Abstract

本発明は、優れた加工性を示すとともに、タイヤにしたときに優れた転がり性能、ウェット性能、耐摩耗性及び耐チッピング性を示すタイヤ用ゴム組成物、並びに、上記タイヤ用ゴム組成物を用いて製造されたタイヤを提供することを課題とする。本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、変性共役ジエン系ゴム(A1)を含むゴム成分(A)とシリカ(B)とシランカップリング剤(C)とを含有し、A1が、特定の式を満たし、且つ、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を含む変性基を有する、共役ジエン系ゴムであり、A中のA1の割合が25質量%以上であり、Cが3-オクタノイルチオ-1-プロピルトリエトキシシラン又は特定の平均組成式で表されるポリシロキサンである。

Description

タイヤ用ゴム組成物及びタイヤ
 本発明は、タイヤ用ゴム組成物及びタイヤに関する。
 従来、性能向上の観点からシリカを配合したタイヤ用ゴム組成物が知られている(例えば、特許文献1)。

 昨今、安全性等の観点から、タイヤに対して、ウェット性能、スノー性能、耐摩耗性等のさらなる向上が求められている。また、タイヤを製造するためのタイヤ用ゴム組成物に対しては、混合加工性や押出加工性のさらなる向上も求められている。
 このようななか、本発明者らが特許文献1等に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物について検討したところ、今後高まるであろう要求を考慮すると、さらなる改善が望ましいことが明らかになった。
 そこで、本発明は、上記実情を鑑みて、優れた加工性を示すとともに、タイヤにしたときに優れた転がり性能、ウェット性能、耐摩耗性及び耐チッピング性を示すタイヤ用ゴム組成物、並びに、上記タイヤ用ゴム組成物を用いて製造されたタイヤを提供することを目的とする。
 本発明者は、上記課題について鋭意検討した結果、ゴム成分として特定の変性共役ジエン系ゴムを使用するとともに、特定のシランカップリング剤を使用することで、上記課題が解決できることを見出し、本発明に至った。
 すなわち、本発明者は、以下の構成により上記課題が解決できることを見出した。
(1) 変性共役ジエン系ゴム(A1)を含むゴム成分(A)と、シリカ(B)と、シランカップリング剤(C)とを含有し、
 上記変性共役ジエン系ゴム(A1)が、下記式(1)~(3)を満たし、且つ、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を含む変性基を有する、共役ジエン系ゴムであり、
 上記ゴム成分(A)中の上記変性共役ジエン系ゴム(A1)の割合が、25質量%以上であり、
 上記シランカップリング剤(C)が、3-オクタノイルチオ-1-プロピルトリエトキシシラン、又は、下記式(C2)の平均組成式で表されるポリシロキサンである、タイヤ用ゴム組成物。

 式(1)及び(3)中のMw10%及びIVw10%については以下のとおりである。
 変性共役ジエン系ゴムについて示差屈折率検出器及び粘度検出器を検出器とするゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー測定を行う。示差屈折率検出器によるクロマトグラムのピークのうち、ピーク全体の面積の10%の面積となる高分子量側の部分を用いて求められた重量平均分子量をMw10%とする。また、粘度検出器によるクロマトグラムのピークのうち、ピーク全体の面積の10%の面積となる高分子量側の部分を用いて求められた重量平均固有粘度をIVw10%とする。ただし、重量平均固有粘度の単位はdL/gである。
 式(2)中、Stは、変性共役ジエン系ゴム全体に対するスチレンに由来する繰り返し単位の割合(質量%)を表し、Vnは、変性共役ジエン系ゴム全体に対する共役ジエンに由来する1,2-ビニル構造の繰り返し単位の割合(質量%)を表す。

 式(C2)中、Aはスルフィド基を含有する2価の有機基を表す。Bは炭素数5~10の1価の炭化水素基を表す。Cは加水分解性基を表す。Dはメルカプト基を含有する有機基を表す。Rは炭素数1~4の1価の炭化水素基を表す。a~eは、0≦a<1、0<b<1、0<c<3、0<d<1、0≦e<2、0<2a+b+c+d+e<4の関係式を満たす。
(2) 上記変性共役ジエン系ゴム(A1)が、
 3分岐以上の星形構造を有し、上記星形構造の少なくとも1つの分岐鎖がアルコキシシリル基又はハロシリル基を含むビニル系単量体に由来する部分を有し、
 上記部分において、さらなる主鎖分岐構造を有する、上記(1)に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
(3) 上記シリカを含む補強性充填剤の含有量が、上記ゴム成分(A)100質量部に対して、50質量部以上である、上記(1)又は(2)に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
(4) さらに、熱可塑性樹脂(D)を含有する、上記(1)~(3)のいずれかに記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
(5) 上記熱可塑性樹脂(D)が、テルペン系樹脂、C5/C9系樹脂、C9系樹脂、DCPD系樹脂、DCPD/C9系樹脂、水添C5/C9系樹脂、水添C9系樹脂、水添DCPD系樹脂、及び、水添DCPD/C9系樹脂からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種を含み、
 上記熱可塑性樹脂(D)の含有量が、上記ゴム成分(A)100質量部に対して、5質量部以上50質量部以下である、上記(4)に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
(6) 上記熱可塑性樹脂(D)が、テルペン系樹脂、C5/C9系樹脂、C9系樹脂、DCPD系樹脂、DCPD/C9系樹脂、水添C5/C9系樹脂、水添C9系樹脂、水添DCPD系樹脂、及び、水添DCPD/C9系樹脂からなる群より選択される少なくとも2種を含み、
 上記熱可塑性樹脂(D)の合計の含有量が、上記ゴム成分(A)100質量部に対して、50質量部以下である、上記(4)又は(5)に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
(7) 上記(1)~(6)のいずれかに記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物を用いて製造された、タイヤ。
 以下に示すように、本発明によれば、優れた加工性を示すとともに、タイヤにしたときに優れた転がり性能、ウェット性能、耐摩耗性及び耐チッピング性を示すタイヤ用ゴム組成物、並びに、上記タイヤ用ゴム組成物を用いて製造されたタイヤを提供することができる。

 以下に、本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物等について説明する。
 なお、本明細書において「~」を用いて表される数値範囲は、「~」の前後に記載される数値を下限値及び上限値として含む範囲を意味する。
 また、各成分は、1種を単独でも用いても、2種以上を併用してもよい。ここで、各成分について2種以上を併用する場合、その成分について含有量とは、特段の断りが無い限り、合計の含有量を指す。
 また、タイヤ用ゴム組成物について、タイヤにしたときの、転がり性能、ウェット性能、耐摩耗性、耐チッピング性をそれぞれ単に「転がり性能」、「ウェット性能」、「耐摩耗性」、「耐チッピング性」とも言う。
 また、本明細書において、10のべき乗をEで表すことがある。例えば、E+5は10の5乗を表す。
[I]タイヤ用ゴム組成物
 本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物(以下、「本発明の組成物」とも言う)は、
 変性共役ジエン系ゴム(A1)を含むゴム成分(A)と、シリカ(B)と、シランカップリング剤(C)とを含有し、
 上記変性共役ジエン系ゴム(A1)が、後述する式(1)~(3)を満たし、且つ、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を含む変性基を有する、共役ジエン系ゴムであり、
 上記ゴム成分(A)中の上記変性共役ジエン系ゴム(A1)の割合が、25質量%以上であり、
 上記シランカップリング剤(C)が、3-オクタノイルチオ-1-プロピルトリエトキシシラン、又は、後述する式(C2)の平均組成式で表されるポリシロキサンである、タイヤ用ゴム組成物である。
 本発明の組成物はこのような構成をとるため、上述した課題を解決できるものと考えられる。その理由は明らかではないが、およそ以下のとおりと推測している。
 本発明の組成物にはゴム成分として、後述する式(1)~(3)を満たし、且つ、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を含む変性基(以下、「特定変性基」とも言う)を有する、共役ジエン系ゴム(以下、「特定共役ジエン系ゴム」とも言う)が含まれる。式(1)は高分子量側の重量平均固有粘度と高分子量側の重量平均分子量との関係を規定するものであり、本発明者らの検討から、式(1)及び式(3)を満たすゴムは加工性に極めて優れることが知見されている。また、特定共役ジエン系ゴムが有する特定変性基はシリカと相互作用するものと考えられる。また、本発明の組成物が含有する特定のシランカップリング剤は上記特定変性基とともにシリカと相互作用し、さらには特定共役ジエン系ゴムの骨格やその他のゴム成分とも相互作用する。そのため、本発明の組成物において、シリカの分散性は極めて高く、このことは優れた効果(転がり性能、ウェット性能、耐摩耗性、耐チッピング性)に繋がるものと考えられる。
 以下、本発明の組成物に含有される各成分について説明する。
[1]ゴム成分
 本発明の組成物は特定共役ジエン系ゴムを含むゴム成分を含有する。
 本発明の組成物は特定共役ジエン系ゴム以外のゴム成分を含んでいてもよい。
[特定共役ジエン系ゴム]
 特定共役ジエン系ゴムは、後述する式(1)及び後述する式(2)を満たし、且つ、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を含む変性基(特定変性基)を有する、共役ジエン系ゴムである。
〔骨格〕
 特定共役ジエン系ゴムの骨格は、共役ジエンに由来する繰り返し単位を有する重合体である。
<共役ジエン>
 共役ジエンの具体例としては、ブタジエン(特に1,3-ブタジエン)、イソプレン、クロロプレン等が挙げられる。上記ジエンは、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、ブタジエン(特に1,3-ブタジエン)又はイソプレンであることが好ましく、ブタジエン(特に1,3-ブタジエン)であることがより好ましい。
<その他のモノマー>
 特定共役ジエン系ゴムの骨格は、共役ジエンに由来する繰り返し単位以外の繰り返し単位を有していてもよい。そのような繰り返し単位となるモノマー(その他のモノマー)としては、例えば、ビニル系単量体、アルケン(例えば、エチレン、プロピレン、ブテン)等が挙げられる。ビニル系単量体としては、芳香族ビニル(例えば、スチレン)、アクリロニトリル、後述する特定分岐化剤、等が挙げられる。
<具体例>
 骨格の具体例としては、天然ゴム(NR)、ブタジエンゴム(BR)、芳香族ビニル-共役ジエン共重合ゴム、イソプレンゴム(IR)、アクリロニトリル-ブタジエン共重合ゴム(NBR)、ブチルゴム(IIR)、ハロゲン化ブチルゴム(Br-IIR、Cl-IIR)、クロロプレンゴム(CR)などが挙げられる。上記芳香族ビニル-共役ジエン共重合ゴムとしては、スチレンブタジエンゴム(SBR)、スチレンイソプレン共重合ゴムなどが挙げられる。
 上記共役ジエン系ゴムは、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、SBRであることが好ましい。
〔特定変性基〕
 上述のとおり、特定共役ジエン系ゴムは、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれ(ケイ素原子)に隣接する酸素原子を含む変性基(特定変性基)を有する。
 特定変性基は、共役ジエン系ゴムの末端、主鎖、側鎖いずれに有するのでもよい。
 特定変性基は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を、アルコキシシリル基として含むのが好ましい。なお、アルコキシシリル基は、-Si(OR1)(R2)3-n(ここで、R1:アルキル基、R2:水素原子又はアルキル基、n:1~3の整数)で表される基である。
 特定変性基は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、窒素原子を、アミノ基(1~3級アミノ基)として含むのが好ましい。
 特定変性基は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、後述する特定変性剤に由来する基であることが好ましい。
〔式(1)〕
 特定共役ジエン系ゴムは、下記式(1)を満たす。
 式(1)は高分子量側の重量平均固有粘度と高分子量側の重量平均分子量との関係を規定したものであり、分岐を有する等、分子量の割に分子の大きさが小さい重合体が式(1)を満たす傾向にある。なお、高分子量側に限定している理由は、重合体全体の物性に与える影響が大きいためである。

 式(1)中のMw10%及びIVw10%は以下のようにして求められる。
 変性共役ジエン系ゴムについて示差屈折率検出器(RI検出器)及び粘度検出器を検出器とするゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー測定を行う。示差屈折率検出器によるクロマトグラムのピークのうち、ピーク全体の面積の10%の面積となる高分子量側の部分を用いて求められた重量平均分子量をMw10%とする。また、粘度検出器によるクロマトグラムのピークのうち、ピーク全体の面積の10%の面積となる高分子量側の部分を用いて求められた重量平均固有粘度をIVw10%とする。ただし、重量平均固有粘度の単位はdL/gである。
 以下、式(1)中のMw10%及びIVw10%について、より具体的に説明する。
 上述のとおり、変性共役ジエン系ゴムについて示差屈折率検出器及び粘度検出器を検出器とするゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(GPC)測定を行う。GPC測定の具体的な方法は以下のとおりである。
 溶離液として5mmol/Lのトリエチルアミン入りトルエンを使用する。カラムは、ポリスチレンゲルを充填剤としたカラム3本(東ソー社製の商品名「TSKgel G4000HXL」、「TSKgel G5000HXL」、及び「TSKgel G6000HXL」)を連結して使用する。測定用の試料を1mg/mLの濃度となるようにトルエンに溶解して測定溶液とし、測定溶液100μLをGPC測定装置に注入して、オーブン温度40℃、トルエン流量1mL/分の条件で測定する。
 示差屈折率検出器によるクロマトグラム(横軸:溶出時間、縦軸:信号強度)のピーク(変性共役ジエン系ゴムに由来するピーク)のうち、ピーク全体の面積の10%の面積となる高分子量側(溶出時間が短い方)の部分を用いて、重量平均分子量を求める。得られた重量平均分子量をMw10%とする。
 また、粘度検出器によるクロマトグラム(横軸:溶出時間、縦軸:信号強度)のピーク(変性共役ジエン系ゴムに由来するピーク)のうち、ピーク全体の面積の10%の面積となる高分子量側(溶出時間が短い方)の部分を用いて、重量平均固有粘度を求める。得られた重量平均固有粘度をIVw10%とする。
 なお、重量平均固有粘度とは、分子量Miにおける、分子数をNi、固有粘度をηiとすると、(Σ(ηi×Mi×Ni))/(Σ(Mi×Ni))と定義されるものである。
 なお、図1にGPCのクロマトグラム(横軸:溶出時間、縦軸:信号強度)の一例を示す。ピーク全体であるP0の面積の10%の面積となる高分子量側(溶出時間が短い方)の部分であるP1を用いてMw10%及びIVw10%を求める。
 変性共役ジエン系ゴムが式(1)を満たすようにするための方法としては、例えば、後述する本発明の製造方法において、特定変性剤の種類や使用量、特定分岐化剤の種類や使用量を変更する方法等が挙げられる。
 Mw10%は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、100,000~10,000,000であることが好ましく、1,000,000~5,000,000であることがより好ましい。
〔式(2)〕
 特定共役ジエン系ゴムは、下記式(2)を満たす。
  St+Vn≦50 (2)
 式(2)中、Stは、特定共役ジエン系ゴム全体に対するスチレンに由来する繰り返し単位の割合(質量%)(以下、「スチレン量」とも言う)を表し、Vnは、特定共役ジエン系ゴム全体に対する共役ジエン(例えば、ブタジエン)に由来する1,2-ビニル構造の繰り返し単位の割合(質量%)(以下、「ビニル量」とも言う)を表す。
 St+Vnは、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、10~45であることが好ましく、25~45であることがより好ましい。
 Stは、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、5~40であることが好ましく、10~35であることがより好ましく、15~30であることがさらに好ましい。
 Vnは、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、5~30であることが好ましく、10~20であることがより好ましい。
〔式(3)〕
 特定共役ジエン系ゴムは、下記式(3)を満たす。
  IVw10%<4.7(3)
 IVw10%の求め方は上述のとおりである。
 IVw10%は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、1~4.6であることが好ましく、2~4.4であることがより好ましい。
〔分子量〕
 特定共役ジエン系ゴムの重量平均分子量(Mw)は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、100,000~2,000,000であることが好ましく、200,000~1,300,000であることがより好ましい。
 なお、特定共役ジエン系ゴムの重量平均分子量(Mw)の測定方法は、ピーク全体を用いる点以外、上述したMw10%と同じである。
〔ガラス転移温度〕
 特定共役ジエン系ゴムのガラス転移温度(Tg)は特に制限されないが、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、-100℃~-30℃であることが好ましく、-80℃~-45℃であることがより好ましい。
 ガラス転移温度は、例えば、スチレン量やビニル量によって調節することができる。
 なお、本明細書において、ガラス転移温度(Tg)は、示差走査熱量計(DSC)を用いて10℃/分の昇温速度で測定し、中点法にて算出したものとする。
〔好適な態様1〕
 特定共役ジエン系ゴムは、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、3分岐以上の星形構造を有するのが好ましく、特定変性基を分岐点とする3分岐以上の星形構造を有するのがより好ましく、下記式(A)で表される共役ジエン系ゴムであることがさらに好ましい。
 式(A)中、Xは、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を含むn価の基(特定変性基)を表し、Pは、共役ジエン系重合体鎖を表し、nは、3以上の整数を表す。
 上述のとおり、Xは、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を含むn価の基(特定変性基)を表す。
 Xは、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を、アルコキシシリル基として含むのが好ましい。
 Xは、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、窒素原子を、アミノ基として含むのが好ましい。
 上述のとおり、Pは、共役ジエン系重合体鎖を表す。複数存在するPは同一でも異なってもよい。
 共役ジエン系重合体鎖の定義、具体例及び好適な態様は上述した特定共役ジエン系ゴムの骨格と同じである。
 上述のとおり、nは、3以上の整数を表す。nの上限は特に制限されないが、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、30以下であることが好ましい。
〔好適な態様2〕
 特定共役ジエン系ゴムが3分岐以上の星形構造を有する場合、上記星形構造の少なくとも1つの分岐鎖(共役ジエン系重合体鎖)は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、後述する特定分岐化剤に由来する部分を有し、上記部分において、さらなる主鎖分岐構造を有するのが好ましい。
 なお、主鎖分岐構造とは、分岐鎖(共役ジエン系重合体鎖)がアルコキシシリル基又はハロシリル基を含むビニル系単量体に由来する部分で分岐点を形成し、さらにその分岐点から高分子鎖(例えば、別の共役ジエン系重合体鎖)が伸長している構造をいう。
〔含有量〕
 ゴム成分中の特定共役ジエン系ゴムの割合は、25質量%以上である。
 上記割合は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、30質量%以上であることが好ましく、40質量%以上であることがより好ましく、50質量%以上であることがさらに好ましい。
 上記割合の上限は特に制限されず、100質量%である。
[特定共役ジエン系ゴムの製造方法]
 特定共役ジエン系ゴムの製造方法は特に制限されないが、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、下記(1)~(2)の工程を備える方法(以下、「本発明の製造方法」とも言う)が好ましい。
(1)共役ジエンを含むモノマーをアニオン重合によって重合することで、共役ジエン系重合体を得る、重合工程
(2)重合工程で得られた共役ジエン系重合体と、窒素原子とアルコキシシリル基とを含む化合物(以下、「特定変性剤」とも言う)とを反応させることで、特定変性基を有する共役ジエン系ゴムを得る、変性工程
〔重合工程〕
 重合工程は、共役ジエンを含むモノマーをアニオン重合によって重合することで、共役ジエン系重合体を得る工程である。
<アニオン重合>
 アニオン重合は特に制限されないが、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、開始剤として有機リチウム化合物を用いたアニオン重合であることが好ましい。
 有機リチウム化合物は特に制限されないが、その具体例としては、n-ブチルリチウム(n-BuLi)、sec-ブチルリチウム、tert-ブチルリチウム、n-プロピルリチウム、iso-プロピルリチウム、ベンジルリチウム等のモノ有機リチウム化合物;1,4-ジリチオブタン、1,5-ジリチオペンタン、1,6-ジリチオヘキサン、1,10-ジリチオデカン、1,1-ジリチオジフェニレン、ジリチオポリブタジエン、ジリチオポリイソプレン、1,4-ジリチオベンゼン、1,2-ジリチオ-1,2-ジフェニルエタン、1,4-ジリチオ-2-エチルシクロヘキサン、1,3,5-トリリチオベンゼン、1,3,5-トリリチオ-2,4,6-トリエチルベンゼン等の多官能性有機リチウム化合物が挙げられる。なかでも、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、n-ブチルリチウム、sec-ブチルリチウム、tert-ブチルリチウムのモノ有機リチウム化合物が好ましく、n-ブチルリチウムがより好ましい。
 有機リチウム化合物の使用量は特に制限されないが、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、モノマーに対して、0.001~10モル%であることが好ましい。
<モノマー>
 重合工程で用いられる共役ジエンを含むモノマーの具体例及び好適な態様は、上述した特定共役ジエン系ゴムの骨格の共役ジエン及びその他のモノマーと同じである。
(特定分岐化剤)
 モノマーは、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、アルコキシシリル基又はハロシリル基を含むビニル系単量体(以下、「特定分岐化剤」とも言う)を含むのが好ましい。
 特定分岐化剤は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、アルコキシシリル基又はハロシリル基を含む芳香族ビニル(特にスチレン)であることが好ましく、アルコキシシリル基を含む芳香族ビニルであることがより好ましく、トリアルコキシシリル基を含む芳香族ビニルであることがさらに好ましい。
(1)具体例
 アルコキシシリル基を含む芳香族ビニルの具体例としては、1-(トリメトキシシリル)-4-ビニルベンゼン、1,1-ビス(4-トリメトキシシリルフェニル)エチレン等が挙げられる。
 また、ハロシリル基を含む芳香族ビニルとしては、トリクロロ(4-ビニルフェニル)シラン、1,1-ビス(4-トリクロロシリルフェニル)エチレン等が挙げられる。
(2)使用量
 特定分岐化剤の使用量は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、共役ジエンに対して、0.001~0.1質量%であることが好ましく、0.005~0.05質量%であることがより好ましい。
<極性化合物>
 重合工程においては、極性化合物を添加してもよい。これにより、モノマーをランダムに共重合させることができる。また、極性化合物は、共役ジエンのミクロ構造を制御するためのビニル化剤としても用いることができる傾向にある。また、重合反応の促進等にも効果がある傾向にある。
 極性化合物としては、例えば、テトラヒドロフラン、ジエチルエーテル、ジオキサン、ジメトキシベンゼン、2,2-ビス(2-オキソラニル)プロパン等のエーテル類;テトラメチルエチレンジアミン、ジピペリジノエタン、トリメチルアミン、トリエチルアミン、ピリジン、キヌクリジン等の第3級アミン化合物;カリウム-tert-アミラート、ナトリウム-tert-ブチラート等のアルカリ金属アルコキシド化合物;トリフェニルホスフィン等のホスフィン化合物等を用いることができる。
 これらの極性化合物は、1種単独で用いてもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。
(使用量)
 極性化合物の使用量は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、開始剤1モルに対して、0.01モル以上100モル以下であることが好ましい。
〔変性工程〕
 変性工程は、重合工程で得られた共役ジエン系重合体と、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を含む変性剤(特定変性剤)とを反応させることで、特定変性基を有する共役ジエン系ゴムを得る工程である。
 変性工程では、重合工程で得られた共役ジエン系重合体の活性末端が特定変性剤のケイ素原子に結合するものと考えられる。例えば、特定変性剤がアルコキシシリル基を含む場合、上記活性末端はアルコキシシリル基のケイ素原子に結合し、アルコキシ基が脱離すると考えられる。
 また、重合工程で得られた共役ジエン系重合体が特定分岐化剤に由来する部分を有する場合、上述した活性末端に加えて、上記部分のアルコキシシリル基又はハロシリル基も特定変性剤(例えば、アルコキシシリル基)と反応するものと考えられる。また、上記部分のアルコキシシリル基又はハロシリル基は、別の共役ジエン系重合体の活性末端とも反応するものと考えられる。結果として、特定分岐化剤に由来する部分を有する共役ジエン系重合体は、上記部分において、主鎖分岐構造(別の共役ジエン系重合体鎖)を有することになる。
<特定変性剤>
 特定変性剤は、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を含む化合物である。
 特定変性剤は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を、アルコキシシリル基(特に、トリアルコキシシリル基)、又は、シラザン構造(特に環状シラザン構造)を含む基であってシラザン構造のケイ素原子にアルコキシ基が結合した基として含むのが好ましい。ここで、シラザン構造とは、ケイ素原子と窒素原子とが直接結合した構造(Si-N結合を有する構造)を意図する。
 特定変性剤は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、窒素原子を、アミノ基(1~3級アミノ基)、又は、シラザン構造(特に環状シラザン構造)を含む基として含むのが好ましい。
 特定変性剤は、アルコキシシリル基等の活性末端と反応し得る部位を2以上(好ましくは3以上)有するのが好ましい。特定変性剤が上記部位を複数有する場合、特定変性剤は共役ジエン系重合体同士を繋ぐカップリング剤として機能する。
(具体例)
 特定変性剤の具体例としては、トリス(3-トリメトキシシリルプロピル)アミン、テトラキス(3-トリメトキシシリルプロピル)-1,3-プロパンジアミン等のアルコキシシリル基を有する3級アミン、2,2-ジメトキシ-1-(3-トリメトキシシリルプロピル)-1-アザ-2-シラシクロペンタン等のアルコキシシリル基を有する環状シラザン、トリス[3-(2,2-ジメトキシ-1-アザ-2-シラシクロペンタン)プロピル]アミン、テトラキス[3-(2,2-ジメトキシ-1-アザ-2-シラシクロペンタン)プロピル]-1,3-プロパンジアミン等のアルコキシシリル基含有環状シラザン構造を含む基を有する3級アミン、ビス(3-トリメトキシシリルプロピル)-[3-(2,2-ジメトキシ-1-アザ-2-シラシクロペンタン)プロピル]アミン、ビス[3-(2,2-ジメトキシ-1-アザ-2-シラシクロペンタン)プロピル]-(3-トリメトキシシリルプロピル)アミン、トリス(3-トリメトキシシリルプロピル)-[3-(2,2-ジメトキシ-1-アザ-2-シラシクロペンタン)プロピル]-1,3-プロパンジアミン、ビス(3-トリメトキシシリルプロピル)-[3-(2,2-ジメトキシ-1-アザ-2-シラシクロペンタン)プロピル]-[3-(1-メトキシ-2-トリメチルシリル-1-シラ-2-アザシクロペンタン)プロピル]-1,3-プロパンジアミン、ビス(2-トリメトキシシリルプロピル)-[3-(2,2-ジメトキシ-1-アザ-2-シラシクロペンタン)プロピル]-メチル-1,3-プロパンジアミン等のアルコキシシリル基と環状シラザン構造を含む基とを有する3級アミン、等が挙げられる。
(使用量)
 特定変性剤の使用量は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、共役ジエンに対し、0.01~1質量%であることが好ましく、0.02~0.2質量%であることがより好ましい。
〔その他の工程〕
 本発明の製造方法は、上述した工程以外の工程(その他の工程)を備えていてもよい。
 その他の工程としては、重合停止剤(例えば、メタノール)を添加する重合停止工程、スチームストリッピングにより溶媒を除去する溶媒除去工程、等が挙げられる。
[その他のゴム成分]
 ゴム成分は、特定共役ジエン系ゴム以外のゴム成分(ゴム成分)を含有していてもよい。そのようなその他のゴム成分としては、天然ゴム(NR)、ブタジエンゴム(BR)、芳香族ビニル-共役ジエン共重合ゴム、イソプレンゴム(IR)、アクリロニトリル-ブタジエン共重合ゴム(NBR)、ブチルゴム(IIR)、ハロゲン化ブチルゴム(Br-IIR、Cl-IIR)、クロロプレンゴム(CR)などが挙げられる。上記芳香族ビニル-共役ジエン共重合ゴムとしては、スチレンブタジエンゴム(SBR)、スチレンイソプレン共重合ゴムなどが挙げられる。
 ゴム成分は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、SBRを含むのが好ましい。ゴム成分がSBRを含む場合、ゴム成分中のSBRの割合は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、1~30質量%であることが好ましく、5~20質量%であることがより好ましい。
 ゴム成分は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、BRを含むのが好ましい。ゴム成分がBRを含む場合、ゴム成分中のBRの割合は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、1~30質量%であることが好ましく、5~20質量%であることがより好ましい。
 ゴム成分は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、天然ゴムを含むのが好ましい。ゴム成分が天然ゴムを含む場合、ゴム成分中の天然ゴムの割合は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、1~30質量%であることが好ましく、5~20質量%であることがより好ましい。
[平均Tg]
 ゴム成分全体のガラス転移温度(以下、「平均Tg」とも言う)は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、-80℃超-45℃以下であることが好ましく、-75℃以上-45℃以下であることがより好ましい。
 なお、ゴム成分の平均Tgとは、各ゴム成分のガラス転移温度(Tg)に各ゴム成分の質量分率を乗じた合計(ガラス転移温度の加重平均値)である。
[分子量]
 ゴム成分の重量平均分子量(Mw)の好適な態様は、上述した特定共役ジエン系ゴムと同じである。
[2]シリカ
 本発明の組成物はシリカを含有する。
 シリカは特に制限されず、従来公知の任意のシリカを用いることができる。
 シリカとしては、例えば、湿式シリカ、乾式シリカ、ヒュームドシリカ、珪藻土などが挙げられる。もみ殻等、バイオマス由来のシリカを使用してもよい。上記シリカは、1種のシリカを単独で用いても、2種以上のシリカを併用してもよい。
[CTAB]
 シリカのセチルトリメチルアンモニウムブロマイド(CTAB)吸着比表面積(以下、「CTAB吸着比表面積」を単に「CTAB」とも言う)は特に制限されないが、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、100~300m/gであることが好ましく、150~200m/gであることがより好ましい。
 ここで、CTAB吸着比表面積は、JIS K6430:2008 附属書Gに従って測定した値である。
[含有量]
 本発明の組成物において、シリカの含有量は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、上述したゴム成分100質量部に対して、30~150質量部であることが好ましく、50~100質量部であることがより好ましい。
[3]特定シランカップリング剤
 本発明の組成物は、3-オクタノイルチオ-1-プロピルトリエトキシシラン、又は、後述する式(C2)の平均組成式で表されるポリシロキサン(以下、まとめて「特定シランカップリング剤」とも言う)を含有する。
[3-オクタノイルチオ-1-プロピルトリエトキシシラン]
 3-オクタノイルチオ-1-プロピルトリエトキシシランは以下の構造式で表される化合物である。
[特定ポリシロキサン]
 以下、式(C2)の平均組成式で表されるポリシロキサン(以下、「特定ポリシロキサン」とも言う)について説明する。
 特定ポリシロキサンは下記式(C2)の平均組成式で表されるポリシロキサンである。
  (A)(B)(C)(D)(RSiO(4-2a-b-c-d-e)/2   (C2)
 上記式(C2)中、Aはスルフィド基を含有する2価の有機基を表す。Bは炭素数5~10の1価の炭化水素基を表す。Cは加水分解性基を表す。Dはメルカプト基を含有する有機基を表す。Rは炭素数1~4の1価の炭化水素基を表す。a~eは、0≦a<1、0<b<1、0<c<3、0<d<1、0≦e<2、0<2a+b+c+d+e<4の関係式を満たす。
 式(C2)は、ポリシロキサンの平均組成を表す。すなわち、ポリシロキサンのSi原子に直接結合する基の種類、及び、各基の平均の数を表す。
 式(C2)中のSiはポリシロキサンのSi原子を表す。また、式(C2)中のOはポリシロキサンのO原子を表す。なお、O原子は2価の基であり、必ず2つのSi原子(ポリシロキサンのSi原子)に結合する。式(C2)中の(4-2a-b-c-d-e)/2は、ポリシロキサンのSi原子にポリシロキサンのO原子が結合する平均の数を表す。
 式(C2)中のA、B、C、D及びRはいずれもポリシロキサンのSi原子に結合する基を表す。なお、Aは2価の基であり、必ず2つのSi原子(ポリシロキサンのSi原子)に結合する。式(C2)中のa、b、c、d及びeはそれぞれポリシロキサンのSi原子に結合するA、B、C、D及びRの平均の数を表す。
 ポリシロキサンのSi原子に直接結合する各基の合計(a×2+b+c+d+e+((4-2a-b-c-d-e)/2)×2)が4(Si原子の価数)になることから分かるように、ポリシロキサンのSi原子には、A、B、C、D、R及びO以外の基は直接結合しない。なお、上記合計の計算において、a及び(4-2a-b-c-d-e)/2)を2倍にするのは、A及びOが2価の基であるからである。
 特定ポリシロキサン及びその製造方法の具体例及び好適な態様は、特開2019-156918号公報の段落[0038]~[0070]、国際公開第2014/129664号の段落[0020]~[0050]及び米国特許出願公開第2016/0002433号明細書の段落[0046]~[0099]に記載のとおりであり、該記載は参照により援用される。
[含有量]
 本発明の組成物において、特定シランカップリング剤の含有量は特に制限されないが、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、上述したゴム成分100質量部に対して、2~20質量部であることが好ましく、5~15質量部であることがより好ましい。
 また、本発明の組成物において、特定シランカップリング剤の含有量は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、上述したシリカの含有量に対して、1~20質量%であることが好ましく、5~15質量%であることがより好ましい。
 また、本発明の組成物において、特定シランカップリング剤の含有量は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、上述した特定共役ジエン系ゴムの含有量に対して、10~30質量%であることが好ましい。
[4]任意成分
 本発明の組成物は、必要に応じて、上述した成分以外の成分(任意成分)を含有してもよい。
 そのような成分としては、例えば、シリカ以外の補強性充填剤(好ましくは、カーボンブラック)、特定シランカップリング剤以外のシランカップリング剤、熱膨張性マイクロカプセル、酸化亜鉛(亜鉛華)、ステアリン酸、老化防止剤、ワックス、加工助剤、液状ポリマー、熱可塑性樹脂、熱硬化性樹脂、加硫剤(例えば、硫黄)、加硫促進剤(促進剤)、加硫活性剤などのゴム組成物に一般的に使用される各種添加剤などが挙げられる。
[熱可塑性樹脂]
 本発明の組成物は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、熱可塑性樹脂を含有するのが好ましい。
 本発明の組成物は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、熱可塑性樹脂を2種以上含有するのが好ましい。
〔具体例〕
 熱可塑性樹脂としては、例えば、クマロン系樹脂(例えば、クマロン樹脂、クマロン・インデン樹脂、クマロン・インデン・スチレン樹脂)、フェノール系樹脂(例えば、フェノール樹脂、フェノール・アセチレン樹脂、フェノール・ホルムアルデヒド樹脂)、キシレン系樹脂(例えば、キシレン樹脂、キシレン・アセチレン樹脂、キシレン・ホルムアルデヒド樹脂)、ロジン系樹脂(例えば、ロジン、ロジンエステル、水素添加ロジン誘導体)、テルペン系樹脂(例えば、テルペン樹脂、変性テルペン樹脂(芳香族変性テルペン樹脂等)、テルペンフェノール樹脂、水添テルペン樹脂、α-ピネン樹脂、β-ピネン樹脂、リモネン樹脂、水添リモネン樹脂、ジペンテン樹脂、テルペンスチレン樹脂)、スチレン系樹脂、石油系樹脂(例えば、C5/C9系樹脂、C9系樹脂、DCPD(ジシクロペンタジエン)系樹脂、DCPD/C9系樹脂、水添C5/C9系樹脂、水添C9系樹脂、水添DCPD系樹脂、水添DCPD/C9系樹脂)、脂肪族飽和炭化水素系樹脂等が挙げられる。
 熱可塑性樹脂は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、テルペン系樹脂、C5/C9系樹脂、C9系樹脂、DCPD系樹脂、DCPD/C9系樹脂、水添C5/C9系樹脂、水添C9系樹脂、水添DCPD系樹脂、及び、水添DCPD/C9系樹脂からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種を含有するのが好ましく、上記群より選択される少なくとも2種を含有するのがより好ましい。
〔含有量〕
 本発明の組成物において、熱可塑性樹脂の含有量は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、上述したゴム成分100質量部に対して、1~100質量部であることが好ましく、5~50質量部であることがより好ましい。
 また、本発明の組成物において、熱可塑性樹脂の含有量は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、上述した特定共役ジエン系ゴムに対して、5~100質量%であることが好ましく、20~90質量%であることがより好ましく、30~60質量%であることがさらに好ましい。
[カーボンブラック]
 本発明の組成物は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、カーボンブラックを含有するのが好ましい。上記カーボンブラックは、1種のカーボンブラックを単独で用いても、2種以上のカーボンブラックを併用してもよい。
 上記カーボンブラックは特に限定されず、例えば、SAF-HS、SAF、ISAF-HS、ISAF、ISAF-LS、IISAF-HS、HAF-HS、HAF、HAF-LS、FEF、GPF、SRF等の各種グレードのものを使用することができる。
〔NSA〕
 上記カーボンブラックの窒素吸着比表面積(NSA)は特に制限されないが、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、50~200m/gであることが好ましく、70~150m/gであることがより好ましい。
 ここで、窒素吸着比表面積(N2SA)は、カーボンブラック表面への窒素吸着量をJIS K6217-2:2001「第2部:比表面積の求め方-窒素吸着法-単点法」にしたがって測定した値である。
〔含有量〕
 本発明の組成物において、カーボンブラックの含有量は特に制限されないが、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、上述したゴム成分100質量部に対して、1~100質量部であることが好ましく、2~30質量部であることがより好ましい。
[補強性充填剤]
 本発明の組成物において、上述したシリカを含む補強性充填剤の含有量は、本発明の効果がより優れる理由から、上述したゴム成分100質量部に対して、50質量部以上であることが好ましく、60~200質量部であることがより好ましく、70~150質量部であることがさらに好ましい。なお、上述したカーボンブラックは補強性充填剤に含まれる。
[5]タイヤ用ゴム組成物の調製方法
 本発明の組成物の製造方法は特に限定されず、その具体例としては、例えば、上述した各成分を、公知の方法、装置(例えば、バンバリーミキサー、ニーダー、ロールなど)を用いて、混練する方法などが挙げられる。本発明の組成物が硫黄又は加硫促進剤を含有する場合は、硫黄及び加硫促進剤以外の成分を先に高温(好ましくは100~160℃)で混合し、冷却してから、硫黄又は加硫促進剤を混合するのが好ましい。
 また、本発明の組成物は、従来公知の加硫または架橋条件で加硫または架橋することができる。
[II]タイヤ
 本発明のタイヤは、上述した本発明の組成物を用いて製造されたタイヤである。本発明のタイヤは、空気入りタイヤであることが好ましく、空気、窒素等の不活性ガス及びその他の気体を充填することができる。
 図2に、本発明のタイヤの実施態様の一例を表すタイヤの部分断面概略図を示す。ただし、本発明のタイヤは図2に示す態様に限定されるものではない。
 図2において、符号1はビード部を表し、符号2はサイドウォール部を表し、符号3はタイヤトレッド部を表す。
 また、左右一対のビード部1間においては、繊維コードが埋設されたカーカス層4が装架されており、このカーカス層4の端部はビードコア5及びビードフィラー6の廻りにタイヤ内側から外側に折り返されて巻き上げられている。
 また、タイヤトレッド部3においては、カーカス層4の外側に、ベルト層7がタイヤ1周に亘って配置されている。
 また、ビード部1においては、リムに接する部分にリムクッション8が配置されている。
 なお、符号2~3、5~6及び8の少なくともいずれか(好ましくは符号3)は上述した本発明の組成物により形成されている。
 本発明のタイヤは、例えば、従来公知の方法に従って製造することができる。また、タイヤに充填する気体としては、通常のまたは酸素分圧を調整した空気の他、窒素、アルゴン、ヘリウムなどの不活性ガスを用いることができる。
 以下、実施例により、本発明についてさらに詳細に説明するが、本発明はこれらに限定されるものではない。
[共役ジエン系ゴムの合成]
 以下のとおり、各共役ジエン系ゴムを合成した。
〔共役ジエン系ゴム1〕
<重合工程>
 攪拌機付きオートクレーブに、窒素雰囲気下、シクロヘキサン1000g/h(時間)、テトラメチルエチレンジアミン0.028g/h、1,3-ブタジエン189.4g/h、1-ブテン0.436g/h、及びスチレン10.6g/hで仕込んだ後、n-ブチルリチウムを1.43mmol/hで連続的に加え、70℃で重合を開始した。重合が十分に安定したところで、1-(トリメトキシシリル)-4-ビニルベンゼン(分岐化剤)を0.07g/hで添加し、撹拌して反応させた。なお、分岐化剤は上述した特定分岐化剤に該当する。
<変性工程>
 反応器出口から流出した溶液に、ビス(3-トリメトキシシリルプロピル)-[3-(2,2-ジメトキシ-1-アザ-2-シラシクロペンタン)プロピル]アミン(変性剤)を0.33g/hで添加し、撹拌して反応させた。
 その後、重合停止剤として、メタノールを添加して、共役ジエン系ゴムを含有する溶液を得た。
 得られた溶液に、老化防止剤として、イルガノックス1520L(BASF社製)を、共役ジエン系ゴム100質量部に対して1.14質量部添加した後、スチームストリッピングにより溶媒を除去し、60℃で24時間真空乾燥して、固形状の共役ジエン系ゴムを得た。得られた共役ジエン系ゴムを共役ジエン系ゴム1とも言う。
 共役ジエン系ゴム1は、ブタジエンとスチレンと分岐化剤との共重合体である共役ジエン系重合体と変性剤との反応物であり、変性剤に由来する、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を含む変性基(特定変性基)を有する変性共役ジエン系ゴムである。
 共役ジエン系ゴム1は、変性基を分岐点とする3分岐以上の星形構造を有し、上記変性基に結合する分岐鎖は、分岐化剤に由来する部分を有し、分岐剤に由来する部分において、更なる主鎖分岐構造(共役ジエン系重合体鎖)を有する。
〔共役ジエン系ゴム2~4〕
 各成分の使用量を表1に記載のとおり変更した点以外は、共役ジエン系ゴム1と同様の手順にしたがって、固形状の共役ジエン系ゴムを得た。得られた共役ジエン系ゴムをそれぞれ共役ジエン系ゴム2~4とも言う。
 共役ジエン系ゴム2~4は、ブタジエンとスチレンと分岐化剤との共重合体である共役ジエン系重合体と変性剤との反応物であり、変性剤に由来する、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を含む変性基(特定変性基)を有する変性共役ジエン系ゴムである。
 共役ジエン系ゴム2~4は、変性基を分岐点とする3分岐以上の星形構造を有し、上記変性基に結合する分岐鎖は、分岐化剤に由来する部分を有し、分岐剤に由来する部分において、更なる主鎖分岐構造(共役ジエン系重合体鎖)を有する。
〔比較共役ジエン系ゴム〕
 窒素置換された100mLアンプル瓶に、シクロヘキサン(35g)、およびテトラメチルエチレンジアミン(1.4mmol)を添加し、さらに、n-ブチルリチウム(4.3mmol)を添加した。次いで、イソプレン(21.6g)、およびスチレン(3.1g)をゆっくりと添加し、50℃のアンプル瓶内で120分反応させることにより、活性末端を有する重合体ブロック(A)を得た。
 次に、攪拌機付きオートクレーブに、窒素雰囲気下、シクロヘキサン(4000g)、1,3-ブタジエン(474.0g)、およびスチレン(126.0g)を仕込んだ後、上記にて得られた活性末端を有する重合体ブロック(A)を全量加え、50℃で重合を開始した。重合転化率が95%から100%の範囲になったことを確認してから、次いで、下記式(11)で表されるポリオルガノシロキサンを、エポキシ基の含有量が1.42mmol(使用したn-ブチルリチウムの0.33倍モルに相当)となるように、20質量%濃度のキシレン溶液の状態で添加し、30分間反応させた。その後、重合停止剤として、使用したn-ブチルリチウムの2倍モルに相当する量のメタノールを添加して、共役ジエン系ゴムを含有する溶液を得た。この溶液に、老化防止剤(イルガノックス1520、BASF社製)を少量添加し、スチームストリッピング法により固形状のゴムを回収した。得られた固形状のゴムをロールにより脱水し、乾燥機中で乾燥を行い、固形状の共役ジエン系ゴムを得た。得られた共役ジエン系ゴムを比較共役ジエン系ゴムとする。
 上記式(11)中、X、X、R~RおよびR~Rはメチル基である。上記式(11)中、mは80、kは120である。上記式(11)中、Xは下記式(12)で表される基である(ここで、*は結合位置を表す)。

〔重量平均分子量、重量平均固有粘度、スチレン量、ビニル量、ガラス転移温度〕
 上述のとおり合成した共役ジエン系ゴム(共役ジエン系ゴム1~4、比較共役ジエン系ゴム)について、Mw、Mw10%、IVw、IVw10%、St、Vn、ガラス転移温度(Tg)を表2に示す。
 なお、表2中、式(1)の「右辺」は、式(1)の右辺である「3.1×10-6×Mw10%-2.77」の値を表す。
 また、表2中、式(1)の「該否」は、式(1)の該非を表し、具体的には、「A」は式(1)を満たすことを表し、「B」は式(1)を満たさないことを表す。

 表2に示されるとおり、共役ジエン系ゴム1~2はいずれも式(1)~(3)を満たす。また、上述のとおり、共役ジエン系ゴム1~2はいずれも特定変性基を有する変性共役ジエン系ゴムである。そのため、共役ジエン系ゴム1~2はいずれも上述した特定共役ジエン系ゴムに該当する。
 一方、表2に示されるとおり、共役ジエン系ゴム3は、式(1)~(2)を満たすものの式(3)を満たさないため、上述した特定共役ジエン系ゴムに該当しない。また、表2に示されるとおり、共役ジエン系ゴム4は、式(1)及び式(3)を満たすものの式(2)を満たさないため、上述した特定共役ジエン系ゴムに該当しない。また、比較共役ジエン系ゴムは、式(1)~(2)を満たさないため、上述した特定共役ジエン系ゴムに該当しない。
[ポリシロキサンの合成]
 撹拌機、還流冷却器、滴下ロート及び温度計を備えた2Lセパラブルフラスコにビス(トリエトキシシリルプロピル)テトラスルフィド(信越化学工業製 KBE-846)107.8g(0.2mol)、γ-メルカプトプロピルトリエトキシシラン(信越化学工業製 KBE-803)190.8g(0.8mol)、オクチルトリエトキシシラン(信越化学工業製 KBE-3083)442.4g(1.6mol)、エタノール190.0gを納めた後、室温にて0.5N塩酸37.8g(2.1mol)とエタノール75.6gの混合溶液を滴下した。その後、80℃にて2時間攪拌した。その後、濾過、5%KOH/EtOH溶液17.0gを滴下し80℃で2時間攪拌した。その後、減圧濃縮、濾過することで褐色透明液体のポリシロキサン480.1gを得た。GPCにより測定した結果、平均分子量は840であり、平均重合度は4.0(設定重合度4.0)であった。また、酢酸/ヨウ化カリウム/ヨウ素酸カリウム添加-チオ硫酸ナトリウム溶液滴定法によりメルカプト当量を測定した結果、730g/molであり、設定通りのメルカプト基含有量であることが確認された。以上より、下記平均組成式で示される。そのため、得られたポリシロキサンは上述した特定ポリシロキサンに該当する。

 得られたポリシロキサンをシランカップリング剤2とも言う。
[タイヤ用ゴム組成物の調製]
 下記表3~5の各成分を同表に示す組成(質量部)で混合した。
 具体的には、まず、表3~5中の硫黄及び加硫促進剤以外の成分を1.8Lの密閉型混合機で160℃以下の条件下で5分間混合し、マスターバッチを放出した。その後、上記マスターバッチに硫黄及び加硫促進剤を加えてオープンロールを用いて100℃以下の条件下で混合して、各タイヤ用ゴム組成物を製造した。
[評価]
 得られた各タイヤ用ゴム組成物について以下の評価を行った。
〔転がり性能〕
 各タイヤ用ゴム組成物を用いて、所定形状の金型(内寸:長さ150mm、幅150mm、厚さ2mm)を用いて170℃、10分間加硫し、加硫ゴム試験片を作製した。この加硫ゴム試験片について、岩本製作所製の粘弾性スペクトロメーターを用いて、伸張変形歪率0.5±2%、振動数20Hzの条件下でtanδ(60℃)を測定し、この値の逆数をもって転がり性能を評価した。結果を表3~5に示す。結果は、標準例を100として指数で示した。指数が大きいほど、転がり性能に優れることを示す。実用上、100超であることが好ましい。
〔ウェット性能〕
 各タイヤ用ゴム組成物を用いて、所定形状の金型(内寸:長さ150mm、幅150mm、厚さ2mm)を用いて170℃、10分間加硫し、加硫ゴム試験片を作製した。この加硫ゴム試験片について、岩本製作所製の粘弾性スペクトロメーターを用いて、伸張変形歪率0.5±2%、振動数20Hzの条件下でtanδ(0℃)を測定し、この値をもってウェット性能を評価した。結果を表3~5に示す。結果は、標準例を100として指数で示した。指数が大きいほど、ウェット性能に優れることを示す。実用上、100超であることが好ましい。
〔加工性〕
 各タイヤ用ゴム組成物のムーニー粘度を、JIS K6300に基づき100℃で測定し、この値の逆数をもって加工性を評価した。結果は、標準例の値を100として指数で示した。指数が大きいほど、加工性が良好であることを示す。実用上、100以上であることが好ましい。
〔耐摩耗性〕
 各タイヤ用ゴム組成物を用いて、所定形状の金型(内寸:長さ150mm、幅150mm、厚さ2mm)を用いて170℃、10分間加硫し、加硫ゴム試験片を作成した。この加硫ゴム試験片を使用し、JIS K6251に準拠して、ダンベル型JIS3号形試験片を作製した。この試験片を用いて、室温(23℃)で500mm/分の引張り速度で引張り試験を行い、引張り破断強度を測定した。評価結果は、標準例の値を100とする指数として、表3~5の「耐摩耗性」の欄に記載した。この指数が大きいほど破断強度が高く、耐摩耗性が優れることを意味する。なお、耐摩耗性については、指数値が「100」では改善効果が得られておらず、指数値が「102」以上の場合に優れた耐摩耗性が得られたことを意味する。
〔耐チッピング性〕
 各タイヤ用ゴム組成物を用いて、所定形状の金型(内寸:長さ150mm、幅150mm、厚さ2mm)を用いて170℃、10分間加硫し、加硫ゴム試験片を作成した。この加硫ゴム試験片を使用し、JIS K6251に準拠して、ダンベル型JIS3号形試験片を作製した。この試験片を用いて、室温(23℃)で500mm/分の引張り速度で引張り試験を行い、引張り破断伸びを測定した。評価結果は、標準例の値を100とする指数として、「耐チッピング性」の欄に記載した。この指数が大きいほど破断伸びが高く、耐チッピング性が優れることを意味する。実用上、100超であることが好ましい。

 表3~5中の各成分の詳細は以下のとおりである。
・NR:天然ゴム、TSR20
・共役ジエン系ゴム1~4:上述のとおり合成した共役ジエン系ゴム1~4
・比較共役ジエン系ゴム:上述のとおり合成した比較共役ジエン系ゴム
・Nipol 1502:スチレンブタジエンゴム(日本ゼオン社製)(特定変性基を有さないため上述した特定共役ジエン系ゴムに該当しない)
・BR:日本ゼオン社製Nipol BR1220(ブタジエンゴム、Tg:-106℃)(特定変性基を有さないため上述した特定共役ジエン系ゴムに該当しない)
・カーボンブラック:東海カーボン社製シースト3(HAFカーボンブラック、窒素吸着比表面積(NSA):79m/g)
・シリカ:Solvay社製ZEOSIL 1165MP(CTAB吸着比表面積:160m/g)
・テルペン系樹脂:ヤスハラケミカル社製YSレジンTO125(芳香族変性テルペン樹脂、軟化点:125℃)
・C5/C9系樹脂:ENEOS社製、商品名RD104
・C5系樹脂:ENEOS社製、商品名RA100
・DCPD/C9系樹脂:上海宜達化工社製、商品名RT-1102D
・比較シランカップリング剤:Evonik社製Si69(特定シランカップリング剤に該当しない)
・シランカップリング剤1:3-オクタノイルチオ-1-プロピルトリエトキシシラン(下記化合物)(特定シランカップリング剤に該当する)

・シランカップリング剤2:上述のとおり合成したポリシロキサン(特定シランカップリング剤に該当する)
・オイル:昭和シェル石油社製エキストラクト4号S
・老化防止剤:ノクラック6C(大内新興化学工業社製)
・ワックス:サンノック(大内振興化学工業社製)
・硫黄:四国化成工業社製ミュークロンOT-20
・加硫促進剤:三新化学工業社製サンセラーCM-G(スルフェンアミド系)
 表3~5から分かるように、特定の量の特定共役ジエン系ゴムを含むゴム成分とシリカと特定シランカップリング剤を含有する実施例1~11はいずれも、優れた、転がり性能、ウェット性能、加工性、耐摩耗性及び耐チッピング性を示した。
 実施例1と実施例2との対比(特定共役ジエン系ゴムの種類のみが異なる態様同士の対比)から、特定共役ジエン系ゴムのSt+Vnが40以下である実施例1は、より優れた、転がり性能及び耐摩耗性を示した。また、実施例1と実施例2との対比(特定共役ジエン系ゴムの種類のみが異なる態様同士の対比)から、特定共役ジエン系ゴムのSt+Vnが35以上である実施例2は、より優れた、ウェット性能及び耐チッピング性を示した。
 また、実施例2と実施例3との対比(ゴム成分中の特定共役ジエン系ゴムの割合が異なる態様同士の対比)から、ゴム成分中の特定共役ジエン系ゴムの割合が50質量%以上である実施例2は、より優れた、転がり性能、ウェット性能、耐摩耗性及び耐チッピング性を示した。
 また、実施例1と実施例4~10との対比(熱可塑性樹脂の有無のみが異なる態様同士の対比)から、熱可塑性樹脂を含有する実施例4~10は、より優れた、耐摩耗性を示した。
 また、実施例4~7の対比(熱可塑性樹脂の含有量のみが異なる態様同士の対比)から、ゴム成分100質量部に対する熱可塑性樹脂の含有量が10質量部以上である実施例5~7は、より優れた、ウェット性能、耐摩耗性及び耐チッピング性を示した。なかでも、上記含有量が30質量部以上である実施例6~7は、さらに優れた、ウェット性能を示した。そのなかでも、上記含有量が45質量部以下である実施例6は、さらに優れた、転がり性能、耐摩耗性及び耐チッピング性を示した。
 また、実施例5と実施例8~10との対比(熱可塑性樹脂の量が20質量部である態様同士の対比)から、熱可塑性樹脂がテルペン系樹脂を含む実施例5及び実施例8は、より優れたウェット性能を示した。なかでも、熱可塑性樹脂が、テルペン系樹脂、C5/C9系樹脂、C9系樹脂、DCPD系樹脂、DCPD/C9系樹脂、水添C5/C9系樹脂、水添C9系樹脂、水添DCPD系樹脂、及び、水添DCPD/C9系樹脂からなる群より選択される少なくとも2種を含む実施例8は、さらに優れたウェット性能を示した。
 また、実施例1と実施例11との対比(特定シランカップリング剤の種類のみが異なる態様同士の対比)から、特定シランカップリング剤が3-オクタノイルチオ-1-プロピルトリエトキシシランである実施例1は、より優れたウェット性能を示した。
 一方、特定共役ジエン系ゴム及び特定シランカップリング剤を含有しない標準例、特定共役ジエン系ゴムを含有するものの特定シランカップリング剤を含有しない比較例1、特定シランカップリング剤を含有するものの特定共役ジエン系ゴムを含有しない比較例2、特定共役ジエン系ゴム及び特定シランカップリング剤を含有するもののゴム成分中の特定共役ジエン系ゴムの割合が25質量%未満である比較例3~5は、転がり性能、ウェット性能、加工性、耐摩耗性及び耐チッピング性のうち少なくとも1つが不十分であった。

Claims (7)

  1.  変性共役ジエン系ゴム(A1)を含むゴム成分(A)と、シリカ(B)と、シランカップリング剤(C)とを含有し、
     前記変性共役ジエン系ゴム(A1)が、下記式(1)~(3)を満たし、且つ、窒素原子、ケイ素原子及びそれに隣接する酸素原子を含む変性基を有する、共役ジエン系ゴムであり、
     前記ゴム成分(A)中の前記変性共役ジエン系ゴム(A1)の割合が、25質量%以上であり、
     前記シランカップリング剤(C)が、3-オクタノイルチオ-1-プロピルトリエトキシシラン、又は、下記式(C2)の平均組成式で表されるポリシロキサンである、タイヤ用ゴム組成物。

     式(1)及び(3)中のMw10%及びIVw10%については以下のとおりである。
     変性共役ジエン系ゴムについて示差屈折率検出器及び粘度検出器を検出器とするゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー測定を行う。示差屈折率検出器によるクロマトグラムのピークのうち、ピーク全体の面積の10%の面積となる高分子量側の部分を用いて求められた重量平均分子量をMw10%とする。また、粘度検出器によるクロマトグラムのピークのうち、ピーク全体の面積の10%の面積となる高分子量側の部分を用いて求められた重量平均固有粘度をIVw10%とする。ただし、重量平均固有粘度の単位はdL/gである。
     式(2)中、Stは、変性共役ジエン系ゴム全体に対するスチレンに由来する繰り返し単位の割合(質量%)を表し、Vnは、変性共役ジエン系ゴム全体に対する共役ジエンに由来する1,2-ビニル構造の繰り返し単位の割合(質量%)を表す。

     式(C2)中、Aはスルフィド基を含有する2価の有機基を表す。Bは炭素数5~10の1価の炭化水素基を表す。Cは加水分解性基を表す。Dはメルカプト基を含有する有機基を表す。Rは炭素数1~4の1価の炭化水素基を表す。a~eは、0≦a<1、0<b<1、0<c<3、0<d<1、0≦e<2、0<2a+b+c+d+e<4の関係式を満たす。
  2.  前記変性共役ジエン系ゴム(A1)が、
     3分岐以上の星形構造を有し、前記星形構造の少なくとも1つの分岐鎖がアルコキシシリル基又はハロシリル基を含むビニル系単量体に由来する部分を有し、
     前記部分において、さらなる主鎖分岐構造を有する、請求項1に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
  3.  前記シリカ(B)を含む補強性充填剤の含有量が、前記ゴム成分(A)100質量部に対して、50質量部以上である、請求項1に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
  4.  さらに、熱可塑性樹脂(D)を含有する、請求項1に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
  5.  前記熱可塑性樹脂(D)が、テルペン系樹脂、C5/C9系樹脂、C9系樹脂、DCPD系樹脂、DCPD/C9系樹脂、水添C5/C9系樹脂、水添C9系樹脂、水添DCPD系樹脂、及び、水添DCPD/C9系樹脂からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種を含み、
     前記熱可塑性樹脂(D)の含有量が、前記ゴム成分(A)100質量部に対して、5質量部以上50質量部以下である、請求項4に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
  6.  前記熱可塑性樹脂(D)が、テルペン系樹脂、C5/C9系樹脂、C9系樹脂、DCPD系樹脂、DCPD/C9系樹脂、水添C5/C9系樹脂、水添C9系樹脂、水添DCPD系樹脂、及び、水添DCPD/C9系樹脂からなる群より選択される少なくとも2種を含み、
     前記熱可塑性樹脂(D)の合計の含有量が、前記ゴム成分(A)100質量部に対して、50質量部以下である、請求項4に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
  7.  請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物を用いて製造された、タイヤ。
