Abstract

The invention relates to a furniture corner piece (2), in particular a bracket, having at least one bearing surface, comprising: -a cuboid-shaped frame (3) having a rectangular base surface, in particular a square base surface, at least one bottom opening (31), a cover opening (32) parallel to the bottom opening (31), and at least two side openings (33); a bottom plate (6) received in the bottom opening (31); a cover plate (8) received in the cover opening (32); a side plate (4) received in one of the side openings (33) and at least partially closing the side opening (33); and at least one swivel fitting (7) which is arranged on the lower surface of the base plate (6) facing away from the cover plate (8) and/or on the upper surface of the cover plate (8) facing away from the base plate (6). The swivel fitting (7) has two support surfaces (71, 72) which face one another and have at least one respective running groove, wherein the rolling bodies are guided, the running groove being shaped such that the first support surface (71) can be moved relative to the second support surface (72) in a combined translational-rotational movement from a starting position into an intermediate position and then into the starting position and back into the starting position, wherein the translational part of the movement makes an angle of 45 ° with one of the side edges of the base surface of the frame (3) and the center of the furniture corner (2) has the same spatial coordinates in the starting position and the starting position. Description

Furniture corner fitting

The invention relates to a furniture corner fitting with at least one storage layer.

Such furniture corner pieces can be placed either as furniture, for example brackets, in a corner of a room or as a component of furniture in a corner area of a furniture body and can be moved from an initial position to an open or use position by a combined rotary-translational movement.

Typically, in such furniture corner pieces, the at least one storage layer is hidden by the side walls of the furniture corner piece in an initial position, so that objects stored in the furniture corner piece are hidden from view and/or from dust in the initial position and are easily reached after the translational rotational movement has taken place. The rotary fittings are used for translational rotary movements, which fittings are connected to the bottom plate and/or the top plate of the furniture corner piece and have two bearing surfaces which are relatively movable by means of rolling bodies guided in running grooves.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a furniture corner fitting with enhanced stability which can be moved from an initial position to an open end position with a precise fit.

This object is achieved by a furniture corner piece having the features of claim 1.

The furniture corner piece according to the invention comprises a cuboid frame with a rectangular, in particular square, base area, with at least one bottom opening and a top opening parallel to the bottom opening, and with at least two side openings.

The bottom plate is received in the bottom opening. The top plate is received in the top opening. The at least one side opening accommodates a side panel that at least partially closes the side opening.

The furniture corner piece further comprises at least one swivel fitting arranged on the underside of the floor facing away from the floor and/or on the upper side of the floor facing away from the floor. The rotary fitting comprises two bearing surfaces which face each other and each have at least one running groove in which the rolling bodies are guided.

The running groove is shaped such that the first bearing surface is movable relative to the second bearing surface from an initial position to an intermediate position, to an open end position, and back to the initial position by a combined translational-rotational movement. The translating portion of the motion is oriented at 45 ° to one of the side edges of the frame base region.

The center point of the furniture corner piece comprises the same spatial coordinates in the initial position and the start position.

The furniture corner fitting is distinguished by a special stability due to the cuboid frame, which ensures that the two bearing surfaces of the swivel fitting are always parallel to one another during the translational-rotational movement, during which no gravity-induced bending of the region of one of the bearing surfaces that is not supported underneath occurs.

According to another preferred embodiment, the side panels are designed as fixing panels for connecting decorative panels.

According to a preferred embodiment, the decorative side of the decorative panel is fixed in the side opening flush with the outer surface of the frame part forming the side opening.

In this embodiment, the shape of the running groove is preferably such that the base area of the frame in the initial position is congruent with the base area of the frame in the open end position.

According to an alternative embodiment, the trim panel is attached to the side panel at the front of the frame.

In the following description of the drawings, terms such as top, bottom, left, right, front, rear, etc. are intended to refer to exemplary representations and positions of selected furniture corner pieces, furniture, frames, side panels, trim panels, etc. in the respective drawings. These terms should not be construed restrictively, i.e., different operating positions or mirror-symmetrical designs, etc., may vary these references.

In fig.1 to 4, reference numeral 2 denotes an embodiment of a furniture corner fitting. These furniture corner pieces 2 are each mounted in a respective front side region of the furniture 100.

Here, the overall height of one of the furniture corner pieces 2 may correspond to the height of the furniture 100 minus the height of the furniture leg 102, the body of the furniture 100 being supported on the furniture leg 102.

The furniture corner piece 2 can move both translationally and rotationally within the furniture 100, while the other front panels 103, 104, 105 shown here remain on the furniture body as front panels of the drawer or are pivotable by means of lateral hinges.

The top of the furniture 100 is covered by a cover plate 101.

The furniture corner pieces 2 are mounted in the piece of furniture 100 in such a way that they can be moved from the initial position shown in fig.1 in the direction R1 or R2 into the open end position shown in fig.4 by a combined translational-rotational movement, wherein the space taken up by the furniture corner pieces 2 in the piece of furniture 100 is identical to the initial position shown in fig. 1.

The intermediate position of the furniture corner piece 2 with a rotation angle of 60 ° is shown in fig. 2a and b, and the position covering a rotation angle of 120 ° is shown in fig. 3a and 3 b.

An exploded view of a preferred embodiment of such a furniture corner fitting 2 is shown in fig. 5.

The furniture corner piece 2 comprises a rectangular parallelepiped frame 3 with a square base area, here with at least one bottom opening 31 and one top opening 32 parallel to the bottom opening 31, and four side openings 33.

It is also conceivable to design the base region as a non-square rectangle, wherein the ratio of the side lengths perpendicular to each other and forming the base region is preferably in the range of 1:1 and 1: 1.2.

As shown in fig.5 and 6, the bottom plate 6 is received in the bottom opening 31. Accordingly, the top plate 8 is received in the top opening 32. The two side openings 33 respectively receive the side plates 4 closing the side openings 33.

It is also conceivable here to dimension the side panels 4 in such a way that they close only a part of the side openings 33, in order to allow the partial area of the furniture corner piece 2 to be accessible in the initial position shown in fig. 1a and 1b, in any positioning of the furniture corner piece 2.

In the preferred embodiment shown here, the side plates 4 are dimensioned such that the side openings 33 are completely closed by them.

Furthermore, a swivel fitting 7 is provided on the underside of the base plate 6 facing away from the corner of the base plate 8, while another swivel fitting 7 is provided on the upper side of the base plate 8 facing away from the base plate 6.

It is also conceivable here for such a swivel fitting 7 to be arranged only on the bottom plate 6 or only on the top plate 8.

The rotary fitting 7 comprises two bearing surfaces 71, 72 facing each other, each having at least one running groove in which the rolling bodies are guided.

The shape of the running groove is such that the first bearing surface 71 is movable relative to the second bearing surface 72 in a combined translational-rotational movement from the initial position shown in fig. 1a, 1b to the open end position shown in fig. 4a, 4b and back to the initial position.

The translational part of the movement is thus 45 deg. to one of the lateral sides of the base area of the frame 3.

The center point of the furniture corner piece 2 comprises the same spatial coordinates in the initial position and the start position. I.e. by means of a combined translational-rotational movement, the furniture corner piece 2 can be moved from an initial position shown in fig. 1a and 1b, in which the furniture corner piece 2 is flush with the front and side surfaces of the externally closed furniture and the front plate 103 and its associated side plates, to an open end position which is likewise flush, in which the vertical leg formed as a hollow profile 34 is flush with the corner of the furniture 100, in the position shown in fig. 4a and 4 b.

In each furniture corner piece 2, one or more brackets 9 are also preferably defined within the frame 3 to provide one or more storage layers for the furniture corner pieces 2.

Instead of the variant of the furniture corner piece 2 shown in fig.5, it is also possible to form the first bearing surface 71 of the swivel fitting 7 directly on the bottom plate 6 or the top plate 8.

In the preferred embodiment shown here, the first bearing surface 71 of the swivel fitting 7 is connected to the base plate 6 or the top plate 8.

The top plate 8 and the bottom plate 6 cover the interior of the furniture corner piece 2, under and on which the swivel fitting 7 is arranged, respectively.

As further shown in fig.5 and 6, the side panels 4 are here formed as fixed panels, to which decorative panels 5 are attached, which form a visible surface in the initial position of the furniture corner piece 2, as shown in fig. 1a and 1 b.

In the case where the decorative side of the decorative plate 5 is positioned at the side opening 33 flush with the outer surface of the portion of the frame 3 forming the side opening 33, the running groove is formed such that the base area of the frame 3 in the initial position is congruent with the base area of the frame 3 in the open position.

In this variant (not shown here), the hollow profile 34 forms the outer edges of the furniture corner piece 2 on both sides accordingly.

In the embodiment of such furniture corner fitting 2 shown here, a decorative panel 5 is attached to the side panel 4 in front of the frame 3.

The side plates 4 are correspondingly fastened in the frame 3 in the side openings 33.

In order to precisely align the trim panels 5 within the piece of furniture 100 shown in fig.1 to 4, each trim panel 5 is fixed in an alignable manner relative to the side panels 4 with the aid of at least one adjustment unit 11.

Such adjustments are shown in FIGS. 6, 7, 10a-d and 11 a-c. Such an adjustment unit 11 is essentially cylindrical, which is placed into a corresponding adjustment unit receptacle 41 of the side plate 4, as shown in fig. 6. The adjusting unit may also have other geometries and functions according to other principles.

Preferably, two such adjustment units 11 are accommodated in respective adjustment unit receptacles 41 on each side plate 4.

On the rear side of the decorative plate 5 facing the side plate 4, as shown in fig.9 and 10a-d, holes 51 are provided, respectively, in which fixing elements, preferably in the form of screws 10, are placed.

The head of this screw 10 is hooked into a hook receiving seat of the adjusting unit 11. Subsequently, by adjusting the hook element in the adjustment unit 11, both vertical adjustment is possible, as shown in fig.10 a-10d, and lateral adjustment is possible, as shown in fig.11 a-11 c. The adjustment principle shown is well known in the prior art.

When the trim panel 5 is properly aligned, the set screw 12, which can be screwed into the corresponding hole 42 in the side panel 4, is screwed into the corresponding hole 52 in the trim panel 5 from the side of the side panel 4 facing away from the trim panel 5, thereby clamping it in place.

Fig.8 shows the screw 10 protruding from the rear side of the decorative plate 5 facing the side plate 4.

The frame 3 of the furniture corner fitting 2 can be designed as a one-piece frame.

In the preferred embodiment shown here, the frame 3 consists of a plurality of hollow profile elements 34.

Preferably, at least a part of the number of hollow profile elements 34 or the cross-section of a partial section of the integrated frame 3 forms a closed polygon 35, the legs of which are arranged at right angles to each other, at least one fixing web 36 protruding from the outer surface thereof. Due to the special arrangement of the fixing webs 36, grooves 37 are additionally provided in some hollow profile elements 34.

Some preferred embodiments of the cross-sectional design of such hollow profile 34 are shown in fig. 12.

The fixing web 36 is preferably used for holding the bracket 9 or for connecting the trim part.

The hollow profile pieces 34 are interconnected by means of corner connectors 38.

An exemplary angle connector 38 is shown in fig.14 a and 14 b. Each corner connector 38 has a corner block 381 from which arms 382 project at right angles to each other, which can be inserted into the end receptacles of the hollow profile 34.

The corner connector 38 preferably still has a corresponding hole 383 in the arm 382.

Accordingly, mounting holes 341 are provided in the end region of hollow profile 34, through which mounting holes 341 hollow profile 34 can be additionally fastened to angle connector 38 by means of screws, plugs, bolts or other fastening means.

As further shown in fig.13, in a preferred embodiment, the hollow profile 34 additionally has a fixing hole 342 for receiving the carrier holder 13, as shown in the example of fig. 5.

Fig.15 a, 15b and 16a, 16b show another embodiment of a furniture corner fitting 2 installed in a piece of furniture 100.

In this embodiment, the decorative panels 5' are rounded at the facing vertical side regions and together form a circular arc section, which here is flush with the rounded edges of the front panel 103' and the cover panel 101' of the furniture corner piece 2, which forms the left side of the furniture 100 in fig.15 and 16.

Claims

1. Furniture corner fitting (2), in particular a bracket with at least one storage layer, comprising

A cuboid frame (3) with a rectangular, in particular square, base area, comprising at least one bottom opening (31) and a top opening (32) arranged parallel to the bottom opening (31), and at least two side openings (33),
