최근 정보화 사회가 발전함에 따라 와이 파이(Wi-Fi), 블루투스(Bluetooth) 등과 같은 무선 통신 기술이 건물 내부, 화상 표시 장치, 전자 기기, 건축물 등에 적용 혹은 내장되고 있다.
또한, 최근 이동통신 기술이 진화하면서, 예를 들면, 고주파 혹은 초고주파 대역의 통신을 수행하기 위한 안테나가 신호 공유기의 형태로 버스, 지하철 등의 대중 교통, 건축 구조물 등에 적용되고 있다.
신호 공유기의 형태로 제공되는 안테나의 방사 대역 및 커버리지가 증가하고 신호 세기가 향상될 필요가 있다.
본 발명의 일 과제는 향상된 방사 특성 및 방사 신뢰성을 갖는 안테나 패키지를 제공하는 것이다.
1. 안테나 케이스, 상기 안테나 케이스의 내벽 또는 외벽 상에 배치되고 제1 방사체를 포함하는 안테나 유닛, 및 상기 안테나 케이스와 결합되고 상기 제1 방사체와 연결되는 회로 기판을 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.

일부 실시예들에 있어서, 안테나 유닛(100)은 제1 방사체(110)와 평면 상에서 이격되고, 복수개의 홀들(hole)(142, 145)을 포함하는 제2 방사체(140)를 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 제2 방사체(140)는 제1 방사체(110) 및 그라운드 패턴(120, 130)과 평면 상에서 이격될 수 있다.
예를 들면, 제2 방사체(140)는 외부 회로 기판 또는 외부 급전선과 직접 연결되지 않을 수 있다. 예를 들면, 제2 방사체(140)는 안테나 유닛(100)의 기생 방사체 또는 플로팅(floating) 방사체로 제공될 수 있다. 이에 따라, 안테나 유닛(100)의 방사 성능이 향상될 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 제2 방사체(140)는 내부에 형성된 홀들(142, 145)을 포함할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 제2 방사체(140)가 복수의 안테나 유닛들(100) 사이의 분리 패턴으로 제공될 수 있다. 따라서, 인접한 안테나 유닛들(100) 사이의 신호 간섭 및 신호 교란이 방지되고 각 안테나 유닛(100)이 독립적으로 구동될 수 있다.
예를 들면, 인접한 제1 방사체들(110) 사이에 제2 방사체(140)가 배치되어 신호 간섭/교란을 방지할 수 있다.
예를 들면, 복수개의 홀들 각각에 공진 루프(loop)가 형성되고, 제2 방사체(140) 전체에 걸쳐 공진 루프가 형성될 수 있다. 이에 따라, 신호 간섭/교란이 방지될 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 제2 방사체(140)는 내부에 제1 홀(142)을 포함하는 제3 방사부(141), 및 내부에 제2 홀(145)을 포함하는 제4 방사부(144)를 포함할 수 있다. 제2 방사체(140)는 제3 방사부(141) 및 제4 방사부(144)를 연결하는 연결부(148)를 포함할 수 있다.
예를 들면, 제3 방사부(141), 연결부(148) 및 제4 방사부(144)는 일체로 형성될 수 있다.
예를 들면, 제1 홀(142) 및 제2 홀(145)에 각각 공진 루프가 형성될 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 연결부(148)의 너비는 제3 방사부(141)의 너비 및 제4 방사부(144)의 너비 각각보다 작을 수 있다. 이에 따라, 제3 방사부(141)에서 제4 방사부(144)로 전달되는 신호 또는 제4 방사부(144)에서 제3 방사부(141)로 전달되는 신호가 연결부(148)에서 집중되고, 집중된 신호가 전달되어 전계 집중성 및 신호의 직진성이 향상될 수 있다.

예를 들면, 제1 보조 패턴(143) 및 제2 보조 패턴(146)을 통해 제2 방사체(140)의 금속 면적이 증가하고, 이에 따라 상술한 신호 간섭 방지 효과가 개선될 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 따르면, 제2 방사체(140)의 길이는 제1 방사체(110)의 길이보다 작을 수 있다. 이에 따라, 제1 방사체(110)로 송수신되는 신호의 교란/간섭이 억제될 수 있다.
도 6은 예시적인 실시예들에 따른 안테나 유닛을 나타내는 개략적인 평면도이다.
도 6을 참조하면, 하나의 안테나 기재층(105) 상에 복수개의 안테나 유닛들(100)이 배치될 수 있다. 이에 따라, 및 하나의 안테나 기재층(105) 상에 복수개의 안테나 유닛들(100)이 적층된 구조가 필름 형태로 안테나 케이스(90)의 내벽 또는 외벽 상에 배치될 수 있다. 따라서, 안테나 패키지의 공간 효율성 및 방사 성능이 개선될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 따르면, 안테나 기재층(105) 상에 2개의 안테나 유닛(100)이 배치될 수 있다.
예를 들면, 안테나 유닛(100)은 은(Ag), 금(Au), 구리(Cu), 알루미늄(Al), 백금(Pt), 팔라듐(Pd), 크롬(Cr), 티타늄(Ti), 텅스텐(W), 니오븀(Nb), 탄탈륨(Ta), 바나듐(V), 철(Fe), 망간(Mn), 코발트(Co), 니켈(Ni), 아연(Zn), 주석(Sn), 몰리브덴(Mo), 칼슘(Ca), 또는 이들 중 적어도 하나를 함유하는 합금을 포함할 수 있다. 이들은 단독으로 혹은 2 이상이 조합되어 사용될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 안테나 유닛(100)은 저저항 구현 및 미세 선폭 패터닝을 위해 은(Ag) 또는 은 합금(예를 들면, 은-팔라듐-구리(APC) 합금), 혹은 구리(Cu) 또는 구리 합금(예를 들면, 구리-칼슘(CuCa) 합금)을 포함할 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 안테나 유닛(100)은 인듐주석 산화물(ITO), 인듐아연 산화물(IZO), 인듐아연주석 산화물(ITZO), 아연 산화물(ZnOx)과 같은 투명 도전성 산화물을 포함할 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 안테나 유닛(100)은 투명 도전성 산화물 층 및 금속층의 적층 구조를 포함할 수 있으며, 예를 들면, 투명 도전성 산화물 층-금속층의 2층 구조, 또는 투명 도전성 산화물 층-금속층-투명 도전성 산화물 층의 3층 구조를 가질 수도 있다. 이 경우, 상기 금속층에 의해 플렉시블 특성이 향상되면서, 저항을 낮추어 신호 전달 속도가 향상될 수 있으며, 상기 투명 도전성 산화물 층에 의해 내부식성, 투명성이 향상될 수 있다.
안테나 유닛(100)은 흑화 처리부를 포함할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 안테나 유닛(100) 표면에서의 반사율을 감소시켜, 광반사에 따른 패턴 시인을 감소시킬 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 안테나 유닛(100)에 포함된 금속층의 표면을 금속 산화물 또는 금속 황화물로 변환시켜, 흑화층을 형성할 수 있다. 일 실시예에 있어서, 안테나 유닛(100) 또는 상기 금속 층 상에 흑색 재료 코팅층, 또는 도금층과 같은 흑화층을 형성할 수 있다. 상기 흑색 재료 또는 도금층은 규소, 탄소, 구리, 몰리브덴, 주석, 크롬, 몰리브덴, 니켈, 코발트 또는 이들 중 적어도 하나를 함유하는 산화물, 황화물, 합금 등을 포함할 수 있다.
흑화층의 조성 및 두께는 반사율 저감 효과, 안테나 방사 특성을 고려하여 조절될 수 있다.
도 7은 예시적인 실시예들에 따른 안테나 유닛을 나타내는 개략적인 평면도이다.
도 7을 참조하면, 안테나 패키지는 안테나 유닛(100) 주변에 배치된 더미 메쉬 패턴(150)을 더 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 더미 메쉬 패턴(150)은 분리 영역(155)을 통해 안테나 유닛(100)과 전기적, 물리적으로 분리될 수 있다.
예를 들면, 안테나 기재층(105) 상에 상술한 금속 또는 합금을 포함하는 도전층을 형성할 수 있다. 상기 도전층을 상술한 안테나 유닛(100)의 직선 둘레 영역 및 곡선 둘레 영역을 포함하는 프로파일을 따라 식각하면서 메쉬 구조를 형성할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 분리 영역(155)에 의해 서로 이격된 안테나 유닛(100) 및 더미 메쉬 패턴(150)이 형성될 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 안테나 유닛(100) 역시 메쉬 구조를 공유할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 안테나 유닛(100)의 투과도가 향상되며, 더미 메쉬 패턴(150)이 분포함에 따라 안테나 유닛(100) 주변의 광학 특성이 균일화될 수 있다. 따라서, 안테나 유닛(100)이 시각적으로 인식되는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 제1 방사체(110), 그라운드 패턴(120, 130) 및 제2 방사체(140)는 전체적으로 상기 메쉬 구조를 포함할 수 있다. 일 실시예에 있어서, 급전 효율성을 위해 접속 패드(115) 및 그라운드 패드(125, 135)는 속이 찬(solid) 구조를 포함할 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 안테나 패키지는 다양한 대상체에 적용될 수 있으며, 방사체들(110, 140) 및 그라운드 패턴(120, 130)이 대상체 중 사용자에게 시인되지 않는 영역에 배치되는 경우 방사체들(110, 140) 및 그라운드 패턴(120, 130)은 속이 찬 구조를 가질 수 있다.
예를 들면, 안테나 패키지가 적용되는 대상체에서 안테나 유닛(100)이 사용자에게 시인되지 않는 영역에 배치되는 경우, 안테나 유닛(100)은 속이 찬 구조를 포함할 수 있다.
더미 메쉬 패턴(150)은 내부에 메시 구조를 형성하는 교차하는 도전 라인들을 포함할 수 있다. 일부 실시예들에 있어서, 더미 메쉬 패턴(150)은 상기 도전 라인들이 절단된 분절 영역들을 포함할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 더미 메쉬 패턴(150)에 의해 안테나 유닛(100)에서의 방사 특성이 교란되는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 안테나 유닛(100)은 안테나 케이스(90)의 내벽 상에 배치될 수 있다. 이에 따라, 안테나 유닛(100)이 외부 충격으로부터 더욱 보호되어 안테나 패키지의 내구성 및 신뢰성이 개선될 수 있다.
도 8은 예시적인 실시예들에 따른 안테나 패키지를 나타내는 개략적인 모식도이다.
도 8을 참조하면, 안테나 케이스(90)의 내부에 빈 공간이 형성될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 상기 빈 공간에 기능 소자(300)가 배치될 수 있다.
기능 소자(300)는 투명 소재를 포함하는 안테나 케이스(90) 내부에 배치되어 조명, 시계, 알람, 스피커 등으로 제공될 수 있다. 이에 따라, 안테나 패키지가 신호 공유기로 제공되면서 심미감 및/또는 실용성이 개선될 수 있다.
기능 소자(300)의 구성/구조는 안테나 패키지의 설치 장소, 사용자의 수요 등을 고려하여 선택될 수 있다.
안테나 패키지는 안테나 케이스(90) 내벽 또는 외벽 상에 안테나 유닛(100)이 배치되고, 안테나 케이스(90) 하부에 회로 기판(200)이 삽입 및 연결되어 공간 효율성 및 방사 특성이 개선될 수 있다.

Claims (20)

  1. 안테나 케이스;
    상기 안테나 케이스의 내벽 또는 외벽 상에 배치되고 제1 방사체를 포함하는 안테나 유닛; 및
    상기 안테나 케이스와 결합되고 상기 제1 방사체와 연결되는 회로 기판을 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.
  2. 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 안테나 유닛은 상기 안테나 케이스의 상기 내벽의 측면들 또는 상기 외벽의 측면들 중 적어도 한 측면 상에 배치되는, 안테나 패키지.
  3. 청구항 2에 있어서, 복수의 상기 안테나 유닛들을 포함하고, 상기 안테나 유닛들은 각각 상기 안테나 케이스의 상기 측면들 중 하나 상에 배치되는, 안테나 패키지.
  4. 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 안테나 유닛은 상기 제1 방사체의 주변에서 상기 제1 방사체와 이격되어 배치된 그라운드 패턴을 더 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.
  5. 청구항 4에 있어서, 상기 제1 방사체는
    제1 방사부;
    상기 제1 방사부와 대향하는 제2 방사부; 및
    상기 제1 방사부 및 상기 제2 방사부 사이에 배치되며 상기 제1 방사부의 너비 및 상기 제2 방사부의 너비 각각보다 작은 너비를 갖는 오목부를 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.
  6. 청구항 5에 있어서, 상기 제2 방사부의 일단부는 상기 오목부와 직접 연결되고,
    상기 안테나 유닛은 상기 제2 방사부의 타단부와 연결되는 접속 패드, 및 상기 접속 패드 주변에 배치되고 상기 그라운드 패턴의 말단부와 연결되는 그라운드 패드를 더 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.
  7. 청구항 6에 있어서, 상기 회로 기판은 상기 접속 패드를 통해 상기 제1 방사체와 전기적으로 연결되는, 안테나 패키지.
  8. 청구항 7에 있어서, 상기 오목부는 상기 제1 방사부로부터 상기 제2 방사부로의 방향으로 너비가 감소하는 제1 경사부, 및 상기 제2 방사부로부터 상기 제1 방사부로의 방향으로 너비가 감소하는 제2 경사부를 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.
  9. 청구항 8에 있어서, 상기 그라운드 패턴은 상기 제2 방사부의 길이 및 상기 제2 경사부의 길이의 합 이하인, 안테나 패키지.
  10. 청구항 4에 있어서, 상기 그라운드 패턴은 상기 제1 방사체를 사이에 두고 배치되는 제1 그라운드 패턴 및 제2 그라운드 패턴을 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.
  11. 청구항 10에 있어서, 상기 제1 그라운드 패턴의 길이는 상기 제2 그라운드 패턴의 길이보다 큰, 안테나 패키지.
  12. 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 안테나 유닛은 상기 제1 방사체와 평면 상에서 이격되고, 복수개의 홀들(hole)을 포함하는 제2 방사체를 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.
  13. 청구항 12에 있어서, 상기 제2 방사체는
    내부에 제1 홀을 포함하는 제3 방사부; 및
    상기 제3 방사부와 대향하며 내부에 제2 홀을 포함하는 제4 방사부; 및
    상기 제3 방사부 및 상기 제4 방사부를 연결하는 연결부를 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.
  14. 청구항 13에 있어서, 상기 제3 방사부는 상기 제2 방사체의 길이 방향과 수직한 방향으로 연장하는 제1 보조 패턴을 포함하고, 상기 제4 방사부는 상기 제2 방사체의 상기 길이 방향과 수직한 방향으로 연장하는 제2 보조 패턴을 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.
  15. 청구항 12에 있어서, 상기 제2 방사체의 길이는 상기 제1 방사체의 길이보다 작은, 안테나 패키지.
  16. 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 안테나 유닛은 메쉬 구조를 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.
  17. 청구항 16에 있어서, 상기 안테나 유닛의 주변에 상기 안테나 유닛과 이격되어 배치된 더미 메쉬 패턴을 더 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.
  18. 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 안테나 케이스는 투명 소재를 포함하는, 안테나 패키지.
  19. 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 안테나 유닛은 상기 안테나 케이스의 상기 내벽 상에 배치되는, 안테나 패키지.
  20. 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 안테나 케이스의 내부에 기능 소자가 배치되고, 상기 기능 소자는 조명, 시계, 알람 또는 스피커로 제공되는, 안테나 패키지.
