Abstract

The invention relates to a furniture corner element (2), in particular a shelf, with at least one bearing plane, having: a cuboid-shaped frame (3) with a rectangular base surface, in particular a square base surface, at least one base opening (31), a cover opening (32) which is aligned parallel to the base opening (31), and at least two lateral openings (33); a base (6) which is received in the base opening (31); a cover panel (8) which is received in the cover opening (32); a lateral panel (4) which is received in one of the lateral openings (33) and which at least partly closes the lateral opening (33); and at least one rotational fitting (7) which is arranged on the base (6) lower face facing away from the cover panel (8) and/or on the cover panel (8) upper face facing away from the base (6). The rotational fitting (7) has two support surfaces (71, 72) which face each other and have at least one respective running groove in which rolling bodies are guided, said running grooves being shaped such that the first support surface (71) can be moved relative to the second support surface (72) from a starting position into an intermediate position and then into an open end position and back into the starting position in a combined translational-rotational movement, wherein the proportional translation movement is aligned at an angle of 45° to one of the lateral edges of the base surface of the frame (3), and the center of the furniture corner element (2) has the same spatial coordinates in the starting position as well as in the open end position. The invention additionally relates to a piece of furniture (100) comprising at least one such furniture corner element (2).

Description

The present invention relates to a furniture corner element with at least one storage level.

Such furniture corner elements are placed either as pieces of furniture such as a shelf in a corner of a room or as part of a piece of furniture in a corner area of the furniture body and can be moved from an initial position to an open or use position by a combined rotation-translation movement.

Usually, in such a furniture corner element, the at least one storage level is covered by side walls of the furniture corner element in a starting position, so that the objects stored in the furniture corner element are hidden from view and/or protected from dirt in the starting position and are easily accessible after the translational-rotational movement has taken place. Rotary fittings, which are attached to the floor and/or a ceiling of the furniture corner element and have two mutually movable bearing surfaces with rolling elements guided in running grooves, are used for the translational-rotational movement.

The object of the present invention is to provide a furniture corner element with increased stability, which can be moved with a precise fit from an initial position into an opening end position.

This problem is solved by a furniture corner element with the features of claim 1.

The furniture corner element according to the invention has a cuboid frame with a rectangular, in particular square base area with at least one floor opening and a ceiling opening aligned parallel to the floor opening and at least two side openings.

A bottom plate is accommodated in the bottom opening. A ceiling panel is accommodated in the ceiling opening. In at least one of the side openings a side panel that at least partially closes the side opening is accommodated.

The furniture corner element also has at least one rotary fitting, which is arranged on an underside of the floor panel facing away from the cover panel and/or on an upper side of the cover panel facing away from the floor panel. This rotary fitting has two mutually facing bearing surfaces, each with at least one running groove in which rolling elements are guided.

The running grooves are shaped in such a way that the first bearing surface can be moved relative to the second bearing surface from a starting position into an intermediate position into an opening end position and back into the starting position in a combined translational-rotational movement. The proportionate translational movement is aligned at 45° to one of the side edges of the base of the frame.

A center point of the furniture corner element has the same spatial coordinates in the starting position and the opening end position.

Such a furniture corner element is characterized by a special stability due to the cuboid frame, which ensures that the two bearing surfaces of the rotary fitting always run parallel to one another during the translational-rotational movement, without gravity causing one to sag during the translational-rotational movement unsupported area of one of the bearing surfaces.

Advantageous variants of the invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims.

According to an advantageous embodiment variant, the first bearing surface of the rotary fitting is formed on the floor panel/ceiling panel.

According to an alternative embodiment variant, the first bearing surface of the rotary fitting is attached to the floor panel/ceiling panel. This variant also enables a furniture corner element to be easily retrofitted with such a rotary fitting. According to a further preferred embodiment variant, the side plate is designed as a holding plate to which a decorative plate is attached.

This enables a simple exchange of such a decorative panel and thus a simple possibility of adapting the design of the furniture corner element to its surroundings.

According to a preferred embodiment variant, the decorative side of the decorative panel is fastened flush with an outer surface of the part of the framework forming the side opening in the side opening.

In this embodiment variant, the running grooves are preferably shaped in such a way that the base area of the frame structure in the starting position is congruent with the base area of the frame structure in the opening end position.

According to an alternative embodiment variant, the decorative panel is attached to the side panel in front of the frame.

Here, the running grooves are preferably shaped in such a way that the base of the frame in the opening end position is offset by the material thickness of the decorative panel multiplied by /2 to the base of the frame in the starting position.

This enables the furniture corner element to be fitted exactly in the starting position and the opening end position on the same base area.

According to a preferred development, the decorative panel is fastened to the side panel in such a way that it can be aligned relative thereto with the aid of at least one adjustment unit.

This enables the edges of the decorative panel to be adapted in a simple manner, in particular in the furniture corner element installed in a piece of furniture, to the edges of the surrounding piece of furniture.

In a further preferred embodiment, decorative panels are arranged at two adjacent side openings, with edge regions of the decorative panels that are close to one another being rounded and forming a common circular arc section. According to preferred embodiments, the rotational component of the movement is 90° or 180° between the starting position and the opening end position.

According to a further preferred embodiment variant, the framework has four side openings, plates which at least partially close the side openings being inserted in two adjacent side openings.

The framework itself preferably consists of a large number of hollow profile elements.

Alternatively, it is also conceivable to form the frame in one piece.

According to an advantageous further development, at least some of the frame profile elements or a section of the framework is designed in cross-section as a closed polygon with legs aligned at right angles to one another, from the outer surface of which at least one holding web extends.

The closed polygon enables a stable construction of the furniture corner element, which allows at least one holding web to hold shelves or the like in a simple manner.

The piece of furniture according to the invention with a body having a plurality of side walls and a cover panel is characterized by at least one furniture corner element, as described above, which is accommodated in a front side area of the piece of furniture.

In the following description of the figures, terms such as top, bottom, left, right, front, back, etc. refer exclusively to the exemplary representation and position of the furniture corner elements, furniture, frame, side panel, decorative panel and the like selected in the respective figures. These terms are not to be understood as limiting, i.e. these references can change due to different working positions or the mirror-symmetrical design or the like.

In FIGS. 1 to 4, reference numeral 2 designates a variant of a furniture corner element. Each of these furniture corner elements 2 is built into a respective front side area of a piece of furniture 100 here.

The overall height of one of the furniture corner elements 2 can correspond to the height of the piece of furniture 100, minus a furniture foot 102 on which a body of the piece of furniture 100 stands.

The furniture corner elements 2 can be moved in translation and rotation within the piece of furniture 100, while the other front panels 103, 104, 105 shown here are pivotably held on the furniture body as front panels of drawers or via lateral hinges.

The piece of furniture 100 is covered by a cover plate 101 at the top.

The furniture corner elements 2 are mounted in the furniture 100 here in such a way that they can be moved by a combined translational-rotational movement from an initial position shown in Figure 1 in the direction R1 or R2 to a position shown in Figure 4 shown opening end position are movable, in which the furniture corner elements

2 occupy the same space within the piece of furniture 100 as in the starting position shown in FIG.

Intermediate positions at a rotation angle of 60° of the furniture corner elements 2 are shown in FIGS. 2a and b, and the position at a covered rotation angle of 120° is shown in FIGS. 3a and 3b.

An exploded view of a preferred embodiment of such a furniture corner element 2 is shown in FIG.

The furniture corner element 2 has a cuboid frame 3 with a square base area here with at least one floor opening 31 and a ceiling opening 32 aligned parallel to the floor opening 31 and here four side openings 33 .

It is also conceivable to form the base area as a non-square rectangle, the ratio of mutually perpendicular side lengths forming the base area preferably being between 1:1 and 1:1.2.

As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a bottom plate 6 is accommodated in the bottom opening 31 . Correspondingly, a ceiling panel 8 is accommodated in the ceiling opening 32 . A side plate 4 closing the side opening 33 is accommodated in each of two of the side openings 33 .

It is also conceivable here to design the dimensions of the side plate 4 in such a way that it only closes part of the side opening 33 in order to enable a partial area of the furniture corner element 2 in the starting position shown in Figures 1a and 1b in every position of the furniture corner element 2 is accessible.

In the preferred embodiment variant shown here, the side plates 4 are dimensioned in such a way that the side openings 33 are completely closed by them.

Furthermore, a rotary fitting 7 is arranged on an underside of the base plate 6 facing away from the corners of the cover plate 8 and a further rotary fitting 7 is arranged on an upper side of the cover plate 8 facing away from the base plate 6 . It is also conceivable here to arrange such a rotary fitting 7 only on the base plate 6 or only on the cover plate 8 .

The rotary fitting 7 has two mutually facing bearing surfaces 71, 72, each with at least one running groove, in which rolling bodies are guided.

The running grooves are shaped in such a way that the first bearing surface 71 moves relative to the second bearing surface 72 from a starting position, shown in Figures 1a, 1b, to an opening end position, shown in Figures 4a, 4b, and back to the starting position in a combined translation -Rotational movement is movable.

The proportionate translational movement is aligned at 45° to one of the side edges of the base area of the framework 3 .

A center point of the furniture corner element 2 has the same spatial coordinates in the starting position and in the opening end position. This means that the combined translational-rotational movement can move furniture corner element 2 from the starting position shown in Figures 1a and 1b, in which the front surface and the side surface, which closes furniture corner element 2 to the outside in this position, are flush with front panel 103 and the aligned with these associated side plates, can be moved into an equally flush opening end position, in which, in the position shown in FIGS. 4a and 4b, vertical struts designed as hollow profile elements 34 are aligned flush with the corners of the furniture 100.

In each of the furniture corner elements 2, one or more shelves 9 are also preferably fixed within the framework 3 in order to design the furniture corner element 2 with one or more storage levels.

As an alternative to the variant of the furniture corner element 2 shown in FIG. 5, it is also conceivable to form the first bearing surface 71 of the rotary fitting directly on the base plate 6 or cover plate 8 .

In the preferred embodiment variant shown here, the first bearing surface 71 of the rotary fitting 7 is attached to the base plate 6 or the cover plate 8 . The top plate 8 and the bottom plate 6 cover the interior of the furniture corner element 2, the rotary fittings 7 arranged below or above.

As is also shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the side plate 4 is designed here as a holding plate to which a decorative plate 5 is attached, which in the starting position of the furniture corner element 2, as shown in FIGS. 1a and 1b, forms visible surfaces.

In a case in which the decorative side of the decorative panel 5 is positioned flush with an outer surface of the part of the frame 3 that forms the side opening 33 and is positioned in the side opening 33, the running grooves are shaped in such a way that the base surface of the frame 3 in the starting position is congruent with the Base of the frame 3 is in the opening end position.

In this variant (not shown here), the hollow profile elements 34 accordingly form the outer edges on each side of the furniture corner element 2 .

In the embodiment variant of such a furniture corner element 2 shown here, the decorative panels 5 are attached to the side panel 4 in front of the frame 3 .

Accordingly, the side plates 4 are fastened within the framework 3 in the side openings 33 .

Accordingly, in this embodiment variant, the running grooves are shaped such that the base of the frame 3 in the opening end position is offset by the material thickness of the decorative panel 5 multiplied by 2 relative to the base of the frame 3 in the starting position.

This ensures that when the furniture corner element 2 is pivoted into the end opening position shown in FIGS.

For the exact alignment of the decorative panels 5 within a piece of furniture 100 shown in Figures 1 to 4, each of the decorative panels 5 is using at least an adjusting unit 11 of a side plate 4 fixed relative to this alignable.

Such an adjustment is shown in FIGS. 6, 7, 10a to d and 11a to c. Such an adjustment unit 11 is essentially cylindrical in shape, which is embedded in corresponding adjustment unit receptacles 41 in the side plate 4 shown in FIG. The adjustment unit can also have other geometric shapes and function according to other principles.

Two such adjustment units 11 are preferably accommodated in corresponding adjustment unit receptacles 41 on each of the side plates 4 .

On the rear side of the decorative panel 5 facing the side panel 4, as shown in FIGS. 9 and 10a to d, a bore 51 is provided in each case, in which a retaining element, preferably in the form of a screw 10, is embedded.

A head of this screw 10 is hooked into a hook mount of the adjustment unit 11 . Then, by adjusting this hook element within the adjusting unit 11, both a

Vertical adjustment, as shown in FIGS. 10a to 10d, as well as a lateral adjustment, as shown in FIGS. 11a to 11c. The adjustment principles shown are generally known in the prior art.

If the decorative panel 5 is correctly aligned, a fixing screw 12, which can be screwed into a corresponding bore 42 in the side panel 4, is screwed into a corresponding bore 52 in the decorative panel 5 from the side of the side panel 4 facing away from the decorative panel 5 and thus secures it the current position.

Figure 8 shows the screw 10 protruding from the rear side of the decorative panel 5 facing the side panel 4.

The frame 3 of the furniture corner element 2 can be designed as a one-piece frame.

In the preferred embodiment variant shown here, the frame 3 is composed of a large number of hollow profile elements 34 . Preferably, at least some of the frame profile elements 34 or a section of the one-piece frame 3 is designed in cross section as a closed polygon 35 with legs aligned at right angles to one another, from the outer surface of which at least one holding web 36 extends. Some frame profile elements 34 also have grooves 37 due to the special arrangement of the holding webs 36.

Some preferred embodiment variants of such a cross-sectional design of frame profile elements 34 are shown in FIG.

The holding webs 36 preferably serve to hold the shelf 9 or to attach decorative elements.

The individual hollow profile elements 34 are connected to one another by corner connectors 38 .

An exemplary corner connector 38 is shown in Figures 14a and 14b. Each of the corner connectors 38 has a corner piece 381 from which arms 382 , which are aligned at right angles to one another, protrude and can be inserted into front-side receptacles of the hollow profile elements 34 .

The corner connectors 38 preferably also have respective bores 383 in the arms 382 .

Correspondingly, mounting holes 341 are provided in the hollow profile elements 34 in the region of their ends, through which the hollow profile elements 34 can be additionally secured with the corner connectors 38 using screws, plugs, bolts or other securing elements.

As is further shown in FIG. 13, in a preferred embodiment variant, the hollow profile elements 34 additionally have retaining bores 342, which are used to accommodate storage clamp holders 13, as are shown by way of example in FIG.

In the figures 15a, 15b and 16a, 16b another embodiment of a furniture corner element 2, installed in a piece of furniture 100 is shown.

In this embodiment variant, the decorative panels 5' are rounded on the vertical side areas facing one another and form together form a circular arc section, which here is flush with a rounded edge of the cover plate 101' and the rounded side edge of the front panels 103' of one under the furniture corner element 2, which forms the left side of the piece of furniture 100 in Figures 15 and 16.

While in the embodiment variants shown the opening end position is reached after a rotation of the furniture corner element 2 of 180°, it is also conceivable in an alternative embodiment variant not shown here to already reach this opening end position with a rotation of 90°.

Claims Furniture corner element (2), in particular a shelf with at least one storage level

- a cuboid frame (3) with a rectangular, in particular square base area with at least one floor opening (31) and a ceiling opening (32) aligned parallel to the floor opening (31) and at least two side openings (33),

- a base plate (6) accommodated in the base opening (31),

- a ceiling panel (8) accommodated in the ceiling opening (32),

- at least one side plate (4) accommodated in one of the side openings (33) and at least partially closing the side opening (33),

- at least one rotary fitting (7) which is arranged on an underside of the base plate (6) facing away from the cover plate (8) and/or on an upper side of the cover plate (8) facing away from the base plate (6),

- wherein the rotary fitting (7) has two mutually facing bearing surfaces (71, 72), each with at least one running groove, in which rolling elements are guided,
