- the display device comprises a plurality of displays, in particular those which are spaced apart from one another, each with a display surface
- the light-guiding optics comprises a plurality of light-guiding optic components and wherein one of the optic components is assigned to each of the display surfaces, so that the light emanating from the respective display surface enters the assigned optic component through an entry surface, in particular the light that has entered through the individual entry surfaces of the optical components exits through a common exit area or through several adjoining exit areas.
- the light-guiding optics can be designed in such a way that, when the display device is in operation, the light emanating from several display areas exits through the exit area or through several adjoining exit areas, with several display areas next to one another, preferably seamlessly, in particular onto the exit area or the several adjoining exit areas side by side.
- a structurally determined distance between the display surfaces of the displays can be closed by the light-conducting optics, so that the exit surface, which is curved, for example, gives the appearance of a single display.

- the cross-section preferably being frustoconical or truncated pyramidal and the smaller diameter of the truncated cone or the truncated pyramid at least one display surface faces.
- the exit area of the light-guiding optics is smaller than the display area of the respective display. in this case, the larger diameter of the truncated cone or the truncated pyramid faces the at least one display surface.
- the light guide within the light-guiding optics is based on the other-son localization, preferably the transversal Anderson localization.
- the transversal Anderson localization ensures that light in the light-guiding optics or in the light-guiding optic components can essentially only propagate in the direction in which the entry surface and the exit surface are opposite one another. This ensures that the arrangement of the pixels on the display surface of the display largely corresponds exactly to the arrangement of the pixels on the exit surface of the light-guiding optics or the light-guiding optic components.
- the flat shape of displays can be converted into any curved shape while retaining the image information.
- the light-guiding optics in particular each of the optics components, have at least two transparent, light-guiding materials with different refractive indices, wherein for example one of the materials can be air.
- Two light-conducting materials with different refractive indices can lead to the occurrence of the transverse Anderson localization. The effect is greater if the difference in the refractive indices is as large as possible.
- the transparent, light-conducting materials can in particular be plastic, glass or ceramic.
- the light-guiding optics in particular each of the light-guiding optic components, comprise a plurality of fibers, the individual fibers preferably having a cross section smaller than 500 nm. Due to the dimensions of the fibers in the range of the wavelength of visible light or in a size range that is smaller than the wavelength of visible light, the occurrence of the transverse Anderson localization is also favored.
- the light-guiding optics in particular each of the optics components, comprises a plurality of first fibers with a first refractive index and a plurality of second fibers with a second refractive index different from the first.
- the alternating fibers correspond to the two transparent, light-conducting materials with different refractive indices.

- the at least two optical materials with different refractive indices are stochastically or randomly arranged along two transverse dimensions of the light-guiding optics or the light-guiding optic components and run homogeneously along the third dimension, the third dimension being the direction of propagation of the from the at least one entrance surface to the Exit surface corresponds to propagating light.
- the refractive index is thus constant in one dimension along the respective fiber and randomized across all fibers along the two other dimensions. This favors the occurrence of the transversal Anderson localization, so that the light propagates essentially exclusively in the third dimension or in the direction in which the entry surface and the exit surface are opposite one another.
- the light-guiding optics in particular each of the optics components, is produced in that the majority of the first and second fibers or a plurality of fibers with air pockets are compressed, heated and drawn in a random order so that through When the different fibers or fibers with air pockets melt, a mixed, light-conducting material with at least two different refraction indices is created.
- the cross-section of the fibers can be reduced to dimensions smaller than 500 nm. Furthermore, this results in a firm connection between the individual fibers. If only one type of fiber with air pockets is used, the heating and drawing of the air pockets create elongated air channels that extend between the entry surface and the exit surface.
- the solid fibers and the air ducts are arranged stochastically or randomly.
- the display is designed as an LED display or as an OLED display or as an LC display or comprises an LED display or an OLED display or an LC display.
- Such displays are suitable for resting against the entry surface of the light-guiding optics without a gap.
- the display device can preferably be integrated into a headlight or a rear light.
- the exit surface can be adapted to the design of the headlight or the rear light.

Description
Anzeigevorrichtung für ein Kraftfahrzeug
Beschreibung
Dabei zeigt:

Fig. 3 eine perspektivische Ansicht einer zweiten Ausführungsform einer erfin dungsgemäßen Anzeigevorrichtung;
Fig. 4 eine Draufsicht auf eine dritte Ausführungsform einer erfindungsgemäßen Anzeigevorrichtung;
Fig. 5 eine Draufsicht auf eine vierte Ausführungsform einer erfindungsgemäßen Anzeigevorrichtung;
Fig. 6 eine Draufsicht auf eine fünfte Ausführungsform einer erfindungsgemäßen Anzeigevorrichtung;
