Abstract
Appareil pour chauffer un fluide comprenant un boîtier externe et au moins un émetteur catalytique situé à l'intérieur du boîtier externe. L'émetteur catalytique est conçu pour la réaction d'un combustible gazeux et d'oxygène atmosphérique. Il y a une sortie pour que les gaz d'échappement sortent du boîtier externe et un trajet de gaz d'échappement s'étendant entre la sortie et le ou les émetteurs catalytiques. L'appareil comprend des moyens pour distribuer un combustible gazeux audit au moins un émetteur catalytique ; une entrée d'air pour permettre à l'air d'entrer dans le boîtier externe ; un échangeur de chaleur primaire et un échangeur de chaleur secondaire. Les échangeurs de chaleur ont des voies de passage de fluide à travers ceux-ci. L'échangeur de chaleur primaire est conçu pour absorber l'énergie thermique provenant d'au moins un émetteur catalytique et de l'échangeur de chaleur secondaire, est positionné à l'intérieur du trajet de gaz d'échappement et conçu pour absorber l'énergie thermique provenant des gaz d'échappement. Le ou lesdits émetteurs catalytiques comprennent un support de catalyseur, un catalyseur, des moyens pour distribuer du combustible au catalyseur et des moyens pour préchauffer le catalyseur. L'appareil comprend en outre au moins un passage d'entrée d'air, le ou lesditpassages d'entrée d'air reliant l'entrée d'air du boîtier externe au ou auxdits émetteurs catalytiques. La ou lesdites voies d'entrée d'air comprennent un ventilateur conçu pour aspirer de l'air à travers la ou lesdites voies d'entrée d'air vers le ou lesdits émetteurs catalytiques ; et le ou lesdits émetteurs catalytiques comprennent un carénage formé pour diriger un écoulement d'air depuis le trajet d'entrée d'air vers le support de catalyseur. Un appareil échangeur de chaleur est également divulgué.
