- the present disclosure relates to a cartridge, a termite prevention device, and a termite prevention method. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a cartridge, a termite control device, and a termite control method for suppressing or eradicating termite population activity.
- One embodiment of a conventional termite control method is to spray an insecticide having an insecticidal effect against termites on the soil beneath the floor of a building or on the surface of a concrete foundation, and to prevent the invasion of termites for a certain number of years and to kill the termites when they invade.
- a device that attracts and kills termites is embedded in the outdoor soil, and after confirming the capture of termites, insecticide is applied to the substrate that termites can feed on (for example, cellulose substrate).
- This method aims to eradicate the termite colony by exchanging nutrients with the termites by replacing them with poisonous bait impregnated with termites (for example, see Patent Document 1).
- One aspect of the termite control method involves spraying physiologically active chemicals under floors similar to those indoors, which poses concerns about exposure of workers, residents, and facility users to the chemicals. Additionally, in recent years, due to the diversification of building structures, it has become impossible to spray chemicals indoors.
- an anti-termite device is equipped with a cartridge containing a non-repellent and slow-acting insecticide active ingredient, a container that can accommodate the cartridge, and an anti-termite device. Abstract
