Description

モータ駆動装置およびそれを有する空気調和装置の室外機
 本開示は、モータを駆動するモータ駆動装置およびそれを有する空気調和装置の室外機に関する。
 従来、圧縮機の過負荷を防止するために、圧縮機のモータを駆動する半導体素子と、半導体素子に直流電源を供給する電源回路と、圧縮機の外郭の熱を検知する温度センサとを有する圧縮機駆動装置が知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。特許文献1に開示された圧縮機駆動装置において、温度センサは、電源回路から半導体素子に直流電源が供給されるラインに接続されている。温度センサは、検知する温度が所定の温度以上になると、直流電源を遮断する。これにより、圧縮機の運転が停止する。
 特許文献1に開示された圧縮機駆動装置の過熱保護手段は、圧縮機外郭の温度が所定の温度以上になったときに動作するが、温度センサが検知する温度はモータの外郭の温度であり、実際の内部のモータの巻線の温度との誤差が大きい場合がある。例えば、圧縮機の周囲の温度が高い場合、モータの巻線の温度が低くても、温度センサが検知する温度が所定の温度以上になり、圧縮機の運転が停止してしまうことがある。
 過熱保護手段の別の例として、FA(Factory Automation)において、電磁接触器とサーマルリレーとが組み合わされた電磁開閉器が用いられている(例えば、特許文献2参照)。圧縮機の過熱保護手段として特許文献2の電磁接触器を用いる場合、インバータとモータとの間の電力線にサーマルリレーの電流検知部と、電磁接触器とが取り付けられる。電力線に過電流が流れると、サーマルリレー内の電流検知部が作動し、サーマルリレーのリレー部が動作する。リレー部の動作によって、電磁接触器が作動することで、インバータとモータとの間の電力線が遮断される。

 特許文献1に開示された過熱保護手段においては、圧縮機の周囲の温度である環境温度の影響が大きいという問題があった。一方、特許文献2に開示された電磁開閉器においては、電力線の遮断に電磁接触器が用いられているため、圧縮機のモータを駆動する装置の製造コストが高くなるという問題があった。
 本開示は、上記のような課題を解決するためになされたもので、環境温度による影響が小さく、かつ、製造コストを低減したモータ駆動装置およびそれを有する空気調和装置の室外機を提供するものである。
 本開示に係るモータ駆動装置は、モータを駆動するインバータ回路と、制御用電圧が供給され、前記インバータ回路に駆動信号を出力する駆動回路と、前記駆動回路への前記制御用電圧の供給を遮断するリレーと、を有し、前記リレーは、前記インバータ回路から前記モータに出力されるモータ電流を検知し、前記モータ電流が予め決められた第1閾値以上になると、前記駆動回路への前記制御用電圧の供給を遮断するものである。
 本開示に係る空気調和装置の室外機は、冷凍サイクル回路の一部を構成するアクチュエータと、前記アクチュエータに設けられたモータと、前記モータを駆動する上記のモータ駆動装置と、を有するものである。
 本開示によれば、モータ電流がモータに供給される電力線にモータ電流を遮断する電磁接触器が設けられていなくても、モータ電流が第1閾値以上になると、リレーが駆動回路への制御用電圧の供給を遮断することで、インバータ回路の出力を停止することができる。そのため、製品の製造コストを低減できるだけでなく、環境温度による影響が小さく、過電流に対する保護の信頼性が向上する。

実施の形態1.
 本実施の形態1の空気調和装置の構成を説明する。図1は、実施の形態1に係る室外機を含む空気調和装置の一構成例を示す冷媒回路図である。図2は、実施の形態1に係るモータ駆動装置を含む制御装置の一構成例を示す図である。
 図1に示すように、空気調和装置100は、室外機1と、室内機2とを有する。室外機1は、圧縮機3と、熱源側熱交換器4と、ファン5と、四方弁6と、膨張弁8と、制御装置12とを有する。室内機2は、負荷側熱交換器7と、ファン9とを有する。膨張弁8は、例えば、電子膨張弁である。制御装置12は、図に示さない配線を介して、圧縮機3、ファン5、四方弁6、膨張弁8およびファン9と接続されている。圧縮機3は吸入する冷媒を圧縮して吐出する。圧縮機3は、例えば、容量を変えることができるインバータ圧縮機である。ファン5は、外気を熱源側熱交換器4に供給する。熱源側熱交換器4は、冷媒を外気と熱交換させる熱交換器である。
 圧縮機3、熱源側熱交換器4、膨張弁8および負荷側熱交換器7が冷媒配管によって接続され、冷媒が循環する冷媒回路10が構成される。圧縮機3、熱源側熱交換器4、ファン5、膨張弁8、負荷側熱交換器7およびファン9は、冷凍サイクル回路を構成する。
 図2を参照して、本実施の形態1の制御装置12の構成を説明する。制御装置12は、外部の電源系統11と接続されるノイズフィルタ回路31と、メイン基板13と、モータ16を駆動するモータ駆動装置15とを有する。モータ16は、図1に示した圧縮機3およびファン5のアクチュエータのうち、一方または両方のモータとして用いられる。
 電源系統11は、交流電源である。図2は、電源系統11が三相3線式の電源であることを示しているが、三相4線式であってもよく、単相であってもよい。また、電源系統11の電圧は、例えば、200Vであるが、400V以上であってもよい。電源系統11の電圧によって、制御装置12の内部の部品の耐圧が異なるが、本実施の形態1においては、内部の部品の仕様を考慮することを省略し、単に電源電圧として説明する。
 ノイズフィルタ回路31は、電源系統11からの雷等のサージ電圧によってメイン基板13およびモータ駆動装置15が破壊されることを防ぐ雷サージ対策素子(図示せず)と、インバータの半導体スイッチングによって発生するノイズを除去するノイズ対策素子(図示せず)とを有する。雷サージ対策素子は、例えば、アレスタ、バリアブルレジスタおよびヒューズなどである。ノイズ対策素子は、例えば、コモンモードチョークコイルおよび高耐電圧フィルムコンデンサなどである。
 ノイズフィルタ回路31は、3本の入力線を介して電源系統11と接続され、3本の出力線を介してモータ駆動装置15と接続されている。ノイズフィルタ回路31の3本の出力線のうち、2本の出力線を介してメイン基板13が、モータ駆動装置15と並列にノイズフィルタ回路31に接続されている。
 メイン基板13は、メインコントローラ33と、メイン電源回路32とを有する。モータ駆動装置15は、モータ駆動部21と、インバータ制御部22と、リレー17とを有する。モータ駆動部21は、整流ダイオード58と、直流リアクタ57と、主電解コンデンサ56と、インバータ回路55とを有する。リレー17は、モータ駆動部21とモータ16との間に設けられている。リレー17は、モータ駆動部21からモータ16に直流電圧が供給される電力線と接続されている。本実施の形態1においては、リレー17がサーマルリレーの場合で説明する。
 インバータ制御部22は、モータコントローラ43と、モータ制御用電源回路52と、駆動回路53と、平滑化コンデンサ64と、過電流検知回路65と、リセット回路66と、ラッチ回路67と、電流検知回路70と、母線電圧検知回路71と、コネクタ51とを有する。メインコントローラ33とモータコントローラ43とは通信線14で接続され、互いに通信線14を介して情報を送受信する。
 はじめに、メイン基板13の構成を説明する。メイン電源回路32は、ノイズフィルタ回路31から2本の出力線を介して供給される一相の電圧を、メインコントローラ33用の電圧であるメイン制御用電圧と、モータ駆動装置15用の電圧であるモータ制御用電圧62とに変換する。メイン電源回路32は、メイン制御用電圧をメインコントローラ33に供給する。メイン制御用電圧は、例えば、3.3Vまたは5Vである。メイン電源回路32は、モータ駆動装置15に第1電源線44および第2電源線45を介して、モータ制御用電圧62を供給する。モータ制御用電圧62は、例えば、インバータ回路55の動作に必要な15~20Vである。第2電源線45が接地電位の場合、第1電源線44には、+15V~20Vが印加される。
 空気調和装置100の室外機1には、動作のために電圧を必要とするアクチュエータが複数設けられている。動作のために電圧を必要とするアクチュエータは、圧縮機3およびファン5のモータ16の他にも、例えば、図に示さない電子膨張弁、電磁弁、リレーおよびマグネットなどがある。メイン電源回路32は、これらのアクチュエータに必要な電圧を生成するが、モータ駆動装置15と直接関係がないため、その詳細な説明を省略する。
 このように、メイン電源回路32は、複数のアクチュエータの電源と、駆動回路53およびモータコントローラ43のそれぞれを動作させる電源の元になるモータ制御用電圧62を生成する。なお、メイン電源回路32は、モータ駆動装置15に設けられていてもよい。
 メインコントローラ33は、例えば、マイクロコンピュータである。メインコントローラ33は、モータ駆動装置15のモータコントローラ43と、シリアル通信等で通信線14を介して情報を送受信する。メインコントローラ33からモータコントローラ43に送信される情報は、例えば、空気調和装置100の運転に関する設定情報、ならびに圧縮機3およびファン5のモータ16を駆動するためのパラメータ等の情報である。
 次に、モータ駆動装置15の構成を説明する。はじめに、モータ駆動部21の構成を説明する。整流ダイオード58は、ノイズフィルタ回路31を介して、電源系統11から供給される交流電圧を直流の母線電圧に変換する。直流リアクタ57は、インバータ回路55が動作したときに発生する高調波電流が電源系統11に流出することを抑制する。主電解コンデンサ56は、整流ダイオード58から2本の母線を介して出力される母線電圧を平滑化する。主電解コンデンサ56の端子間の電位差の情報が信号線(図示せず)を介して母線電圧検知回路71に入力される。
 インバータ回路55は、IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor)およびMOS-FET(Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor)等の半導体素子で構成される複数のスイッチング素子を有する。スイッチング素子の数は、モータ16の相数に対応している。例えば、U相、V相およびW相の三相インバータの場合、インバータ回路55は6つのスイッチング素子を有する。単相インバータの場合、インバータ回路55は4つのスイッチング素子を有する。
 図3は、図2に示したインバータ回路の一構成例を示す回路図である。図3に示すインバータ回路55は、6つのスイッチング素子23を有する三相インバータの場合である。各スイッチング素子23は、図2に示した駆動信号線54を介して、駆動回路53から入力される駆動信号にしたがって動作する。駆動信号は、例えば、PWM(Pulse Width Modulation)制御信号である。スイッチング素子23がPWM制御信号にしたがってスイッチング動作することで、インバータ回路55は、PWM制御信号に対応した電圧の交流電圧をモータ16に供給し、モータ16を駆動させる。
 整流ダイオード58およびインバータ回路55間の2本の母線のうち、1本の母線に母線電流検知部68が設けられている。母線電流検知部68は、例えば、シャント抵抗またはホール効果素子である。母線電流検知部68は、母線の過電流を検知する。母線電流検知部68は、インバータ制御部22の過電流検知回路65と接続されている。母線電流検知部68は、母線に流れる電流の情報を過電流検知回路65に出力する。
 インバータ回路55とモータ16との間に電流検知部69aおよび69bが設けられている。電流検知部69aおよび69bは、インバータ制御部22の電流検知回路70と接続されている。電流検知部69aおよび69bは、インバータ回路55からモータ16に供給される電流であるモータ電流を検知して、検知した情報を電流検知回路70に出力する。電流検知部69aおよび69bは、例えば、抵抗素子である。
 次に、インバータ制御部22の構成を、図2を参照して説明する。コネクタ51は、第1端子46および第2端子47を有する。第1端子46に、メイン電源回路32から延びる第1電源線44および第2電源線45の2本の電源線のうち、第1電源線44がリレー17を介して接続されている。また、第2端子47に、第2電源線45が接続されている。コネクタ51に対して駆動回路53およびモータ制御用電源回路52が並列に接続されている。つまり、コネクタ51と駆動回路53とを接続する2本の電源線が途中で分岐して、モータ制御用電源回路52に接続されている。コネクタ51から駆動回路53に供給されるモータ制御用電圧62をインバータ駆動電圧61と称し、コネクタ51からモータ制御用電源回路52に供給されるモータ制御用電圧62をインバータ制御電圧63と称する。
 平滑化コンデンサ64は、インバータ制御電圧63を平滑化する。モータ制御用電源回路52は、コネクタ51を介して入力されるインバータ制御電圧63をモータコントローラ43の動作用電圧に変換し、変換した動作用電圧をモータコントローラ43に供給する。動作用電圧は、例えば、3.3Vまたは5Vである。
 モータコントローラ43は、母線電圧検知回路71、ラッチ回路67、電流検知回路70、リセット回路66および駆動回路53と接続されている。母線電圧検知回路71は、主電解コンデンサ56の電位差の情報をモータコントローラ43に出力する。
 過電流検知回路65は、ラッチ回路67と接続されている。過電流検知回路65は、母線電流が過電流であるか否かの判定基準である第2閾値を予め保持している。過電流検知回路65は、母線電流が第2閾値以上であるか否かを判定し、母線電流が第2閾値以上である場合、過電流検知信号をラッチ回路67に出力する。ラッチ回路67は、過電流検知回路65から過電流検知信号を受信すると、過電流検知信号を保持し、過電流検知信号をモータコントローラ43および駆動回路53に出力する。
 電流検知回路70は、電流検知部69aおよび69bからモータ電流の情報を受信すると、モータ電流の情報をモータコントローラ43に送信する。また、電流検知回路70は、モータ電流が過電流であるか否かの判定基準である第3閾値を予め保持している。電流検知回路70は、モータ電流が第3閾値以上であるか否かを判定し、モータ電流が第3閾値以上である場合、過電流検知信号をモータコントローラ43に出力する。リセット回路66は、外部からリセット信号が入力されると、リセット信号をモータコントローラ43に送信する。
 モータコントローラ43は、例えば、マイクロコンピュータである。モータコントローラ43は、空気調和装置100に関する設定情報およびモータ16を駆動するためのパラメータの情報と、母線電圧検知回路71から受信する電位差の情報と、電流検知回路70から受信するモータ電流の情報とに基づいて、駆動回路53を制御する。例えば、モータコントローラ43は、母線電圧検知回路71から受信する電位差が決められた基準範囲になるようにするとともに、モータ電流を設定情報に対応した値に近づけるパラメータ情報を含む制御情報を生成し、生成した制御情報を駆動回路53に送信する。
 モータコントローラ43は、ラッチ回路67または電流検知回路70から過電流検知信号を受信すると、駆動回路53に停止することを指示する旨の停止信号を駆動回路53に送信する。モータコントローラ43は、モータ制御用電源回路52からの動作用電圧の供給が停止すると、駆動回路53に対する制御を停止する。モータコントローラ43は、通信線14を介して、母線電圧およびモータ電流などモータ駆動装置15の動作に関する情報およびモータ16の制御に対するフィードバック情報をリアルタイムでメインコントローラ33に送信する。
 駆動回路53には、コネクタ51を介して、インバータ駆動電圧61が供給される。駆動回路53は、図に示さない電力線を介して、インバータ駆動電圧61をインバータ回路55に供給する。駆動回路53は、設定情報に対応してモータ16を駆動させるPWM制御信号を、モータコントローラ43から受信する制御情報に基づいて生成する。駆動回路53は、PWM波形信号を、駆動信号線54を介してインバータ回路55に出力する。
 駆動回路53は、モータコントローラ43から停止信号を受信すると、PWM波形信号を出力する動作を停止する。駆動回路53は、ラッチ回路67から過電流検知信号を受信すると、PWM波形信号を出力する動作を停止する。モータコントローラ43またはラッチ回路67が故障しても、インバータ回路55の出力を停止させることができる。
 駆動回路53は、モータコントローラ43から停止信号を受信し、ラッチ回路67から過電流検知信号を受信すると、これらの信号のうち、早く受信した信号にしたがって動作を停止する。駆動回路53は、早く受信した異常通知信号によってPWM波形信号を出力する動作を停止するので、より早くインバータ回路55の出力を停止させることができる。
 次に、図2に示したリレー17の構成を説明する。リレー17は、電流検知部91と、リレー部92とを有する。電流検知部91は、インバータ回路55からモータ電流がモータ16に供給される電力線に設けられている。電流検知部91の材料は、発熱によって線形に変形する特性を持つものである。電流検知部91の材料は、例えば、バイメタルである。電流検知部91は、モータ電流が予め決められた第1閾値以上になったときの発熱によって変形する。
 リレー部92は、駆動回路53に制御用電圧が供給される第1電源線44および第2電源線45からなる2本の電源線のうち、第1電源線44を接続状態または開放状態に切り替える。リレー部92は、電流検知部91が変形すると、第1電源線44を接続状態から開放状態に切り替える。
 図4は、リレー部の動作原理の一例を示す模式図である。図4において、説明の便宜上、方向を定義する2つの軸(X軸およびY軸)の矢印を表示している。図4は、リレー部周辺を拡大して示す。電流検知部91はバイメタル93で構成される。バイメタル93は3本の電力線のそれぞれに設けられているが、ここでは、説明を簡単にするために、電力線が1本の場合で説明する。リレー部92は、バイメタル93の一端に絶縁体94を介して金属板95が取り付けられた構成を有する。絶縁体94は、例えば、合成樹脂である。
 図4の接続状態においては、メイン電源回路32からリレー部92に延びる第1電源線44aが、リレー部92からコネクタ51に延びる第1電源線44bと金属板95を介して電気的に接続されている。また、リレー部92の状態をラッチするラッチピン96が設けられている。ラッチピン96は、絶縁性の棒形状であり、予め決められた方向にだけ可撓性のあるピンである。図4を参照して説明すると、ラッチピン96は図4のX軸矢印方向には曲がるが、図4のX軸矢印の反対方向には曲がらない構成である。図4のラッチピン96は、図に示さない絶縁性の板に固定されている。
 図4の接続状態に示す状態から、モータ電流が第1閾値以上になると、バイメタル93が発熱により変形して湾曲する。その結果、図4の開放状態に示すように、絶縁体94および金属板95が第1電源線44aおよび第1電源線44bから離れ、金属板95がラッチピン96の位置を超える。金属板95が元の位置に戻ろうとしても、その移動がラッチピン96によって妨げられる。第1電源線44aおよび第1電源線44bが金属板95から離れた状態が維持される。このようにして、メイン電源回路32からコネクタ51への電力供給が遮断される。第1電源線44aおよび44bに流れる電流はインバータ回路55から電力線を介してモータ16に流れるモータ電流に比べて小さい。そのため、図4に示すように、第1電源線44aおよび44bが金属板95から離れて、接続状態から開放状態になっても、モータ駆動装置15の内部回路への影響が小さくてすむ。
 サーマルリレーには、自動復帰型および手動復帰型がある。自動復帰型は、モータ電流が予め決められた閾値より小さくなることで温度が下がると、リレーの接点が復帰して、モータへのモータ電流の供給が再度、開始されるものである。図4に示すリレー17は、手動復帰型のサーマルリレーである。そのため、図4を参照して説明したように、リレー17は、一度、開放状態になるとラッチ機能が働くため、モータ電流が下がってバイメタル93の温度が低下しても、接点が復帰しない構成である。手動復帰型のリレーの場合、作業者が手動でラッチを解除しなければ、接点が復帰しない。リレーが自動復帰型の場合、リレーによって電流供給が遮断されても、自動的に接点が復帰するので、モータに何度も大きな電流が流れて、モータが過熱してしまうおそれがある。これに対して、本実施の形態1では、リレー17が手動復帰型なので、モータ16に大きな電流が何度も流れてしまうことを防止できる。
 なお、図4を参照して、リレー17がサーマルリレーの場合で説明したが、リレー17は、ソフトウェアによらずに、モータ電流が過剰になると、駆動回路53への制御用電圧の供給を遮断する機能を備えていればよく、本実施の形態1のリレー17はサーマルリレーに限らない。また、図4はリレー17の動作原理を説明するための図であり、リレー17は図4に示す構成に限定されない。
 次に、本実施の形態1のモータ駆動装置15の動作を説明する。電源系統11の交流の電源電圧が制御装置12に供給されると、電源電圧がノイズフィルタ回路31を通過する。ノイズフィルタ回路31を通過した電源電圧は、整流ダイオード58によって交流から直流に変換される。直流に変換された電源電圧は、主電解コンデンサ56によって平滑化され、滑らかなインバータ回路55のための母線電圧となる。
 メイン電源回路32は、ノイズフィルタ回路31から供給される一相の電圧を、モータ駆動装置15用の電圧であるモータ制御用電圧62に変換し、モータ制御用電圧62をモータ駆動装置15に供給する。メイン電源回路32から第1電源線44および第2電源線45を介して、モータ制御用電圧62がモータ駆動装置15に供給される。モータ制御用電圧62はリレー17およびコネクタ51を介して、駆動回路53に供給される。また、モータ制御用電圧62は、コネクタ51から分岐してモータ制御用電源回路52に供給され、モータ制御用電源回路52から動作用電圧がモータコントローラ43に供給される。
 モータコントローラ43は、モータ電流を設定情報に対応した値に近づけるパラメータ情報を含む制御情報を生成し、生成した制御情報を駆動回路53に送信する。駆動回路53は、設定情報に対応してモータ16を駆動させるPWM制御信号を、モータコントローラ43から受信する制御情報に基づいて生成する。駆動回路53は、PWM波形信号を、駆動信号線54を介してインバータ回路55に出力する。インバータ回路55は、電力線を介してPWM制御信号に対応した電圧の交流電圧をモータ16に供給し、モータ16を駆動させる。
 次に、リレー17の動作について説明する。電流検知部91は、インバータ回路55からモータ電流が第1閾値以上になると、発熱によって変形する。リレー部92は、電流検知部91が変形すると、第1電源線44を接続状態から開放状態に切り替える。これにより、第1電源線44および第2電源線45を介して駆動回路53およびモータ制御用電源回路52に供給されるモータ制御用電圧62の供給が遮断され、駆動回路53およびモータコントローラ43への電力供給が停止する。これにより、駆動回路53およびモータコントローラ43の一方または両方が動作を停止し、インバータ回路55の出力が停止する。その結果、モータ電流の過電流によってモータ16が損傷することを防止することができる。
 ここで、過電流の発生の有無を判定する基準となる各閾値の関係を説明する。上述したように、本実施の形態1のモータ駆動装置15は、過電流の発生の有無が3カ所で判定される。具体的には、リレー17は、電流検知部91によって検知されるモータ電流が第1閾値以上か否かを判定する。過電流検知回路65は、母線電流検知部68によって検知される電流が第2閾値以上か否かを判定する。電流検知回路70は、電流検知部69aおよび69bによって検知されるモータ電流が第3閾値以上であるか否かを判定する。
 本実施の形態1において、第1閾値をThc1とし、第2閾値をThc2とし、第3閾値をThc3とし、モータ16の巻線の絶縁性が確保される電流の上限値をMaxcとすると、これらの値の関係は、式(1)で表される関係であることが望ましい。

 式(1)のように設定することで、インバータ回路55が正常に動作しているとき、リレー17によって駆動回路53への電力供給が停止されることがない。また、モータ16の巻線の絶縁性が熱で劣化しても、巻線が地絡する前にモータ16を停止できる。
 本実施の形態1において、モータ16が異常動作した場合の動作例を説明する。圧縮機3またはファン5のモータ16がロック状態になった場合、脱調状態となり、モータ16の巻線に過電流が流れる。基本的には、過電流検知回路65および電流検知回路70のうち、一方または両方によって過電流が検知され、モータ16は安全に停止することができる。しかしながら、過電流検知回路65、電流検知回路70およびモータコントローラ43の故障などにより、これらの回路による電気的な異常回避手段による保護が機能しないおそれがある。これらの電気的な異常回避手段が機能しない場合でも、本実施の形態1においては、リレー17が動作する。ソフトウェアおよびセンサに頼らずに、リレー17による機械的な異常回避手段が確実に動作するため、上述したように、駆動回路53およびモータコントローラ43への電力供給が停止し、モータ16を安全に停止させることができる。
 本実施の形態1のモータ駆動装置15は、モータ16を駆動するインバータ回路55と、制御用電圧が供給され、インバータ回路55に駆動信号を出力する駆動回路53と、駆動回路53への制御用電圧の供給を遮断するリレー17とを有する。リレー17は、インバータ回路55からモータ16に出力されるモータ電流を検知し、モータ電流が第1閾値以上になると、駆動回路53への制御用電圧の供給を遮断する。
 本実施の形態1によれば、モータ電流がモータに供給される電力線にモータ電流を遮断する電磁接触器が設けられていなくても、モータ電流が第1閾値以上になると、リレー17が駆動回路53への制御用電圧の供給を遮断することで、インバータ回路55の出力を停止することができる。電磁接触器が設けられていないので、過熱保護手段を簡素化でき、モータ駆動装置15の製造コストを低減できる。また、モータ16の外郭の温度を検知せず、モータ電流を検知しているので、環境温度による影響が小さく、過電流に対する保護の信頼性が向上する。
 また、本実施の形態1において、母線に流れる電流が第2閾値以上である場合に過電流検知信号をモータコントローラ43に出力する過電流検知回路65と、モータ電流が第3閾値以上である場合に過電流検知信号をモータコントローラ43に出力する電流検知回路70とを有していてもよい。この場合、過電流検知回路65および電流検知回路70を含む電気的な異常回避手段と、リレー17による機械的な異常回避手段とが組み合わせされた構成によって、モータ16が保護される。基本的には、電気的な異常回避手段が機能するが、ソフトウェアの異常およびセンサの故障等が原因で電気的な異常回避手段が機能しなくても、ソフトウェアおよびセンサに頼らずに、機械的な異常回避手段が確実に動作する。そのため、モータ16を確実に保護できる。
 従来、圧縮機およびファンのモータの外郭の温度によって過電流の有無を閾値によって判定する過熱保護装置は、アクチュエータの周囲の温度である環境温度の影響により誤動作することがある。例えば、ファンに設けられるモータは、ファンの発生する風がモータの表面を冷やすため、モータの巻線の実際の温度とモータの外郭の温度との誤差が大きいことがある。モータの巻線の実際の温度よりもモータの外郭の温度が低くなる場合がある。この場合、モータの巻線の温度とモータの外郭の温度との温度差を考慮して閾値を設定しないと、過熱保護装置による保護が働く前にモータの巻線が焼損してしまうおそれがある。
 また、アクチュエータが圧縮機である場合、内部の冷媒によりモータの巻線が冷却され、モータの巻線の温度に十分な余裕があるにもかかわらず、圧縮機の周囲の温度が高い場合など、モータの外郭の温度が高くってしまうことがある。この場合、従来の過熱保護装置は、過電流が発生するときよりも早くモータを停止させてしまうことになる。
 これに対して、本実施の形態1の空気調和装置100の室外機1は、圧縮機またはファンなどのアクチュエータの環境温度による影響が小さいので、異常が発生したとき、適切に保護動作が働く。そのため、従来の過熱保護装置よりも信頼性が向上する。
 本実施の形態1で説明したように、モータ駆動装置15は、図1に示した空気調和装置100において、圧縮機3に設けられたモータ16を駆動する装置およびファン5に設けられたモータ16を駆動する装置に適用される。以下では、圧縮機3に設けられたモータ16を駆動するモータ駆動装置15を第1モータ駆動装置と称し、ファン5に設けられたモータ16を駆動するモータ駆動装置15を第2モータ駆動装置と称する。第1モータ駆動装置に設定される第1閾値Thc1である圧縮機リレー閾値は、第2モータ駆動装置に設定される第1閾値Thc1であるファンリレー閾値よりも大きい値に設定されることが望ましい。以下に、理由を説明する。
 圧縮機3はファン5に比べてモータ16に流れる電流が大きいので、圧縮機3の第1モータ駆動装置に設けられるリレー17には、ファン5の第2モータ駆動装置に設けられリレー17よりも耐電流特性の大きいものが使用される。そのため、圧縮機リレー閾値がファンリレー閾値以下の値に設定されると、圧縮機3のモータ16において、電流供給を遮断すべきときにリレー17が機能しないことがある。また、電流供給を遮断する必要がないのにリレー17が頻繁に遮断してしまうこともある。このようなことを防止するために、圧縮機リレー閾値はファンリレー閾値よりも大きい値に設定される。
 以上、本実施の形態1に係る空気調和装置100について、図面を参照して説明したが、上述の実施の形態の説明により、過熱保護手段に関する特徴が限定されるものではない。

Claims (10)

  1.  モータを駆動するインバータ回路と、
     制御用電圧が供給され、前記インバータ回路に駆動信号を出力する駆動回路と、
     前記駆動回路への前記制御用電圧の供給を遮断するリレーと、を有し、
     前記リレーは、
     前記インバータ回路から前記モータに出力されるモータ電流を検知し、前記モータ電流が予め決められた第1閾値以上になると、前記駆動回路への前記制御用電圧の供給を遮断する、
     モータ駆動装置。
  2.  前記リレーは、サーマルリレーであり、
     前記サーマルリレーは、
     前記インバータ回路から前記モータ電流が前記モータに供給される電力線に設けられた電流検知部と、
     前記駆動回路に前記制御用電圧が供給される2本の電源線のうち、一方の電源線を接続状態または開放状態に切り替えるリレー部と、を有し、
     前記電流検知部は、前記モータ電流が前記第1閾値以上になると変形する構成であり、
     前記リレー部は、前記電流検知部が変形すると、前記一方の電源線を前記接続状態から前記開放状態に切り替える、
     請求項1に記載のモータ駆動装置。
  3.  前記2本の電源線のうち、前記一方の電源線が前記リレー部を介して接続される第1端子および、前記2本の電源線のうち、他方の電源線が接続される第2端子を有するコネクタと、
     前記コネクタから分岐して出力される前記制御用電圧に基づく動作用電圧が供給され、前記駆動回路を制御するコントローラと、を有し、
     前記コントローラは、
     前記サーマルリレーが前記制御用電圧を遮断すると、前記駆動回路に対する制御を停止する、
     請求項2に記載のモータ駆動装置。
  4.  外部の電源系統から供給される交流電圧を直流の母線電圧に変換する整流ダイオードを有し、
     前記コネクタは、前記電源系統と前記整流ダイオードとの間から分岐して接続され、前記交流電圧を前記制御用電圧に変換する電源回路から前記制御用電圧が供給され、
     前記第1端子は、前記一方の電源線によって、前記リレー部を介して前記電源回路と接続され、
     前記第2端子は、前記他方の電源線によって前記電源回路と接続されている、
     請求項3に記載のモータ駆動装置。
  5.  前記整流ダイオードから前記母線電圧が前記インバータ回路に供給される母線に流れる電流が予め決められた第2閾値以上か否かを判定し、前記母線に流れる電流が前記第2閾値以上である場合に過電流検知信号を前記コントローラに出力する過電流検知回路と、
     前記インバータ回路から前記モータに供給される前記モータ電流が予め決められた第3閾値以上か否かを判定し、前記モータ電流が前記第3閾値以上である場合に過電流検知信号を前記コントローラに出力する電流検知回路と、を有し、
     前記コントローラは、前記過電流検知回路または前記電流検知回路から前記過電流検知信号を受信すると、前記駆動回路を停止させる、
     請求項4に記載のモータ駆動装置。
  6.  前記過電流検知回路と前記コントローラとの間に設けられ、前記過電流検知回路から受信する前記過電流検知信号を保持し、前記過電流検知信号を前記コントローラおよび前記駆動回路に出力するラッチ回路を有し、
     前記コントローラは、前記過電流検知信号を受信すると、前記駆動回路を停止させる停止信号を送信し、
     前記駆動回路は、前記コントローラからの前記停止信号の受信および前記ラッチ回路からの前記過電流検知信号の受信のうち、早く受信した信号にしたがって動作を停止する、
     請求項5に記載のモータ駆動装置。
  7.  前記第1閾値、前記第2閾値および前記第3閾値の関係が、前記第1閾値>前記第2閾値>前記第3閾値である、
     請求項5または6に記載のモータ駆動装置。
  8.  冷凍サイクル回路を構成するアクチュエータの1つである圧縮機に設けられる前記モータを駆動するものであり、
     前記圧縮機に設けられる前記モータを駆動する場合の前記第1閾値は、前記冷凍サイクル回路を構成するアクチュエータの1つがファンである場合に設定される前記第1閾値よりも大きい、
     請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載のモータ駆動装置。
  9.  冷凍サイクル回路の一部を構成するアクチュエータと、
     前記アクチュエータに設けられたモータと、
     前記モータを駆動する請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載のモータ駆動装置と、
    を有する空気調和装置の室外機。
  10.  前記冷凍サイクル回路の一部を構成するアクチュエータとして、冷媒を圧縮して吐出する圧縮機、前記冷媒を外気と熱交換させる熱源側熱交換器、および前記熱源側熱交換器に前記外気を供給するファンを有し、
     前記圧縮機に設けられたモータを駆動する前記モータ駆動装置である第1モータ駆動装置と、
     前記ファンに設けられたモータを駆動する前記モータ駆動装置である第2モータ駆動装置と、を有し、
     前記第1モータ駆動装置に設定される前記第1閾値である圧縮機リレー閾値が前記第2モータ駆動装置に設定される前記第1閾値であるファンリレー閾値よりも大きい、
     請求項9に記載の空気調和装置の室外機。
