Abstract

The invention relates to the sieve frame wedge with improved sealing feature used for guiding the product between superposed sieve frames within the passages in square sieves used for sieving and sorting at the grain milling facilities. The isolation profile (5) located on the developed sieve frame wedge is movable on the frame compression axis by means of its link with the compression spring (7). In this manner, the efficiency of the sealing element to be installed on the profile (5) shall be improved during use.

Description

SIEVE FRAME WEDGE WITH IMPROVED SEALING
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention relates to the sieve frame wedge with improved sealing feature used for guiding the product between superposed sieve frames within the passages in square sieves used for sieving and sorting at the grain milling facilities.
PRIOR ART
Square sieves are employed at the modern grain mill plants for sorting of the products coming from the milling process. The sieving process at the square sieves are carried out from top towards bottom. The sieving operation at the square sieves that might feature distinct number of sieving passages depending on the distinct preferences selected at the mill diagram is carried out by means of sieve frames arranged as superposed within each passage. The layout of the sieve frames is arranged such that it allows discharging desired groups of product from distinct points underneath the square sieve.
It is intended to guide the products sorted at the square sieves between certain sieve frames within the sieve passage. Such guidance, on the other hand, is performed by means of the sieve frame wedges that are positioned as stationary at the edge portion of the certain sieve frames. The powdered product sealing between the sieve frame wedges of the prior art currently used for guidance and the sieve frame is ensured by means of sealing elements such as bristle flutes, rubber seals, wooden profiles, etc. installed at the edges of the wedge. However, the sieve frame wedge sealing elements of the prior art become subjected to deformations in time during use thereof, thus allowing the powdered product to pass between the sieve frame and the wedge. This, in turn, leads to transfer of the product fed to the square sieve for guidance to the undesired sections within the square sieve or to accumulate at the bottom portion of the square sieve. This situation leads to reduction at the efficiency of the square sieve and complicates the maintenance and repair operations.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to the invention has been developed for the purpose of ensuring the desired sealing between the sieve frame wedges used for guiding the product between the sieve frames at the square sieves used particularly at the grain milling plants and the sieve frames.
At the developed sieve frame wedge, a spring-loaded mobile isolation profile (5) is inserted within the profile housing (1.1 ) formed on the triangular wedge body (1 ). The sealing between the sieve frame and the wedge body (1 ), on the other hand, is established by means of the sealing element positioned on the developed isolation profile (5).

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to the invention used for guiding the products between the sieve frames at the square sieves installed at the grain milling plants comprises of the triangular wedge body (1 ) that comprises the profile housing (1.1 ) and the fish plate housing (1.2) thereon, the wedge upper sheet (2), the wedge lower sheet (3), the wedge connection fish plate (4), the isolation profile (5) that comprises the setting hole (5.1 ) thereon, the compression adjustment screw (6) and the compression spring (7) parts and sections.
The triangular wedge body (1 ) embodied at the sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to the invention can be manufactured from wooden, metallic or synthetic materials such that it comprises the profile housing (1.1 ) wherein the isolation profile (5) is inserted therein, and the fish plate housing (1.2) wherein the wedge connection fish plate (4) is inserted therein. The wedge upper sheet (2) manufactured from any material suitable for contacting the food is arranged at the upper portion of the triangular wedge body (1 ) while the wedge lower sheet (3) again manufactured from any material suitable for contacting the food is arranged at the lower portion thereof.
The contact between the triangular wedge body (1 ) and the square sieve passage wall at the sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to the invention is established by means of the wedge connection fish plate (4). The contact between the wedge connection fish plate (4) inserted within the fish plate housing (1.2) of the triangular wedge body (1 ) and the wedge body (1 ) is established by means of the wedge connecting screw (4.1 ). After fastening the wedge connection fish plate (4) on the wedge body (1 ), the wedge body (1 ) is then fastened to the square sieve passage wall over the wedge connection fish plate (4) via the passage connecting screw (4.2). The isolation profile (5) embodied at the sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to the invention is inserted within the profile housing (1.1 ) located on the triangular wedge body (1 ). The isolation profile (5) inserted within the profile housing (1.1 ) located on the triangular wedge body (1 ) can be manufactured from wooden, metallic or synthetic materials. The isolation profile (5) so embodied presents a spring-loaded mobile structure thanks to the compression adjustment screw (6) and the compression spring (7) inserted in the setting hole (5.1 ) arranged thereon. The motion of the developed isolation profile (5) occurs in horizontal direction towards the edge of the sieve frame from the profile housing (1.1 ) located on the triangular wedge body (1 ). The external surface of the isolation profile (5) is in contact with the sieve frame. The predetermined sealing element is linked to the external surface of the isolation profile (5) in contact with the sieve frame. The deformation of the sealing element is minimized as the pressure exerted by the sieve frame on the sealing element is compensated by the spring-loaded isolation profile (5) compressed by the spring when installing and removing the sieve frame to/from the square sieve. In this manner, the available service life of the sealing element is prolonged and the unwanted product movement between the sieve frame and the wedge is avoided for prolonged operating period. In this manner, not only the efficiency of the square sieve is improved, but also the maintenance and repair costs are reduced.

Claims

1. A sieve frame wedge with improved sealing used for guiding the products between the sieve frames at the square sieves installed at the grain milling plants, characterized in that it comprises of the triangular wedge body (1 ) that comprises the profile housing (1.1 ) and the fish plate housing (1.2) thereon, the wedge upper sheet (2), the wedge lower sheet (3), the wedge connection fish plate (4), the isolation profile (5) that comprises the setting hole (5.1 ) thereon, the compression adjustment screw (6) and the compression spring (7) parts and sections.

A sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to claim 1 , characterized in that; said triangular wedge body (1 ) can be manufactured from wooden, metallic or synthetic materials such that it comprises the profile housing (1.1 ) wherein the isolation profile (5) is inserted therein, and the fish plate housing (1.2) wherein the wedge connection fish plate (4) is inserted therein.

A sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to claim 1 , characterized in that; the wedge upper sheet (2) manufactured from any material suitable for contacting the food is arranged at the upper portion of said triangular wedge body (1 ) and the wedge lower sheet (3) again manufactured from any material suitable for contacting the food is arranged at the lower portion thereof.
4. A sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to claim 1 , characterized in that; said triangular wedge body (1 ) is the part fastened to the square sieve passage wall over the wedge connection fish plate (4) via the passage connecting screw (4.2).
5. A sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to claim 1 , characterized in that; said isolation profile (5) is the part inserted into the profile housing (1.1 ) located on the triangular wedge body (1 ).
6. A sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to claim 1 , characterized in that; said isolation profile (5) is the part manufactured from wooden, metallic or synthetic materials.
7. A sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to claim 1 , characterized in that; said isolation profile (5) is the part capable of moving in horizontal direction towards the edge of the sieve frame from the profile housing (1.1 ) located on the triangular wedge body (1 ) with spring compression by virtue of the compression adjustment screw (6) and the compression spring (7) inserted within the setting hole (5.1 ) arranged thereon.
8. A sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to claim 1 , characterized in that; said isolation profile (5) is the part linked with the predetermined sealing element on the external surface in contact with the sieve frame.
9. A sieve frame wedge with improved sealing according to claim 1 , characterized in that; said isolation profile (5) is the part that compensates, by means of the motion thereof due to the spring compression, the compressive force exerted on the sealing element by the sieve frame when the sieve frame is installed in the square sieve and removed from the sieve.
