Abstract

The present invention relates to a cooking device (1) comprising a cooking cavity (2) wherein the foodstuffs to be cooked are placed; a body (3) in the form of a box with the front side open which surrounds the cooking cavity (2); a panel (4) which is disposed on the body (3); a steam generator (5) which is disposed on the body (3); a water tank (7) which is disposed on the body (3) and which enables water to be delivered to the steam generator (5) by means of a water delivery line (6); and an opening (8) which is arranged on the panel (4) and which provides access to the water tank (7).

Description

A COOKING DEVICE COMPRISING A WATER TANK
The present invention relates to a cooking device comprising a water tank.
In ovens, the cooking process is generally performed by operating the heaters and the fan in the cooking cavity at the same time. The hot air heated by the heaters disposed on the ceiling, the base or the rear wall of the cooking cavity is distributed into the cooking cavity by means of the fan. In cooking devices which have the steam cooking function, the steam cooking is performed by delivering the steam obtained from the water heated in the steam generator to the cooking cavity. By means of steam cooking, the foodstuffs are prevented from losing water during cooking, thus providing a homogeneous cooking process with higher quality. The user fills in water into a receptacle provided in the cooking devices with the steam cooking function. The water is taken from the receptacle by means of a delivery line and delivered to the steam generator. By means of the steam generator, the water is delivered into the cooking cavity as steam. Consequently, the steam cooking process is performed. The water is drawn from the water receptacle generally by means of a hose and delivered to the steam generator. However, the hose wears off in the course of time or cannot be placed by the user. Therefore, the water delivery cannot be realized efficiently.
In the state of the art European Patent Application No. EP1909038, a cooking device is disclosed, comprising a steam generator.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a cooking device comprising a water tank with facilitated use.
The cooking device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a cooking cavity wherein the foodstuffs to be cooked are placed; a body in the form of a box with the front side open which surrounds the cooking cavity; a panel which is disposed on the body; a steam generator which is disposed on the body; a water tank which is disposed on the body and which enables water to be delivered to the steam generator by means of a water delivery line; and an opening which is arranged on the panel and which provides access to the water tank.
The cooking device of the present invention comprises a nonelastic delivery member which is provided on the water tank. The delivery member extends from the base of the water tank to the surface thereof. One end of the delivery member is positioned on the base of the water tank while the other end is connected to the water delivery line. Thus, the water is enabled to be transferred from the water tank to the water delivery line. The nonelastic structure of the delivery member facilitates the placement thereof, which ensures a long-term use without deformation.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device comprises the delivery member which extends along one side of the water tank and which provides the delivery of the water by means of a cylindrical gap therein. The delivery member extends in the vertical plane along one side of the water tank. One end of the delivery member is arranged on the base of the water tank. The other end of the delivery member is positioned on the surface of the water tank so as to be connected to the water delivery line. The water flows through the gap.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device comprises a housing which is provided on the base of the water tank. The end of the delivery member arranged on the water tank opens into the housing. The housing is formed by designing one section of the base of the water tank lower than the rest. Thus, the water in the water tank fills into the housing. By means of the end of the delivery member opening into the housing, the water is drawn and transferred to the water delivery line.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device comprises the delivery member which is fixed onto the water tank. The delivery member cannot be detached from the water tank. Thus, it is ensured that the delivery member is used properly at the same position in every cooking process.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the delivery member is fixed onto the water tank by ultrasonic welding method. Thus, ease of production is provided, and the perception of quality is improved.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device comprises a port which is arranged at the region where the water delivery line is connected with the delivery member. By means of the port, the water drawn from the water tank by means of the delivery member is transferred to the water delivery line.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device comprises a sealing member which is provided on the port. The sealing member circumferentially surrounds the port. Thus, the water is prevented from getting scattered.
By means of the present invention, a cooking device is realized, comprising a water tank which provides ease of use.
The cooking device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:

The cooking device (1) comprises a cooking cavity (2) wherein the foodstuffs to be cooked are placed; a body (3) in the form of a box with the front side open which surrounds the cooking cavity (2); a panel (4) which is disposed on the body (3); a steam generator (5) which is disposed on the body (3); a water tank (7) which is disposed on the body (3) and which enables water to be delivered to the steam generator (5) by means of a water delivery line (6); and an opening (8) which is arranged on the panel (4) and which provides access to the water tank (7). The water in the water tank (7) is delivered to the steam generator (5) by means of the water delivery line (6). The water is converted to steam by means of the steam generator (5) and then delivered to the cooking cavity (2). By means of the opening (8), the user can access the water tank (7) and fill water therein.
The cooking device (1) of the present invention comprises a delivery member (9) which is provided on the water tank (7) and which extends from the base of the water tank (7) to the surface thereof, thus drawing the water in the water tank (7) to be transferred to the water delivery line (6). The delivery member (9) has a nonelastic form. The delivery member (9) extends from the base of the water tank (7) to the surface thereof. The delivery member (9) is not flexible. Thus, the delivery member (9) cannot be deformed due to use. Consequently, the economic life of the delivery member (9) is prolonged, ensuring the user satisfaction.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device (1) comprises the delivery member (9) which is positioned in the vertical plane along one side of the water tank (7) and which provides the delivery of the water by means of a cylindrical gap (10) therein. The delivery member (9) extends longitudinally along one side of the water tank (7). By means of the cylindrical longitudinal gap (10) in the delivery member (9), the water in the water tank (7) is transferred to the water delivery line (6).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device (1) comprises a housing (11) which is provided on the base of the water tank (7) so as to be aligned with the end of the delivery member (9) provided on the water tank (7) and wherein the water is filled so as to be drawn by the delivery member (9). The housing (11) is formed by designing one section of the base of the water tank (7) lower than the rest. The end of the delivery member (9) provided on the water tank (7) is above the housing (11). As the housing (11) is positioned at a lower level than the base of the water tank (7), the water flows towards the housing (11). Thus, the water can be drawn by the delivery member (9).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device (1) comprises the delivery member (9) which is produced as a single piece with the water tank (7). The delivery member (9) cannot be detached from the water tank (7). Thus, any incidence occurring due to user error is prevented. The cooking device (1) is enabled to produce the same result in every cooking process.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device (1) comprises the delivery member (9) which is fixed onto the water tank (7) by ultrasonic welding method. The delivery member (9) is fixed onto the water tank (7) by ultrasonic welding method. Thus, ease of production is provided.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device (1) comprises a port (12) which is connected to the water delivery line (6) via the delivery member (9) and which provides the transfer of water to the water delivery line (6). The port (12) is arranged on the delivery member (9). The port (12) extends from the delivery member (9) towards the water delivery line (6). Thus, the water drawn from the water tank (7) by means of the delivery member (9) is transferred to the water delivery line (6).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device (1) comprises a sealing member (13) which is provided circumferentially on the port (12). The sealing member (13) surrounds the port (12), thus providing leak-proofing while the water is transferred from the delivery member (9) to the water delivery line (6).
By means of the present invention, the water is drawn by means of a nonelastic delivery member (9) provided on the water tank (7). Thus, the delivery member (9) is prevented from getting deformed in the course of time. The delivery member (9) is enabled to be cleaned more easily.

Claims (7)

  1. A cooking device (1) comprising a cooking cavity (2) wherein the foodstuffs to be cooked are placed; a body (3) in the form of a box with the front side open which surrounds the cooking cavity (2); a panel (4) which is disposed on the body (3); a steam generator (5) which is disposed on the body (3); a water tank (7) which is disposed on the body (3) and which enables water to be delivered to the steam generator (5) by means of a water delivery line (6); and an opening (8) which is arranged on the panel (4) and which provides access to the water tank (7), characterized by a delivery member (9) which is provided on the water tank (7) and which extends from the base of the water tank (7) to the surface thereof, thus drawing the water in the water tank (7) to be transferred to the water delivery line (6).
  2. A cooking device (1) as in Claim 1, characterized by the delivery member (9) which is positioned in the vertical plane along one side of the water tank (7) and which provides the delivery of the water by means of a cylindrical gap (10) therein.
  3. A cooking device (1) as in Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterized by a housing (11) which is provided on the base of the water tank (7) so as to be aligned with the end of the delivery member (9) provided on the water tank (7) and wherein the water is filled so as to be drawn by the delivery member (9).
  4. A cooking device (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the delivery member (9) which is produced as a single piece with the water tank (7).
  5. A cooking device (1) as in Claim 4, characterized by the delivery member (9) which is fixed to the water tank (7) by ultrasonic welding method.
  6. A cooking device (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by a port (12) which is connected to the water delivery line (6) via the delivery member (9) and which provides the transfer of water to the water delivery line (6).
  7. A cooking device (1) as in Claim 6, characterized by a sealing member (13) which is circumferentially disposed on the port (12).
