Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a beverage cup lid, in particular to a lid, such as a decomposable, recyclable and biodegradable beverage cup lid with a detachable stopper and a stopper holder.
  • Plastic #6 is composed of polystyrene, especially when it is heated, it will ooze a known carcinogen and toxin. Therefore, the problem of coffee lids made of plastic #6 is particularly serious because those coffee lids are exposed to the high temperature of hot coffee during their intended use.
  • Plastic #7 is composed of various plastics, such as plastic resins or combinations of other plastics, and has been found to include the chemical toxins bisphenol A (or BPA) and/or bisphenol S (or BPS). BPA and BPS are endocrine disruptors, which can produce adverse developmental effects, reproductive effects, neurological effects, and immunological effects. Therefore, beverage lids made of plastic #7 also have problems.
  • beverage cup lids and other food packaging products made of plastic #6 or plastic #7 also have a significant long-term impact on the environment, because these disposable plastics are not biodegradable and are accumulated in the trash. In the landfill, even if these items are decomposed, it will take hundreds or even thousands of years. At the same time, toxic chemicals seep out from these discarded items and affect the surrounding ecosystems by polluting soil and groundwater. Therefore, there is a need for a disposable beverage cup lid that is decomposable, recyclable and biodegradable.
  • an easy-to-use beverage cup lid for hot or cold drinking cups that is, such a lid that has a lid that can be selectively plugged by a user (for example, with a stopper) Prevent or reduce the possibility of fluid overflow, and in the presence of hot fluid, prevent or reduce the possibility of heat loss through it) straw holes, dispensing openings or "spouts", and in the entire process of the user drinking beverages , The plug will be easily retained by the user.
  • “loose" stoppers for such beverage cup lids are known, such stoppers can easily be misplaced or lost, especially when the user moves repeatedly during the normal course of normal drinking of the beverage in the cup with the lid placed on it. In case of removing and replacing the stopper. Therefore, there is also a need for a beverage cup lid that provides an effective and simple method for retaining the stopper when the stopper is not in use.
  • the present invention solves these and other problems related to the prior art by providing a lid having a lid with a dispensing opening, and a detachable plug integrally formed with the lid at the peripheral edge of the lid, And an integrated groove on the top of the lid.
  • the plug can be separated from the lid along the tear line.
  • the size of the protrusion on the stopper is designed to be friction-fitted in the dispensing opening on the lid so as to plug the dispensing opening.
  • the size of the protrusion on the stopper is also designed to be friction fit in the recess on the top of the cover, so as to retain or accommodate the stopper for subsequent use, thus preventing the loss of the stopper.
  • the lid can be used to create a sealed structure for cups for holding hot or cold beverages including coffee, tea or juice.
  • the lid is a decomposable, recyclable and biodegradable beverage cup lid.
