L'invention concerne un dispositif de réglage longitudinal (10) pour un siège de véhicule (1), en particulier pour un siège de véhicule automobile, comprenant au moins un premier rail (12), au moins un deuxième rail (14) qui est monté de manière à pouvoir être déplacé par rapport au premier rail (12) et au moins un élément de raccordement au sol (40) permettant de raccorder le premier rail (12) à la structure de véhicule (F). Le premier rail (12) comprend deux branches respectives (12b) qui font saillie sensiblement perpendiculairement à une section de base (12a), le premier rail (12) comprenant respectivement, dans des régions de transition de la section de base (12a), une section de contour (30) conduisant à l'une des deux branches (12b) le long d'un dispositif de réglage longitudinal du premier rail (12), ladite section de contour coopérant avec l'au moins un élément de base de sol (40). L'invention concerne en outre un siège de véhicule (1), en particulier un siège de véhicule automobile, présentant un dispositif de réglage longitudinal (10).
