Description

DEBURRING MACHINE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to an improvement performed in deburring machines, which are used in the metalworking industry and also for cleaning undesired surface wastes such as rust (corrosion), welding slag, cutting and boring edge burrs occurring on the metal piece to be worked.
The present invention particularly relates to a deburring machine, wherein a movable cover and cleaning with a brush is used together, so as to eliminate the negative effects of dust, granule or slags in different sizes cleaned from the metallic workpiece surfaces on the deburring machine and to provide a safe working environment by preventing the operator from interfering with inside of the machine during loading workpieces based on the surface cleaning brush group.
State of the Art
Since the product feeding belt conveyor moves in the vertical axis based on the product thickness, the deburring machines do not comprise an additional movable safety bolt cover. In the deburring machines, the product feeding conveyor generally moves in the vertical axis, wherein the conveyor moves in the vertical axis based on the piece thickness. Therefore, in the machines with a stable product input opening, the opening through which the product is fed into the machine should be remain opened based on the maximum workpiece thickness. Depending on the piece sizes, an operator performs the task of loading the workpieces into the machine. The fact that the operator loads the small workpieces into the machine with a stable opening height and meanwhile, that the machine maintains the cleaning brush movement may cause significant accident risks. In the deburring machines, since the cover bodies with a stable height constitute accident risks, they are not suitable in terms of occupational health and safety.
New workpieces are loaded into the machine after the surface-cleaned workpieces. The cleaning process is performed at the output point of the movable conveyor belt conveying the workpiece in the deburring machines. However, this cleaning process is not generally sufficient, there remain metallic burrs on the belt. If belts are not cleaned completely from burrs and potential lubrication, the operating life of movable components of the deburring machine is shortened. The operator may be injured due to burrs on the belt when starting to move to the product input point by turning at the output point of the belt from the machine. The belt cleaning process in the state of the art is transferred to a cylindrical brush positioned any portion of the belt by means of the belt and pulley mechanism of the movement achieved from the belt driving roller and thus, the belt cleaning process is performed. Such applications require an additional belt and pulley mechanism for driving. Furthermore, there is a need for performing an adjustment, due to the fact that the distance of the cleaning brush to the belt is shortened, as the cleaning brush surface is abraded, so as to maintain the belt tension in such machines. If the maintenance and adjustment are not performed constantly, the cleaning process of the conveyor belt is not carried out, thereby constituting a risk in terms of occupational health, machine performance, and safety.
As a result, due to the aforementioned drawbacks and insufficiency of the existing solutions regarding the subject matter, the need for a study in deburring machines has arisen.
Objects of the Invention
The invention is created by being inspired by the present situations and aims to solve the problems mentioned above.
The main object of the present invention is to comprise a front and rear safety bolt cover that can move based on the movable head group of the deburring machine and allows for forming input and output openings that are big enough to enter the workpieces together with the movement of the head group adjusted by the operator based on the height of the workpiece.
Another object of the present invention is to prevent manual interference with the inside of the machine without option by means of the movement of the movable front and rear safety bolt covers together with the head group because the height of the workpiece to be loaded on the belt is determined by the operator prior to the cleaning process.
Another object of the present invention is that further movement mechanism elements and drivers are not needed by means of receiving the movement of the front and rear safety bolt from the movable head group fastened thereon.
Another object of the present invention is to comprise a belt cleaning brush that is available as a secondary safety element in the loading portion of the workpieces and allows for completely cleaning the belt by applying pressure on the belt without the need for any driving and movement transmission element by means of the weight shaft.
Another object of the present invention is to comprise brush allowing for an efficient belt surface cleaning by contacting on a wider area compared to the cylindrical brushes since the belt cleaning brush does not rotate.
Another object of the present invention is to avoid potential injuries resulting from loading the workpiece by the operator by means of completely cleaning the belt surface from burrs thereon.
The structural and distinctive characteristics and all advantages of the invention will be better understood with the figures below and the detailed description written by referring to these figures and therefore, the invention should be evaluated considering these figures and the detailed explanations.

Operation Principle
In the deburring machine (A), the workpiece is input by the operator into the machine by means of the product feeding conveyor (1) fastened on the chassis. A head group (10) connected to the deburring sandpapers and lifting mechanism based on the metric thickness value input before inputting the workpiece through the product input portion of the deburring machine (A) performs the vertical (reciprocating) movement because the lifting motor (9) transmits the rotation to the threaded shaft (8) converting the same into the linear movement by means of the sprocket. While the vertical movement is transmitted to the front safety bolt cover (2) by means of the front movement transmitting arm (5), it is also transmitted simultaneously to the rear safety bolt cover (4) by means of the rear movement transmitting arm (7). Thus, the front safety bolt cover (2) and the rear safety bolt cover (4) are automatically opened as much as the piece thickness based on the thickness value of the workpiece. The workpiece passes under the head group (10) and is subjected to the deburring process. The deburring process continues while the workpiece advances and when the piece approaches the exit, the piece passes through the rear safety bolt cover (4) opened based on the thickness of the piece and arrives at the product output region. In the meanwhile, it is prevented from manually interfering with the interior portion in which the head group (10) of the deburring machine (A) is available. A new workpiece is placed on the conveyor belt (17) subsequent to treating the same in the deburring machine (A). Metallic pieces that may remain on the conveyor belt (17) are removed on the belt cleaning mechanism (11) so that the operator will not be injured. The belt cleaning brush (19) used to clean the conveyor belt (19) is able to perform the cleaning process without depending on any movement transmitting element and driving mechanism. The belt cleaning mechanism (11) is available immediately at the bottom portion of the conveyor (1) extension at the product output of the machine. A conveyor belt (17) starts its movement by rotating the belt driving roller (18) driven by the lifting motor (9). By means of this movement, the belt cleaning brush (19) placed immediately under the conveyor (1) and having a constant contact therewith rubs on an upper surface instead of an annular rubbing in cylindrical brushes on the conveyor belt (17) and thus carries out the cleaning process of the conveyor belt (17). There is a counter-weight shaft (22) on the belt cleaning mechanism (11) so that the belt cleaning brush (19) applies the most suitable pressure force on the conveyor belt (17). While said weight shaft (22) controls the pressure of the belt cleaning brush (19), it also ensures to approach automatically to the conveyor belt (17) as much as the abrasion length by means of converting the rotation from the cam lever (21) into the vertical pressure force in case of abrasion of the belt cleaning brush (19). Thus, the conveyor belt (17) is cleaned constantly without the need for an additional adjustment until finishing the belt cleaning brush (19).
