  • a base solution was made by dispersing 0.005 wt. % of naphthol blue black dye (available from Sigma-Aldrich) in water and adjusting the pH to 10 (using 0.1 M bicarbonate). To this solution hydrogen peroxide was added to provide a level of 20mM. For testing either 25ppm of bleach catalyst according to the invention was added, or (not according to the invention) bare Mn 2+ (as water soluble MnSOt), bare ferrous or ferric iron (as water soluble ferrous sulphate or ferric chloride) as controls. The final solution was incubated at 20 degrees Celsius for 20 hours after which the absorbance was measured at 629 nm. The results are given in the Table 1 below.

Abstract

L'invention concerne une composition de soin d'hygiène buccale comprenant : un arôme ; un agent de blanchiment ; un agent séquestrant acide organique non aromatique comprenant un ou plusieurs cations de fer (Fe), manganèse (Mn) et/ou cobalt (Co) liés par liaison covalente coordonnée ; et l'agent séquestrant acide organique non aromatique étant sensiblement exempt d'atomes de N ou de P liés par liaison covalente.
