー141d内のブロー成形機112の作用に支障が生じることもない。なお、本実施の形態において、容器10の外面に殺菌剤を供給し、その後、容器10の外面にラベル40を貼り付けた例を示したが、これに限らず、ラベル40に殺菌剤を塗布した後、ラベル40を容器10の外面に貼り付けてもよい。また、容器10の外面を殺菌剤で殺菌し、かつラベル40を殺菌剤で殺菌した後、容器10の外面にラベル40を貼り付けてもよい。また、容器10の外面とラベル40に対して紫外線、放射線、および熱等を付与し、容器10の外面とラベル40を殺菌した後、容器10に対してラベル40を貼り付けてもよい。
 容器10の外面とラベル40に対してUVランプ250を用いて紫外線殺菌を行う場合、UVランプ250を垂直方向に設置し、貼付されるラベル40と容器10全面(少なくともラベルが貼付される面)を照射するとよい(図10C参照)。UVランプは、スターホイール211で容器10が回転されながら胴部に照射されるが、容器10の全周に照射できる本数を設置するとよい。貼付されるラベルの表面を殺菌するUVランプと容器10の胴部を殺菌するUVランプを同じものを用いてもよいが、それぞれ別々に設置してもよい。また、テーブル251上の容器10内に固定ノズル252から無菌エアを噴射させてもよい。UVランプ250を用いてラベル40と容器10の外面に対して同時に紫外線殺菌を行う。紫外線とは、100nm~380nmの波長を有する電磁波の1種であり、特にUV-Cと称せられる100nm~280nmの波長が殺菌には効果的である。さらに、最も殺菌効果を有するのは253.7nmの波長であり、これを含むことが最適である。また、低圧水銀ランプ、高圧水銀ランプ、キセノンフラッシュランプ、紫外線LED等であってもよい。紫外線の代わりに、電子線を用いてもよい。また、上記本実施の形態において、ラベル40を貼付後の容器10に対して殺菌剤を吹き付けて殺菌する例について説明したが、これに限らない。ラベル40を貼り付けた後の容器10を電子線照射で殺菌してもよい。

Claims (14)

  1.  内容物充填システムにおいて、
     容器の少なくとも外面又はラベルの少なくとも内面を殺菌する第1殺菌部と、
     前記第1殺菌部で殺菌された前記容器の外面に前記ラベルを貼り付けるラベル貼り付け部と、
     前記ラベル貼り付け部で前記ラベルが貼り付けられた前記容器を殺菌する第2殺菌部と、
     前記第2殺菌部で殺菌された容器内に内容物を充填する内容物充填部と、
     前記容器を密封する密封部とを備えた内容物充填システム。
  2.  前記第2殺菌部と前記内容物充填部との間に、前記容器に対してホットエアを吹き付けるエアリンス部を設けた、請求項1記載の内容物充填システム。
  3.  前記第2殺菌部は前記容器の内面および外面に対して殺菌剤を吹き付ける、請求項1記載の内容物充填システム。
  4.  前記第1殺菌部と、前記ラベル貼り付け部と、前記第2殺菌部は、いずれも各々区画された第1殺菌部チャンバー、ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーおよび第2殺菌部チャンバーにより囲まれ、前記ラベル貼り付け部の前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーは前記第1殺菌部の前記第1殺菌部チャンバーおよび、または前記第2殺菌部の前記第2殺菌部チャンバーに対して陽圧となっている、請求項1記載の内容物充填システム。
  5.  前記ラベル貼り付け部は帯状ラベルを供給するラベル供給部と、前記ラベル供給部から供給された帯状ラベルを切断して前記ラベルを作製するロータリーカッターと、前記ロータリーカッターで作製されたラベルを吸着しながら保持するラベル搬送ドラムと、前記容器を搬送して前記ラベル搬送ドラムで保持されたラベルを受け取り前記容器に貼り付けるスターホイールとを有し、前記スターホイールと、前記ラベル搬送ドラムと、前記ロータリーカッターは前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバー内に収納される、請求項4記載の内容物充填システム。
  6.  前記ラベル搬送ドラムに保持されたラベルに対して接着剤または糊を塗布する接着剤塗布装置を設けた。請求項5記載の内容物充填システム。
  7.  前記ラベル供給部は前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバー外方に配置され、前記帯状ラベルは前記ラベル供給部から前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーの開口を介して前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバー内に供給される、請求項5記載の内容物充填システム。
  8.  内容物充填方法において、
     容器の少なくとも外面に、第1殺菌部において前記容器を殺菌する第1殺菌工程と、
     前記第1殺菌部で殺菌された前記容器の外面に、ラベル貼り付け部においてラベルを貼り付けるラベル貼り付け工程と、
     前記ラベル貼り付け部で前記ラベルが貼り付けられた前記容器に対して、第2殺菌部において前記容器を殺菌する第2殺菌工程と、
     前記第2殺菌部で殺菌された容器内に、内容物充填部により内容物を充填する内容物充填工程と、
     前記容器を密封部により密封する工程と、を備えた内容物充填方法。
  9.  前記第2殺菌部と前記内容物充填部との間に設けられたエアリンス部により、前記容器に対してホットエアを吹き付ける、請求項8記載の内容物充填方法。
  10.  前記第2殺菌部により、前記容器の内面および外面に対して殺菌剤を吹き付ける、請求項8記載の内容物充填方法。
  11.  前記第1殺菌部と、前記ラベル貼り付け部と、前記第2殺菌部は、いずれも各々区画された第1殺菌部チャンバー、ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーおよび第2殺菌部チャンバーにより囲まれ、前記ラベル貼り付け部の前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーは前記第1殺菌部の前記第1殺菌部チャンバーおよび、または前記第2殺菌部の前記第2殺菌部チャンバーに対して陽圧となっている、請求項8記載の内容物充填方法。
  12.  前記ラベル貼り付け工程は、ラベル供給部から帯状ラベルを供給する工程と、前記ラベル供給部からの帯状ラベルをロータリーカッターにより切断して前記ラベルを作製する工程と、前記ロータリーカッターで作製されたラベルをラベル搬送ドラムで搬送しながら保持する工程と、前記容器をスターホイールにより搬送して前記ラベル搬送ドラムで保持されたラベルを前記容器に貼り付ける工程とを有し、前記スターホイールと、前記ラベル搬送ドラムと、前記ロータリーカッターは前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバー内に収納される、請求項11記載の内容物充填方法。
  13.  前記ラベル搬送ドラムに保持されたラベルに対して接着剤塗布装置により接着剤を塗布する、請求項12記載の内容物充填方法。
  14.  前記ラベル供給部は前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバー外方に配置され、前記帯状ラベルは前記ラベル供給部から前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバーの開口を介して前記ラベル貼り付け部チャンバー内に供給される、請求項12記載の内容物充填方法。
