Definitions
- the present invention relates to a water-in-oil type solid cosmetic composition having an improved moisturizing effect by stably including an aqueous phase and an oil phase in an appropriate ratio.
- the conventional solid cosmetic composition refers to a formulation in which oil having excellent moisturizing ability is solidified, and is widely used as a moisturizing agent due to its high hardness and does not flow down.
- a normal solid cosmetic composition refers to an oil-dispersed formulation containing only oily ingredients and usually does not contain water-soluble ingredients.
- oil-dispersed solid cosmetic compositions are often composed only of silicone and other non-aqueous raw materials, and when these ingredients are applied to oily skin, they can clog the pores of the skin and cause serious trouble.
- the oil-dispersed solid cosmetic composition maintains its stickiness for a long time rather than permeating directly into the skin upon application, causing inconvenience in daily life, and when combined with other cosmetic compositions, the applied material is pushed away from the skin.
- the present inventors have made intensive research efforts to develop a water-in-oil type solid cosmetic composition having an appropriate ratio of the aqueous phase and the oil phase.
- the water-in-oil solid cosmetic composition containing the aqueous phase and the oil phase in an appropriate ratio has an effect of reducing stickiness, improving moisturizing feeling, and not causing skin trouble, compared to the existing oil-dispersible solid cosmetic composition consisting only of silicone and other non-aqueous raw materials. It was confirmed that it was excellent.
- an object of the present invention is to provide a water-in-oil solid cosmetic composition comprising an aqueous phase and an oil phase.
- One aspect of the present invention relates to a water in oil (W/O) solid cosmetic composition
- W/O water in oil

- the present invention relates to a water-in-oil solid cosmetic composition stably containing an aqueous phase and an oil phase, which can implement a stable formulation by including the aqueous phase and the oil phase in an appropriate ratio, and uses a large amount of water-soluble ingredients instead of conventional silicone and other non-aqueous ingredients. It does not cause skin trouble, reduces stickiness, and is effective in improving moisturizing.
- Example 1 is a graph showing a formulation of Example 1 according to an experimental example of the present invention.
- W/O water in oil
- Water-in-oil solid cosmetic compositions of Example 1 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 were prepared according to the ingredients and contents listed in Table 1 below.
- the oil phase surfactants 7 to 10 and wax, oil, and vegetable butters 11 to 19 were heated to 80 ° C. to completely dissolve them, and a homomixer ( homomixer) and stirred at 3500 rpm for 3 minutes.
- Example 1 1 day, 5 days, 1 week, 2 conditions of Example 1 and Comparative Example 1 at 4 °C, room temperature, 37 °C, 45 °C and cycle (change the storage temperature to -4 °C every 24 hours and perform three times)
- the stability of the formulation was evaluated for two weeks and four weeks, and the results are shown in Table 2 below.
- the evaluation criteria are as follows.
- Example 1 Comparative Example 1 1 day 4°C ⁇ ⁇ normal temperature ⁇ ⁇ 37 °C ⁇ ⁇ 45 °C ⁇ ⁇ Cycle ⁇ ⁇ 5 days 4°C ⁇ ⁇ normal temperature ⁇ ⁇ 37 °C ⁇ ⁇ 45 °C ⁇ ⁇ Cycle ⁇ ⁇ 1 week 4°C ⁇ ⁇ normal temperature ⁇ ⁇ 37 °C ⁇ ⁇ 45 °C ⁇ ⁇ Cycle ⁇ X 2 weeks 4°C ⁇ ⁇ normal temperature ⁇ ⁇ 37 °C ⁇ X 45 °C ⁇ X Cycle ⁇ X 4 weeks 4°C ⁇ ⁇ normal temperature ⁇ ⁇ 37 °C ⁇ X 45 °C ⁇ X Cycle ⁇ ⁇ X Cycle ⁇ ⁇ X
- Example 1 was confirmed to have excellent stability of the formulation under all temperature conditions, and that the outer surface hardened smoothly even during filling (FIG. 1).
- Comparative Example 1 contained an excessive amount of aqueous phase, so the formulation was unstable, and after 2 weeks, moisture evaporated and the product itself tended to shrink.
- Comparative Example 2 contained an excessive amount of oil phase, so it was impossible to observe stability because a solid formulation was not formed due to the leakage of oil.
- the aqueous phase and the oil phase should be included in a ratio of about 5:5.
- Example 1 About 10 healthy male/female subjects were selected and the skin moisture level was measured. A control group without application (no application), Example 1, and an experimental group with Comparative Example 1 applied were compared. The amount of moisture present in the skin epidermis was measured before the start of application, immediately after application, 2 hours after application, 4 hours after application, and 8 hours after application. The amount of moisture present in the skin epidermis was measured using a corneometer sensor.
- a corniometer is a machine that measures and digitizes the ion level of moisture to check the skin's moisturizing power. Skin moisture content was expressed in %, and was conducted under conditions of a constant temperature of 24 °C and a constant humidity (relative humidity) of 40%.
- the digitized electrical conductivity was confirmed on the screen through the sensor.
- the sensor was wiped with a tissue such as Kim's wipe, and the measurement was repeated several times at different measurement sites, and the change in moisture content over time was measured, and the results are shown in Table 3.
- Example 1 Comparative Example 1 0 hours 100.0 100.0 0.5hrs 185.7 168.9 2 hours 178.6 154.4 4 hours 155.0 136.8 8 hours 138.2 123.0
- Example 1 As can be seen in Table 3, in Example 1, the weight ratio of the aqueous phase and the oil phase was appropriately contained at about 5:5, so that the oil wrapped the skin after the aqueous phase penetrated the skin, and the moisturizing durability was highly evaluated. On the other hand, Comparative Example 1 contained a large amount of water phase and thus had a large amount of water evaporation, and also had a high powder content, so the moisture content of the skin surface was measured to be low.
- Example 1 including an aqueous phase and an oil phase in an appropriate ratio was superior to Comparative Example 1 in skin moisturizing evaluation.
- Example 1 and Comparative Example 1 were applied to both cheeks twice daily for 4 weeks to 5 males and females aged 20 to 40 years, and constant temperature and humidity before application, 2 weeks after application, and 4 weeks after application TEWL (Trans Epidermal Water Loss) was measured under the conditions (24°C, 40% relative humidity).
- TEWL Trans Epidermal Water Loss
- the amount of moisture evaporating from the skin was calculated according to the area and time, and the amount of moisture evaporating was read and digitized by the temperature and moisture electronic sensors to measure the moisturizing power of the skin.
- the temperature and humidity which are environmental conditions, were kept constant, and only a minimum number of people other than the measurer and the subject were left, and the flow of air was blocked as much as possible.
- the TEWL probe was lightly placed on the subject's measurement site and made to form an angle of 90 degrees with the ground. As time passed, the value at which the TEWL level of the skin became constant was measured for about 1 to 3 minutes, and the amount of moisture evaporated per hour per area (g/m 2 / h) was calculated and the results are shown in Table 4 below.
- Transepidermal water loss (%) [(Initial transepidermal water loss - Transepidermal water loss before sample use) / Transepidermal water loss before sample use] ⁇ 100
- Example 1 significantly reduced the water loss compared to Comparative Example 1. After 2 weeks of application, Example 1 maintained a water loss of about 40%, but Comparative Example 1 confirmed that the water loss increased to about 85%. And after 4 weeks of application, Example 1 maintained about 50% of the water loss, confirming that it had excellent skin moisturizing power.
- the present invention relates to a water-in-oil type solid cosmetic composition having an improved moisturizing effect by stably including an aqueous phase and an oil phase in an appropriate ratio.
