 本発明は、容器に収容されたパンク修理液をコンプレッサの圧縮空気によりタイヤ内に注入するタイプのパンク修理キットに関し、更に詳しくは、使用時に注入用ホースを介してタイヤバルブからぶら下がった状態の容器の姿勢を適正化して容器内のパンク修理液を確実に排出することを可能にしたパンク修理キットに関する。
 近年、車両に装着されたタイヤがパンクした際に、タイヤバルブを介してタイヤ内にパンク修理液を注入することにより、パンクを応急的に修理することが行われている。このような応急的な修理を可能にする装置として、車載用のパンク修理キットが用いられている。パンク修理キットを用いた場合、車両にスペアタイヤを搭載する必要が無くなり、省資源化や車両の軽量化が可能になる。また、車両のスペアタイヤ搭載スペースを別の目的に活用できるという利点もある。
 パンク修理キットは、例えば、パンク修理液が収容された容器と、圧縮空気を供給するコンプレッサと、容器の加圧口とコンプレッサとの間に接続される加圧用ホースと、容器の吐出口とタイヤバルブとの間に接続される注入用ホースとを備えている(例えば、特許文献1を参照)。このようなパンク修理キットの更なる軽量化やコストダウンのために、ホースを短くすることが検討されているが、注入用ホースが短くなると、パンク修理作業時におけるタイヤバルブの位置によっては、容器が注入用ホースを介してタイヤバルブからぶら下がった状態でパンク修理キットが使用されることになる。このようにぶら下がった状態の容器は傾いてしまうため、容器内のパンク修理液を十分に排出できず、パンク修理が適切に行えなくなる虞がある。そのため、容器がホースを介してタイヤバルブからぶら下がった状態になったとしても容器の傾きを修正して容器内のパンク修理液を確実に排出するための対策が求められている。

 本発明の目的は、使用時に注入用ホースを介してタイヤバルブからぶら下がった状態の容器の姿勢を適正化して容器内のパンク修理液を確実に排出することを可能にしたパンク修理キットを提供することにある。
 上記目的を達成するための本発明のパンク修理キットは、パンク修理液が収容された容器と、圧縮空気を供給するコンプレッサと、前記容器の加圧口と前記コンプレッサとの間に接続される加圧用ホースと、前記容器の吐出口とタイヤバルブとの間に接続される注入用ホースとを備えたパンク修理キットにおいて、
 前記容器が前記吐出口を下側にして前記注入用ホースを介して前記タイヤバルブに接続されて該タイヤバルブからぶら下がった状態において、前記容器が倒立状態となるように該容器の姿勢を保持する保持具を備えることを特徴とするものである。
 本発明では、パンク修理キットが容器の姿勢を保持するための保持具を備えているので、容器が吐出口を下側にして注入用ホースを介してタイヤバルブに接続されて該タイヤバルブからぶら下がった状態において、保持具により容器が倒立状態となるように該容器の姿勢を保持することができる。これにより、使用時に注入用ホースを介してタイヤバルブからぶら下がった状態の容器の姿勢を適正化して容器内のパンク修理液を確実に排出することができる。
 本発明において、保持具はそれ自身の長さを調整可能とする長さ調整機構を有することが好ましい。このような長さ調整機構に基づいて保持具の長さを調整することにより、容器の姿勢を容易に適正化することができる。
 保持具はタイヤバルブへの連結を担持する第1連結部と容器への連結を担持する第2連結部とを有することが好ましい。これにより、保持具がタイヤバルブと容器との間に跨るように装着されるので、容器の姿勢を安定的に保持することができる。特に、保持具の第2連結部は両面テープ又は面ファスナーを含むことが好ましい。これにより、容器の姿勢を容易に調整することができる。
 保持具はその一部又は全体において伸縮性を有することが好ましい。このような構成を採用した場合、パンク修理液の注入初期において容器が傾いていても、注入後期において容器が軽くなるに連れて容器が倒立状態となるように該容器の姿勢を保持することができる。また、容器の姿勢変化により注入作業の完了を認識することができるという利点もある。
 保持具は注入用ホースに対して係合する少なくとも1つの係合部を有し、その保持具が係合部により注入用ホースに装着された状態において保持具が該注入用ホースの湾曲を規制するような構造を有していても良い。特に、保持具は注入用ホースの両端部に係合する2つの係合部を有することが好ましい。この場合も、使用時に注入用ホースを介してタイヤバルブからぶら下がった状態の容器の姿勢を適正化して容器内のパンク修理液を確実に排出することができる。
図1(a),(b)は本発明の実施形態からなるパンク修理キットを示し、図1(a)は保持具を装着する前の状態を示す側面図であり、図1(b)は保持具を装着した状態を示す側面図である。 図2(a),(b)はそれぞれ保持具の具体例を示す平面図である。 図3は容器の倒立状態を示す側面図である。 図4(a),(b)は保持具の変形例を示し、図4(a)はその平面図であり、図4(b)はその側面図である。 図5(a),(b)は保持具の変形例を示し、図5(a)はその平面図であり、図5(b)はその側面図である。 図6(a),(b)はそれぞれ保持具の変形例を示す平面図である。 図7はパンク修理キットにおいて図6(a),(b)の保持具を装着した状態を示す側面図である。 図8(a),(b)はそれぞれ保持具の変形例を示す平面図である。 図9(a),(b)はパンク修理キットにおいて図8(a),(b)の保持具を装着した状態を示し、図9(a)は注入初期の状態を示す側面図であり、図9(b)は注入後期の状態を示す側面図である。 図10(a)~(c)は保持具の変形例を示し、図10(a)はその側面図であり、図10(b)はその平面図であり、図10(c)はその正面図である。 図11は容器及び注入用ホースを示す側面図である。 図12はパンク修理キットにおいて図10(a)~(c)の保持具を装着した状態を示す側面図である。 図13(a),(b)はそれぞれ保持具の変形例を示す平面図である。 図14はパンク修理キットにおいて図13(a),(b)の保持具を装着した状態を示す側面図である。
 以下、本発明の構成について添付の図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。図1(a),(b)は本発明の実施形態からなるパンク修理キットを示し、図2(a),(b)はそれぞれ保持具の具体例を示し、図3は容器の倒立状態を示すものである。図1(a),(b)において、1はホイールであり、2はホイール1に装着された空気入りタイヤであり、3はホイールに設けられたタイヤバルブ3である。
 図1(a),(b)に示すように、本実施形態のパンク修理キットは、パンク修理液が収容された容器10と、圧縮空気を供給するコンプレッサ20とを備えている。容器10は、パンク修理液が収容された容器本体11と、該容器本体1の開口部に装着されたキャップ12とを備えている。キャップ12には、容器本体11の内部空間に連通する加圧口13及び吐出口14が形成されている。そして、容器10の加圧口13とコンプレッサ20との間には加圧用ホース31が接続される。一方、容器10の吐出口14とタイヤバルブ3との間には注入用ホース32が接続される。注入用ホース32は、一方の端部が結束部材等により容器10の吐出口14に固定されており、他方の端部には加締め金具33によりネジ式の連結継手34が装着されている。この連結継手34は注入用ホース32に対して回動自在であってタイヤバルブ3に対して螺合するように構成されている。また、注入用ホース32は、軽量化のため、連結継手34を含むホース長さが例えば50mm~100mmの範囲に設定されている。
 図2(a),(b)に示すように、容器10の姿勢を保持するための保持具40は、タイヤバルブ3への連結を担持する第1連結部41と容器10への連結を担持する第2連結部42とを有している。図2(a)では、第1連結部41はタイヤバルブ3が挿入されるリング体であり、第2連結部42は容器10の一部が挿入されるリング体である。図2(b)では、第1連結部41はタイヤバルブ3に掛け回されるフック体であり、第2連結部42は容器10の一部が挿入されるリング体である。保持具40の構成材料は特に限定されるものではないが、例えば、樹脂、繊維、金属が挙げられる。特に、保持具40の形状を保持可能とする材料を選択することが好ましい。
 次に、上述したパンク修理キットを用いたパンク修理方法について説明する。空気入りタイヤ2がパンクした場合、先ず、図1(a)に示すように、パンク修理液が収容された容器10の加圧口13とコンプレッサ20との間に加圧用ホース31を接続すると共に、容器10を吐出口14が下側になるようにして注入用ホース32を介してタイヤバルブ3に接続する。これにより、容器10はタイヤバルブ3からぶら下がった状態になる。この状態では、パンク修理液が収容された容器10はその自重により鉛直方向に対して大きく傾斜する。
 次に、図1(b)に示すように、保持具40の第1連結部41をタイヤバルブ3に装着する一方で、第2連結部42を容器10に装着する。なお、保持具40が図2(a),(b)に示すような構造を有する場合、第2連結部42は予め容器10に対して装着されていると良い。このような保持具40をタイヤバルブ3と容器10との間に跨るように装着することにより、図1(b)に示すように、容器10が倒立状態となるように該容器10の姿勢を保持することができる。従って、この状態でコンプレッサ20を作動させてパンク修理液の注入作業を行うにあたって、注入用ホース32を介してタイヤバルブ3からぶら下がった状態の容器10の姿勢を適正化して容器10内のパンク修理液を確実に排出することができる。
 容器10の倒立状態とは、以下のような状態を意味する。即ち、図3に示すように、容器10が吐出口14を下側にして注入用ホース32を介してタイヤバルブ3に接続されて該タイヤバルブ3からぶら下がった状態において、容器10の中心軸Aが鉛直方向Vに対してなす角度θが25°以下の範囲にあるとき、容器10は倒立状態にある。このような倒立状態においては、容器10の加圧口13に圧縮空気が導入されることにより、容器10内のパンク修理液が下側の吐出口14から確実に排出されることになる。
 図4(a),(b)は保持具の変形例を示すものである。図4(a),(b)において、保持具40は、第1連結部41を含む分割片40Aと第2連結部42を含む分割片40Bとから構成されている。分割片40Aには面ファスナー43Aが貼着され、分割片40Bには面ファスナー43Bが貼着され、これら面ファスナー43A,43Bが長さ調整機構43を構成している。面ファスナー43A,43B同士の係合位置を変更することで保持具40の長さを任意に調整することができる。このような長さ調整機構43に基づいて保持具40の長さを調整することにより、容器10の姿勢を容易に適正化することができる。
 図5(a),(b)は保持具の他の変形例を示すものである。図5(a),(b)において、保持具40は、第1連結部41を含む分割片40Aと第2連結部42を含む分割片40Bとから構成されている。分割片40Aには爪部44Aが形成され、分割片40Bにはその長手方向に沿って複数の開口部44Bが形成され、これら爪部44A及び複数の開口部44Bが長さ調整機構44を構成している。爪部44Aを開口部44Bに対して掛け合せるにあたって、その開口部44Bの位置を選択することで保持具40の長さを任意に調整することができる。このような長さ調整機構44に基づいて保持具40の長さを調整することにより、容器10の姿勢を容易に適正化することができる。
 図6(a),(b)はそれぞれ保持具の更に他の変形例を示し、図7はパンク修理キットにおいて図6(a),(b)の保持具を装着した状態を示すものである。以降の図面において、コンプレッサ20及び加圧用ホース31の描写は省略する。図6(a),(b)において、保持具40は、タイヤバルブ3への連結を担持する第1連結部41と容器10への連結を担持する第2連結部42とを有し、第2連結部42は両面テープ45A又は面ファスナー45Bを備えている。
 図7に示すように、保持具40の第1連結部41がタイヤバルブ3に装着される一方で、第2連結部42は両面テープ45A又は面ファスナー45Bにより容器10の任意の部位に装着される。これにより、容器10の姿勢を容易に調整することができる。特に、保持具40の長手方向における両面テープ45A又は面ファスナー45Bの設置範囲を大きくすることにより、容器10の姿勢の調整範囲を広くすることができる。なお、面ファスナー45Bを用いる場合、それと対をなす他の面ファスナーを容器10に貼着する必要がある。また、第2連結部42は容器10の上側の部位に装着しても良い。
 図8(a),(b)はそれぞれ保持具の更に他の変形例を示し、図9(a),(b)はパンク修理キットにおいて図8(a),(b)の保持具を装着した状態を示すものである。図8(a),(b)において、保持具40はその一部又は全体において伸縮性を有している。つまり、図8(a),(b)に示す保持具40は第1連結部41及び第2連結部42を有し、その一部又は全体がゴムのような伸縮性を有する材料で構成されている。
 このような伸縮性を有する保持具40を採用した場合、図9(a)に示すように、パンク修理液の注入初期において、パンク修理液が収容された容器10の重さにより保持具40が延びて容器10が傾く場合があるが、図9(b)に示すように、注入後期において容器10が軽くなるに連れて保持具40が縮んで容器10が倒立状態となる。これにより、使用時に注入用ホース32を介してタイヤバルブ3からぶら下がった状態の容器10の姿勢を適正化して容器10内のパンク修理液を確実に排出することができる。つまり、容器10の倒立状態は必ずしもパンク修理液の注入初期から維持されている必要はなく、少なくとも注入後期において容器10の倒立状態が達成されていれば良い。また、パンク修理液の注入過程において、容器10の姿勢に変化が生じることにより、その姿勢に基づいて注入作業の完了を認識することができる。
 図10(a)~(c)は保持具の変形例を示し、図11は容器及び注入用ホースを示し、図12はパンク修理キットにおいて図10(a)~(c)の保持具を装着した状態を示すものである。図10(a)~(c)において、保持具50は、注入用ホース32に対して係合する少なくとも1つの係合部51を有し、好ましくは、注入用ホース32の長手方向の両端部に係合する2つの係合部51を有している。各係合部51は注入用ホース32を挟み込む一対の係止片から構成されている。係合部51の構造は特に限定されるものではないが、注入用ホース32が外れ難い形状を採用することが望ましい。また、保持具50は樹脂や金属のような剛性を有する材料から構成され、加圧用ホース31の全長にわたる長さを有している。保持具50は、図12に示すように側面視で直線状に延在するものであっても良く、或いは、容器10を鉛直方向に対して平行に保持するために側面視で湾曲又は屈曲していても良い。
 このように構成される保持具50は、図11及び図12に示すように、係合部51により注入用ホース32に装着される。そして、保持具50が注入用ホース32に装着された状態において、その保持具50が注入用ホース32の湾曲を規制する。特に、保持具50が注入用ホース32の長手方向の両端部に係合する2つの係合部51を有し、一方の係合部51を注入用ホース32の容器10側の端部に装着し、他方の係合部51を注入用ホース32の加締め金具33に装着した場合、注入用ホース32の湾曲を効果的に規制し、容器10を安定的に保持することができる。これにより、パンク修理液の注入作業を行うにあたって、注入用ホース32を介してタイヤバルブ3からぶら下がった状態の容器10の姿勢を適正化して容器10内のパンク修理液を確実に排出することができる。
 図13(a),(b)はそれぞれ保持具の変形例を示し、図14はパンク修理キットにおいて図13(a),(b)の保持具を装着した状態を示すものである。図13(a),(b)に示す保持具50は、図10(a)~(c)の例に比べて長尺に形成されており、加圧用ホース31の全長にわたって延在し、更には容器10の下方域まで延在している。図13(a)の例では保持具50が一定の幅を有しているが、図13(b)の例では保持具50の端部において容器10のキャップ12の形状と整合するように保持具50の幅が他の部位よりも広くなっている。この場合、キャップ12が安定的に支持されるので好ましい。また、キャップ12及び保持具50の対向する部分にそれぞれ凸部又は凹部を設け、両者を互いに係合させる構造とした場合、その安定性を更に高めることができる。

Claims (7)

  1.  パンク修理液が収容された容器と、圧縮空気を供給するコンプレッサと、前記容器の加圧口と前記コンプレッサとの間に接続される加圧用ホースと、前記容器の吐出口とタイヤバルブとの間に接続される注入用ホースとを備えたパンク修理キットにおいて、
     前記容器が前記吐出口を下側にして前記注入用ホースを介して前記タイヤバルブに接続されて該タイヤバルブからぶら下がった状態において、前記容器が倒立状態となるように該容器の姿勢を保持する保持具を備えることを特徴とするパンク修理キット。
  2.  前記保持具はそれ自身の長さを調整可能とする長さ調整機構を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパンク修理キット。
  3.  前記保持具は前記タイヤバルブへの連結を担持する第1連結部と前記容器への連結を担持する第2連結部とを有することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のパンク修理キット。
  4.  前記保持具の第2連結部は両面テープ又は面ファスナーを含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のパンク修理キット。
  5.  前記保持具はその一部又は全体において伸縮性を有することを特徴とする請求項1~4のいずれかに記載のパンク修理キット。
  6.  前記保持具は前記注入用ホースに対して係合する少なくとも1つの係合部を有し、前記保持具が前記係合部により前記注入用ホースに装着された状態において前記保持具が該注入用ホースの湾曲を規制することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパンク修理キット。
  7.  前記保持具は前記注入用ホースの両端部に係合する2つの係合部を有することを特徴とする請求項6に記載のパンク修理キット。
