- a liquid such as cooling water into the battery module or the battery pack in order to effectively suppress the ignition when the battery cell is ignited.
- a liquid tank inside the battery module or battery pack may increase the volume of the battery module and battery pack, conventionally, a separate water tank is provided outside the battery module and the battery pack, and the battery is stored through a sensor. Cooling water or the like was injected into the battery module or battery pack through a nozzle or the like extending from the water tank only when ignition of the cell was confirmed.
- the conventional water supply system must have a separate control unit or communication unit for determining whether or not to input cooling water, and errors must not occur in their operation. It became. Even after the injection of cooling water is determined, if the path from the water tank to the battery module or the battery cell inside the battery pack is rather long, it is difficult to quickly provide the cooling water from the water tank to the battery cell, and the conventional water injection system proceeds quickly. It was difficult to stop the continuous thermal runaway phenomenon. Therefore, in this embodiment, when the battery pack 1000 internally ignites, the cooling member 500 melts or breaks at a predetermined temperature or pressure so that cooling water can be immediately supplied to the fire place (refer to FIG. 10, etc.) ) can be formed.

Cooling water in the water tank 2000 may not be circulated by the cooling system 60 .

It can be.

(2000) can be provided can improve the space efficiency of the battery rack (10).
- the cooling water may be easily injected from the water tank 2000 to the cooling member 500 by gravity. If the water tank 2000 is located lower than the cooling member 500, the water tank 2000 may need to include a pump to supply additional cooling water to the cooling member 500, but the water tank 2000 When positioned above the cooling member 500, cooling water can be supplied by gravity, which is advantageous in terms of simplifying the structure or design.
