For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a lower mold exchange part in which a lower mold is placed in a lower mold holder (mold mounting part) provided on a lower table, and an upper mold holder (mold mounting part) provided in an upper table. A mold exchanging device is disclosed, which includes an upper mold exchanging part for arranging an upper mold in a mounting part).
When the bending machine performs bending, the upper die exchange section and the lower die exchange section need to avoid interference with the bending processing range. Therefore, the upper mold exchange section and the lower mold exchange section each stand by at a reference position set on the front side of the mold storage device, which is laterally than the processing range. Further, in conjunction with the vertical movement of the upper table during bending, the upper mold exchange section also moves in the vertical direction relative to the lower mold exchange section. Therefore, the reference position of the upper mold exchange part and the reference position of the lower mold exchange part are set at positions separated in the left-right direction to avoid interference with each other.

The upper base plate 550 includes a pair of vertical edges 550a, 550b extending in the up-down direction and a pair of horizontal edges 550c, 550d extending in the left-right direction. Among the four edges 550a, 550b, 550c, and 550d, the right vertical edge 550a and the lower horizontal edge 550c form the lower right outer edge of the entire upper mold exchange unit 55R.
From the viewpoint of miniaturization, the mechanisms constituting the upper mold exchange unit 55R are laid out in a concentrated manner, and the upper base plate 550 itself is also miniaturized. That is, the right vertical edge 550a is designed to be as close to the left vertical edge 550b as possible within the range that satisfies the function and strength of the upper base plate 550. Similarly, the lower horizontal edge 550c is designed to be as close to the upper horizontal edge 550d as possible while still satisfying the functionality and strength of the upper base plate 550.
A notch is provided in a part of the right vertical edge 550a and is formed in a stepped shape. That is, the lower region 550a1 of the vertical edge 550a is offset to the left from the upper region 550a2 of the vertical edge 550a. Therefore, the corner portion where the right vertical edge 550a and the lower horizontal edge 550c connect is also offset to the left.
Due to such a stepped shape, the right vertical edge 550a is provided with an escape portion 555 from which a part of the vertical edge 550a (lower region 550a1) escapes to the left. However, although this relief portion 555 can be considered as a structure resulting from the stepped shape of the right vertical edge 550a, it can also be considered as a structure resulting from the stepped shape of the lower horizontal edge 550c. That is, the lower horizontal edge 550c is also provided with an escape portion 555 through which a part (right side area) of the horizontal edge 550c escapes upward.
Next, the structure of the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L, 56R will be explained. Since the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L and 56R are configured symmetrically, the left lower mold exchange unit 56L will be described below as an example. FIG. 4 is a front view showing the lower mold exchange unit on the left side.
The lower mold exchange unit 56L includes a lower base plate 560, a lower mold holding mechanism 561, a lower slider 562, and a lower moving mechanism 563. The individual elements are the same as the upper base plate 550, upper mold holding mechanism 551, upper slider 552, and upper moving mechanism 553 in the upper mold exchange unit 55R.
Next, the structure of the lower base plate 560 will be explained. The lower base plate 560 includes a pair of vertical edges 560a, 560b extending in the up-down direction and a pair of horizontal edges 560c, 560d extending in the left-right direction. Among the four edges 560a, 560b, 560c, and 560d, the left vertical edge 560a and the upper horizontal edge 560c form the upper left outer edge of the entire lower mold exchange unit 56R.
From the viewpoint of miniaturization, the mechanisms that make up the lower mold exchange unit 56L are laid out in a concentrated manner, and the lower base plate 560 itself is also miniaturized. That is, the left vertical edge 560a is designed to be as close to the right vertical edge 560b as possible within a range that satisfies the function and strength of the lower base plate 560. Similarly, the upper horizontal edge 560c is designed to be as close to the lower horizontal edge 560d as possible while still satisfying the functionality and strength of the lower base plate 560.
A notch is provided in a part of the left vertical edge 560a and is formed in a stepped shape. That is, the upper region 560a1 of the vertical edge 560a is offset to the right from the lower region 560a2 of the vertical edge 560a. Therefore, the corner portion where the left vertical edge 560a and the upper horizontal edge 560c connect is also offset to the right.
Due to this step shape, the left vertical edge 560a is provided with an escape portion 565 from which a part of the vertical edge 560a (upper region 560a1) escapes to the right. However, although this escape portion 565 can be considered as a structure resulting from the step shape of the left vertical edge 560a, it can also be considered as a structure resulting from the step shape of the upper horizontal edge 560c. That is, the upper horizontal edge 560c is also provided with an escape portion 565 through which a part (left side area) of the horizontal edge 560c escapes downward.
FIG. 5 is an explanatory diagram showing the left and right upper mold exchange units and the left and right lower mold exchange units waiting at the reference position. In the bending system having such a structure, the upper table 14 moves downward toward the lower table 12 to bend the workpiece W. When performing bending, the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L, 55R move to the right side of the processing range of the bending machine 1 and wait at a reference position. Similarly, the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L and 56R also move to the right side of the processing range of the bending machine 1 and wait at the reference position.
The reference positions of the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L, 55R and the reference positions of the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L, 56R are set on the front side of the mold storage device 6, respectively. When the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L and 55R are at the reference position, they are arranged side by side close to each other. Similarly, when the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L, 56R are at the standard position, they are arranged side by side in a state close to each other.
The reference positions of the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L, 55R and the reference positions of the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L, 56R are separated in the left-right direction. As a result, the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L, 55R are located on the left side of the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L, 56R, and conversely, the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L, 56R are located on the left and right upper mold exchange units 56L, 56R. It is located on the right side of the mold exchange units 55L and 55R. More specifically, the upper mold exchange unit 55R on the right side is located to the left of the lower mold exchange unit 56L on the left side, and the lower mold exchange unit 56L on the left side is located further to the left than the upper mold exchange unit 55R on the right side. is also on the right.
When the respective mold exchange units 55L, 55R, 56L, and 56R are in the reference position, the lower right outer edge of the upper mold exchange unit 55R on the right side faces the lower mold exchange unit 56L on the left side. Conversely, the upper left outer edge of the left lower mold exchange unit 56L faces the right upper mold exchange unit 55R. The upper base plate 550 that forms the outer edge of the lower right side of the upper mold exchange unit 55R on the right side has a relief part 555 that escapes in the direction away from the lower mold exchange unit 56L on the left side (leftward and upward direction). Similarly, the lower base plate 560 that forms the outer edge of the upper left side of the lower mold exchange unit 56R on the left side has an escape part 565 that escapes in the direction away from the upper mold exchange unit 55R on the right side (rightward and downward direction). are doing.
Therefore, even when the upper table 14 reaches the closest position to the lower table 12, there is a space between the upper mold exchange unit 55R on the right side and the lower mold exchange unit 56L on the left side in the vertical direction. Thus, a spatial separation of distance S1 and distance S2 in the left-right direction is ensured. Thereby, interference between the upper mold exchange unit 55R on the right side and the lower mold exchange unit 56L on the left side can be suppressed. In addition, even if an object enters between the upper mold exchange unit 55R on the right side and the lower mold exchange unit 56L on the left side, the upper mold exchange unit 55R on the right side and the lower mold exchange unit on the left side Therefore, interference with 56L can be suppressed.
As described above, in the mold changing device 5 of the present embodiment, the upper mold changing section includes the left and right upper mold changing units 55L and 55R that are configured symmetrically, and the relief part 555 of the upper mold changing section are provided in the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L and 55R, respectively. Further, the lower mold exchange section includes left and right lower mold exchange units 56L and 56R that are configured symmetrically, and the relief part 565 of the lower mold exchange section is connected to the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L and 56R. Each is provided.
According to this configuration, as described above, interference between the upper mold exchange part and the lower mold exchange part, which are opposed to each other, and objects between the upper mold exchange part and the lower mold exchange part can be prevented. interference can also be suppressed.
FIG. 6 is an explanatory diagram showing the left and right upper mold exchange units and the left and right lower mold exchange units waiting at the reference position with the left and right sides reversed with respect to FIG. 5. As shown in FIG. 6, a situation is assumed in which the reference positions of the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L, 55R and the reference positions of the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L, 56R are horizontally reversed. According to the mold changing device 5 of the present embodiment, even if the reference position is horizontally reversed, there is no space between the upper mold changing unit 55L on the left side and the lower mold changing unit 56R on the right side, which face each other. , a spatial separation of a distance S1 in the vertical direction and a distance S2 in the horizontal direction is ensured. This may cause interference between the upper mold exchange unit 55L on the left side and the lower mold exchange unit 56R on the right side, and even an object between the upper mold exchange unit 55L on the left side and the lower mold exchange unit 56R on the right side. interference can also be suppressed. Therefore, if necessary, it is also possible to reverse the reference positions of the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L, 55R and the reference positions of the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L, 56R.
Note that the relief portion 555 of the upper mold exchange section may be provided only in one of the upper mold exchange units 55L and 55R on the lower mold exchange section side. Similarly, the relief portion 565 of the lower mold exchange section may be provided only in one of the lower mold exchange units 56L, 56R on the upper mold exchange section side.
In the present embodiment, the relief portion 555 is provided on a vertical edge 550a of the upper base plate 550 that extends in the vertical direction, and the relief portion 565 is provided on a vertical edge 560a of the lower base plate 560 that extends in the vertical direction.
According to this configuration, the escape portion 555 can be set in the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L, 55R at a portion facing the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L, 56R. Similarly, relief portions 565 can be set in the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L, 56R at positions facing the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L, 55R. This makes it possible to suppress interference between the upper mold exchange part and the lower mold exchange part, which are in a facing relationship, and furthermore, interference with objects between the upper mold exchange part and the lower mold exchange part. can.
In this embodiment, a mold storage device 6 that stores the upper mold 4 and the lower mold 2 is arranged on the right side of the bending machine 1. The upper mold exchange section exchanges the upper mold 4 between the upper mold holder 20 and the mold storage device 6. The lower mold exchange section exchanges the lower mold 2 between the lower mold holder 18 and the mold storage device 6.
The upper guide 57 and the lower guide 58 each extend to the front side of the mold storage device 6, and the reference position is located at the front side of the mold storage device 6.
Due to the demand for space saving, the size of the mold storage device 6 in the left and right direction is also becoming smaller. Therefore, the relative distance between the upper mold exchange part and the lower mold exchange part when they are at the reference position becomes short. However, according to the present embodiment, the presence of the relief parts 555 and 565 causes interference between the upper mold exchange part and the lower mold exchange part, and furthermore, a gap between the upper mold exchange part and the lower mold exchange part. Interference with certain objects can also be suppressed.
Further, according to the present embodiment, the mechanisms configuring the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L and 55R are laid out in a consolidated manner, and the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L and 55R are also miniaturized. ing. If the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L and 55R are large in size, even if the right upper mold exchange unit 55R moves to the right end of the upper guide 57, the left upper mold exchange unit 55L cannot be moved all the way to the right side. , the upper mold holding member 551a is located relatively on the left side. Therefore, in the upper mold stocker 67 positioned at the upper mold exchange position, the upper mold holding member 551a of the left upper mold exchange unit 55L is located to the left of the upper mold 4 at the right end, and It is conceivable that the upper mold exchange unit 55L cannot hold the upper mold 4 at the right end. In this regard, according to the left and right upper mold exchange units 55L and 55R according to the present embodiment, the entire unit is downsized, so the left upper mold exchange unit 55L can be moved further to the right side. Thereby, the upper mold 4 at the right end can be held by either the left or right upper mold exchange unit 55L, 55R. As a result, the upper mold 4 can be efficiently arranged by the upper mold exchange units 55L and 55R. Note that such merits are the same for the left and right lower mold exchange units 56L and 56R.
