Definitions

  • the present invention refers to a coupling hitch of a trailer to a traction vehicle, which aims to provide greater stability in the articulation between the trailer and the vehicle of traction and improve safety in maneuverability actions and a longer life of the hitch.
  • the invention is applicable to any type of traction vehicle that requires towing a trailer, although it is preferably applicable to carry out the spraying of agricultural sprayers or sprinklers, by means of a tractor.
  • hitches for connecting a trailer to a tractor is known, as for example described in the patent document with application number P200800843, which comprises a single-piece body that is provided with a cylindrical part with an axial hole in which an axle is attached to a trailer and which is also provided with a flat part perpendicular to the lateral surface of the cylindrical part.
  • This flat part includes a transverse hole, and is arranged between two lateral branches of the tractor, equipped with holes coincident with the transverse hole of the flat part, to make the fixing to the tractor by means of a pin that allows articulation in the vertical plane between the tractor and trailer.
  • This device has the drawback that the fixing on the tractor is carried out only by means of the pin, the flat part being located between the lateral branches of the tractor, so that the pin must withstand all the tensile and articulation efforts, which affects less stability in the articulation between the trailer and the traction vehicle, and as a consequence it presents a greater deterioration and a shorter useful life of the device.
  • the invention provides a new trailer coupling hitch to a traction vehicle that comprises a central body that is at least provided with a pair of threaded holes, and from which emerge a pair of lugs, between which by means of a transverse axis, a ball joint is held vertically articulated. Furthermore, the central body comprises an extension, configured to be fixed to the frame of the towing vehicle.
  • a screw is arranged, so that its position in the threaded hole is regulated so that they press against the frame of the towing vehicle, so that the position of the hitch is adjusted so that it is arranged in a perpendicular and solidary position on the frame of the towing vehicle.

All this provides greater stability in towing the trailer and a longer useful life of the coupling hitch between said trailer and the traction vehicle.
