Abstract

The invention relates to a piece of furniture (1) comprising at least two furniture modules (2) which can be releasably connected together. Each of the at least two furniture modules (2) comprises a frame (3), and the frame (3) defines an interior (4). In at least one interior (4) defined by a frame (3), at least one furniture fitting (5) for removably mounting a furniture component (42) relative to the frame (3) is secured or can be secured to the frame (3). Preferably, the at least one piece of furniture (1) comprises an intermediate module (6), wherein in particular the at least one intermediate module (6) comprises a frame which is similar to that of the at least two furniture modules (2).

The invention relates to a piece of furniture comprising at least two furniture modules that can be detachably connected to one another, the at least two furniture modules each comprising a frame, the frame spanning an interior space. The invention also relates to a method for producing a piece of furniture.

Furniture modules that can be comprehensively and detachably connected to one another are already known from the prior art. The size and shape of the furniture can be flexibly selected depending on the arrangement and number of furniture modules, and existing furniture can be expanded or reduced if required. A disadvantage of the existing prior art is that moveable furniture components are mounted directly on the frame or on the side walls of the furniture module.

The object of the present invention is to solve the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, a piece of furniture is to be created that includes furniture modules that can be releasably connected to one another, which enables low-friction, low-wear and low-noise storage of movable furniture components. In addition, a method for producing a piece of furniture with the stated advantages is to be created.

The disadvantages of the prior art are solved by the subject matter of claims 1 and 17 .

According to the invention it is provided that in at least one of a frame on stretched interior at least one furniture fitting for the movable mounting of a furniture component relative to the frame is attached or attachable to the frame. In the method according to the invention for producing a piece of furniture, at least one furniture fitting is fastened in the respective interior space stretched by a frame. In addition, the at least two furniture modules are arranged next to one another. The at least two furniture modules are also detachably connected to one another.

The furniture fitting, for example a guide for a drawer or a hinge for a furniture door, allows for low-friction, low-wear and low-noise storage of movable furniture components.

Provision can preferably be made for the at least one item of furniture to comprise an intermediate module, particularly preferably the at least one intermediate module comprising a frame of the same type as the at least two furniture modules. No furniture fitting has to be fastenable or fastened to the at least one intermediate module.

The interior space spanned by an intermediate module and at least one furniture module can represent a single storage space. For example, the common interior can only be completed by a furniture door, with the furniture fitting being arranged only on the furniture module and not on the intermediate module.

In a preferred exemplary embodiment, at least two of the at least two furniture modules can be arranged one on top of the other and/or at least two of the at least two furniture modules can be arranged next to one another. The at least two furniture modules are particularly preferably arranged directly next to one another. Analogously, at least one intermediate module and at least one furniture module can also be arranged one on top of the other and/or next to one another.

The entire arrangement of furniture modules and optionally intermediate modules then results in a piece of furniture.

Provision can be made for the at least two furniture modules and preferably at least one intermediate module to be arranged next to one another in such a way that the overall outer contour results in a substantially cuboid piece of furniture.

In particular, the entire arrangement of furniture modules and optionally intermediate modules can result in a substantially cuboid piece of furniture.

In a particularly preferred exemplary embodiment, all of the furniture modules and any intermediate modules have the same external dimensions and/or are essentially cuboid in shape. It is then very easy to put together a cuboid piece of furniture.

Provision can be made for the at least two furniture modules to be suitable for being used as furniture without a further furniture module. To this end, the at least two furniture modules each have their own frame, and each frame is preferably assigned to only one furniture module. Two furniture modules (or a furniture module and an intermediate module) therefore do not share the frame, in particular they do not share the frame either. In this way, for example, the uppermost furniture module and the lowermost furniture module can have the same shape.

In a further exemplary embodiment, the at least two furniture modules, and preferably at least one intermediate module, are on the top covered together by a cover plate and / or on at least one side together by at least one outer side wall. The entire arrangement of furniture modules and optionally intermediate modules is particularly preferably covered on the upper side and/or at least one side by a cover plate or an outer side wall.

A piece of furniture can thus be created in which the modular design is not apparent and which looks like conventional furniture. With a high quality of the cover plate and/or the outer side wall, a high-quality piece of furniture can be produced in a modular design. In particular, kitchen furniture for outdoor use can be created in this way.

In the production of such a piece of furniture, the furniture modules and, if necessary, intermediate modules are first arranged next to one another. A cover plate is then placed on top of the at least two furniture modules, and preferably at least one intermediate module, in such a way that the top of the at least two furniture modules, and preferably at least one intermediate module, is covered by a cover plate. Also, at least one outside wall is placed on at least one side of the at least two furniture modules, and preferably at least one intermediate module, such that the side of the at least two furniture modules, and preferably at least one intermediate module, is covered by the outside wall.

A fastening interface can be provided on the frame, by means of which the at least two furniture modules can be detachably connected to one another. Analogously to this, an intermediate module can also be connected to at least one furniture module. During the manufacture of a piece of furniture, the at least two furniture modules are detachably connected to one another via at least one fastening interface.

In particular, the attachment interface can be designed as at least one bore in a first furniture module and in a second furniture module, with a fastener being able to be guided through the at least two bores. The bores are preferably designed vertically. For example, the hole can be arranged in the frame, in particular in a bearing surface of the at least one furniture module. A screw and a nut or a pin, for example, can be provided as fastening means.

When a piece of furniture is being produced, the at least two furniture modules are arranged next to one another and at least one fastening means is guided through the hole in the first furniture module and the second furniture module.

In particular, the fastening interface can be designed as a hook and/or a pin on the first furniture module and a hole in the second furniture module.

When a piece of furniture is being produced, the hook and/or pin is inserted into the borehole of the second furniture module when the first furniture module and the second furniture module are arranged next to one another. The hook can get caught in the hole in the second furniture module, so that two furniture parts can be attached to one another in one step.

In particular, the attachment interface can be designed as a stop on a first furniture module that protrudes beyond the frame, with the second furniture module being able to be brought into contact with the stop of the first furniture module. In particular the stop can be formed on two, preferably four, sides and protrude laterally, for example, over an underside or an upper side of a frame.

When a piece of furniture is being produced, the second furniture module is brought into abutment with the stop of the first furniture module when it is arranged next to one another. The furniture modules can be safely stacked in this way, in particular when they are arranged one on top of the other.

In a particularly preferred exemplary embodiment, the at least one furniture module has at least one electrical connection interface, by means of which electrical signals and/or an electrical supply voltage can be transmitted between the at least two furniture modules.

At least one furniture module of the at least two furniture modules preferably comprises at least one electrical device, with electrical signals being able to be processed by the electrical device and/or with the electrical device being operable from the electrical supply voltage. Provision can particularly preferably be made for the at least one electrical device to be in the form of a lamp, a drive for the furniture fitting and/or a transmitting and/or receiving unit.

The electrical device can fulfill functional tasks in the piece of furniture: for example, the interior can be illuminated by means of a lamp in order to make it easier to find objects in it. The furniture fitting can have a drive so that a movable furniture component can be opened and/or ejected automatically. The furniture modules can communicate with one another by means of a transmitter and/or receiver unit, which means, for example, that a number of electrical furniture fittings can be actuated synchronously. Provision can be made for a furniture module to have a plug on a first side and a socket on a second side opposite the first side. The furniture modules can thus be connected in series by arranging them next to one another.

When a piece of furniture is being produced, when it is arranged next to one another, an electrical connection interface of the first furniture module is connected to a connection interface of the second furniture module.

Electrical signals are preferably transmitted from a first furniture module to a second furniture module, particularly preferably from a transmitter unit in a first furniture module to a receiver unit in a second furniture module. This means that the furniture modules can communicate with one another and/or with a unit outside of the furniture modules.

An electrical supply voltage can be transmitted from a first furniture module to a second furniture module, preferably with an electrical device, which is arranged in a furniture module, being operated by the electrical supply voltage. An electrical supply voltage can thus be routed through a number of furniture modules. Advantageously, the entire piece of furniture only has to be connected to a socket once, but not the individual ones

Furniture modules individually.

Analogous to this, intermediate modules can also have an electrical connection interface and, like the furniture modules, can be electrically connected to one another or to furniture modules. At least one furniture fitting can be formed as a guide rail, with a drawer being able to be guided in the guide rail.

A drawer can be arranged in the interior of the frame, preferably with the drawer having a panel, with the visible front side of the panel being shaped essentially flat.

At least one furniture fitting can be designed as a hinge. For example, a furniture door or a furniture flap can be arranged on the hinge.

At least one furniture fitting can be designed as a furniture fitting with an actuating arm. The furniture fitting can have a base body, the base body being shaped in such a way that the actuating arm can be subjected to mechanical and/or electrical force.

In a preferred exemplary embodiment, the frame has two side walls and a rear wall. It can be provided that the two side walls and the rear wall essentially consist of a bent sheet metal part with at least two bends, particularly preferably with a bending angle of 90°. The frame can thus essentially be produced from sheet metal.

In an alternative exemplary embodiment, the frame comprises a plurality of supports, with the supports spanning the interior space. The carriers preferably have a clear longitudinal direction. The supports can particularly preferably be made of metal, in particular steel.

It is preferably provided that the frame comprises a lower part and an upper part, the lower part and the upper part each comprise at least three horizontal carriers, a first horizontal carrier being connected to a second horizontal carrier and a second horizontal carrier being connected to a third horizontal carrier.

It can also be provided that the upper part and the lower part are arranged vertically offset from one another and are connected to one another via, preferably four, vertical supports, particularly preferably with the vertical supports each being connected to a horizontal support in an end region of a horizontal support.

In combination with this, a frame is created which spans an interior space.

The frame can therefore be formed as a sheet metal structure or as a support structure. If the frame is formed as a support structure, there need be no side wall and/or no rear wall. However, the support structure typically spans at least one imaginary side wall and/or an imaginary rear wall.

The at least one furniture fitting can be attached to a side wall of the frame. This is particularly the case when the frame is formed as a sheet metal construction, in which case the side walls are made of sheet metal.

The at least one furniture fitting can also be arranged in the area of an imaginary side wall, with the imaginary side wall being spanned by supports, in particular horizontal supports and vertical supports. For this purpose, in particular, further fastening supports can be provided for fastening the at least one furniture fitting, which are arranged on the imaginary side wall. Further exemplary embodiments and details can be seen in the figures. show:

the fig . 1a shows a furniture module 2 or an intermediate module 6 comprising a frame 3 which is formed from a bent piece of sheet metal.

The piece of sheet metal has at least two bends 25 , the two bends 25 having a bending angle of essentially 90°. The piece of sheet metal thus forms two side walls 23 and a rear wall 24 . The two side walls 23 and the rear wall 24 thus form a U-shaped frame 3 with a certain vertical extent.

An interior space 4 is spanned by the frame 3 , wherein in the interior space 4 at least one furniture fitting 5 can be fastened to the frame 3 for movably mounting a furniture component 42 relative to the frame 3 . The at least one furniture fitting 42 can be fastened in particular to bores 36 .

The side walls 23 and the rear wall 24 each have a horizontally arranged bearing surface 35 on their upper edge and on their lower edge. The bearing surfaces 35 are preferably also a part of the piece of sheet metal from which the side walls 23 and the rear wall 24 are formed. The bearing surface 35 is separated from the side walls 23 and the rear wall 24 by a bend with a bend angle of 90°. In each case, in particular three, bores 12 are arranged in the lateral bearing surfaces 35 . A fastening interface 11 for the detachable connection of two furniture modules 2 can be realized by means of these bores 12, as described in more detail in FIGS. 2a and 2b.

The rear support surface 35 has an electrical connection interface 14 for electrically connecting two furniture modules. The electrical connection interface 14 is described in more detail in FIGS. 7a to 7c.

The frame 3 can also be used as an intermediate module 6, especially if no furniture fitting 5 is attached to it.

the fig . 1b shows a furniture module 2 comprising the frame 3 from FIG. 1 a , wherein at least one, in particular two, furniture fittings 5 is fastened in the interior space 4 spanned by the frame 3 . In particular, a furniture fitting 5 is fastened to a side wall 23 in the bores 36 provided for this purpose.

The furniture fitting 5 is formed as a guide rail 16 , a drawer 17 being able to be guided in the guide rail 16 . The drawer 17 is shown in FIG. 1b but not shown. The guide rail 16 has a first part 37 which is fastened to a side wall 23 . A second part 38 of the guide rail, which can be fastened to a drawer 17, is displaceable relative to the first part 37.

the fig . 1c shows the furniture module 2 from FIG. 1b, wherein a drawer 17 is arranged in the interior 4. The drawer 17 has a panel 39 , the visible front side of the panel 39 being formed essentially flat. In particular, the panel 39 is so large that the entire frame 3 , in particular also the lateral support surfaces 35 , is covered by the panel 39 in a front view. The frame 3 is thus no longer visible in a front view, with which the design can be determined by the choice of the panel 39 .

At least two such furniture modules 2 can now be arranged next to one another and detachably connected to one another, so that a piece of furniture 1 is created.

the fig . 2a shows a piece of furniture 1 consisting of three furniture modules 2 arranged one on top of the other. The furniture modules 2 are each as shown in FIG. 1c and have two furniture fittings 5 , in particular guide rails 16 , arranged on the side walls 23 and in the interior 4 of the frame 4 , on which a drawer 17 with a panel 39 is mounted.

The at least one furniture module 2 is suitable for being used as furniture without a further furniture module 2 , the frame 3 being assigned only to this one furniture module 2 . In other words: two furniture modules 2 arranged next to one another do not share their frames 3 .

In the fig. The fastening interfaces 11 can also be seen in FIG. 2a, by means of which at least two furniture modules 2 can be detachably connected to one another. In particular, three fastening interfaces 11 are each arranged on the upper and lower lateral bearing surfaces 35 .

The connection of the uppermost, second furniture module 22 and the middle, first furniture module 21 is described below. The middle furniture module 21 is connected to the lower furniture module in the same way. The attachment interfaces 11 are each formed as a bore 12 in the first furniture module 21 and in the second furniture module 22 . In particular, the bores 12 in the first furniture module 21 are arranged in the upper, lateral support surface 35 and the bores 12 in the second furniture module 22 are arranged in the lower, lateral support surface 35 .

The bore 12 in the first furniture module 21 and the bore 12 in the second furniture module 22 are aligned one above the other, so that a fastening means 13 can be guided through the two bores 12 .

The fastener 13 is isolated in I in FIG. 2c, the fastening means 13 being designed here as a pin with a head 40 on one side and a beveled end 41 on the other side. Because of the bevelled end 41 , the fastener 13 can be easily guided through the bores 12 , hitting the head 40 on the upper, second furniture module 22 , in particular on the bearing surface 35 .

The first furniture module 22 and the second furniture module 21 are thus connected to one another in a detachable manner in a simple manner. An intermediate module 6 could also be connected to a furniture module 2 or another intermediate module 6 in the same way.

the fig . 3 shows a piece of furniture 1 consisting of six furniture modules 2 arranged one on top of the other and next to one another. In particular, the piece of furniture 1 consists of two stacks of three of furniture modules 2 arranged next to one another, as shown in FIG. 2a is shown. The furniture 1 white st thus a total of six drawers 17, each with a panel 39.

In both cases, FIG. 2a and FIG. 3 , the at least two furniture modules 2 are arranged next to one another in such a way that the overall outer contour results in a substantially cuboid piece of furniture 1 .

The detachable connection of two furniture modules 2 arranged one above the other can be realized as shown in FIGS. 2a to 2c. A detachable connection of two furniture modules arranged next to one another can be realized by means of fastening means other than one for the vertical connection, with the fastening means nevertheless being able to engage in the bores 12 . The horizontal connection is shown in FIG. 3 but not shown .

In the fig. 4 is the piece of furniture 1 from FIG. 3 with cover plate 9 and outside wall 10 . The furniture modules 2 are covered on the upper side 7 together by a cover plate 9 and on one side 8 together by an outer side wall 10 . An outside wall 10 can also be arranged on the side facing away and/or the rear of the piece of furniture 1 . Only the covers 39 of the drawers 17 are visible on the front of the furniture.

This means that the modular piece of furniture 1 can no longer be distinguished from conventional furniture.

The panels 39 , the cover plate 9 and the outside wall(s) 10 can be made of a weatherproof material. The piece of furniture 1 can thus be suitable as outdoor furniture. the fig . 5a shows a piece of furniture 1 comprising three furniture modules 2 arranged one on top of the other. A furniture fitting 5 , which is designed as a hinge 18 , is fastened to the upper and lower furniture module on a right-hand side wall 23 and in the interior space 4 spanned by the frame 3 .

The middle furniture module 2 can also be formed as an intermediate module 6 . In particular, a furniture fitting 5 does not have to be attachable to the middle furniture module 2 . There is also no need to provide bores 36 for fastening a furniture fitting 5 .

the fig . 5b shows the piece of furniture from FIG. 5a, wherein a movable furniture component 42, which is shaped as a furniture door, is also attached to the hinges 18. The interior 4 of the three furniture modules 2 is thus available as storage space.

Not in the fig. 5b shows intermediate floors, which can be introduced into the shared interior space 4 of the three furniture modules 2. These can be arranged, for example, in the border area of two furniture modules 2 and/or can be fastened in the bores 36 .

Also not shown is a floor which delimits the interior space 4 of the three furniture modules 2 at the bottom. A floor is not mandatory, for example if the floor on which the piece of furniture 1 stands is also suitable as a floor for the storage space.

the fig . 6a shows a further exemplary embodiment of a piece of furniture 1 with three furniture modules 2 arranged one on top of the other. Two furniture fittings 5 with an actuating arm 19 and a base body 45 are fastened to the uppermost furniture module 2 . In particular, the furniture fittings 5 are attached to the base body 45 on the side wall 23 of the furniture module 2 . A mechanism for applying a force to the actuating arm 19 can be arranged in the base body 45 . This can be accomplished mechanically or electrically, for example.

The two lower furniture modules 2 can also be formed as an intermediate module 6 . In particular, it is not necessary for a furniture fitting 5 to be able to be fastened to the two lower furniture modules 2 . There is also no need to provide bores 36 for fastening a furniture fitting 5 .

the fig . 6b shows the piece of furniture 1 from FIG. 6a, wherein a movable furniture element 42 in the form of a furniture flap is attached to the furniture fittings 5. The furniture flap can be opened upwards using the furniture fittings.

As in FIGS. 5a and 5b, intermediate floors and/or a floor can also be provided.

the fig . 7a shows the furniture module 2 from FIG. 1a in an alternative perspective view, in particular the frame 3 of the furniture module 2 . At least one electrical connection interface 14 is arranged on the furniture module 2 , by means of which electrical signals and/or an electrical supply voltage can be transmitted between at least two furniture modules.

As in the fig. 7b shown in a detailed view, a second electrical connection interface 14, which is designed as a plug 44, is arranged on an upper side of the furniture module 2, in particular the rear, upper support surface 35. As in the fig. 7c in a detailed view, a first electrical connection interface 14, which is designed as a socket 43, is arranged on an underside of the furniture module 2, in particular the rear, lower support surface 35.

the fig . 8a shows the piece of furniture 1 from FIG. 2a in a perspective rear view. The electrical connection interfaces 14 are clearly visible, with which two furniture modules 2 arranged one on top of the other can be electrically connected to one another.

As also in FIG. 2 a , the uppermost furniture module 2 is referred to as the second furniture module 22 and the middle furniture module 2 as the first furniture module 21 , the electrical connection of two furniture modules 2 being explained in more detail on the basis of these two furniture modules 2 .

the fig . 8b shows a detailed view of the electrical connection interface 14 of the first furniture module 21 and the second furniture module 22. FIG. The electrical connection interface 14 of the first furniture module 21 is in the form of a plug 44 , in particular a two-pin plug, and is arranged on the rear, upper support surface 35 . The electrical connection interface 14 of the second furniture module 22 is in the form of a socket 43 , in particular a two-pole socket, and is arranged on the rear, lower support surface 35 .

When the two furniture modules 21 , 22 are arranged one on top of the other, the electrical contact can also be made in one step by inserting the plug 44 into the socket 43 . In order not to damage the electrical connection interfaces 14 by moving the two furniture modules 21, 22 relative to one another, the furniture modules 21, 22 are also attached to the Fastening interfaces 11 fastened to one another by means of fastening means 13 .

Provision is preferably made for at least one furniture module 2 to comprise at least one electrical device, with electrical signals being able to be processed by the electrical device and/or with the electrical device being operable from the electrical supply voltage.

Electrical signals can thus be routed from a device in a furniture module 2 to the next furniture module 2 through the electrical connection interface 14, for example in order to be received there by a further device. In this way, devices in different furniture modules can communicate with one another.

A supply voltage can also be divided between the furniture modules 2, so that only one mains connection for the entire piece of furniture 1 is necessary.

The at least one electrical device can be in the form of a lamp, a drive for the furniture fitting 5 and/or a transmitter and receiver unit.

In particular, the base body 45 of the furniture fitting 5 with the actuating arm 19 from FIGS. 6a and 6b can include a drive for applying force to the actuating arm 19, which is to be supplied with electrical voltage and/or can receive or send control signals. Furniture fittings 5 can communicate with one another, for example to enable synchronized opening and closing of movable furniture components 42 .

Figures 1a to 8b each relate to furniture modules 2 which have a frame 3 made of sheet metal. However, the frame 3 can also be shaped differently. Figures 9a to 9d show furniture modules 2, which have a frame 3 from a support structure. In this case, the frame 3 comprises a plurality of supports 26, the supports 26 spanning the interior space 4.

9a shows in particular a furniture module 2 in which the frame 3 comprises a lower part 27 and an upper part 28. FIG. The lower part 27 comprises four horizontal beams 29, while the upper part 28 comprises three horizontal beams 29.

The upper part 28 and the lower part 27 are arranged vertically offset from one another and are connected to one another via four vertical supports 34 . The vertical supports 34 are each connected to a horizontal support 29 in an end region of a horizontal support 29 .

In detail, a first horizontal support 30 is connected to a second horizontal support 31 and a second horizontal support 31 is connected to a third horizontal support 32 in the case of the upper part 28 and the lower part 27 . The first horizontal support 30 is arranged orthogonally to the second horizontal support 31 and the second horizontal support 31 is arranged orthogonally to the third horizontal support 32 . The horizontal beams 29 are each connected to one another in an end region.

The lower part 27 also has a fourth horizontal support 33 , the first horizontal support 30 and the third horizontal support 32 being connected to one another via a fourth horizontal support 33 .

So that the lower part 27 is designed as a rectangular, closed frame and the upper part 28 as a rectangular, open frame. In an alternative exemplary embodiment of a furniture module 2 in FIG. 9b, both the upper part 28 and the lower part 27 are designed as an open, rectangular frame.
