Abstract

本発明は、前面板側を内側にして屈曲した場合であっても、気泡の発生が抑制され、粘着力にも優れた積層体を提供することを目的とする。本発明は、前面板と、第1粘着剤組成物を用いて形成された第1粘着剤層と、偏光子層と、第2粘着剤組成物を用いて形成された第2粘着剤層と、背面板と、をこの順に含み、前記第1粘着剤層の温度25℃でのせん断応力緩和率をR1、前記第2粘着剤層の温度25℃でのせん断応力緩和率をR2とすると、下記の関係式(1): R1<R2 (1)を満たす、積層体を提供する。

発明が解決しようとする課題
[0004] 前面板及び複数の粘着剤層を有する積層体を含む表示装置について、 前面 板側を内側にして繰り返し屈曲した場合に積層体中の粘着剤層に気泡が発生 する場合がある。 また、 粘着剤層の粘着力が弱く、 粘着剤層と被着部材との 間に浮きや剥がれが生じる場合があった。
[0005] 本発明の目的は、 前面板側を内側にして繰り返し屈曲した場合であっても 気泡の発生が抑制され、 粘着力にも優れた積層体、 及びそれを用いた表示装 置を提供することである。

て特に顕著である。 本発明者による研究の結果、 第 1粘着剤層 1 0 2と第 2 粘着剤層 1 0 4のせん断応力緩和率が関係式 (1) を満たす場合、 前面板 1 〇 1側を内側にして繰り返し屈曲しても、 積層体 1 〇〇中の粘着剤層に発生 する気泡を抑制できることを見出した。 より具体的には、 積層体 1 〇〇の内 面の屈曲半径が 3

となるように 1 0万回繰り返し屈曲しても、 積層体 1 0 0中の粘着剤層に発生する気泡を抑制できる (以下、 優れた 「常温屈曲性 」 を有するともいう。 ) ことを見出した。 常温屈曲性は、 後述の実施例の欄 に記載の評価方法に従って評価することができる。 積層体 1 〇〇は、 前面板 側を外側にして屈曲することが可能であってもよい。 積層体 1 〇〇を適用し た表示装置は、 屈曲又は巻回等が可能なフレキシブルディスプレイとして用 いることができる。
[0017] 本明細書において、 屈曲には、 曲げ部分に曲面が形成される折り曲げの形 態が含まれ、 折り曲げた内面の屈曲半径は特に限定されない。 また、 屈曲に は、 内面の屈折角が〇度より大きく 1 8 0度未満である屈折、 及び、 内面の 屈曲半径がゼロに近似、 又は内面の屈折角が〇度である折り畳みも含む。
[0018] また、 第 1粘着剤層 1 0 2と第 2粘着剤層 1 0 4のせん断応力緩和率が関 係式 (1) を満たす場合は、 恒温恒湿条件下で長時間静置しても、 粘着剤層 と被着部材との間に浮き、 剥がれ、 発泡等の外観変化がほとんど見られず、 常温での粘着耐久性に優れることがわかった。 常温粘着耐久性は、 後述の実 施例の欄に記載の評価方法に従って評価することができる。

[0020] 第 1粘着剤層 1 0 2及び第 2粘着剤層 1 0 4のせん断応力緩和率が、 関係 式 ( 1 ) を満たすように第 1粘着剤組成物及び第 2粘着剤組成物を調製する 方法として、 例えば粘着剤層を後述する粘着剤組成物 から構成したり、 後 述する (メタ) アクリル系ポリマー八を構成するモノマーの種類を変更した り、 (メタ) アクリル系ポリマー八の分子量を調節したりする方法等が挙げ られる。

第 1粘着剤層 1 0 2及び第 2粘着剤層 1 0 4は、 一形態において、 (メタ ) アクリル系ポリマーを含む粘着剤組成物 (以下、 粘着剤組成物八ともいう ) から形成される。 粘着剤組成物 は、 活性エネルギー線硬化型、 熱硬化型 であってもよい。 なお本明細書において 「 (メタ) アクリル系ポリマー」 と は、 アクリル系ポリマー及びメタクリル系ポリマーよりなる群から選ばれる 少なくとも 1種を表す。 その他の 「 (メタ) 」 を付した用語においても同様 である。
[0022] ( 1 ) 活性エネルギー線硬化型粘着剤組成物

以下の手順で実施例 1〜 5、 比較例 1〜 2の積層体を製造した。 なお、 第 1粘着剤層及び第 2粘着剤層の形成には、 表 1及び表 3に示す粘着剤組成物 から形成された粘着シートを、 表 4に示す組み合わせで用いた。
[0183] まず、 貼合層用の粘着シートの剥離フィルム八を剥がした後、 露出した粘 着剤層にコロナ処理を施した。 上記偏光子層を含む積層体の保護層側の表面 にコロナ処理を施した。 コロナ処理をした面が貼合面になるように、 上記貼 〇 2020/175095 45 卩(:170? 2020 /004758
合層用の粘着シートと上記偏光子層を含む積層体とを貼り合わせ、 積層体八 1 を得た。
[0184] 積層体八 1から貼合層用の粘着シートのもう一方の剥離フィルム巳を剥が した後、 露出した貼合層にコロナ処理を施した。 上記位相差層を含む積層体 の位相差層側の表面にコロナ処理を施し、 コロナ処理をした面が貼合面にな るように、 積層体 1 と上記位相差層を含む積層体とを貼り合わせ、 積層体 八 2を得た。
[0185] 積層体八 2から 巳丁フィルムを剥離し、 位相差層側の表面にコロナ処理 を施した。 第 2粘着シートの剥離フィルム八を剥離して、 粘着剤層の表面に コロナ処理を施した。 コロナ処理をした面が貼合面になるように積層体八 2 と第 2粘着剤層とを貼り合わせ、 積層体八 3を得た。

[0187] 積層体八 3の丁八〇フィルム側の表面にコロナ処理を施した。 積層体八 4 の剥離フィルム巳を剥がして、 第 1粘着剤層の表面にコロナ処理を施した。 コロナ処理をした面が貼合面になるように積層体 3と積層体 4とを貼り 合わせ、 積層体八 5を得た。

積層体について、 屈曲評価設備 (3〇 丨 6 n〇 6 T o w n社製、 3丁3 — [¾丁_ 5 0 0) を用いて、 常温屈曲性を確認する評価試験を行った。 図 4は、 本評価試験の方法を模式的に示す図である。 図 4に示すように、 個別 に移動可能な二つの載置台 5 0 1 , 5 0 2を、 間隙〇が 6

(屈曲半径 3 01 01) となるように配置し、 間隙〇の中心に幅方向の中心が位置するように し、 かつ、 ウィンドウフィルムが上側に位置するようにして積層体を固定し て配置した (図 4 (3) ) 。 そして、 二つの載置台 5 0 1 , 5 0 2を位置 1及び位置 2を回転軸の中心として上方に 9 0度回転させて、 載置台の間 隙〇に対応する積層体の領域に曲げの力を付加した (図 4 (13) ) 。 その後 、 二つの載置台 5 0 1 , 5 0 2を元の位置に戻した (図 4 (3) ) 。 以上の 一連の操作を完了して、 曲げの力の付加回数を 1回とカウントした。 これを 、 温度 2 5 °〇において繰返し行った後、 積層体の載置台 5 0 1 , 5 0 2の間 隙〇に対応する領域における粘着剤層中の気泡の発生の有無を確認した。 載 置台 5 0 1 , 5 0 2の移動速度、 曲げの力の付加のぺースは、 いずれの積層 体に対する評価試験においても同一の条件とした。

常温粘着耐久性は、 上記のようにポリエチレンテレフタレート基板の代わ りにガラス基板を貼合した積層体を用いて、 試験を行った。 具体的には、 上 記積層体八

となるように裁断した後、 第 2粘着剤層から剥離フィルム巳を剥がし、 無アルカリガラス基板に貼合して 常温粘着耐久性試験用の積層体とした。 試験片をオートクレープで、 温度 5 〇°〇、 圧力 5気圧で 20分間処理した後、 恒温恒湿条件 (温度 23°〇、 相対 湿度 50%) で 4時間保持した。 その後、 25 °〇の才ーブンで 250時間放 置した後、 試験片に浮き、 剥がれ及び気泡の有無を観察した。 評価の基準は 以下のとおりである。
八 :浮き、 剥がれ、 発泡等の外観変化がほとんど見られない。 巳 :浮き、 剥がれ、 発泡等の外観変化がやや目立つ。
〇 :浮き、 剥がれ、 発泡等の外観変化が顕著に認められる。
