Definitions
- the present invention refers to an adapted mattress, which is provided with rows of parallel stabilizing cavities, located according to the characteristics of the user's body, where tubes that have different deformation properties can be inserted, so that the Mattress areas present different behaviors to the force applied by the user when lying on the mattress.
- the mattress offers each user the possibility of adapting the mattress to their physiognomy, ensuring the correct alignment of the spine.
- the mattress acts as a mold that adapts to the body of any person, no matter how disparate their morphological parameters, absorbing its protruding parts, the widest areas of the user's body, and pressing the recesses, the narrowest areas of the body. , thus achieving that in a lateral decubitus position the line of symmetry of the body is straight with respect to the plane in which the mattress rests. In this way, each user is offered a unique and personalized mattress.
- the main position recommended for sleeping is the lateral decubitus position and in this position it is essential that the back rests correctly on the mattress. This is due to the fact that the human skeleton has an oval shape and the resistance it confers when it comes to sleeping in a lateral decubitus position is much greater than that offered on the back or the stomach.
- both the posture when sleeping and the quality of the mattress can affect in the long run the appearance of premature osteoarthritis, displacement of vertebrae, protrusions, hernias, deficient or null nerve innervation due to vertebral obstruction, neurological diseases due to continuous stretching of nerves and meninges, night agitation, poor quality of sleep, as well as muscular and nervous tensions.
- the lateral decubitus position is the most appropriate, the general tendency is not to adopt this position since it is evident that such deformation and imbalance in the distribution of pressure on the mattress occurs on non-adapted surfaces that users choose for a less aggressive posture. In most cases, sleeping on non-adapted mattresses, we usually choose to sleep in other types of postures, which prevent us from resting properly and over time are the cause of multiple diseases.
- mattresses are known in the state of the art that attempt to adapt to the physiognomy of the patient.
- mattresses composed of materials that are deformed by the pressure exerted by the user are known in the state of the art, such as memory foam, latex, HR (High Resilience) mattresses, springs, etc.
- the present invention tries to solve some of the problems mentioned.
- the invention relates to an adapted mattress, provided with at least one body with a longitudinally extending quadrangular prismatic configuration, provided with an upper face, a lower face, two lateral faces, a front face, a rear face and at the least two rows of parallel cavities defined in at least one transversely extending side face.
- the mattress additionally comprises tubes that can be nested in the cavities.
- the mattress thanks to its rows of cavities in which the tubes can be inserted, acts as a mold of the body of any person, no matter how disparate their morphological parameters, absorbing the widest or most prominent parts of the user, hips and shoulders, for example, and pressing the entrances or narrower parts, such as the waist, thus achieving that the spine is completely straight. That is, it is achieved that an axis that passes through the middle of the head, the cervicals, and ends in the middle of the two feet is parallel to the lower face of the body of the mattress, achieving the objective of stabilizing the body without it suffer any kind of deformation.
- the design of the position and shape of the cavities, as well as the materials and densities of the tubes is carried out according to each user, so that each mattress adapts to the characteristics of each body.
- the tubes are positioned in the cavities based on the dimensions and other parameters of the user. Depending on the cavity in which they are inserted, they absorb the deformations of an area of the user's body and depending on the density of the tubes, they will deform more or less. Thus, for example, in the lumbar area you can place tubes that have a high hardness and in the shoulder area you can place tubes that have a lower hardness, so that in the areas where the body exerts more pressure the mattress is it deforms more easily and sinks allowing the correct alignment of the spine.
- the materials used both for the body of the mattress and for the tubes, as well as for the intermediate and external elements, can have different hardnesses, densities, resilience, etc.
- the main materials used for the Tubes are foaming materials of different hardnesses and densities so that they exhibit different deformation behaviors.
- the tubes can be hermetic sleeves whose interior can be filled with materials of all kinds, including tubes filled with air or water.
- two tubes can be inserted into a cavity, either separated by a longitudinal or transverse plane, in order to achieve the highest possible precision when building the mold for each person.
- the tubes are interchangeable and the mold configurations can be adapted to each user, the mold of the body of any person is built inside the mattress, no matter how disparate their morphological parameters, achieving the objective of stabilizing the human body without suffering damage.
- the body of the mattress comprises two rows of cavities that ensure that the mattress is deformed in the way that has been determined, being able to comprise, for example, three rows. If, for example, the user has a great difference between the width of the parts of his body, for example, very wide shoulders and hips and very narrow waist, the thickness of the mattress can be increased and a third row can be placed to serve as reinforcement for the others two rows of cavities.
- the tubes may preferably be of a complementary shape to that of the cavities.
- the cavities can extend throughout the mattress in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the mattress, or be only in the central part of the mattress, where the user rests his head up to the knee area, for example.
- the longitudinal axis is understood to be the one that passes through the longest side of the mattress, which is generally rectangular in shape, and the shortest side is transversal.
- the mattress may comprise through grooves on the upper face and on the lower face at the height of the cavities that connect the cavities with the outside of the mattress, so that the insertion of the tubes is facilitated. Thanks to these grooves, slats are created in the body for each cavity, which can be deformed for easy insertion of each tube.
- the cavities can extend from the lateral aspect to the vicinity of the middle of the body.
- the tube can be inserted by inserting it through one of the ends of the cavities.
- each half of the bed is personalized and they are built independently since the needs of both users are not the same.
- a longer size of tubes can be provided to reach both mattresses, joining them.
- the mattress can comprise two rows of cavities, at different heights arranged preferably in a staggered fashion, that is, in which, in the middle of two cavities of a row, another cavity is located in the row below. With this combination it is achieved that the hardness of each area and its deformation is as desired.
- the cavities may preferably have an oblong shape so that their deformation is facilitated.
- the cavities can be of different shapes depending on the person and the measurements, for example, square, circular, triangular or any other type, even combining several of these shapes in the same mattress.
- the mattress may comprise a padded outer element on top of the upper face intended to contact the user. In this way, a more homogeneous surface is provided that provides user comfort.
- the outer element can be attached to the body by means of a first zipper.
- the mattress may comprise an intermediate element between the outer element and the wedge-shaped body with an increasing inclination towards the rear face.
- the intermediate element may comprise a dihedral angle arranged in the third of the mattress closest to the rear face, that is, it comprises an upward inclination from the hips of an average adult user to the feet. Thus the legs are slightly raised, favoring circulation.
- the intermediate element can be provided with a bag that surrounds it, so that by lifting the outer element the bag is accessed and the intermediate element is inserted into it.
- the intermediate element can have different dimensions and can be made of different materials. In this way, the pressure received by the lower extremities relieves the hip of the excessive load and corrects the angulation and in turn contributes to a better positioning and distribution of the whole body.
- the mattress may comprise a cover that surrounds the body of the mattress provided with a second zipper facing the upper face and a third zipper facing the lower face that allow access to the body of the mattress.
- the body can comprise cavities in at least one side face in the vicinity of the front face and the mattress can comprise at least one plate that can be accommodated in said cavities.
- the recesses can be arranged in the outer element.
- the plates can have different densities and thicknesses, being removable and interchangeable with each other. In this way, it is avoided that when users with differences in width from waist to shoulder, or waist to hip are greater than that from shoulder to head, when building the mold of their body in the mattress, the head is raised up and manages to stabilize the head.
- the plates can be between the outer element and the body of the mattress.
- the plates can preferably be quadrangular in shape.
- Figure 1.- Shows a perspective view of a mattress.
- Figure 2. Shows a profile view of the mattress. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
