PRESERVATIVE-FREE SKIN CLEANSING PRODUCT
Subject of the Invention
The invention relates to a skin cleansing product, which is suitable for use in the sensitive skin and is free of any additional antimicrobial preservative, wherein said skin cleansing product contains plant extract with high polyol content and thus, both exhibits therapeutic action and is microbiologically protected.
State of the Art
The skin is the part of the human body that is most exposed to the pathogens like virus and bacteria and to the contaminants during a day. Ensuring the hygiene of the skin, which serves the function of a barrier between the external environment and the internal organs/systems, is of great importance in order to protect the body health. Wet wipe is one of the skin cleansing products frequently used to ensure the skin hygiene. The wet wipes obtained by way of impregnation of a nonwoven fabric with compositions having certain properties and a high water content are preferred by the users for their ease of use and the cleaning they provide.
When the composition with high water content and the nonwoven fabric are brought together, the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria, mold and yeast in the skin cleansing product becomes inevitable. In order to prevent this situation, one or more than one preservative agent is added to the skin cleansing products, more specifically to the wet wipes. Hexamidine diisethionate, methylisothiazolinone, benzisothiazolinone, imidazolidinyl urea, diazolidinyl urea, polyaminopropyl biguanide and dimethyldimethylolhydantoin (DMDMH) are among said antimicrobial preservatives. The skin problems such irritation and rash develop in the sensitive skin, especially in the skin of the newborn, as a result of prolonged use of the products containing these and similar preservatives, depending on the concentrations and types of said preservatives. Since said preservatives are used generally in high concentrations, they disturb the structure of the
skin barrier, and thus, it becomes quite easy for the harmful microorganisms to penetrate and cause allergic reactions in the skin that has lost its moisture. The side effects caused by the antimicrobial preservatives commonly preferred in the state of the art on the skin of the humans, especially babies, are demonstrated also by the scientific studies.
The need has arisen to carry out an innovation in the related art in order to solve the problems mentioned above. With the present invention, a skin cleansing product, which is suitable for use in the sensitive skin and is free of any additional antimicrobial preservative, is provided, wherein said skin cleansing product contains plant extract with high polyol content and thus, both exhibits therapeutic action and is microbiologically protected.
Object of the Invention
An object of the invention is to develop a skin cleansing product, which is free of antimicrobial preservative agents and which is suitable for use especially in the sensitive skin and the skin of the newborn.
Another object of the invention is to develop a skin cleansing product, which, owing to the polyols it contains at high ratios, both exhibits therapeutic action on the skin and is protected microbiologically.
Another object of the invention is to develop a skin cleansing product, which produces soothing, relaxing, anti-irritant, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing effects on the skin.
Another object of the invention is to develop a skin cleansing product, which offers the user a purer content and a more reliable cleansing experience than the state of the art.
The structural and characteristic features and all the advantages of the invention will be more clearly understood owing to the detailed description provided below. Accordingly, the evaluation should be made taking this detailed description into consideration.
