- the cylindrical portion 23 has a hydrophobic filter 28 in the exhaust flow path 24 that allows gas to pass but does not allow liquid to pass through, and the exhaust flow path 24 is formed so that the cross section of the flow path at the lid end 27 side of the hydrophobic filter 28 is smaller than that at the body end 26 side of the hydrophobic filter 28. Because the hydrophobic filter 28 is provided in the exhaust flow path 24, liquids such as urine that flow from the external member through the connection plug body 10 and into the body end 26 do not pass through to the lid end 27, but gases such as air can pass through to the lid end 27. In other words, the exhaust flow path 24 is designed to allow only gases such as air to be discharged from the lid end 27 when the lid 30 is open and not engaged with the intermediate portion 20.
- the lid 30 has an annular groove 33 formed around the seal 32 on the contact surface with the intermediate section 20, and a deodorizing sheet (deodorizing member) 34 is incorporated into this annular groove 33 to deodorize the gas that has reached the lid 30 through the hydrophobic filter 28 of the intermediate section 20. This allows the lid 30 to suppress odors from urine, etc.
- the deodorizing sheet 34 is formed in an annular shape so as to surround the lid end 27 of the exhaust flow path 24 of the intermediate section 20 when the lid 30 is closed. Note that instead of the deodorizing sheet 34, a scented sheet (scented member) containing a fragrance may be incorporated into the groove 33.

- connection plug main body 10 has a urine drainage flow path 14 formed therethrough that runs from the base end 12 for fluid connection to an external member to the opposite tip end 13, and the intermediate portion 20 has an exhaust flow path 24 formed therethrough that runs from the main body side end 26 which fits into the tip end 13 of the connection plug main body 10 for fluid connection to the external member to the opposite lid side end 27, and a hydrophobic filter 28 is provided within the exhaust flow path 24 which allows gas to pass but not liquid to pass through.
- the medical device cap 200 has a check valve 17 provided in the connection plug body 10, and a magnet 29 and iron plates (iron members) 16, 36 for closing the connection plug body 10, the middle section 20, and the lid section 30.
- the iron plate 36 of the lid 30 is fitted into the groove 33, and the deodorizing sheet 34 is fitted onto the iron plate 36.
- the deodorizing sheet 34 is positioned between the magnet 29 of the middle part 20 and the iron plate 36 of the lid 30.
