Abstract
Description
一般的に、多くのデジタルコヒーレント伝送方式では、送信器にIQ変調器を必要とするため、コストが増大する。そこで、これまでに送信器の低コスト化を実現するための手法としてCPFSK(continuous phase frequency shift keying)方式が提案されている。CPFSK方式では、送信器を直接変調構成とし、その変調信号の振幅を通常の強度変調時に対して小さく設定することで、信号光を振幅一定で周波数変調する。受信側では一定時間内に生じる位相の変化量を算出することで通信を行う。この方式では、送信器にIQ変調器を必要としないため、送信器の低コスト化が期待できる。
上記事情に鑑み、本発明は、デジタルコヒーレント伝送方式の1つであるCPFSK方式において,AMCC方式を適用した場合に受信装置の構成を簡易化することができる技術の提供を目的としている。
本発明の第1実施形態について、図面を参照して詳細に説明する。
図1は、本発明の第1実施形態に係る通信システム100のシステム構成例を示す図である。
通信システム100は、送信装置10と受信装置20とを備える。
送信装置10は、レーザ光をCPFSK(continuous phase frequency shift keying)信号生成のための変調信号によって直接変調する。送信装置10は、直接変調したレーザ光(以下「信号光」という)を送信する。送信装置10が送信した信号光は、伝送路2を伝搬する。伝送路2の一例は、光ファイバである。
図2は、CPFSK変調の一例を説明するための図である。
図2において、(a)は送信信号の電界波形の一例を示す。CPFSKでは、送信装置は、信号の周波数を変調し、符号系列を送信する。
Aを振幅、ωを中間周波数の角周波数、tを時間、φを位相とする。Aは時間的に一定である。中間周波数は、主信号と局発光の周波数差である。
受信信号の電界Esigは、下式で表される。

図2において、(c)は位相変化量の時間変化を示す。CPFSK方式では、送信側において周波数変調を行い、受信側では位相変化量として符号の識別を行う。
図3Aにおいて、左図は符号系列が1に相当するシンボル付近での時間t1の受信シンボルsy01aと時間t2の受信シンボルsy02aとの様子を示す。
図3Aにおいて、右図は、受信シンボルsy01aと受信シンボルsy02aとの2シンボル間で複素共役積をとることで生成される位相変化量を偏角に持つ複素振幅を示す。
図3Bにおいて、右図は、受信シンボルsy01bと受信シンボルsy02bとの2シンボル間で複素共役積をとることで生成される位相変化量を偏角に持つ複素振幅を示す。
このように、位相変化量を位相に持つベクトルを計算することでコンスタレーションを作成し、作成したコンスタレーションに対して閾値判定することで送信符号系列を識別することができる。
図1に戻り、通信システム100に含まれる送信装置10と受信装置20との詳細について順次説明する。
送信装置10は、光源11と変調信号生成部12とを備える。
光源11の一例は、半導体レーザである。以下、光源11が半導体レーザである場合について説明を続ける。光源11は、変調信号生成部12が出力する変調信号によって駆動電流を直接変調する。
変調信号生成部12は、変調信号を生成する。変調信号生成部12は、主信号生成部13とAMCC信号生成部14と加算部15とを備える。
主信号生成部13には、主信号符号系列が入力される。主信号生成部13は、入力された主信号符号系列に基づいて主信号を生成する。主信号生成部13は、生成した主信号を加算部15へ出力する。
加算部15は、主信号生成部13が出力した主信号にAMCC信号生成部14が出力したAMCC信号と直流バイアスとを加算し、光源11に出力する。図1では、直流バイアスが変調信号生成部12の内部から加算部15へ入力されるように記載されているが、直流バイアスが変調信号生成部12の外部から加算部15へ入力されてもよい。
(C)に示すような変調信号でレーザを直接変調する場合,強度と周波数が変調される。この時、(A)や(B)に対して直流バイアスを十分に大きく設定する場合には強度変調成分が小さくなるため、無視できる。本実施形態では、強度変調成分は無視できるほど小さいものとして説明する。
受信装置20は、局発光生成部21とコヒーレント受信器22とADC(analog to digital converter)23とDSP処理部24とを備える。
局発光生成部21は、局発光を生成する。局発光は、受信装置20に搭載されているレーザ光である。
コヒーレント受信器22は、局発光生成部21が出力した局発光と送信装置10が送信した信号光とを受信する。コヒーレント受信器22は、受信した光信号をアナログ電気信号に変換する。具体的には、コヒーレント受信器22は、受信した局発光を用いて、コヒーレント受信を行い、受信した光信号の同相成分(I成分)と直交位相成分(Q成分)をアナログ電気信号に変換する。コヒーレント受信器22は、アナログ電気信号に変換した光信号のI成分およびQ成分(以下「受信信号」という)を、ADC23に出力する。
DSP処理部24は、ADC23が出力した離散化した受信信号にDSP処理を行い、受信信号から主信号とAMCC信号との各々に対応した符号系列を判定する。これによって、DSP処理部24は、受信信号から主信号とAMCC信号との各々に対応した符号系列を識別(復号)する。DSP処理部24は、主信号とAMCC信号との各々に対応した符号系列を判定した結果を出力する。
図5は、本実施形態に係る受信装置20の一例を示す図である。DSP処理部24は、複素振幅算出部24-1と、差動検波部24-2と、周波数オフセット補償部24-3と、等化処理部24-4と、判定部24-5と、フィルタ24-6と、ダウンサンプリング部24-7と、判定部24-8と、平均導出部24-9とを含む。
主信号符号系列の判定手順について説明する。
複素振幅算出部24-1は、ADC23が出力した離散化した受信信号に基づいて、複素振幅を算出する。具体的には、アナログ電気信号に変換した光信号のI成分およびQ成分を離散化した結果を、それぞれEIおよびEQとする。複素振幅算出部24-1は、EIおよびEQに基づいて、式(2)によって、複素振幅Eを算出する。

複素振幅算出部24-1は、複素振幅Eを差動検波部24-2に出力する。
図6に示すように、周波数オフセット量には、(i)局発光と信号光との中心周波数の差に由来する成分と、(ii)AMCC信号に由来する成分とが含まれる。仮に、(i)局発光と信号光との中心周波数の差に由来する成分が時間的に一定とした場合、周波数オフセット量はある直流成分にAMCC信号が重畳されたものとなる。
周波数オフセット補償部24-3は、周波数オフセット量の平均値を算出することによって(i)局発光と信号光との中心周波数の差に由来する成分を取得する。図5に戻り、説明を続ける。
差動検波部24-2が出力する信号が周波数オフセットによる位相回転成分を含む場合、閾値判定ができない。そこで周波数オフセット補償部24-3は差動検波部24-2から出力された信号から上記「(i)局発光と信号光との中心周波数の差に由来する成分」を検出し、それに基づき適当な回転量を与えることでこれを補償する。周波数オフセット補償部24-3は、周波数オフセットを補償した複素振幅を、等化処理部24-4に出力する。周波数オフセット補償部24-3は、周波数オフセット量をフィルタ24-6へ出力する。
周波数オフセット補償部24-3は、推定した周波数オフセット量(前記(i)局発光と信号光との中心周波数の差に由来する成分)をフィルタ24-6に送信する。
フィルタ24-6は、周波数オフセット補償部24-3が出力した周波数オフセット量の高周波成分(主信号成分)を除去する。フィルタ24-6は、高周波成分を除去した周波数オフセット量を、ダウンサンプリング部24-7と平均導出部24-9とへ出力する。
図7は、本実施形態に係る通信システム100に含まれる送信装置10の動作の一例を示すフローチャートである。
(ステップS1-1)
送信装置10において、主信号生成部13には、主信号符号系列が入力される。主信号生成部13は、入力された主信号符号系列に基づいて主信号を生成する。
(ステップS2-1)
送信装置10において、AMCC信号生成部14には、AMCC信号符号系列が入力される。AMCC信号生成部14は、入力されたAMCC信号符号系列に基づいてAMCC信号を生成する。
送信装置10において、主信号生成部13は、生成した主信号を加算部15へ出力する。AMCC信号生成部14は、生成したAMCC信号を加算部15へ出力する。加算部15は、主信号生成部13が出力した主信号にAMCC信号生成部14が出力したAMCC信号と直流バイアスとを加算し、光源11に出力する。
(ステップS4-1)
送信装置10において、光源11は、変調信号生成部12が出力する変調信号によって駆動電流を直接変調することによって、信号光を送信する。
(ステップS1-2)
受信装置20において、局発光生成部21は、局発光を生成する。
(ステップS2-2)
受信装置20において、コヒーレント受信器22は、局発光生成部21が出力した局発光と送信装置10が送信した信号光とを受信する。コヒーレント受信器22は、受信した光信号をアナログ電気信号に変換する。
(ステップS3-2)
受信装置20において、ADC23は、コヒーレント受信器22が出力した受信信号をサンプリングして、離散化する。ADC23は、離散化した受信信号をDSP処理部24に出力する。
(ステップS4-2)
受信装置20において、DSP処理部24は、ADC23が出力した離散化した受信信号にDSP処理を行い、受信信号から主信号とAMCC信号との各々に対応した符号系列を判定する。
(ステップS1-3)
受信装置20において、複素振幅算出部24-1は、ADC23が出力した離散化した受信信号に基づいて、複素振幅を算出する。複素振幅算出部24-1は、複素振幅Eを差動検波部24-2に出力する。
(ステップS2-3)
受信装置20において、差動検波部24-2は、複素振幅算出部24-1の出力に基づいて、作動検波を行い、位相変化量を位相に持つ複素振幅を算出する。
(ステップS3-3)
受信装置20において、周波数オフセット補償部24-3は、差動検波部24-2の出力、つまり複素振幅の周波数オフセットを補償する。周波数オフセット補償部24-3は、周波数オフセットを補償した複素振幅を、等化処理部24-4に出力する。周波数オフセット補償部24-3は、周波数オフセット量を、フィルタ24-6へ出力する。
受信装置20において、等化処理部24-4は、周波数オフセット補償部24-3が出力した周波数オフセットを補償した複素振幅の伝送路2で受けた波形歪を補償する。等化処理部24-4は、周波数オフセットを補償した複素振幅の波形歪を補償した結果を、判定部24-5へ出力する。
(ステップS5a-3)
判定部24-5は、等化処理部24-4が出力した周波数オフセットを補償した複素振幅の波形歪を補償した結果に対して閾値判定を行うことによって、主信号の符号系列を判定する。
(ステップS6a-3)
受信装置20において、判定部24-5は、主信号の符号系列を判定した結果を出力する。
受信装置20において、フィルタ24-6は、周波数オフセット補償部24-3が出力した周波数オフセット量に基づいて、周波数オフセット量の高周波成分を除去する。フィルタ24-6は、高周波成分を除去した周波数オフセット量を、ダウンサンプリング部24-7と平均導出部24-9とに出力する。
(ステップS5b-3)
受信装置20において、ダウンサンプリング部24-7は、フィルタ24-6が出力した高周波成分を除去した周波数オフセット量に基づいて、AMCC信号のシンボルレートまでダウンサンプリングを行うことによってシンボルを抽出する。
(ステップS6b-3)
受信装置20において、平均導出部24-9は、フィルタ24-6が出力した高周波成分を除去した周波数オフセット量の平均を導出する。平均導出部24-9は、平均の導出結果を判定部24-8に出力する。
判定部24-8は、ダウンサンプリング部24-7が出力したシンボルと、平均導出部24-9が導出した平均とに基づいて、平均の導出結果を閾値として、ダウンサンプリング部24-7が抽出したシンボルに対して閾値判定を行うことでAMCC信号に対応する符号系列を判定する。
(ステップS7b-3)
受信装置20において、判定部24-8は、AMCC信号に対応する符号系列の判定結果を出力する。
このように構成された受信装置20では、DSP処理部24が周波数オフセット量を解析し、解析結果に基づいて閾値判定することでAMCC信号の符号系列を判定するため、主信号とAMCC信号との分離をDSP処理部24で、電気信号で行うことが可能となる。
光信号で主信号とAMCC信号との分離を行う場合には、コヒーレント受信器における受信光強度が減少し雑音特性が劣化する。また、光信号で主信号とAMCC信号との分離を行う場合には、AMCC受信用のデバイスが必要である。このように構成された受信装置20では、主信号とAMCC信号との分離をDSP処理部24で、電気信号で行うため、AMCC受信用のデバイスを使用することなく、雑音特性を改善できる。
このように構成された受信装置20では、主信号とAMCC信号との分離をDSP処理部24で、電気信号で行うため、雑音特性を改善することが可能となる。
本発明の第2実施形態について、図面を参照して詳細に説明する。
図10は、本発明の第2実施形態に係る通信システム100aのシステム構成例を示す図である。
通信システム100aは、送信装置10aと受信装置20aとを備える。
第1実施形態では,AMCC信号が周波数オフセット量に比例することを用いて周波数オフセット補償部24-3が出力した周波数オフセット量に基づいてAMCC信号を識別していた。
光源11の周波数と局発光の周波数との差が変動する場合には、局発光と信号光の中心周波数の差に由来する成分も変化する。局発光と信号光の中心周波数の差に由来する周波数オフセットの変動とAMCC信号による周波数オフセット変動とが同じ周波数領域にある場合、AMCC信号を分離することができない。そこで、第2実施形態に係る受信装置20aは、光源11の周波数と局発光の周波数との差が変動する場合に、AMCC信号を分離する。
送信装置10aは、光源11と変調信号生成部12aとを備える。
変調信号生成部12aは、変調信号を生成する。変調信号生成部12aは、主信号生成部13とAMCC信号生成部14と加算部15とサブキャリア生成部16と乗算部17とを備える。
サブキャリア生成部16は、サブキャリアを生成する。
乗算部17は、AMCC信号生成部14が生成したAMCC信号にサブキャリア生成部16が生成したサブキャリアを重畳する。
加算部15は、主信号生成部13が出力した主信号と乗算部17が出力したAMCC信号にサブキャリアを重畳した信号と直流バイアスとを加算し、光源11に出力する。図10では、直流バイアスが変調信号生成部12aの内部から加算部15へ入力されるように記載されているが、直流バイアスが変調信号生成部12aの外部から加算部15へ入力されてもよい。
受信装置20aは、局発光生成部21とコヒーレント受信器22とADC23とDSP処理部24aとを備える。
DSP処理部24aは、ADC23が出力した離散化した受信信号にDSP処理を行い、受信信号から主信号とAMCC信号との各々に対応した符号系列を判定する。DSP処理部24aは、主信号とAMCC信号との各々に対応した符号系列を判定した結果を出力する。
図11は、本実施形態に係る受信装置20aのDSP処理部24aの詳細の一例を示す図である。DSP処理部24aは、複素振幅算出部24-1と、差動検波部24-2と、周波数オフセット補償部24-3と、等化処理部24-4と、判定部24-5と、フィルタ24-6と、ダウンコンバート部24a-7と、ダウンサンプリング部24a-8と、判定部24a-9と、平均導出部24a-10とを含む。
AMCC信号の符号系列の判定手順について説明する。
フィルタ24-6は、周波数オフセット補償部24-3が出力した周波数オフセット量に基づいて、AMCC信号の周波数帯域の信号以外をフィルタリング(除去)することによって、AMCC信号の周波数帯域の信号を切り出す(抽出する)。AMCC信号の周波数帯域の信号を切り出すことによって、局発光と信号光との周波数差に由来の成分を除去する。フィルタ24-6は、抽出したAMCC信号の周波数帯域の信号を、ダウンコンバート部24a-7へ出力する。
ダウンサンプリング部24a-8は、ダウンコンバートしたAMCC信号の周波数帯域の信号を、AMCC信号のシンボルレートまでダウンサンプリングすることによってシンボルを抽出する。ダウンサンプリング部24a-8は、抽出したシンボルを判定部24a-9へ出力する。
判定部24a-9は、ダウンサンプリング部24a-8の出力、つまりシンボルと、平均導出部24a-10が導出した平均の導出結果とに基づいて、平均の導出結果を閾値として、シンボルに対して閾値判定を行うことでAMCC信号を判定する。判定部24a-9は、AMCC信号の判定結果を出力する。
図12において、(a)はDSP処理部24aに入力される離散化した受信信号の周波数スペクトルの一例を示す。(b)はフィルタ24-6によって切り出されたAMCC信号の周波数帯域の信号の一例を示す。(c)はダウンコンバート部24a-7によってダウンコンバートされたAMCC信号の周波数帯域の信号の一例を示す。
図13は、本実施形態に係る通信システム100aに含まれる送信装置10aの動作の一例を示すフローチャートである。
(ステップS1-4)
送信装置10aにおいて、主信号生成部13には、主信号符号系列が入力される。主信号生成部13は、入力された主信号符号系列に基づいて主信号を生成する。
(ステップS2-4)
送信装置10aにおいて、AMCC信号生成部14には、AMCC信号符号系列が入力される。AMCC信号生成部14は、入力されたAMCC信号符号系列に基づいてAMCC信号を生成する。
(ステップS3-4)
送信装置10aにおいて、サブキャリア生成部16は、サブキャリアを生成する。
送信装置10aにおいて、乗算部17は、AMCC信号生成部14が生成したAMCC信号にサブキャリア生成部16が生成したサブキャリアを重畳する。
(ステップS5-4)
送信装置10において、主信号生成部13は、生成した主信号を加算部15へ出力する。乗算部17は、AMCC信号にサブキャリアを重畳した信号を加算部15へ出力する。加算部15は、主信号生成部13が出力した主信号と乗算部17が出力したAMCC信号にサブキャリアを重畳した信号と直流バイアスとを加算し、光源11に出力する。
(ステップS6-4)
送信装置10aにおいて、光源11は、変調信号生成部12aが出力する変調信号によって駆動電流を直接変調することによって、CPFSKの信号光を送信する。
(ステップS1-5)
受信装置20aにおいて、局発光生成部21は、局発光を生成する。
(ステップS2-5)
受信装置20aにおいて、コヒーレント受信器22は、局発光生成部21が出力した局発光と送信装置10aが送信した信号光とを受信する。コヒーレント受信器22は、受信した光信号をアナログ電気信号に変換する。
(ステップS3-5)
受信装置20aにおいて、ADC23は、コヒーレント受信器22が出力した受信信号をサンプリングして、離散化する。ADC23は、離散化した受信信号をDSP処理部24aに出力する。
(ステップS4-5)
受信装置20aにおいて、DSP処理部24aは、ADC23が出力した離散化した受信信号にDSP処理を行い、受信信号から主信号とAMCC信号との各々に対応した符号系列を復号する。
ステップS1-6からS6a-6は、図9を適用できるため、ここでの説明は省略する。
(ステップS4b-6)
受信装置20aにおいて、フィルタ24-6は、周波数オフセット補償部24-3が出力した周波数オフセット量に基づいて、AMCC信号の周波数帯域の信号以外をフィルタリング(除去)することによって、AMCC信号の周波数帯域の信号を切り出す(抽出する)。フィルタ24-6は、取得したAMCC信号の周波数帯域の信号を、ダウンコンバート部24a-7へ出力する。
(ステップS5b-6)
受信装置20aにおいて、ダウンコンバート部24a-7は、フィルタ24-6が出力したAMCC信号の周波数帯域の信号を取得し、取得したAMCC信号の周波数帯域の信号をベースバンドにダウンコンバートする。ダウンコンバート部24a-7は、ダウンコンバートしたAMCCの周波数帯域の信号をダウンサンプリング部24a-8と平均導出部24-9とへ出力する。
受信装置20aにおいて、ダウンサンプリング部24a-8は、ダウンコンバートしたAMCC信号の周波数帯域を、AMCC信号のシンボルレートまでダウンサンプリングすることによってシンボルを抽出する。
(ステップS7b-6)
受信装置20aにおいて、平均導出部24a-10は、ダウンコンバート部24a-7が出力したダウンコンバートしたAMCCの周波数帯域の信号の平均を導出する。平均導出部24a-10は、平均の導出結果を判定部24a-9に出力する。判定部24a-9は、ダウンサンプリング部24a-8の出力、つまりシンボルと、平均導出部24a-10が導出した平均の導出結果とに基づいて、平均の導出結果を閾値として、シンボルに対して閾値判定を行うことでAMCC信号に対応する符号系列を判定する。
(ステップS7b-6)
受信装置20aにおいて、判定部24a-9は、AMCC信号の判定結果を出力する。
このように構成された受信装置20aでは、DSP処理部24aが周波数オフセット量を解析し、解析結果に基づいて閾値判定することでAMCC信号の符号系列を判定するため、主信号とAMCC信号との分離をDSP処理部24aで、電気信号で行うことが可能となる。
このように構成された受信装置20では、主信号とAMCC信号との分離をDSP処理部24aで、電気信号で行うため、雑音特性を改善することが可能となる。
前述した第1実施形態と第2実施形態とにおいて、コヒーレント受信器22は受信部の一例であり、周波数オフセット補償部24-3は周波数オフセット量取得部の一例であり、平均導出部24-9、24a-10は導出部の一例であり、フィルタ24-6は周波数成分除去部の一例である。
Claims (8)
- 主信号と、主信号に対して周波数の低い制御信号とを加算した信号で周波数変調された信号光を受信し、アナログ電気信号に変換する受信部と、
前記アナログ電気信号に基づいて前記制御信号に対応した符号系列を取得する処理部と
を備え、
前記処理部は、前記アナログ電気信号に基づいて取得される前記信号光の周波数オフセット量を取得する周波数オフセット量取得部と、
前記周波数オフセット量取得部が取得した前記周波数オフセット量に基づいて制御信号に対応する符号系列を判定する判定部と
を備える、受信装置。 - 前記処理部は、
前記周波数オフセット量の統計値を導出する導出部
をさらに備え、
前記判定部は、前記導出部が導出した前記統計値に基づいて制御信号に対応する符号系列を判定する、請求項1に記載の受信装置。 - 前記処理部は、
前記周波数オフセット量の高周波成分を除去する周波数成分除去部と、
前記周波数成分除去部によって高周波成分が除去された前記周波数オフセット量に対してダウンサンプリングを行うことによって前記制御信号に対応するシンボルを抽出するダウンサンプリング部と
をさらに備え、
前記判定部は、前記ダウンサンプリング部によって抽出された前記シンボルに基づいて制御信号に対応する符号系列を判定する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の受信装置。 - 主信号と、主信号に対して周波数の低い制御信号にサブキャリアを重畳した信号とを加算した信号で周波数変調された信号光を受信し、アナログ電気信号に変換する受信部と、
前記アナログ電気信号に基づいて前記制御信号に対応した符号系列を取得する処理部と
を備え、
前記処理部は、
前記アナログ電気信号に基づいて取得される前記信号光の周波数オフセット量を取得する周波数オフセット量取得部と、
前記周波数オフセット量取得部が取得した前記周波数オフセット量をベースバンドにダウンコンバートするダウンコンバート部と、
前記ダウンコンバート部によってベースバンドにダウンコンバートされた前記周波数オフセット量に基づいて制御信号に対応する符号系列を判定する判定部と
を備える、受信装置。 - 前記処理部は、
前記周波数オフセット量から前記制御信号の周波数帯域の信号以外を除去する周波数成分除去部と、
前記制御信号の周波数帯域の前記周波数オフセット量の統計値を導出する導出部と
をさらに備え、
前記判定部は、前記導出部が導出した前記統計値に基づいて制御信号に対応する符号系列を判定する、請求項4に記載の受信装置。 - 前記処理部は、
ベースバンドにダウンコンバートされた前記制御信号の周波数帯域の前記周波数オフセット量に対してダウンサンプリングを行うことによって前記制御信号に対応するシンボルを抽出するダウンサンプリング部
をさらに備え、
前記判定部は、前記ダウンサンプリング部によって抽出された前記シンボルに基づいて制御信号に対応する符号系列を判定する、請求項4又は請求項5に記載の受信装置。 - 主信号と、主信号に対して周波数の低い制御信号とを加算した信号で周波数変調された信号光を受信し、アナログ電気信号に変換するステップと、
前記アナログ電気信号に基づいて取得される前記信号光の周波数オフセット量を取得するステップと、
前記周波数オフセット量に基づいて制御信号に対応する符号系列を判定するステップと
を有する、受信装置が実行する受信方法。 - 主信号と、主信号に対して周波数の低い制御信号にサブキャリアを重畳した信号とを加算した信号で周波数変調された信号光を受信し、アナログ電気信号に変換するステップと、
前記アナログ電気信号に基づいて取得される前記信号光の周波数オフセット量を取得するステップと、
前記周波数オフセット量をベースバンドにダウンコンバートするステップと、
ベースバンドにダウンコンバートされた前記周波数オフセット量に基づいて制御信号に対応する符号系列を判定するステップと
を有する、受信装置が実行する受信方法。
