本願は、2021年2月8日に、日本に出願された特願2021-018226号に基づき優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
多孔質カーボン材料の性能は細孔径、細孔容積等に影響される。
特許文献1の図7には、実施例で製造されたカーボンエアロゲル粉末の細孔分布が示されている。図7によれば、カーボンエアロゲル粉末の細孔は主にメソ孔で、ミクロ孔とマクロ孔はほとんど存在していないことがわかる。
特許文献2の図5には、実施例で製造された多孔質カーボン材料の賦活処理前及び賦活処理後の細孔分布が示されている。図5によれば、賦活処理前の細孔は主にメソ孔で、ミクロ孔とマクロ孔はほとんど存在していないこと、賦活処理によってメソ孔が増えていることがわかる。また、特許文献2の図6には、賦活処理後の多孔質カーボン材料の細孔分布とともに、市販の活性炭の細孔分布が示されている。図6によれば、市販の活性炭の細孔は主にミクロ孔で、メソ孔とマクロ孔はほとんど存在していないことがわかる。
各々細孔径が異なる複数のカーボン材料を混合すれば、幅広い細孔径の細孔を併存させることができるが、工程数が増える、熱耐性が不均一になる、微小細孔への大径細孔の活用が意味をなさない等の問題がある。そのため、単一のカーボン材料で幅広い細孔分布を達成できることが望ましい。

本発明の一態様に係る材料(以下、「材料(1)」とも記す。)は、ミクロ孔とメソ孔とマクロ孔とを有する単一の多孔質カーボン材料であり、全細孔容積に対して、ミクロ孔の容積の割合(以下、「ミクロ孔容積率」とも記す。)が13~74体積%、メソ孔の容積の割合(以下、「メソ孔容積率」とも記す。)が13~75体積%、マクロ孔の容積の割合(以下、「マクロ孔容積率」とも記す。)が5~74体積%である。
図1は、本発明の多孔質カーボン材料を構成する連結体の走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)像の一例である。図1において、連結体Gを構成する粒子Pの平均粒子径は約30nmである。図1の連結体Gにおいては、複数の粒子Pが連結することにより、一つの連結体Gを形成している。本明細書において「連結体」とは、複数の粒子が化学結合を介して連結した二次粒子を意味する。前記化学結合としては、-C-C-(炭素-炭素単結合)、-C=C-(炭素-炭素二重結合)、-C-N-(炭素-窒素単結合)、-C=N-(炭素-窒素二重結合)等の共有結合が挙げられる。本明細書において「凝集体」とは、複数の粒子が化学結合を介さずに分子間力(分子間で引き合う力)等の物理的相互作用により凝集した状態を意味する。本発明の多孔質カーボン材料は、複数の粒子が凝集した凝集体、及び複数の粒子が連結した連結体からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種を含む。
凝集体または連結体を構成する粒子の平均粒子径は5nm~250nmであることが好ましく、10nm~100nmであることがより好ましく、25~50nmであることがさらに好ましい。前記粒子の平均粒子径を上記範囲内とすることにより、本発明の要件を満たすミクロ孔とメソ孔とマクロ孔とを有する凝集体または連結体とすることができる。
前記粒子の平均粒子径は、凝集体または連結体を走査電子顕微鏡(SEM)で観察して測定することができる。あるいは、前記粒子の平均粒子径は、凝集体または連結体を、エタノール等の溶媒中、ホモジナイザー等で強い物理的刺激を与えることにより解砕して一次粒子とし、濃度の低い分散液(例えば0.1重量%分散液)を調製し、分散液中の一次粒子をSEMで観察して測定することができる。
多孔質カーボン材料が単一であるか否かは、熱重量分析(TGA)、走査電子顕微鏡(SEM)による観察等により確認できる。例えばTGAの場合、TGAにより多孔質カーボン材料の重量減少曲線を測定し、得られた重量減少曲線において150~850℃の範囲内に存在する降下点が1つであれば、単一の多孔質カーボン材料であると判断できる。SEMの場合、異なる形状のカーボン体が確認されないのであれば、単一の多孔質カーボン材料であると判断できる。
好ましい一態様において、ミクロ孔は孔径が2nmより小さい細孔であり、メソ孔は孔径が2nm以上50nm以下の細孔であり、マクロ孔は孔径が50nmより大きい細孔と定義される。後述する実施例においてはこの定義に従ってミクロ孔、メソ孔、マクロ孔それぞれの容積率を求めた。
ミクロ孔の孔径の下限は、ガス吸着法による測定限界から、通常、0.4nmである。マクロ孔の孔径の上限は、例えば400nmである。
マクロ孔の容積は、全細孔容積から、ミクロ孔の容積とメソ孔の容積との和を減じることにより算出される。
マクロ孔容積率が13体積%以上であることで、物質がマクロ孔を介して材料(1)全体に拡散しやすくなる。また、ミクロ孔容積率が13体積%以上であることで、毛細管現象により、物質がマクロ孔からメソ孔やミクロ孔に拡散しやすくなる。結果、材料(1)中のメソ孔やミクロ孔に満遍なく物質が行き渡り、多孔質カーボン材料としての機能を充分に発現できると考えられる。
ミクロ孔容積率は、13~74体積%が好ましく、30~74体積%がより好ましい。
メソ孔容積率は、13~74体積%が好ましく、13~50体積%がより好ましい。
マクロ孔容積率は、13~74体積%が好ましく、13~30体積%がより好ましい。
ただし、全細孔容積に対するミクロ孔容積率、メソ孔容積率、及びマクロ孔容積率の合計は、100体積%を超えない。
吸油量は、JIS K 6221に規定されるフタル酸ジブチル(DBP)吸油量である。
CO2ガス吸収量は、CO2吸着等温線を測定することにより求められる。
色素吸着量は、JIS Z 2451に規定されるメチレンブルー吸着量である。
Log微分細孔容積分布は、ガス吸着法による測定結果に基づき、細孔径を横軸に、Log微分細孔容積を縦軸にプロットした分布曲線である。Log微分細孔容積は、差分細孔容積dVを、細孔径の対数扱いの差分値d(logD)で割った値(dV/d(lоgD))である。
ここで、電解質としては、水系の電解液、及びイオン液体を含む有機系の電解液のいずれも使用することができる。
水系の電解液としては、1M KOH水溶液、1M H2SO4水溶液等、公知の水系電解液が挙げられる。
有機系の電解液としては、1M テトラブチルアンモニウムテトラフルオロボレートのポリカーボネート溶液、1M リチウムテトラフルオロボレートのポリカーボネート溶液、1M リチウムテトラフルオロボレートのポリカーボネート溶液、トリエチルメチルアンモニウムビス(トリフルオロメタンスルホニル)イミド溶液等公知のイオン液体および有機系電解液が挙げられる。
カチオン性の電解質イオンとしては、リチウムイオン、カリウムイオン等の金属イオン;テトラブチルアンモニウムイオン等の4級アンモニウムイオン等公知のカチオン性電解質イオンが挙げられる。
アニオン性の電解質イオンとしては、OH-、PF6 -、BF4 -、イミド系アニオン等公知のアニオン性電解質イオンが挙げられる。
材料(1)が粒状である場合、その平均粒子径は、0.05~3000μmが好ましく、0.1~1000μmがより好ましい。平均粒子径が上記下限値以上であれば、物質の選択性がより優れ、上記上限値以下であれば、界面による機能的問題を軽減できる。
平均粒子径は、レーザー散乱による乾式の粒子径分布測定により求められる。
材料(1)は、例えば、金属有機構造体(Metal-Organic Framework;以下、「MOF」とも記す。)又はMOFと他の物質との混合物を焼成する工程(焼成工程)を含む製造方法により製造できる。
必要に応じて、焼成工程の前に、MOFを製造する工程を含んでいてもよい。
MOFを焼成する場合、必要に応じて、焼成工程の前に、最終的に得られる材料(1)の平均粒子径を調整するために、MOFを粉砕する工程を含んでいてもよい。
MOFと他の物質との混合物を焼成する場合、焼成工程の前に、MOFと他の物質とを混合する工程を含んでいてもよく、最終的に得られる材料(1)の形状に合わせて、混合物を塗布又は成形する工程を含んでいてもよい。
MOFは、金属イオンと有機架橋配位子(2以上の配位性官能基を有する多座配位子)とが連続的に結合した構造体であり、内部に複数の空孔を有する多孔質体である。
MOFとしては、MOFの定義に従ったものであって上述のミクロ孔容積率、メソ孔容積率、マクロ孔容積率を満たし得る細孔分布を有するものであれば特に制限は無い。MOFには、複数の金属、金属酸化物、金属クラスタ又は金属酸化物クラスタ構造単位を備えたMOFが知られているが、これらに限定されるものではない。
MOFの金属原料としては、Zn2+、Cu2+、Ni2+、Co2+等の金属イオンを有する錯体や金属含有二次構造単位(SBU)が好適である。
有機架橋配位子としては、典型的には、2以上の配位性官能基が、剛直構造を有する骨格(例えば芳香族環、不飽和結合等)に置換したものが用いられる。
有機架橋配位子の具体例を以下に挙げるが、本発明はこれに限定されるものではない。
有機架橋配位子としては、1,3,5-トリス(4-カルボキシフェニル)ベンゼン(BTB)等のフェニル基を有する任意のトリカルボン酸;1,4-ベンゼンジカルボン酸(BDC)、2,5-ジヒドロキシ-1,4-ベンゼンジカルボン酸(DOBDC)、シクロブチル-1,4-ベンゼンジカルボン酸(CB BDC)、2-アミノ-1,4-ベンゼンジカルボン酸(H2N BDC)、テトラヒドロピレン-2,7-ジカルボン酸(HPDC)、テルフェニルジカルボン酸(TPDC)、2,6-ナフタレンジカルボン酸(2,6-NDC)、ピレン-2,7-ジカルボン酸(PDC)、及びビフェニルジカルボン酸(BPDC)等のフェニル基を有する任意のジカルボン酸;3,3’,5,5’-ビフェニルテトラカルボン酸等のフェニル基を有する任意のテトラカルボン酸;イミダゾール、2-メチルイミダゾール、ベンズイミダゾール、2-ニトロイミダゾール、シクロベンズイミダゾール、イミダゾール-2-カルボキシアルデヒド、4-シアノイミダゾール、6-メチルベンズイミダゾール、及び6-ブロモベンズイミダゾール等のイミダゾール基を有する化合物等が挙げられる。
MOFを構成する有機架橋配位子は1種でもよく2種以上でもよい。
Zn4O(1,3,5-ベンゼントリベンゾエート)2で表されるMOF-177;IRMOF-Iとしても知られる、Zn4O(1,4-ベンゼンジカルボキシレート)3で表されるMOF-5;Mg2(2,5-ジヒドロキシ-1,4-ベンゼンジカルボキシレート)で表されるMOF-74(Mg);Zn2(2,5-ジヒドロキシ-1,4-ベンゼンジカルボキシレート)で表されるMOF-74(Zn);Cu2(3,3’,5,5’-ビフェニルテトラカルボキシレート)で表されるMOF-505;Zn4O(シクロブチル-1,4-ベンゼンジカルボキシレート)で表されるIRMOF-6;Zn4O(2-アミノ-1,4-ベンゼンジカルボキシレート)3で表されるIRMOF-3;Zn4O(テルフェニルジカルボキシレート)3又はZn4O(テトラヒドロピレン-2,7-ジカルボキシレート)3で表されるIRMOF-11;Zn4O(テトラヒドロピレン-2,7-ジカルボキシレート)3で表されるIRMOF-8;Zn(2-メチルイミダゾレート)2で表されるZIF-8;Zn(ベンズイミダゾレート)(2-ニトロイミダゾレート)で表されるZIF-68;Zn(シクロベンズイミダゾレート)(2-ニトロイミダゾレート)で表されるZIF-69;Zn(ベンズイミダゾレート)2で表されるZIF-7;Co(ベンズイミダゾレート)2で表されるZIF-9;Zn2(ベンズイミダゾレート)で表されるZIF-11;Zn(イミダゾレート-2-カルボキシアルデヒド)2で表されるZIF-90;Zn(4-シアノイミダゾレート)(2-ニトロイミダゾレート)でZIF-82;Zn(イミダゾレート)(2-ニトロイミダゾレート)で表されるZIF-70;Zn(6-メチルベンズイミダゾレート)(2-ニトロイミダゾレート)で表されるZIF-79;及びZn(6-ブロモベンズイミダゾレート)(2-ニトロイミダゾレート)で表されるZIF-81等。
結晶構造の大きさは、中央値として、10nm~1000μmが好ましく、30nm~100μmがより好ましい。結晶構造の大きさの中央値が上記下限値以上であれば、比表面積がより優れ、上記上限値以下であれば、物質の拡散性や結晶の分散性がより優れる。
走査型電子顕微鏡又は光学顕微鏡を用いて、試料の表面の画像を得る。このときの倍率は、画像中に存在する結晶(MOF)の数が100~200個になる倍率とする。得られた画像中に存在する全ての結晶の最大径を測定し、それらの中央値(最小値と最大値との平均値)を算出し、その値をMOFの結晶構造の大きさの中央値とする。
MOFの製造方法や製造条件によって、生成するMOFの結晶構造の大きさや含まれる金属酸化物の量に差が生じ、MOFの細孔分布に違いが生じる。
国際公開第2019/039509号に記載の方法を例に挙げて説明すると、この方法では、MOFを構成する金属原子を含む物質(A)(ただし、MOFを除く。)と、前記金属原子に配位して結晶体を生成可能な金属配位部を2つ以上有する有機物(B)と、刺激により反応又は相転移し、前記物質(A)の金属原子への前記有機物(B)の金属配位部の配位を促進可能となる配位促進剤(C)とを含む組成物に刺激を与えてMOFを生成させる。上記方法においては、配位促進剤(C)の種類と当量が、生成するMOFの細孔分布に影響する。例えば、配位促進剤(C)として塩基(例えば、アミン-ボラン錯体、ジシアンジアミド、ヒドラジド、イミン、オキサゾリジン、ピリジン、三級アミン、ケトプロフェンアミン塩、2級アミン、1級アミン、又はその混合物等)を、前記有機物(B)に対して当量以上配合すると、上述のミクロ孔容積率、メソ孔容積率、マクロ孔容積率を満たし得る細孔分布を有するMOFが得られ易い。一方、塩基の配合量が少なくなると、生成するMOFの収率が低くなる傾向がある。
なお、通常、MOFはメソ孔を有さない。焼成によってメソ孔が形成される。
MOFと混合される他の物質としては、無機物でも有機物でもよい。
無機物としては、例えば水、無機酸、無期塩基が挙げられる。
有機物としては、例えば有機溶剤、樹脂、糖、タンパク質、自然由来物質が挙げられる。
有機溶剤としては、例えば、ジメチルホルムアミド、ジメチルスルホキシド、ラクトン、エタノールが挙げられる。これらの有機溶剤はいずれか1種を単独で用いてもよく2種以上を併用してもよい。
樹脂は、主鎖が炭素原子から構成される樹脂でもよく、主鎖に炭素原子以外の原子を含む樹脂(ポリエーテル樹脂、シリコーン樹脂等)でもよい。
樹脂としては、例えば、熱可塑性樹脂、硬化性樹脂等が挙げられる。熱可塑性樹脂の分子量は、成形可能な範囲であればよく、例えば5千~100万であってよい。硬化性樹脂としては、熱硬化性樹脂、光硬化性樹脂等が挙げられる。
ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブタジエン、ポリイソプレン等のポリオレフィン樹脂;ポリ(メタ)アクリル酸メチル、ポリ(メタ)アクリル酸ブチル、ポリ(メタ)アクリル酸ヘキシル等のポリ(メタ)アクリレート樹脂;ポリ酢酸ビニル、ポリビニルブチラール等のポリビニルエステル樹脂;ポリビニルフェニルエーテル等のポリビニルエーテル樹脂;ポリ塩化ビニル等のポリビニルハライド樹脂;ポリスチレン、ポリメチルスチレン等のポリスチレン樹脂;ポリジメチルマレイン酸、ポリジメチルフマル酸等のポリビニルエステル樹脂;ナイロン66等のポリアミド樹脂;ポリイミド樹脂;ポリエチレンテレフタレート等のポリエステル樹脂;セルロース、酢酸セルロース等のセルロース樹脂;アルキッド樹脂;ポリウレタン樹脂;ポリ乳酸;ポリエチレンオキシド、ポリプロピレンオキシド等のポリオキシアルキレン樹脂;ポリカーボネート樹脂;エポキシ樹脂;フラン樹脂;主鎖芳香族系高機能高分子;ベンゾオキサジン樹脂等。これらの共重合体や複合体、混合体等も用いることができる。これらの樹脂は1種を単独で用いてもよく2種以上を併用してもよい。
なお、樹脂が硬化性樹脂の場合、樹脂のSP値は、硬化後の硬化性樹脂のSP値である。
SP値としてはいくつかの種類が知られているが、本発明におけるSP値は、ハンセン溶解度パラメータである。SP値は、例えばPolymer Handbook(第四版、1999年、VII/675頁)等の文献によって知ることができる。また、分子の構造がわかれば、官能基の種類から概算することもできる。
混合物において、MOFの含有量は、混合物100質量%に対し、0.1~30質量%が好ましく、1~10質量%がより好ましい。MOFの含有量が上記下限値以上であれば、分散性がより優れ、上記上限値以下であれば、塗布性が優れる。
MOF又は混合物を焼成することで、多孔質カーボン材料が得られる。
焼成条件としては、例えば、不活性ガス雰囲気下、300~1000℃で0.5~10時間焼成する条件が挙げられる。焼成方法としては、特に制限はなく、有機物のカーボン化に用いられている公知の焼成方法を用いることができる。不活性ガスとしては、窒素ガス、アルゴン等が挙げられる。焼成時間により、MOF由来の金属または金属酸化物の残量を制御することもできる。
材料(1)は、多孔質カーボン材料としての機能(物質の吸着、貯蔵、分離、濾過、及びこれらへの選択性用途等)を利用して、ガス吸着材、液体吸着剤、イオン吸着材、固体吸着剤、電極材、分離材、センサ材、スペーサ材、補強材等の各種の機能性材料に用いることができる。
材料(1)を含む電極材としては、例えば、集電体と、集電体に接して設けられた活物質層とを備え、活物質層が材料(1)を含むものが挙げられる。
図2の例において、正極集電体11は、正極集電体本体14と、正極集電体本体14の正極活物質層12側の表面を被覆する集電体被覆層15とを有する。正極集電体本体14のみを正極集電体11としてもよい。
図3の例において、二次電池10は、二次電池用正極1と、負極3と、非水電解質とを備える。さらにセパレータ2を備えてもよい。図中符号5は外装体である。正極1は、板状の正極集電体11と、その両面上に設けられた正極活物質層12と有する。正極活物質層12は正極集電体11の表面の一部に存在する。正極集電体11の表面の縁部は、正極活物質層12が存在しない正極集電体露出部13である。正極集電体露出部13の任意の箇所に、図示しない端子用タブが電気的に接続する。負極3は、板状の負極集電体31と、その両面上に設けられた負極活物質層32とを有する。負極活物質層32は負極集電体31の表面の一部に存在する。負極集電体31の表面の縁部は、負極活物質層32が存在しない負極集電体露出部33である。負極集電体露出部33の任意の箇所に、図示しない端子用タブが電気的に接続する。
集電体の形状としては、例えばシートが挙げられる。シートは、メッシュ、フォーム等の多孔質体であってもよく、箔等の非多孔質体であってもよい。
シート状の集電体の厚さは、例えば10~100μmである。
他の成分としては、活物質層に含有させる成分として公知のものを用いることができ、例えば導電助剤、バインダ等の添加剤が挙げられる。
導電助剤としては、例えば、ケッチェンブラック、カーボンナノチューブが挙げられる。
バインダとしては、例えば、ポリアクリロニトリル、セルロース系ポリマーが挙げられる。
導電助剤の含有量は、活物質層の総質量に対し、0~15質量%が好ましく、1~10質量%がより好ましい。
バインダの含有量は、活物質層の総質量に対し、0~10質量%が好ましく、0~5質量%がより好ましい。
媒体としては、例えば、有機溶剤、水、又は有機溶剤と水との混合物を用いることができる。有機溶剤としては、例えば、N-メチルピロリドン、ジメチルホルムアミドが挙げられる。
本発明の他の一態様に係る材料(以下、「材料(2)」とも記す。)は、ミクロ孔とメソ孔とマクロ孔とを有する単一の多孔質カーボン材料に金属又は金属酸化物が担持された複合材料であり、多孔質カーボン材料のミクロ孔容積率が13~74体積%、メソ孔容積率が13~75体積%、マクロ孔容積率が5~74体積%である。
多孔質カーボン材料は、前記した材料(1)である。
金属又は金属酸化物の担持量は、例えば、材料(2)の総質量に対し、1質量%とすることができる。
材料(1)に金属又は金属酸化物を担持させる方法としては、例えば、浸漬法、圧縮浸漬法、AD法、電解法が挙げられる他、金属または金属酸化物をカーボンに担持させる一般的な手法を適用することができる。この際、担持される金属または金属酸化物に応じ、カーボンに対する一般的な表面処理、たとえば酸化処理、溶液処理、気体処理等によって極性を変化させることで、担持率を制御することができる。
本発明の他の一態様に係る材料(以下、「材料(3)」とも記す。)は、ミクロ孔とメソ孔とマクロ孔とを有する単一の多孔質カーボン材料に有機物が担持された複合材料であり、多孔質カーボン材料のミクロ孔容積率が13~74体積%、メソ孔容積率が13~75体積%、マクロ孔容積率が5~74体積%である。
多孔質カーボン材料は、前記した材料(1)である。
有機物の担持量は、例えば、材料(3)の総質量に対し、1質量%とすることができる。
材料(1)に有機物を担持させる方法としては、例えば、浸漬法、圧縮浸漬法、AD法、電解法、減圧法、混錬法が挙げられる。この際、担持される有機物に応じ、カーボンに対する一般的な表面処理、たとえば酸化処理、溶液処理、気体処理等によって極性を変化させることで、担持率を制御することができる。
本発明の他の一態様に係る材料(以下、「材料(4)」とも記す。)は、ミクロ孔とメソ孔とマクロ孔とを有する単一の多孔質カーボン材料にMOFが担持された複合材料であり、多孔質カーボン材料のミクロ孔容積率が13~74体積%、メソ孔容積率が13~75体積%、マクロ孔容積率が5~74体積%である。
多孔質カーボン材料は、前記した材料(1)である。
MOFの担持量は、例えば、材料(4)の総質量に対し、1質量%とすることができる。
材料(1)にMOFを担持させる方法としては、例えば、浸漬法、圧縮浸漬法、AD法、電解法が挙げられる。この際、担持されるMOFに応じ、カーボンに対する一般的な表面処理、たとえば酸化処理、溶液処理、気体処理等によって極性を変化させることで、担持率を制御することができる。
有機架橋配位子として2-メチルイミダゾール、金属原料として硝酸亜鉛6水和物、反応促進剤としてトリエチルアミンを使用し、以下の手順でMOFを合成した。
2-メチルイミダゾール2.5gをジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)30gに加え、完全に溶解するまで攪拌して有機架橋配位子溶液を得た。別途、硝酸亜鉛六水和物10gをジメチルホルムアミド30gに加え、完全に溶解するまで攪拌して金属原料溶液を得た。各溶液を混合し、さらにトリエチルアミン12gを加えて混合した。得られた混合液を室温撹拌したところ、結晶体が沈殿した。その後、結晶体をろ取し、洗浄し、乾燥して結晶体を回収した。回収した結晶体についてX線回折(XRD)を行ったところ、Zn(2-メチルイミダゾレート)2で表されるZIF-8であることが確認された。
(多孔質カーボン材料の製造)
製造例1で得たMOF(ZIF-8)をメノー乳鉢で粉砕し、平均粒子径が50μmの粉砕物を得た。得られた粉砕物を石英ガラス管状炉に移し、不活性雰囲気下、950℃まで昇温した。1時間保持した後、室温になるまで自然冷却して、多孔質カーボン材料を得た(MOFa1(Zn))。
得られた多孔質カーボン材料について、マイクロトラック・ベル株式会社製ガス吸着量測定装置BELSORP-maxを用いて、77K(-196℃)における窒素吸脱着測定を行った。得られた窒素吸着等温線からBJH法を用いて、全細孔容積、ミクロ孔の容積、メソ孔の容積を算出した。また、全細孔容積からミクロ孔の容積とメソ孔の容積との和を減じることで、マクロ孔の容積を算出した。これらの結果から、ミクロ孔容積率、メソ孔容積率及びマクロ孔容積率を算出した。結果を表1に示す。
また、窒素吸脱着測定の結果から、Log微分細孔容積分布を求めた。結果を図4に示す。図4中、Dpは細孔径を示し、dVp/dlоgDpはLog微分細孔容積を示す。
得られた多孔質カーボン材料80部、導電助剤(ケッチェンブラック)10部、バインダ(ポリアクリロニトリル)10部、有機溶剤(N-メチルピロリドン)500部を混合してペーストを得た。得られたペーストをNiフォームに含浸させ、150℃で30分減圧乾燥することで、キャパシタ電極を得た。
得られたキャパシタ電極を水系の電解液(1M KOH水溶液)に含浸させ、参照極にAg系電極、対極に金線を用いて、-0.8~0.0V(vs Ag系電極)の範囲で充放電測定を実施し、静電容量を求めた。
多孔質カーボン材料として、賦活処理された活性炭を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で、細孔容積・細孔分布の測定、キャパシタ電極の製造及び静電容量の評価を行った。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表1、図4に示す。
また、実施例1のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの比較例1のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表1に示す。
製造例1で得たMOFの代わりに市販のMOF(アルドリッチ社製品名「Z1200」、ZIF-8)を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で、多孔質カーボン材料の製造、細孔容積・細孔分布の測定、キャパシタ電極の製造及び静電容量の評価を行った。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表1、図4に示す(MOF1(Zn))。
また、実施例1のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの比較例2のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表1に示す。
実施例1で製造したキャパシタ電極について、下記の方法で静電容量の評価を行った。
(キャパシタ電極の静電容量の評価)
得られたキャパシタ電極を有機系の電解液(1M テトラブチルアンモニウムテトラフルオロボレートのポリカーボネート溶液、以下、「TBABF4」ともいう。)に含浸させ、参照極にAg系電極、対極に金線を用いて、-1.1~0.4V(vs Ag系電極)の範囲で充放電測定を実施し、静電容量を求めた。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表2、図4に示す。
比較例2で製造したキャパシタ電極について、実施例2と同様の方法で静電容量の評価を行った。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表2に示す。
また、実施例2のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの比較例3のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表2に示す。
製造例1で得たMOFを1Nの塩酸で1時間処理し、濾過、乾燥して得た多孔質カーボン材料(MOFa1’(Zn))を使用した以外は、実施例2と同様の方法で、多孔質カーボン材料の製造、細孔容積・細孔分布の測定、キャパシタ電極の製造及び静電容量の評価を行った。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表2に示す。
また、実施例2のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの実施例3のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表2に示す。
製造例1において、有機架橋配位子としてテレフタル酸6.1gを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で、多孔質カーボン材料の製造、細孔容積・細孔分布の測定し、実施例2キャパシタ電極の製造及び静電容量の評価を行った(MOFb1(Zn))。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表2に示す。
また、実施例2のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの実施例3のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表2に示す。
製造例1において、テレフタル酸1.1g、金属塩として硝酸クロム9水和物2.5g、トリエチルアミン3.6gを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で、多孔質カーボン材料の製造、細孔容積・細孔分布の測定し、実施例2と同様のキャパシタ電極の製造及び静電容量の評価を行った(MOFc1(Cr))。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表2に示す。
また、実施例2のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの実施例5のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表5に示す。
製造例1において、有機架橋配位子としてベンゼントリカルボン酸1.4g、金属塩として硝酸銅六水和物1.5g、トリエチルアミン3.6gを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で、多孔質カーボン材料の製造、細孔容積・細孔分布の測定し、実施例2と同様のキャパシタ電極の製造及び静電容量の評価を行った(MOFd1(Cu))。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表2に示す。
また、実施例2のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの実施例6のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表2に示す。
製造例1において、有機架橋配位子としてベンゼントリカルボン酸2.4g、金属塩として硝酸アルミニウム9水和物1.3g、トリエチルアミン3.6gを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で、多孔質カーボン材料の製造、細孔容積・細孔分布の測定し、実施例2と同様のキャパシタ電極の製造及び静電容量の評価を行った(MOFe1(Al))。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表2に示す。
また、実施例2のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの実施例7のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表2に示す。
実施例1で製造したキャパシタ電極について、下記の方法で静電容量の評価を行った。
(キャパシタ電極の静電容量の評価)
得られたキャパシタ電極をセパレータを介して対向させ、有機系の電解液(1M リチウムテトラフルオロボレートのポリカーボネート溶液、以下、「LiBF4」ともいう。)を注入し、0~2.5Vの範囲で充放電測定を実施し、静電容量を求めた。
比較例3で製造したキャパシタ電極について、下記の方法で静電容量の評価を行った。
また、実施例8のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの比較例4のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表3に示す。
製造例1において、金属塩として硝酸亜鉛六水和物14g、トリエチルアミン9.8gを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で、多孔質カーボン材料の製造、細孔容積・細孔分布の測定し、実施例8と同様のキャパシタ電極の製造及び静電容量の評価を行った(MOFa2(Zn))。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表3に示す。
また、実施例8のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの実施例9のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表3に示す。
製造例1において、金属塩として硝酸亜鉛六水和物21g、トリエチルアミン7.3gを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で、多孔質カーボン材料の製造、細孔容積・細孔分布の測定し、実施例8と同様のキャパシタ電極の製造及び静電容量の評価を行った(MOFa3(Zn))。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表3に示す。
また、実施例8のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの実施例10のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表3に示す。
製造例1において、金属塩として硝酸亜鉛六水和物7.0g、トリエチルアミン16gを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で、多孔質カーボン材料の製造、細孔容積・細孔分布の測定し、実施例8と同様のキャパシタ電極の製造及び静電容量の評価を行った(MOFa4(Zn))。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表3に示す。
また、実施例8のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの実施例11のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表3に示す。
製造例1において、金属塩として硝酸亜鉛六水和物8.0g、トリエチルアミン9.1gを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で、多孔質カーボン材料の製造、細孔容積・細孔分布の測定し、実施例8と同様のキャパシタ電極の製造及び静電容量の評価を行った(MOFa5(Zn))。
細孔容積・細孔分布の測定結果を表3に示す。
また、実施例5のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの実施例12のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を表3に示す。
表2中の「静電容量」は、実施例2のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの実施例2~7、比較例3それぞれのキャパシタ電極の静電容量のレートを示す。
表3中の「静電容量」は、実施例8のキャパシタ電極の静電容量を100としたときの実施例8~12、比較例4それぞれのキャパシタ電極の静電容量のレートを示す。
電解液として有機系(TBABF4)の電解液を用いた実施例2~7のキャパシタ電極は、比較例3のキャパシタ電極よりも静電容量に優れていた。これは、電解液の拡散性が向上したためと考えられる。
電解液として有機系(LiBF4)の電解液を用いた実施例8~12のキャパシタ電極は、比較例4のキャパシタ電極よりも静電容量に優れていた。これは、電解液の拡散性が向上したためと考えられる。

Claims (11)
- ミクロ孔とメソ孔とマクロ孔とを有する単一の多孔質カーボン材料であり、
全細孔容積に対して、前記ミクロ孔の容積の割合が13~74体積%、前記メソ孔の容積の割合が13~75体積%、前記マクロ孔の容積の割合が5~74体積%である、多孔質カーボン材料。 - 前記多孔質カーボン材料が、結晶状構造または多面体状構造を有する複数の粒子を含む凝集体または連結体を含む、請求項1に記載の多孔質カーボン材料。
- 前記粒子の平均粒子径が、2nm~500nmである、請求項2に記載の多孔質カーボン材料。
- [マクロ孔の容積]/[メソ孔の容積]で表される容積比が、1.1~4.0である、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質カーボン材料。
- [マクロ孔の容積]/[ミクロ孔の容積+メソ孔の容積]で表される容積比が、0.14~1.5である、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質カーボン材料。
- 請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質カーボン材料、並びに金属及び金属酸化物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種を含み、前記多孔質カーボン材料に前記金属及び前記金属酸化物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種が担持された複合材料。
- 請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質カーボン材料、及び有機物を含み、前記多孔質カーボン材料に前記有機物が担持された複合材料。
- 請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質カーボン材料、及び金属有機構造体を含み、前記多孔質カーボン材料に前記金属有機構造体が担持された複合材料。
- 請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質カーボン材料の製造方法であって、
金属有機構造体又は金属有機構造体と他の物質との混合物を焼成する工程を含むことを特徴とする、多孔質カーボン材料の製造方法。 - 請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質カーボン材料、又は請求項6~8のいずれか一項に記載の複合材料を含む機能性材料。
- 電極材、分離材、センサ材、スペーサ材、補強材、ガス吸着剤、液体吸着剤、イオン吸着剤、又は固体吸着剤である、請求項10に記載の機能性材料。
