- each oil medium contained polar oil and silicone oil, and Table 1 shows the content of polar oil (volatile components) in the oil medium.
- the order of description of Examples and Comparative Examples is determined based on the order of (before exclusion).
- ⁇ UV protection efficiency> A fixed amount (2 mg/cm 2 ) of each composition obtained in the Examples and Comparative Examples was dropped onto a 50 mm square acrylic resin pseudo substrate imitating human skin texture, and a fixed load (100 ⁇ 30 g) was applied. Apply uniformly at a constant speed (100 mm/sec x 50 reciprocations). After drying for 60 minutes, ultraviolet light and visible light of 280 to 500 nm were transmitted through the coated substrate using a spectrophotometer (SPECTROPHOTOMETER U-3500, manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd.), and absorbance was calculated from the transmittance measurement. .
- SPECTROPHOTOMETER U-3500 manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd.
- the UV protection rate is evaluated to be the best. This result suggests that the ultraviolet scattering agent particles are best dispersed in the coating film. Further, the UV protection rate is evaluated to be progressively worse in the order from "B” to "D", and in particular, in the case of "D", the UV protection rate is evaluated to be the worst. This result suggests that the dispersibility of the ultraviolet scattering agent particles in the coating film is gradually becoming worse.
- each sample container was repeatedly inverted and the state of the powder settled at the bottom of the container was evaluated according to the following evaluation criteria: "A”: If no residue was observed at the bottom of the container after it was inverted once, and no powder sedimentation occurred, "B”: When powder residue is observed at the bottom of the container after it is inverted once, and the residue disappears after being inverted and stirred more than 1 time and less than 10 times.
- caking does not occur, that is, it is evaluated that the caking resistance is the best.
- the caking resistance is evaluated to be gradually worse in the order from "B” to "D", and in particular, in the case of "D", the caking resistance is evaluated to be the worst.
- the cosmetic compositions of Examples 1 and 2 are both excellent in UV protection and caking resistance, that is, the dispersibility of the ultraviolet scattering agent particles in the coating film is excellent. It was found to be a good and caking-resistant composition.
- Comparative Example 1 was found to have a somewhat low UV protection rate and poor caking resistance. It was also found that the cosmetic compositions of Comparative Examples 2 to 6 were unable to achieve both UV protection and caking resistance.
- the cosmetic compositions of Examples 3 to 5 were all excellent in UV protection and caking resistance, that is, the dispersibility of the ultraviolet scattering agent particles in the coating film was excellent. It was found to be a good and caking-resistant composition.
- Examples 6 to 13 and Comparative Example 12 Cosmetic compositions (oil-based cosmetic compositions) of Examples 6 to 13 and Comparative Example 12 were prepared based on the formulations shown in Table 3 below. Furthermore, each of the obtained compositions was evaluated in the same manner as the above-mentioned evaluations of "ultraviolet (UV) protection efficiency" and "caking resistance”. The results are shown in Table 3.
- Examples 11, 12, and 13 cetyl ethylhexanoate was used instead of diisopropyl sebacate as the polar oil, and dimethicone (1CS) was used instead of dimethicone (1.5CS) as the silicone oil.
- dimethicone (1CS) was used instead of dimethicone (1.5CS) as the silicone oil.
- Example 14 Based on Table 4 below, a cosmetic composition (oil-based cosmetic composition) of Example 14 was prepared. When the composition of Example 14 was observed using a real microscope, it was confirmed that the metal oxide particles were slightly aggregated. The resulting composition was applied to an acrylic resin substrate that mimics skin texture under constant dropping amount, load, and application speed, and the UVB region ( The absorbance at 290 nm) and the visible light transmittance at 490 nm were examined over time. The respective results are shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the coating film was prepared under the same substrate, dropping amount, load, and coating speed as in the evaluation of "UV protection efficiency", and under the same conditions. Measurements were performed using a spectrophotometer.
- the visible light transmittance of the composition of Example 14 was low immediately after application, but after about 8 minutes, the transmittance significantly improved, that is, the transparency significantly increased. I found that I had improved. This is because after applying the composition of Example 14 to the skin, the composition changes due to volatilization of some of the oily medium contained, thereby improving the dispersibility of the UV scattering agent particles, resulting in UV scattering. It is thought that the white cast due to agglomeration of agent particles was also improved, resulting in a highly transparent composition.
- Example 15 and 16 Cosmetic compositions (water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic compositions) of Examples 15 and 16 were prepared based on the formulations shown in Table 5 below. Furthermore, each of the obtained compositions was evaluated in the same manner as the above-mentioned evaluations of "ultraviolet (UV) protection efficiency" and "caking resistance”. The results are shown in Table 5.
- Example 15 As is clear from the results in Table 5, the water-in-oil cosmetic composition of Example 15 was found to be excellent in UV protection and caking resistance. On the other hand, in Example 16 where the water content was 30% by mass, it was found that the UV protection rate was slightly inferior.
