Abstract
본 발명의 일 형태에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료는, 제1연속섬유층, 상기 제1연속섬유층의 일면에 적층된 장섬유층, 및 상기 장섬유층의 일면에 적층된 제2연속섬유층을 포함하고, 상기 제1연속섬유층의 타면에 적층된 제1열경화성수지와 상기 제2연속섬유층의 일면에 적층된 제2열경화성수지 중 적어도 하나를 더 포함할 수 있다.
Description
본 발명은 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 및 그 제조장치에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로, 자동차 부품들을 금속 재질로 제조하여 고강도 및 고강성을 확보한다.
그러나 금속으로 제조된 자동차 부품의 경우, 가공시 제조 비용이 많이 들고, 중량이 커짐에 따라 경량화를 확보하기 어렵다.
이에 따른 문제점을 극복하기 위해, 금속 대신 강화섬유와 수지 매트릭스로 이루어진 플라스틱 재질로 자동차 부품을 제조하여 경량화를 확보하고 있는 실정이다.
한편, 강화섬유와 수지 매트릭스로 이루어진 플라스틱은 섬유의 함량, 종류 등을 조절하여 경량화, 고강도 및 고강성을 나타내는데, 섬유의 함량이 적정 범위를 초과하는 경우 경량화를 나타내기 어렵고, 장섬유만을 포함하는 복합재는 성형성이 우수한 반면 고강도를 나타내기 어렵고, 연속섬유만을 포함하는 복합재는 강도 및 강성이 우수한 반면 장섬유를 포함하는 복합재에 비해 성형성이 취약한 문제점이 있다.
본 발명은 금속이 적용된 강성이 요구되는 구조용 부품에 적용 가능하고, 장섬유에 의한 유동성과 연속섬유에 의한 강성이 조합되며, 유동성을 확보하여 성형성이 향상됨과 동시에 우수한 강도 및 경도를 갖고, 연속섬유가 동시에 투입되어 제품의 위치에 따른 산포를 줄일 수 있는 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 및 그 제조장치를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료는, 제1장섬유층, 상기 제1장섬유층의 일면에 적층된 연속섬유층, 및 상기 연속섬유층의 일면에 적층된 제2장섬유층을 포함하고, 상기 제1장섬유층의 타면에 적층된 제1열경화성수지와 상기 제2장섬유층의 일면에 적층된 제2열경화성수지 중 적어도 하나를 더 포함할 수 있다.
상기 제1열경화성수지와 상기 제2열경화성수지는 각각 에폭시, 불포화 폴리에스터 및 비닐에스터 중 적어도 하나를 포함하여 이루어질 수 있다.
상기 제1장섬유층 및 상기 제2장섬유층은 각각 0.3~1mm의 두께를 가지고, 상기 연속섬유층은 0.3~0.7mm의 두께를 가질 수 있다.
상기 제1장섬유층, 상기 연속섬유층 및 상기 제2장섬유층은 각각 유리섬유 및 탄소섬유 중 적어도 하나를 포함하여 이루어질 수 있다.
상기 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료는 1000~4000gsm의 평량을 가지고, 상기 유리섬유 및 탄소섬유 중 적어도 하나는 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 중 25~70%의 중량비를 가질 수 있다.
본 발명의 다른 형태에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료는, 제1연속섬유층, 상기 제1연속섬유층의 일면에 적층된 장섬유층, 및 상기 장섬유층의 일면에 적층된 제2연속섬유층을 포함하고, 상기 제1연속섬유층의 타면에 적층된 제1열경화성수지와 상기 제2연속섬유층의 일면에 적층된 제2열경화성수지 중 적어도 하나를 더 포함할 수 있다.
상기 제1열경화성수지와 상기 제2열경화성수지는 각각 에폭시, 불포화 폴리에스터 및 비닐에스터 중 적어도 하나를 포함하여 이루어질 수 있다.

또한, 유동성을 확보하여 성형성이 향상됨과 동시에 우수한 강도 및 경도를 가질 수 있다.
그리고, 연속섬유가 동시에 투입되어 제품의 위치에 따른 산포를 줄일 수 있다.

이하, 본 발명의 제1 실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료에 대해 설명한다.
도 1은 본 발명의 제1실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료를 개략적으로 나타낸 구성도이다.
도 1을 참조하면, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료(1000)는 제1열경화성수지(1100), 제1장섬유층(1200), 연속섬유층(1300), 제2장섬유층(1400), 제2열경화성수지(1500)를 포함할 수 있다.
구체적으로, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료(1000)는 제1장섬유층(1200), 제1장섬유층의 일면에 적층된 연속섬유층(1300), 및 연속섬유층의 일면에 적층된 제2장섬유층(1400)을 포함하고, 제1장섬유층(1200)의 타면에 적층된 제1열경화성수지(1100)와 제2장섬유층(1400)의 일면에 적층된 제2열경화성수지(1500) 중 적어도 하나를 더 포함할 수 있다.
도 1에 도시된 방향을 기준으로, 제1장섬유층(1200)의 상면에 연속섬유층(1300)이 적층되고, 연속섬유층(1300)의 상면에 제2장섬유층(1400)이 적층될 수 있다. 즉, 제1장섬유층(1200)과 제2장섬유층(1400)의 사이에 연속섬유층(1300)이 배치될 수 있다.
장섬유(long fiber)는, 예를 들어 폴리에스터의 원료인 고순도 테레프탈산(PTA)과 에틸렌글리콜(EG)에 열과 압력을 가하면서 중합반응을 일으키면 겔(Gel) 형태의 폴리머(Polymer)가 되고, 이것을 실을 뽑아내는 방사 과정과 다양한 물성을 부여하는 연신 과정을 거친 후 실의 형태로 만든 것이다. 장섬유는 1~2inch의 길이로 자른 것을 사용할 수 있다. 장섬유는 단섬유(short fiber)에 비해 더 길게 자른 것을 말한다.
연속섬유(continuous fiber)는 위에서 방사 및 연신 과정을 거쳐 실의 형태로 만든 것을 그대로 사용하거나 직조한 직물을 사용할 수 있다.
한편, 제1장섬유층(1200), 연속섬유층(1300), 제2장섬유층(1400)이 순서대로 적층된 섬유층 시트의 하면에 제1열경화성수지(1100)가 배치되거나, 섬유층 시트의 상면에 제2열경화성수지(1500)가 배치되거나, 섬유층 시트의 하면에 제1열경화성수지(1100)가 배치됨과 동시에 섬유층 시트의 상면에 제2열경화성수지(1500)가 배치될 수 있다.
제1장섬유층(1200)은 제1열경화성수지(1100)가 경화되기 전에 액상의 제1열경화성수지(1100) 속에 함침될 수 있고, 제2장섬유층(1400)도 제2열경화성수지(1500)가 경화되기 전에 액상의 제2열경화성수지(1500) 속에 함침될 수 있다. 연속섬유층(1300)도 적어도 일부가 열압착에 의해 액상의 열경화성수지(1100, 1500)에 함침될 수 있다.
제1열경화성수지(1100)와 제2열경화성수지(1500)는 각각 에폭시(Epoxy), 불포화 폴리에스터(Unsaturated Poly Ester) 및 비닐에스터(Vinyl Ester) 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다. 열경화성수지는 경화되기 전의 액상으로 공급되고 장섬유와 연속섬유와 함께 열압착함으로써 장섬유와 연속섬유 속으로 열경화성수지가 침투될 수 있다. 그래서, 열경화성수지와 한 쌍의 장섬유와 연속섬유가 일체화된 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료로서 SMC(Sheet Molding Compound)가 될 수 있다.
제1장섬유층(1200)과 제2장섬유층(1400)은 각각 0.3~1mm의 두께를 가지고, 연속섬유층(1300)은 0.3~0.7mm의 두께를 가질 수 있다.
제1장섬유층(1200)과 제2장섬유층(1400)의 두께는 열경화성수지가 함침된 장섬유 복합재층의 두께를 의미하는 것으로서, 0.3mm 이상일 수 있다. 장섬유층의 최대 두께는 1mm일 수 있으나, 섬유강화 복합재료로 만드려는 부품의 두께에 따라 1mm보다 더 큰 두께를 가질 수도 있다.
연속섬유층(1300)의 두께도 열경화성수지가 함침된 연속섬유 복합재층의 두께를 의미하는 것으로서, 0.3~0.7mm일 수 있다. 연속섬유층(1300)은 직물을 사용하는 것이 바람직하므로, 그 두께의 최대값은 장섬유층 두께의 최대값보다 작을 수 있다.
제1장섬유층(1200)과 연속섬유층(1300)과 제2장섬유층(1400)은 각각 유리섬유 및 탄소섬유 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
유리섬유(glass fiber)는 백금도가니에서 녹인 유리를 도가니에 뚫린 작은 구멍으로 고속도로 뽑아 내면 유리섬유가 만들어진다. 이렇게 해서 만들어진 굵기 200분의 1정도의 가는 섬유는 판유리나 유리그릇에 비해 열이나 약품에 훨씬 강하며 탄력성이 높다. 또한, 유리섬유가 가진 내열성, 내약품성, 내탄성(耐彈性) 등을 이용하여 여러 가지 방면으로 사용이고 있다. 유리섬유를 플라스틱과 혼합한 것이 유리섬유 강화 플라스틱이다.
탄소섬유(carbon fiber)는 탄소가 주성분인 0.005~0.010mm 굵기의 매우 가는 섬유이다. 탄소섬유를 구성하는 탄소 원자들은 섬유의 길이 방향을 따라 육각 고리 결정의 형태로 붙어 있으며, 이러한 분자 배열 구조로 인해 강한 물리적 속성을 띠게 된다. 한 가닥의 실은 수천 가닥의 탄소섬유가 꼬여져 만들어진다. 탄소섬유는 다양한 패턴으로 직조될 수 있으며, 플라스틱 등과 함께 사용되어 탄소섬유 강화 플라스틱(Carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer)과 같이 가볍고도 강한 복합재료를 만들어낼 수 있다. 탄소섬유의 밀도는 철보다 훨씬 낮기 때문에, 경량화가 필수적인 조건일 때 사용하기에 적합하다. 탄소섬유는 높은 인장 강도, 가벼운 무게, 낮은 열팽창율 등의 특성으로 인해 항공우주산업, 토목건축, 군사, 자동차 및 각종 스포츠 분야의 소재로 매우 널리 사용될 수 있다.
하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료(1000)는 1000~4000gsm의 평량을 가지고, 유리섬유 및 탄소섬유 중 적어도 하나는 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 중 25~70%의 중량비를 가질 수 있다.
이때, 평량의 단위는 gsm(grams per square meter)으로서, 가로 1m, 세로 1m 시트의 무게(g)를 말한다. 섬유와 열경화성수지로 이루어진 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료(1000)의 평량은 그 성분 함량과 두께에 따라 1000~4000gsm일 수 있다.
하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료(1000) 중 제1장섬유층(1200), 연속섬유층(1300), 제2장섬유층(1400)이 차지하는 무게는 전체의 25~70%일 수 있다. 예를 들면, 제1장섬유층(1200), 연속섬유층(1300), 제2장섬유층(1400)이 60wt%의 탄소섬유로 구성되고, 제1열경화성수지(1100), 제2열경화성수지(1500)가 40wt%의 불포화 폴리에스터로 구성될 수 있다.
본 발명의 제1실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 복합재료(1000)는 우수한 강도 및 강성을 확보하고 원하는 기계적 물성을 확보할 수 있으며, SMC를 이용하여 2차 성형하여 특정한 형태의 부품을 제작할 수 있다.
이하, 본 발명의 제2 실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료에 대해 설명한다.
도 2는 본 발명의 제2실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료를 개략적으로 나타낸 구성도이다.
도 2를 참조하면, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료(2000)는 제1열경화성수지(2100), 제1연속섬유층(2200), 장섬유층(2300), 제2연속섬유층(2400), 제2열경화성수지(2500)를 포함할 수 있다.
구체적으로, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료(2000)는 제1연속섬유층(2200), 제1장섬유층의 일면에 적층된 장섬유층(2300), 및 연속섬유층의 일면에 적층된 제2연속섬유층(2400)을 포함하고, 제1연속섬유층(2200)의 타면에 적층된 제1열경화성수지(2100)와 제2연속섬유층(2400)의 일면에 적층된 제2열경화성수지(2500) 중 적어도 하나를 더 포함할 수 있다.

다음으로, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 SMC의 굴곡강도와 굴곡강성을 장섬유 SMC 및 연속섬유 SMC와 비교하여 설명한다.
표 1에서 비교예1의 장섬유 SMC는 연속섬유 없이 장섬유만을 함침시켜 제조한 SMC로서, 탄소섬유 50wt%와 열경화성수지를 사용하여 만든 것이다.
비교예2의 연속섬유 SMC는 장섬유 없이 연속섬유의 직물만을 함침시켜 제조한 SMC로서, 탄소섬유 70wt%와 열경화성수지를 사용하여 만든 것이다.
실시예1의 하이브리드 SMC는 탄소섬유 60wt%로 구성된 제1장섬유층, 연속섬유층, 제2장섬유층과 열경화성수지를 사용하여 만든 것이다.
실시예2의 하이브리드 SMC는 탄소섬유 60wt%로 구성된 제1연속섬유층, 장섬유층, 제2연속섬유층과 열경화성수지를 사용하여 만든 것이다.

굴곡강도는 0.5m×0.5m 크기의 시트를 압축성형하여 1m×1m 크기의 시트로 만들 때, 0.5m×0.5m 크기 내부에 있는 시트 부위(On Strand)의 굴곡강도와, 0.5m×0.5m 크기 외부에 있는 시트 부위(Out of Strand)의 굴곡강도를 나타낸다. Non Flow는 수지 내에서 섬유의 유동이 거의 없는 것을 의미하고, Flow는 섬유가 수지 내에서 유동함을 의미한다.비교예1의 장섬유 SMC의 경우, 굴곡강도는 240MPa, 250MPa이고, 굴곡강성은 16GPa로 측정되었다.
비교예2의 연속섬유 SMC의 경우, 굴곡강도는 700MPa, 690MPa이고, 굴곡강성은 60GPa로 측정되었다.
굴곡강도는 연속섬유의 직물을 포함하는 비교예2가 비교예1보다 훨씬 크게 나타났다. Strand 내측 및 외측의 굴곡강도 차이는 비교예1,2에서 둘 다 10MPa로 동일하지만, 절대값이 작은 비교예1에서 상대적으로 큰 차이가 있다고 평가할 수 있다. 굴곡강성도 16GPa인 비교예1보다 60GPa인 비교예2가 훨씬 우수하였다.
따라서, 비교예2의 연속섬유 SMC가 비교예1의 장섬유 SMC보다 강도와 강성 면에서 더 우수함을 알 수 있다.
실시예1의 하이브리드 SMC의 경우, 굴곡강도는 480MPa, 485MPa이고, 굴곡강성은 35GPa로 측정되었다.
실시예1의 하이브리드 SMC의 경우, 굴곡강도는 560MPa, 555MPa이고, 굴곡강성은 40GPa로 측정되었다.
실시예1과 실시예2는 둘 다 Strand 내측 및 외측의 굴곡강도 차이가 5MPa로서, 비교예들보다 작아서 바람직하다. 실시예2의 경우 굴곡강도와 굴곡강성 모두 실시예1보다 우수한 값을 나타내었다. 이는 양측에 한 쌍의 연속섬유층이 배치되는 제2실시예의 SMC가 연속섬유층이 하나만 있는 제1실시예의 SMC보다 우수한 강도 및 강성을 가질 수 있기 때문이다.
실시예2의 하이브리드 SMC의 강도 및 강성은 비교예2의 연속섬유 SMC보다 작은 값을 나타내었지만, 실시예2의 경우 탄소섬유가 70wt%로서 실시예2의 60wt%보다 더 많이 포함되고, 연속섬유의 직물로만 보강재를 구성할 경우 그만큼 재료비가 더 많이 들고 성형성이 나빠질 수 있다.
결국, 제2실시예의 하이브리드 SMC가 강도, 강성, 비용 및 성형성 등의 면에서 가장 바람직하다.
이하에서는, 도 3을 참조하여 본 발명의 제1 실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조방법에 대해서 설명한다.
도 3은 도 1에 나타낸 본 발명의 제1실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조방법을 개략적으로 나타낸 순서도이다.
도 3을 참조하면, 하이브리드형 복합재료 제조방법(S1000)은 제1열경화성수지 공급단계(S1100), 제1장섬유 공급단계(S1200), 연속섬유 공급단계(S1300), 제2장섬유 공급단계(S1400) 및 제2열경화성수지 공급단계(S1500)를 포함한다.
구체적으로, 제1열경화성수지 공급단계(S1100)는 복합재료인 SMC(Sheet Molding Compound)를 제조하기 위해 최하층을 이루는 열경화성수지를 공급하는 단계이다. 또한, 열경화성수지는 에폭시, 불포화 폴리에스터, 비닐에스터 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
제1장섬유 공급단계(S1200)는 열경화성수지의 상부에 제1장섬유를 공급하는 단계이다. 또한, 제1장섬유 공급단계(S1200)는 연속되는 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙(roving)을 커팅하여 공급할 수 있다.
연속섬유 공급단계(S1300)는 제1장섬유의 상부로 연속섬유를 공급하는 단계이다. 연속섬유는 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 직물로 이루어질 수 있다.
다음으로, 제2장섬유 공급단계(S1400)는 연속섬유의 상부에 제2장섬유를 공급하는 단계이다. 또한, 제2장섬유 공급단계(S1400)는 연속되는 탄소섬유 로빙을 커팅하여 공급할 수 있다.
제2열경화성수지 공급단계(S1500)는 제2장섬유의 상부에 열결화성수지를 공급하는 단계이다. 또한, 열경화성수지는 에폭시, 불포화 폴리에스터, 비닐에스터 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
이하에서는, 도 4를 참조하여 본 발명의 제1실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치에 대해서 설명한다.
도 4는 본 발명의 제1실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치를 개략적으로 나타낸 구성도이다.
도 4를 참조하면, 하이브리드형 복합재료 제조장치(100)는 제1열경화성수지 공급유닛(110), 제1장섬유 공급유닛(120), 연속섬유 공급유닛(130), 제2장섬유 공급유닛(140), 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛(150), 이송벨트 유닛(160) 및 권취롤 유닛(170)을 포함한다.
제1열경화성수지 공급유닛(110)은 제1열경화성수지를 제공하는 것으로 이송벨트 유닛(160)를 향해 제1열경화성수지가 토출되도록 위치된다.
제1장섬유 공급유닛(120)은 제1열경화성수지에 제1장섬유를 공급한다. 제1장섬유 공급유닛(120)은 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 장섬유 형태로 커팅하여 이동되는 제1열경화성수지의 상면에 분산되도록 공급할 수 있다.
제1장섬유 공급유닛(120)은 제1열경화성수지의 상부에 제1장섬유를 제공하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 이송벨트 유닛(160)의 벨트 이송방향에 대하여, 제1장섬유 공급유닛(120)은 제1열경화성수지 공급유닛(110) 다음에 배치될 수 있다.
제1장섬유 공급유닛(120)은 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 지지하는 지지롤(121)과, 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 커팅하는 커팅롤(122)을 포함할 수 있다. 커팅롤(122)은 지지롤(121)과의 사이에 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 안내하는 제1커팅롤과, 원주면에 복수의 커팅날이 형성되어 제1커팅롤과의 사이로 커팅된 장섬유를 공급하는 제2커팅롤을 포함할 수 있다.
연속섬유 공급유닛(130)은 이송벨트 유닛(160)을 통해 이송되는 제1장섬유의 상부에 연속섬유를 공급하기 위한 것이고, 연속섬유 공급을 위한 한 쌍의 공급롤(131)을 포함할 수 있다.
이송벨트 유닛(160)의 벨트 이송방향에 대하여, 연속섬유 공급유닛(130)은 제1장섬유 공급유닛(120) 다음에 배치될 수 있다.
제2장섬유 공급유닛(140)은 이송벨트 유닛(160)을 통해 이송되는 연속섬유의 상부에 제2장섬유를 공급한다.
제2장섬유 공급유닛(140)도 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 지지하는 지지롤(141)과, 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 커팅하는 커팅롤(142)을 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 이송벨트 유닛(160)의 벨트 이송방향에 대하여, 제2장섬유 공급유닛(140)은 연속섬유 공급유닛(130)의 다음에 배치될 수 있다.
제2열경화성수지 공급유닛(150)은 제2장섬유에 제2열경화성수지를 공급하기 위한 것이다. 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛(150)은 제2열경화성수지를 안정적으로 공급하기 위해 지지롤(151)을 포함할 수 있다. 지지롤(151)은 이송벨트 유닛(160)의 벨트(162)에 대향되도록 배치될 수 있다. 지지롤(151)은 제2열경화성수지의 이송 방향을 바꿀 수 있도록 복수개가 배치될 수 있다.
또한, 이송벨트 유닛의 벨트 이송방향에 대하여, 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛(150)은 제2장섬유 공급유닛(140) 다음에 배치될 수 있다.
이송벨트 유닛(160)은 이송롤(161)과 벨트(162)를 포함할 수 있다.
벨트(162)는 이송롤(161)에 연결되어 순환되고, 벨트(162)는 제1열경화성수지, 제1장섬유, 연속섬유, 제2장섬유, 제2열경화성수지가 순차적으로 적층되도록 이동시킨다.
즉, 이송롤(161)은 벨트(162)에 구동력을 제공한다.
또한, 벨트(162)는 순차적으로 적층된 제1열경화성수지, 제1장섬유, 연속섬유, 제2장섬유, 제2열경화성수지를 권취롤 유닛(170)으로 이송한다.
또한, 이송벨트 유닛(160)은 복수의 가압지지롤(163)을 더 포함하여 이루어질 수 있다. 복수의 가압지지롤(163)은 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛(150)에 의해 제공되는 제2열경화성수지를 가압하여 하이브리드 섬유강화 복합재료를 더욱 효과적으로 형성하기 위한 것이다.
이를 위해, 이송벨트 유닛(160)의 벨트 이송방향에 대하여, 가압지지롤(163)은 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛(150)의 다음에 배치되고, 벨트(162)에 대향하도록 배치될 수 있다.
권취롤 유닛(170)은 이송벨트 유닛(160)에 의해 유동되는 하이브리드형 복합재료를 권취하기 위한 것이다.
이를 위해 권취롤 유닛(170)은 이송벨트 유닛(160)의 벨트(162)의 이송방향에 대하여, 이송벨트 유닛(160)에서 연장되도록 배치될 수 있다.
이에 따라, 이송벨트 유닛(160)의 벨트(162)에 순차적으로 적층된 하이브리드 섬유강화 복합재료는 권취롤 유닛(170)에 권취될 수 있다.
또한, 권취롤 유닛(170)에 권취되는 하이브리드 섬유강화 복합재료는 반경화된 상태로 저온보관될 수 있다.
본 발명의 제1실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치에 의하면, 제1장섬유, 연속섬유, 제2장섬유가 순서대로 적층된 시트의 상면 및 하면에 열경화성수지를 함침시켜 순차적으로 일체화된 SMC를 쉽게 제조할 수 있다.
이하에서는, 도 5를 참조하여 본 발명의 제2 실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조방법에 대해서 설명한다.
도 5는 도 2에 나타낸 본 발명의 제2실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조방법을 개략적으로 나타낸 순서도이다.
도 5를 참조하면, 하이브리드형 복합재료 제조방법(S2000)은 제1열경화성수지 공급단계(S2100), 제1연속섬유 공급단계(S2200), 장섬유 공급단계(S2300), 제2연속섬유 공급단계(S2400) 및 제2열경화성수지 공급단계(S2500)를 포함한다.
구체적으로, 제1열경화성수지 공급단계(S2100)는 복합재료인 SMC(Sheet Molding Compound)를 제조하기 위해 최하층을 이루는 열경화성수지를 공급하는 단계이다. 또한, 열경화성수지는 에폭시, 불포화 폴리에스터, 비닐에스터 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
제1연속섬유 공급단계(S2200)는 열경화성수지의 상부에 연속섬유를 공급하는 단계이다. 연속섬유는 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 직물로 이루어질 수 있다.
장섬유 공급단계(S2300)는 제1연속섬유의 상부로 장섬유를 공급하는 단계이다. 또한, 장섬유 공급단계(S2300)는 연속되는 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙(roving)을 커팅하여 공급할 수 있다.
다음으로, 제2연속섬유 공급단계(S2400)는 장섬유의 상부에 연속섬유를 공급하는 단계이다. 연속섬유는 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 직물로 이루어질 수 있다.
제2열경화성수지 공급단계(S2500)는 제2연속섬유의 상부에 열결화성수지를 공급하는 단계이다. 또한, 열경화성수지는 에폭시, 불포화 폴리에스터, 비닐에스터 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
이하에서는, 도 6을 참조하여 본 발명의 제2실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치에 대해서 설명한다.
도 6은 본 발명의 제2실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치를 개략적으로 나타낸 구성도이다.
도 6을 참조하면, 하이브리드형 복합재료 제조장치(100)는 제1열경화성수지 공급유닛(210), 제1연속섬유 공급유닛(220), 장섬유 공급유닛(230), 제2연속섬유 공급유닛(240), 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛(250), 이송벨트 유닛(260) 및 권취롤 유닛(270)을 포함한다.
제1열경화성수지 공급유닛(210)은 제1열경화성수지를 제공하는 것으로 이송벨트 유닛(260)를 향해 제1열경화성수지가 토출되도록 위치된다.
제1연속섬유 공급유닛(220)은 제1열경화성수지에 제1연속섬유를 공급하기 위한 것이고, 연속섬유 공급을 위한 한 쌍의 공급롤(221)을 포함할 수 있다.
이송벨트 유닛(260)의 벨트 이송방향에 대하여, 제1연속섬유 공급유닛(220)은 제1열경화성수지 공급유닛(210) 다음에 배치될 수 있다.
장섬유 공급유닛(230)은 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 장섬유 형태로 커팅하여 이동되는 제1열경화성수지의 상면에 분산되도록 공급할 수 있다.
장섬유 공급유닛(230)은 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 지지하는 지지롤(231)과, 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 커팅하는 커팅롤(232)을 포함할 수 있다. 커팅롤(232)은 지지롤(231)과의 사이에 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 안내하는 제1커팅롤과, 원주면에 복수의 커팅날이 형성되어 제1커팅롤과의 사이로 커팅된 장섬유를 공급하는 제2커팅롤을 포함할 수 있다.
이송벨트 유닛(260)의 벨트 이송방향에 대하여, 장섬유 공급유닛(230)은 제1연속섬유 공급유닛(220) 다음에 배치될 수 있다.
제2연속섬유 공급유닛(240)은 이송벨트 유닛(260)을 통해 이송되는 장섬유의 상부에 제2연속섬유를 공급하기 위한 것이고, 연속섬유 공급을 위한 한 쌍의 공급롤(241)을 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 이송벨트 유닛(260)의 벨트 이송방향에 대하여, 제2연속섬유 공급유닛(240)은 장섬유 공급유닛(230)의 다음에 배치될 수 있다.
제2열경화성수지 공급유닛(250)은 제2연속섬유에 제2열경화성수지를 공급하기 위한 것이다. 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛(250)은 제2열경화성수지를 안정적으로 공급하기 위해 지지롤(251)을 포함할 수 있다. 지지롤(251)은 이송벨트 유닛(260)의 벨트(262)에 대향되도록 배치될 수 있다. 지지롤(251)은 제2열경화성수지의 이송 방향을 바꿀 수 있도록 복수개가 배치될 수 있다.
또한, 이송벨트 유닛의 벨트 이송방향에 대하여, 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛(250)은 제2연속섬유 공급유닛(240) 다음에 배치될 수 있다.
이송벨트 유닛(260)은 이송롤(261)과 벨트(262)를 포함할 수 있다.
벨트(262)는 이송롤(261)에 연결되어 순환되고, 벨트(262)는 제1열경화성수지, 제1연속섬유, 장섬유, 제2연속섬유, 제2열경화성수지가 순차적으로 적층되도록 이동시킨다.
즉, 이송롤(261)은 벨트(262)에 구동력을 제공한다.
또한, 벨트(262)는 순차적으로 적층된 제1열경화성수지, 제1연속섬유, 장섬유, 제2연속섬유, 제2열경화성수지를 권취롤 유닛(270)으로 이송한다.
또한, 이송벨트 유닛(260)은 복수의 가압지지롤(263)을 더 포함하여 이루어질 수 있다. 복수의 가압지지롤(263)은 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛(250)에 의해 제공되는 제2열경화성수지를 가압하여 하이브리드 섬유강화 복합재료를 더욱 효과적으로 형성하기 위한 것이다.
이를 위해, 이송벨트 유닛(260)의 벨트 이송방향에 대하여, 가압지지롤(263)은 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛(250)의 다음에 배치되고, 벨트(262)에 대향하도록 배치될 수 있다.
권취롤 유닛(270)은 이송벨트 유닛(260)에 의해 유동되는 하이브리드형 복합재료를 권취하기 위한 것이다.
이를 위해 권취롤 유닛(270)은 이송벨트 유닛(260)의 벨트(262)의 이송방향에 대하여, 이송벨트 유닛(260)에서 연장되도록 배치될 수 있다.
이에 따라, 이송벨트 유닛(260)의 벨트(262)에 순차적으로 적층된 하이브리드 섬유강화 복합재료는 권취롤 유닛(270)에 권취될 수 있다.
또한, 권취롤 유닛(270)에 권취되는 하이브리드 섬유강화 복합재료는 반경화된 상태로 저온보관될 수 있다.
본 발명의 제2실시예에 따른 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치에 의하면, 제1연속섬유, 장섬유, 제2연속섬유가 순서대로 적층된 시트의 상면 및 하면에 열경화성수지를 함침시켜 순차적으로 일체화된 SMC를 쉽게 제조할 수 있다.
이상, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 대하여 설명하였으나, 해당 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자라면 청구범위에 기재된 본 발명의 사상으로부터 벗어나지 않는 범위 내에서, 구성 요소의 부가, 변경, 삭제 또는 추가 등에 의해 본 발명을 다양하게 수정 및 변경할 수 있을 것이며, 이 또한 본 발명의 권리범위 내에 포함된다고 할 것이다.
Claims (18)
- 제1장섬유층, 상기 제1장섬유층의 일면에 적층된 연속섬유층, 및 상기 연속섬유층의 일면에 적층된 제2장섬유층을 포함하고,상기 제1장섬유층의 타면에 적층된 제1열경화성수지와 상기 제2장섬유층의 일면에 적층된 제2열경화성수지 중 적어도 하나를 더 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1열경화성수지와 상기 제2열경화성수지는 각각 에폭시, 불포화 폴리에스터 및 비닐에스터 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1장섬유층 및 상기 제2장섬유층은 각각 0.3~1mm의 두께를 가지고,상기 연속섬유층은 0.3~0.7mm의 두께를 가지는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1장섬유층, 상기 연속섬유층 및 상기 제2장섬유층은 각각 유리섬유 및 탄소섬유 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료는 1000~4000gsm의 평량을 가지고,상기 유리섬유 및 탄소섬유 중 적어도 하나는 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 중 25~70%의 중량비를 가지는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료.
- 제1연속섬유층, 상기 제1연속섬유층의 일면에 적층된 장섬유층, 및 상기 장섬유층의 일면에 적층된 제2연속섬유층을 포함하고,상기 제1연속섬유층의 타면에 적층된 제1열경화성수지와 상기 제2연속섬유층의 일면에 적층된 제2열경화성수지 중 적어도 하나를 더 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 제1열경화성수지와 상기 제2열경화성수지는 각각 에폭시, 불포화 폴리에스터 및 비닐에스터 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 장섬유층은 0.3~1mm의 두께를 가지고,상기 제1연속섬유층 및 상기 제2연속섬유층은 각각 0.3~0.7mm의 두께를 가지는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 제1장섬유층 및 상기 제2장섬유층은 각각 유리섬유 및 탄소섬유 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료는 1000~4000gsm의 평량을 가지고,상기 유리섬유 및 탄소섬유 중 적어도 하나는 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 중 25~70%의 중량비를 가지는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료.
- 제1열경화성수지를 토출하는 제1열경화성수지 공급유닛;상기 제1열경화성수지의 상부에 제1장섬유를 공급하는 제1장섬유 공급유닛;상기 제1장섬유의 상부에 연속섬유를 공급하는 공급롤을 포함하는 연속섬유 공급유닛;상기 연속섬유의 상부에 제2장섬유를 공급하는 제2장섬유 공급유닛;상기 제2장섬유의 상부에 제2열경화성수지를 공급하는 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛;상기 제1열경화성수지, 상기 제1장섬유, 상기 연속섬유, 상기 제2장섬유, 상기 제2열경화성수지가 순차적으로 적층되도록 이동시키는 이송벨트 유닛; 및상기 이송벨트 유닛으로부터 순차적으로 적층된 상기 제1열경화성수지, 상기 제1장섬유, 상기 연속섬유, 상기 제2장섬유, 상기 제2열경화성수지로 이루어진 복합재료를 전달받아 권취하는 권취롤 유닛을 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 제1장섬유 공급유닛과 상기 제2장섬유 공급유닛은 각각 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 지지하는 지지롤과, 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 커팅하는 커팅롤을 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 이송벨트 유닛은 상기 제1열경화성수지, 상기 제1장섬유, 상기 연속섬유, 상기 제2장섬유, 상기 제2열경화성수지가 순차적으로 적층되도록 이동시키는 벨트와, 상기 벨트에 구동력을 제공하는 이송롤을 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 이송벨트 유닛은 상기 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛에 의해 공급되어 적층된 상기 제2열경화성수지를 가압하는 가압지지롤을 더 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치.
- 제1열경화성수지를 토출하는 제1열경화성수지 공급유닛;상기 제1열경화성수지의 상부에 제1연속섬유를 공급하는 공급롤을 포함하는 제1연속섬유 공급유닛;상기 제1연속섬유의 상부에 장섬유를 공급하는 장섬유 공급유닛;상기 장섬유의 상부에 제2연속섬유를 공급하는 공급롤을 포함하는 제2연속섬유 공급유닛;상기 제2연속섬유의 상부에 제2열경화성수지를 공급하는 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛;상기 제1열경화성수지, 상기 제1연속섬유, 상기 장섬유, 상기 제2연속섬유, 상기 제2열경화성수지가 순차적으로 적층되도록 이동시키는 이송벨트 유닛; 및상기 이송벨트 유닛으로부터 순차적으로 적층된 상기 제1열경화성수지, 상기 제1연속섬유, 상기 장섬유, 상기 제2연속섬유, 상기 제2열경화성수지로 이루어진 복합재료를 전달받아 권취하는 권취롤 유닛을 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 장섬유 공급유닛은 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 지지하는 지지롤과, 유리섬유 또는 탄소섬유 로빙을 커팅하는 커팅롤을 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 이송벨트 유닛은 상기 제1열경화성수지, 상기 제1연속섬유, 상기 장섬유, 상기 제2연속섬유, 상기 제2열경화성수지가 순차적으로 적층되도록 이동시키는 벨트와, 상기 벨트에 구동력을 제공하는 이송롤을 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치.
- 제17항에 있어서,상기 이송벨트 유닛은 상기 제2열경화성수지 공급유닛에 의해 공급되어 적층된 상기 제2열경화성수지를 가압하는 가압지지롤을 더 포함하는, 하이브리드형 섬유강화 복합재료 제조장치.
