Abstract

The invention is related to the covering pad, which contains negative ions in it to prevent microbe reproduction and heal wounds of openings in the skin that may pose a risk of infection.

Description

SURGICAL WOUND COVERING PAD WITH NEGATIVE ION
CARTRIDGE
The invention is related to the covering pad, which contains negative ions in it to prevent microbe reproduction and heal wounds of openings in the skin that may pose a risk of infection.
Prior Art
The skin layer, located in the top layer of the human body, protects the body from harmful creatures that will produce infection by isolating it from external factors. If not covered properly, openings formed on the skin in any way (surgery, accident, incision, etc.) can cause the risk of infection and limb loss.
In the patent document entitled “controlled release-nano silver immobilized antibacterial wrap cloth”, issue no. 2015/06408, which is in the prior art, antibacterial wrap cloth containing nano silver ions and silver coated zinc oxide is mentioned. Formations that will create a risk of infection in skin openings cannot multiply by disrupting the structure of silver ions and ensure that the area in which they come into contact is antibacterial. Silver ions, which will be produced in Nano size, make the product costly for the end user, and silver ions that cannot be immobilized cause permanent DNA damage.
Another solution included in the current technique is the patent document entitled “pharmaceutical release absorbative composite band-aid”, published in 2017/22878. Accordingly, the band-aid is formed by combining a polymer solution of propolis extract- polyvinyl alcohol prepared in certain proportions into a layer of plaster that allows the nanolyph surface to be fixed to the human body. The release of a solution that provides antibacteriality to the place where the band-aid is fixed to the body with propolis alcohol solution, which is mentioned as a drug, cannot maintain its antibacterial property for a long time due to the volatility of alcohol and therefore cannot remain sterile for a long time.
A patent document entitled “antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic carbon nanoparticle reinforced materials”, issue no. 2018/08148, which is also within the prior art, mentions the application of nano- sized carbon atoms to band-aids. Activated carbon atoms are intended to hold impurities, but due to the carbon structure, bonding with many molecules will not be able to maintain their retention property for long-term against proliferating bacterial species. In addition, producing carbon at the nanometer order will cause extra costs.
In the patent document entitled "Chitosan sponge mat adhesive bandage capable of rapidly stopping bleeding and preparation method of chitosan sponge mat adhesive bandage", issue no. CN107496973 , which is also within the prior art", is made by impregnating glucose, mannose and chitosan into the bandage made of viscose fabric and sponge consists. The invention was developed to stop bleeding into openings that are bleeding. Chitosan's absorbent property acts as a buffer, glucose and mannose solutions accelerate the synthesis of thrombin (thrombin) protein and shorten the blood clotting time. In addition, in the invention, the antibacterial property of chitosan was not used, its high absorbent property was used to stop bleeding.
Purpose Of Invention
One of the goals of the invention is that it is a product that is low in cost and easy to manufacture. Its other purpose is to reduce the healing time of the wound by preserving the sterilization of the area in which it comes into contact for a long time.
Another goal is to reduce the risk of infection and ensure tissue repair in cases where tissue integrity is impaired after surgery.
Another goal is that it is an environmental product that recovers products used as waste in the marine food industry.
Brief Description of the Invention
The invention relates to a covering pad containing negative ions for preventing microbial growth of skin openings and wound healing, which is at risk of infection; and characterized by that it has negative ion cartridge made of high absorbency material and chitosan which keeps the area it is applied sterile. In addition, the covering pad has the same performance in the desired form in line with the adhesive area around it and the area to be applied to keep it stable. Explanation Of Shapes

Detailed Description Of The Invention This invention is a covering pad (1) that keeps the area where the openings come into contact with chitosan (4.1) with negative ion content sterile for use in areas of surgery at risk of infection, to prevent germ growth and to heal wounds. Negative ion cartridge covering pad (1) generally consists of adhesive zone (2), sterile gas compress (3) and negative ion cartridge
(4). Chitosan(4.1), used as a negative ion, has no known harm in terms of both economic gain and environmental pollution and natural cycle used in various fields. It has antibacterial and antifungal effect in terms of its structure and does not harm human health and nature. Chitosan (4.1) is a long and linear polysaccharide found in the structure of living things such as algae, protozoa, insects, ringworms, molluscs, arthropods, roundworms, algae, bristles, knites and fungi. Chitosan is obtained only commercially from exoskeletons of marine crustaceans. Shells of living things, especially crabs and shrimp, are used as an easily accessible source of chitosan, as they are found as waste in the marine food industry.
Figure 1 shows the appearance of the interior of the covering pad. There is a sterile gas compress (3) sized according to the area of use; an adhesive zone (2) for adhesion to the body at the outer border, a negative ion cartridge (4) located preferably in the middle, and chitosan (4.1) in the cartridge (4). The location of the negative ion cartridge (4) may vary depending on the area of use, the Middle location has been selected for convenience in sampling.
A negative ion cartridge (4), a sterile gas compress (3) or similar is formed from high absorbency material. It is closed to hold the chitosan inside(4.1) stable and is fixed on the sterile gas compress(3). Negative ion cartridge(4) may be hollow in sterile gas compress (3) or protrusion on it, depending on the area of use. The mentioned sterile gas compress (3) has been used for convenience in sampling, sterile compresses with high absorbency, the known absorbing capacity of the technique will perform the same. The mentioned high-absorbency material can be materials such as cotton, gas compress, sponge, viscose with a known technique and allowing material exchange.
Figure 2 shows the interior cross-sectional appearance of the covering pad. A negative ion cartridge (4) located in the middle parts of a sterile gas compress (3) must be above the desired area to remain sterile. Chitosan (4.1) contained in the negative ion cartridge (4) is again fixed with a sterile gas compress (3) or similar material. The goal here is to exchange substances between the sterile area and the chitosan (4.1) in the negative ion cartridge (4). In this way, chitosan (4.1) prevents the reproduction of living things that will cause risk of infection, such as bacteria, microbes, fungi. In addition, the negative ion cartridge (4) and adhesive zone (2) can be an indentation on the sterile gas compress (3), as well as a protrusion, as in Figure 3.
In addition, this invention can also be used as a sanitary napkin for women during periods of menstruation, a breastfeeding pad form for breast cracks formed during women's breastfeeding periods, a band-aid of various sizes, except for the covering pad (1). All forms designed so that a negative ion cartridge (4) is placed on the area with an opening on the skin and is desired to remain sterile will ensure that the area remains sterile.
