- Patent Document 2 describes a method for manufacturing a porous glass preform using the OVD method, in which a relative vibrational motion is generated between a plurality of burner arrays arranged along the entire length of the preform and a starting member. So, a method of depositing a glass suit on a starting member is disclosed.
- the vibration motion in Patent Document 2 repeats reciprocating with a length less than the total length of the preform, and changes the turning point in the manufacturing process.
- the method for manufacturing an optical fiber base material is as follows.
- a method for manufacturing an optical fiber base material which manufactures an optical fiber base material having a core portion and a clad portion by using a manufacturing facility equipped with at least three burners.
