Abstract

The present invention relates to an accessory for weights that can be used on one or two dumbbells (2) which are formed by a steel bar (3) with interchangeable discs (4) that are attached by fasteners (5) close to the ends on both sides of the same bar. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The invention, as expressed in the statement of the present descriptive memory, refers to an accessory for weights that provides, to the function for which it is intended, advantages and characteristics that are described in detail below.

The object of the present invention falls on an accessory made up of at least one variable-configuration grip piece that is specially designed to allow it to be incorporated in a removable manner and, where appropriate, interchangeable between different models of the same to the bar. a weight, particularly a dumbbell made up of a bar and interchangeable discs, providing the possibility of expanding the way it is held and, with it, the range of muscular exercises to be performed, avoiding having to have different types of weights .

FIELD OF APPLICATION OF THE INVENTION The field of application of the present invention falls within the sector of the industry dedicated to the manufacture of gymnastic equipment, focusing particularly on the field of weights and more specifically on the accessories for the same. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

As is known, the weights most frequently used and which take up less space, especially in the private sector but also in gyms or sports facilities, are dumbbells. However, the muscular exercises that can be performed with them, consisting simply of a bar with weights on both sides, are limited, since, on the one hand, the length of the bar is short, as it is designed to be held with a one hand and, at most, the weights are interchangeable to increase or decrease the force to be lifted, for example in the case of plates or discs that are incorporated by the ends and are fixed by means of collars or safety clamps.

This means that, when the user wishes to perform other exercises, he is forced to use other devices or different weights, which leads to an increase in the space occupied and also to an increase in the cost of acquisition.

The objective of the present invention is, therefore, to provide the market with an accessory element that makes it possible to modify and expand the possibilities of use of dumbbells so that, simply by adding one model or another of the accessory, different muscle-building exercises can be performed with the same dumbbell, either with one or both hands, or even with your feet.

On the other hand, and as a reference to the current state of the art, it should be noted that, at least by the applicant, the existence of any other accessory for weights, or any other invention with a similar application, that presents technical and technical characteristics is unknown. structural equal or similar to those presented by the accessory that is claimed here.

EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

The accessory for weights that the invention proposes is configured as the ideal solution to the aforementioned objective, the characterizing details that make it possible and that distinguish it conveniently included in the final claims that accompany this description.

Specifically, what the invention proposes, as previously noted, is an accessory for muscle training weights that, made up of at least one variable-configuration grip piece, is specially designed to be removable, and in appropriate to be able to exchange it between different models of the same, to the bar of a dumbbell, preferably one of those formed by a steel bar and interchangeable plates or discs, providing the possibility of expanding the way of holding the dumbbell and, with this, being able to perform different types of muscle exercises, with the advantage of avoiding the need to have different types of weights or devices to perform said exercises as well as taking up less space.

To this end, and more specifically, the accessory for weights that is the object of the invention is essentially configured from at least one tubular part, preferably metallic, that includes at least one hand or foot grip member and fixing means that allow its removable coupling to the bar of the dumbbell. And, based on said general characteristics, the accessory of the invention It presents various implementation options designed to provide different possibilities of use, in addition to using one hand as usual, either with two hands or with one or both feet, to perform a multitude of different muscle-building exercises.

Thus, in one embodiment, the described accessory comprises two straight tubular pieces with respective manual grip members and coaxial coupling to the respective ends of the bar, on the outside of the position of the discs, so that the length of it, allowing the use of the dumbbell as a bar for weight lifting.

In another embodiment variant, the accessory of the invention comprises two angular tubular pieces with respective manual grip members and coupled at an angle to the respective ends of the bar, on the outside of the discs, so that, while The length of the bar is extended, the grip angle of the bar is modified with both hands, allowing use as an angled barbell.

In another embodiment, the accessory comprises a single tubular piece that can be attached to the central part of the bar of the dumbbell that defines a Y configuration with two symmetrical manual grip members at an angle to the axis of the bar for holding the the dumbbell with both hands.

In another embodiment option of the accessory of the invention, it is made up of a single tubular piece with a branched configuration with articulated ends with a manual grip for its central coupling to the bar of the dumbbell in such a way that it allows positioning said ends in different positions, as required. want.

In another embodiment option of the invention, the accessory comprises two branched tubular pieces with two fixed branches each provided with a manual grip for coaxial coupling to each end of the dumbbell bar, such that the user can use one or another of the grips depending on the type of exercise you want to perform, without the need to change the accessory.

In another option for making the accessory, it comprises a tubular piece in the shape of a long bar with various configurations and fixing means at both ends of the same, being intended in this case for its coupling inserted between the respective bars of two dumbbells allowing them to be converted on a bench or shoulder weight machine.

Optionally, the tubular piece in the form of a bar can comprise an anchoring ring to insert the cable of a pulley and allow its use in a pulley weight machine.

In another embodiment option, the tubular piece that it comprises is also intended to be inserted between two dumbbells having a rectangular, flat or central angled frame shape, and several manual grip members integrated between the larger sides of the same, in different number and arrangement options, oblique and/or perpendicular, to be able to hold the set with both hands perpendicular or practically perpendicular to the axial axis of the dumbbell bars and to be able to do so with more or less separation, depending on the exercise to be performed.

Optionally, the tubular piece in the form of a rectangular frame can include a holed appendage for fixing to insert the end of a long bar of weights and to be able to perform exercises with it resting on the ground at the opposite end.

In another embodiment option, the tubular piece has a configuration in the form of a closed or open hexagonal fence, suitable for the user to pass his body through, and hold it with separate manual grip elements provided on both sides of the interior of said fence to perform different exercises.

In another option for making the accessory, the tubular piece is in the shape of a lying C, V, double TT or oblique double TT and has fixing means for its centered coupling between the bars of two dumbbells. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

In view of the aforementioned figures, and in accordance with the numbering adopted, it is possible to observe in them different examples of several options for non-limiting realization of the accessory for weights of the invention, which includes what is described in greater detail below. .

Thus, as can be seen in said figures, the accessory (1) of the invention, applicable to be used in a dumbbell (2), preferably a dumbbell (2) of those formed by a steel bar (3) with interchangeable discs (4) that are fixed on both sides of it near its ends by means of appropriate fasteners (5), such as the one shown in figure 1, essentially comprises:
