図1は、本発明の第1実施形態における道路監視システムの構成の一例を示すブロック図である。図1に示すように、本実施形態における道路監視システム(100)は、光ファイバケーブル(11)と、道路監視装置(120)とを含む。
[動作の説明]
図2は、本発明の第1実施形態における動作を示す流れ図である。
[効果の説明]
以上説明したように、本実施形態における道路監視装置(120)では、パターン抽出部(220)は、受信した光信号に基づいて、第1時間範囲及び第1距離範囲における道路における車両の走行状態に応じた第1パターンを抽出する。そして、パターン変換部(230)は、第1パターンに基づいて、第1時間範囲に含まれる時点数又は第1距離範囲に含まれる位置数を減少させた、第2パターンを生成する。ここで、第2パターンにおける車両の走行軌跡は、第1パターンにおける車両の走行軌跡に比べて幅が細い。算出部(240)は、第1パターンにおける車両の走行軌跡に比べて幅が細い第2パターンに基づいて、第1パターンに基づく場合よりも正確に、道路における車両の走行速度を算出する。従って、本実施形態における道路監視装置(120)には、車両速度算出の精度を向上することができるという効果がある。
[第2実施形態]
本発明の第1実施形態を基本とする本発明の第2実施形態について説明する。
[構成の説明]
図3は、本発明の第2実施形態における道路監視システムの構成の一例を示すブロック図である。本実施形態の道路監視システム(105)は、光ファイバケーブル(11)が敷設された環境において発生した振動に応じて変化する、光ファイバケーブル(11)において検出される検出値(環境変動量)の時系列を取得する。ここで、環境変動量は、光ファイバケーブル(11)における、送信信号の後方散乱光の大きさである。本実施形態では、道路の特定の位置において車両が通過すると道路の振動が発生し、道路の振動に起因して道路に敷設された光ファイバケーブル(11)において環境変動量のパルスが発生する。そして、道路監視システム(105)は、環境変動量の時系列を連続的に検出することによって、光ファイバケーブル(11)における振動の発生位置の時間変化(即ち、車両の走行)を検知する。そして、道路監視システム(105)は、環境変動量の時系列に基づいて、車両の走行速度を含む交通情報を算出する。交通情報は、更に、車両間隔、車両の加速度、車両台数、又は車両の走行方向等の情報を含んでもよい。道路監視システム(105)は、光ファイバケーブル(11)及び道路監視装置(125)を有する。

[第3実施形態]
本発明の第2実施形態を基本とする本発明の第3実施形態について説明する。
[構成の説明]
図10は、本発明の第3実施形態における道路監視システムの構成の一例を示すブロック図である。本実施形態の道路監視システム(106)は、光ファイバケーブル(11)において環境変動量の時系列を取得する。道路監視システム(106)は、光ファイバケーブル(11)及び道路監視装置(126)を有する。
[動作の説明]
道路監視システム(106)の動作について図10及び11を参照して説明する。図11は、本発明の第3実施形態における動作を示す流れ図である。
[効果の説明]
次に、本実施形態における効果について図12を参照して説明する。図12は、走行軌跡が有する距離及び時間方向のデータ幅の一例を示す模式図である。図12において、右側の部分は、左側に示した交通情報算出範囲が各環境変動量データに分割されていることを示している。即ち、格子状に分割された各領域が各環境変動量データを示す。
[第4実施形態]
本発明の第2実施形態を基本とする本発明の第4実施形態について説明する。
[構成の説明]
図13は、本発明の第4実施形態における道路監視システムの構成の一例を示すブロック図である。本実施形態の道路監視システム(107)は、光ファイバケーブル(11)において環境変動量の時系列を取得する。道路監視システム(107)は、光ファイバケーブル(11)及び道路監視装置(127)を有する。
[動作の説明]
道路監視システム(107)の動作について図13及び14を参照して説明する。図14は、本発明の第4実施形態における動作を示す流れ図である。
[効果の説明]

Claims (9)
- 道路に敷設された光ファイバケーブルから光信号を受信する受信手段と、
受信した前記光信号に基づいて、第1時間範囲及び第1距離範囲における前記道路における車両の走行状態に応じた第1パターンを抽出するパターン抽出手段と、
前記第1パターンに基づいて、前記第1時間範囲に含まれる時点数又は前記第1距離範囲に含まれる位置数を減少させた、第2パターンを生成するパターン変換手段と、
前記第2パターンに基づいて、前記道路における車両の走行速度を算出する算出手段と
を備えた道路監視装置。 - 前記光信号は、前記光ファイバケーブルへ送信される信号の後方散乱光である
請求項1に記載の道路監視装置。 - 前記算出手段は、前記第2パターンにおける前記車両の走行軌跡に基づいて前記車両の前記走行速度を算出する

前記第1パターンに基づいて、前記第1時間範囲に含まれる時点数又は前記第1距離範囲に含まれる位置数を減少させた、第2パターンを生成し、
前記第2パターンに基づいて、前記道路における車両の走行速度を算出する
道路監視方法。 - 道路監視装置が備えるコンピュータに、
道路に敷設された光ファイバケーブルから受信した光信号に基づいて、第1時間範囲及び第1距離範囲における前記道路における車両の走行状態に応じた第1パターンを抽出する処理と、
前記第1パターンに基づいて、前記第1時間範囲に含まれる時点数又は前記第1距離範囲に含まれる位置数を減少させた、第2パターンを生成する処理と、
前記第2パターンに基づいて、前記道路における車両の走行速度を算出する処理と
を実行させる道路監視プログラムを格納した非一時的なコンピュータ可読媒体。
