Description

Nasal passage improvement tool

The present invention relates to a nasal passage improvement device that is attached to a nose to improve the nasal passage.

For example, a nasal congestion may occur due to a cold, hay fever, or the like. When the nasal congestion occurs in this way, nasal breathing is impeded, which causes poor sleep at bedtime.

The nasal pack of Patent Document 1 is intended to improve the condition of nasal inflammation by being worn on the face and heating the nasal cavity or the paranasal cavity with its heating element.

Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 11-347059

By the way, in patent document 1, as a composition of a heating element, the exothermic composition used by what is called a disposable body warmer (chemical body warmer) is mentioned. However, in general, it takes some time for the chemical warmer to sufficiently raise the temperature after coming into contact with the outside air. Therefore, even if the nose pack of Patent Document 1 is attached, it takes time until the stuffy nose is cleared, and the sleepiness is not improved.

In view of the above circumstances, the present invention has a technical problem to promptly eliminate a stuffy nose and improve sleepiness.

The nasal passage improving device according to the present invention, which was devised to solve the above-mentioned problems, is a nasal passage improving device that is attached to a nose portion to improve the nasal passage, and is a pair of chemotherapeutic compositions. Here, the definition of water vapor transmission rate (water vapor permeability) is based on JIS K 7129 (the same applies hereinafter).

According to this configuration, the moisture permeability of the ventilation unit, since it is 600g / (m 2 · 24h) ~ 20000g / (m 2 · 24h), chemical exothermic composition makes it possible quickly to contact the air .. Therefore, the temperature of the chemically exothermic composition can be raised rapidly. As a result, it becomes possible to quickly eliminate the stuffy nose after mounting and improve sleep comfortably.

In the above configuration, an elastic member that pulls the side wall of the nose outward when worn may be provided in the connection.

With this configuration, since the nasal cavity can be expanded by the elastic member, the effect of eliminating stuffy nose can be enhanced.

In the above structure, the distance between the centers of the pair of accommodating portions may be 55 mm to 90 mm.

With this configuration, it is possible to arrange the accommodation portion on the acupuncture point called “nasal passage”, which is said to be effective for stuffy nose when stimulated. As a result, the "nasal passage" can be warmed and the effect of eliminating stuffy nose can be enhanced. Further, when the elastic member is arranged in the connecting portion, when the accommodating portion is located on the "nasal passage", the elastic member can be arranged at an appropriate position to pull the side wall of the nose outward. become.

The end portion side of the accommodation portion 2 in the longitudinal direction is circular in shape.

The adhesive layer 8 is formed on the back surface of the back sheet member 7. The peeling member 9 is attached to the back surface of the adhesive layer 8 so as to be peelable from the adhesive layer 8. In the present embodiment, the adhesive layer 8 is formed on the entire back surface of the back sheet member 7, but may be formed only on a partial area.

The chemical exothermic composition 4 is an exothermic composition used in a so-called disposable body warmer (chemical body warmer). The chemical exothermic composition 4 utilizes the heat of oxidation of metal and generally contains metal powder such as iron powder, metal halide such as salt, water, activated carbon powder, and water retention material. Further, the chemical exothermic composition 4 may further contain a temperature control agent for controlling the maximum exothermic temperature (see, for example, Japanese Patent No. 6273481).

Further, in the present embodiment, the chemical exothermic composition 4 is a tablet-molded article produced by tablet-molding the raw material. In addition, tableting means pressing a raw material into a tablet shape with a tableting machine. The shape of the tablet-molded body is a substantially cylindrical shape having a low height (circular shape in plan view) according to the shape of the internal space of the housing 2. However, the shape of the tablet molding is not limited to this, and may be, for example, a prismatic shape. Further, the chemical exothermic composition 4 is not limited to a tablet-molded product, and may be in a powder form or the like.

Area in plan view of the chemical exothermic composition 4 is, for example, 200 mm 2 ~ 500 mm 2, more preferably 250mm 2 ~ 450mm 2, 300mm 2 ~ 400mm 2 being most preferred. When the area of the chemical exothermic composition 4 in plan view is smaller than 200 mm 2 , the effect of eliminating stuffy nose may not be sufficiently obtained. When the area of the chemical exothermic composition 4 in plan view exceeds 500 mm 2 , a large amount of the chemical exothermic composition 4 is required, which may increase the manufacturing cost.

The front-side sheet member 6 and the back-side sheet member 7 are air-permeable materials, and are made of, for example, a nonwoven fabric using polyethylene, polypropylene, or the like. In this embodiment, the front sheet member 6 and the back sheet member 7 are made of the same material, but may be made of different materials.

Face sheet member 6, the moisture permeability of the backsheet member 7 is 600g / (m 2 · 24h) ~ 20000g / (m 2 · 24h), 1000g / (m 2 · 24h) ~ 10000g / (m 2 · 24h ) Is more preferable, and 2000 g/(m 2 ·24 h) to 8000 g/(m 2 ·24 h) is the most preferable. When the moisture vapor transmission rate is less than 600 g/(m 2 ·24 h), the temperature of the chemically exothermic composition 4 does not rise rapidly, and there is a possibility that the stuffy nose cannot be eliminated quickly. When the moisture vapor transmission rate exceeds 20000 g/(m 2 ·24 h), the exothermic reaction of the chemical exothermic composition 4 may proceed too much and the exothermic time may be shortened.

The characteristics relating to the exothermic temperature (temperature on the skin side) include rising time (in this embodiment, time from 31.5° C. to 39.9° C.), maximum temperature, and duration (40° C. in this embodiment). There is time) while it is above. Here, the method of measuring the exothermic temperature complies with the “normal method” of JIS S 4100 (hereinafter the same).

The rise time is preferably, for example, 60 seconds or less, more preferably 50 seconds or less, and most preferably 40 seconds or less. If the rising time exceeds 60 seconds, it may be difficult to quickly eliminate the nasal congestion after mounting the nose passing improvement device 1.

The maximum temperature is, for example, preferably 43°C to 65°C, more preferably 43°C to 60°C, most preferably 43°C to 55°C. If the maximum temperature is less than 43°C, it does not reach about 43°C required for good blood flow. If the maximum temperature is higher than 65°C, there is a possibility of low-temperature burns and a short period of heat generation.

The duration is, for example, 10 minutes to 3 hours, preferably 10 minutes to 2 hours, and most preferably 10 minutes to 1 hour. If the duration is less than 10 minutes, the effect of eliminating stuffy nose may not be sufficiently obtained. When the duration is more than 3 hours, there is a possibility of low-temperature burn and a large amount of the chemical exothermic composition 4, which may increase the manufacturing cost.

In the present embodiment, the chemical exothermic composition 4 comes into contact with air via the projecting portion 6a of the front side sheet member 6 of the accommodating portion 2, so that the projecting portion 6a serves to bring the chemical exothermic composition 4 into contact with air. It becomes a ventilation part.

The shape and material of the elastic member 5 are not particularly limited as long as the side wall of the nose can be pulled outward when it is worn. In the illustrated example of FIG. 1, the shape of the elastic member 5 is a long plate shape and a rectangular shape in a plan view. Further, as the material of the elastic member 5, for example, synthetic resin such as polyester can be used.

The distance d between the centers of the pair of accommodating portions 2 (chemical exothermic composition 4) in plan view is, for example, 55 mm to 90 mm, more preferably 60 mm to 85 mm, and most preferably 65 mm to 80 mm. Whether the distance d is less than 55 mm or more than 90 mm, it may be difficult to arrange the accommodation portion on the acupuncture point called “nasal passage” which is said to be effective for stuffy nose when stimulated.

Before use, the nasal passage improvement device 1 is placed inside a bag (not shown) made of a non-breathable material, sealed and stored. When using the nasal passage improvement device 1, remove the nasal passage improvement device 1 from the bag, peel off the peeling member 9 on the back side, and attach the adhesive layer 8 to the nose portion as shown in FIG. To be installed. In the illustrated example, the center of the pair of accommodation portions 2 (chemically exothermic composition 4) is arranged on the acupuncture point called “nasal passage”.

In the nose as improved instrument 1 of this embodiment configured as described above, the moisture permeability of the face sheet member 6, since it is 600g / (m 2 · 24h) ~ 20000g / (m 2 · 24h), the exothermic heat generating The composition 4 can quickly contact the air. Therefore, the chemically exothermic composition 4 can be quickly heated. As a result, it becomes possible to quickly eliminate the stuffy nose after mounting and improve sleep comfortably.

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications can be made within the scope of the technical idea thereof. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the chemical exothermic composition 4 is housed between the projecting portion 6a of the front sheet member 6 and the back sheet member 7, but as shown in FIG. The breathable bag member 10 in which is previously stored may be stored between the protruding portion 6 a of the front side sheet member 6 and the back side sheet member 7. In this case, the bag member 10, the protruding portion 6a, and the back sheet member 7 serve as a containing portion for containing the chemically exothermic composition 4, and the bag member 10 and the protruding portion 6a bring the chemically exothermic composition 4 into contact with air. It becomes the ventilation part of.

Further, as shown in FIG. 3B, the breathable bag member 10 containing the chemical exothermic composition 4 in advance may be attached and fixed to the front sheet member 6 by the back side adhesive layer 11. In this case, the bag member 10 serves as a housing portion for housing the chemically exothermic composition 4, and the bag member 10 serves as a ventilation portion for bringing the chemically exothermic composition 4 into contact with air. Further, in this case, the front side sheet member 6 and the back side sheet member 7 may be made of a non-breathable material.

Further, in this case, before the nose passing improvement device 1 is used, a peeling member (not shown) is attached to the adhesive layer 11 of the bag member 10 to attach the bag member 10 to a bag body (not shown) of a non-air-permeable material. ), it is sealed and stored, and when the nose passing improvement device 1 is used, the bag member 10 is taken out from this bag body, the peeling member is peeled off, and the front side sheet member 6 is stuck and fixed.

The inventor of the present application evaluated the exothermic temperature of the chemically exothermic composition 4 in relation to the nose passing improvement device 1 according to the present invention.

Unlike the above-described embodiment (see FIG. 1 ), the sample S used for evaluation includes one accommodating portion 2 accommodating the chemically exothermic composition 4, as shown in FIG. The elastic member 5 is not provided. Since the other points are the same as those of the above-described embodiment, the same components are designated by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof will be omitted. At the time of evaluation, the peeling member 9 was peeled off, and the sample S was placed on the measuring device with the adhesive layer 8.

As the chemical exothermic composition 4, a columnar tablet-formed product was used. The tablet compact had a weight of 1 g, a diameter of 15 mm and a height of 5 mm. The components of the chemical exothermic composition 4 are 30 to 40% by weight of iron powder, 1 to 5% by weight of salt, 20 to 30% by weight of water, 1 to 5% by weight of activated carbon powder, 10 to 20% by weight of water retention material, and temperature control agent. It was 10 to 20% by weight.

The moisture permeability of the front side sheet member 6 and the back side sheet member 7 was 8000 g/(m 2 ·24 h).

Using a temperature measuring sensor ST-22E-005-TS3-WT4 (made by Adachi Keiki Co., Ltd.) and a graphic recorder KR2S2P-NOA (made by Chino Co., Ltd.), 10 exothermic temperatures (temperatures on the skin side) Was measured. As the heat generation characteristics, the rising time (in this example, the time from 31.5° C. to 39.9° C.), the maximum temperature, and the duration (time while the temperature was 40° C. or higher) were measured. The result is shown in FIG. Further, FIG. 6 shows an exothermic temperature with respect to time as an average value of ten samples S.

From FIG. 5, it can be seen that the rise time is within 40 seconds for all samples S. Further, as can be seen from FIG. 6, the time required to reach the maximum temperature is within 5 minutes. These times are very short compared with general chemical warmers. This result is due to the fact that the non-woven fabric forming the bag has a large moisture vapor transmission rate of 8000 g/(m 2 ·24 h), so the chemical exothermic composition quickly contacts the air and the chemical exothermic composition It is considered that the temperature of the object rapidly increased.

Further, the inventor of the present application conducted a sensory test in association with the nose passing improvement device 1 according to the present invention.

For this sensory test, the same sample S as that used in Example 1 was used. The test subjects were those with nasal congestion symptoms at bedtime, and the number was 15.

The test method was as follows. The sample S was attached to the “nasal passage” of the subject's face, and a commercially available product (“Breeze Light” (registered trademark/made by GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Japan KK) was applied to the subject's nose. That is, the sample S and the commercial product correspond to the products of the present invention. For comparison, the case where the commercial product was mounted on the subject's nose without mounting the sample S was also tested.

The level of nose congestion was set to 0.00 and the condition where the nose was completely blocked was set to 1.00, and the subjects were made to quantify the degree of nose congestion on the "visual analog scale (VAS)". ..

About the degree of stuffy nose just before wearing, 5 minutes later, 10 minutes later, when breathing in both nostrils, breathing only in the left nostril, and breathing only in the right nostril Numericalized. However, when breathing only with one nostril, one nose is distinguished by not distinguishing between the left and right, but by distinguishing the nostril with the stronger one and the one with the lesser one. Differentiated the holes.

The test results were processed as follows. As a value indicating the degree of improvement in nasal congestion, a value obtained by subtracting the value immediately before wearing from the value after 5 minutes and 10 minutes was calculated. As this calculated value is negative and the absolute value is larger, the stuffy nose is improved. Graphs of average values of the calculated values are shown in FIGS. FIG. 7 shows a case of breathing through both nostrils, FIG. 8 shows a case of breathing through only one nostril with a strong nasal congestion, and FIG. 9 shows a case of breathing through only one nostril with a weak nasal congestion. Show. In each figure, the solid line shows the case where the sample S and the commercial product are used at the same time, and the dotted line shows the case where only the commercial product is used.

As can be seen from FIGS. 7 to 9, when breathing through both nostrils, when breathing through only one nostril with a strong stuffy nose, or when breathing through only one nostril with a weak stuffy nose Also, when the sample S and the commercial product are used at the same time, the stuffy nose is improved. In particular, as can be seen from FIG. 8, when the person breathes only through one of the nostrils, which has a strong stuffy nose, the stuffy nose is greatly improved as compared with the case where only the commercially available product is used.
