Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a mask, of the type intended to protect its wearer from inhaling dangerous atmospheres, likely to contain viruses, bacteria, germs, smoke, vapours, gases and suspended particles, serving at the same time as barrier to protect third parties against the spread of said pathogenic elements from the wearer of the mask.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a mask by which the breathing process through it is optimized, so that through its new structure it prevents inhaling the carbon dioxide that the wearer expels during the use of said mask. .
  • This structure entails an additional advantage, such as the fact of avoiding fogging of glasses, quite common and annoying in the use of this type of device.
  • the invention is applicable to both disposable and reusable masks, by virtue of a simple and consequently cheap structure.
  • this type of device presents an additional problem, such as the fact that the hot air that is expelled through the lungs flows at least partially in an upward direction, which usually causes fogging of the glasses' lenses. of users who carry this type of accessories, which can be a very serious problem if they need glasses to drive, for example.
  • this type of mask includes filter media whose function is to filter the air expelled by the user, that is, its function is to protect the rest of the people close to the user, from possible viruses, bacteria or germs.
  • the mask of the invention fully and satisfactorily resolves the aforementioned problems, based on a simple but highly effective solution.
  • the mask of the invention starts from the structuring of this type of mask, regardless of whether it is disposable or reusable, by providing an extremely economical solution, so that the mask focuses its characteristics on the fact that it incorporates a transverse band in its upper middle area, which forces the mask to fit in that area on the upper lip area, below the nose, so that the mask defines two differentiated and isolated work areas, one for the nose and another for mouth.
  • transverse band will be located on the external face of the mask, although it could be arranged internally between the layers that participate in the main body of the mask and fixed to the external layer, or linked to its internal face.
  • the additional transverse band includes means to regulate its length, and thus allow better adaptability to the physiognomy of each specific user, so that it, once adjusted with respect to the lateral edges of the the mask to which it is linked, is subjected to traction and therefore presses in its transversal application area on the main body of the mask on the area of the upper lip, that is to say between the nose and the mouth, thus determining two independent chambers, the upper one to inspire and the lower one to exhale.
