Description

  • The present invention relates to a cooking device comprising a water tank.
  • In ovens, the cooking process is generally performed by operating the heaters and the fan in the cooking cavity at the same time. The hot air heated by the heaters disposed on the ceiling, the base or the rear wall of the cooking cavity is distributed into the cooking cavity by means of the fan. In cooking devices which have the steam cooking function, the steam cooking is performed by delivering the steam obtained from the water heated in the steam generator to the cooking cavity. By means of steam cooking, the foodstuffs are prevented from losing water during cooking, thus providing a homogeneous cooking process with higher quality. The user fills in water into a receptacle provided in the cooking devices with the steam cooking function. The water is taken from the receptacle by means of a delivery line and delivered to the steam generator. By means of the steam generator, the water is delivered into the cooking cavity as steam. Consequently, the steam cooking process is performed. The water is drawn from the water receptacle generally by means of a hose and delivered to the steam generator. However, the hose connected to the water tank gets loose or dislodges in the course of time due to suction and pumping pressure. This causes the water to scatter around while the water is sucked from the water tank or delivered to the water tank. Moreover, this adversely affects the operating performance of the cooking device and results in safety problems.
  • In documents WO 2017/116352 A1 , EP 3 339 76 A1 and EP1909038 , cooking devices are disclosed, comprising a steam generator.
  • The aim of the present invention is the realization of a cooking device comprising a water tank with improved safety and operating performance.
  • The cooking device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a cooking cavity wherein the foodstuffs to be cooked are placed; a body in the form of a box with the front side open which surrounds the cooking cavity; a panel which is disposed on the body; a steam generator which is disposed on the body; a water tank which is disposed on the body and which enables water to be delivered to the steam generator by means of a water delivery line; and an opening which is arranged on the panel and which provides access to the water tank.
  • The cooking device of the present invention comprises a lid having a mouth portion which provides the connection of the water delivery line to the water tank and a housing which improves the leak-proofing of the mouth portion. The housing surrounds and clamps the mouth portion. Thus, the deformations that may be caused on the mouth portion by the pressure of the water passing through the water delivery line are prevented.
  • The cooking device of the present invention comprises at least one channel provided on the mouth portion and at least one protrusion provided on the housing. The protrusions are positioned on the surface of the housing which is in contact with the mouth portion. The protrusions are seated into the channels so as to fix the housing onto the mouth portion.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device comprises a conic housing. Thus, the housing can be easily attached to/detached from the mouth portion.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device comprises the housing which has almost the same dimensions as the mouth portion. Thus, almost no gap remains between the housing and the mouth portion. The housing is tightly fitted over the mouth portion, providing leak-proofing.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device comprises the lid which almost completely covers the water tank. By means of the lid, the water tank is protected against daylight, thus preventing the formation of microorganisms. Moreover, by means of the lid, the water tank is protected against external factors.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device comprises a suction pump and a delivery pump. By means of the suction pump, the water in the water tank is delivered to the steam generator. By means of the delivery pump, the excess water in the steam generator is delivered to the water tank. The water passing through the suction and delivery pumps is delivered to the water delivery line by means of a connection member.
  • By means of the present invention, a cooking device is realized, comprising a water delivery line which provides the bidirectional delivery of the water in the water tank and a housing which provides the leak-proofing of the water delivery line.
  • The cooking device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:

    • Figure 3 - is the view of the lid and the water delivery line.
    • Figure 4 - is the cross-sectional view of the water tank.

  • The cooking device (1) comprises a cooking cavity (2) wherein the foodstuffs to be cooked are placed; a body (3) in the form of a box with the front side open which surrounds the cooking cavity (2); a panel (4) which is disposed on the body (3); a steam generator (5) which is disposed on the body (3); a water tank (7) which is disposed on the body (3) and which enables water to be delivered to the steam generator (5) by means of a water delivery line (6); and an opening (8) which is arranged on the panel (4) and which provides access to the water tank (7). The water in the water tank (7) is delivered to the steam generator (5) by means of the water delivery line (6). The water is converted to steam by means of the steam generator (5) and then delivered to the cooking cavity (2). By means of the opening (8), the user can access the water tank (7) and fill water therein.
  • The cooking device (1) of the present invention comprises a lid (11) having a mouth portion (9) which provides the connection of the water delivery line (6) to the water tank (7) and a housing (10) which clamps down the mouth portion (9). The housing (10) is fitted over the mouth portion (9) so as to surround the mouth portion (9). Thus, the mouth portion (9) is prevented from being deformed due to water pressure. Moreover, by means of the housing (10), the mouth portion (9) is clamped down, thus providing leak-proofing.
  • The cooking device (1) of the present invention comprises at least one channel (12) which is provided on the mouth portion (9) and at least one protrusion (13) which is provided on the housing (10) surface in contact with the mouth portion (9) so as to align with the channels (12). The protrusions (13) are positioned on the housing (10) surface which is in contact with the mouth portion (9). The protrusions (13) are fitted into the channels (12). Thus, the housing (10) is fixed onto the mouth portion (9).
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device (1) comprises the conic housing (10). By means of the conic structure of the housing (10), ease of assembly is provided. The housing (10) is easily fitted over the mouth portion (9), thus providing leak-proofing.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device (1) comprises the housing (10) which has almost the same diameter as the mouth portion (9). As the mouth portion (9) and the housing (10) have almost the same dimensions, the housing (10) completely surrounds the mouth portion (9). No gap remains between the housing (10) and the mouth portion (9). Thus, the housing (10) is prevented from moving over the mouth portion (9).
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device (1) comprises the lid (11) which almost completely covers the water tank (7). By almost completely covering the water tank (7), the lid (11) prevents the water tank (7) from being exposed to light. Thus, the water in the water tank (7) is kept healthy. Moreover, by means of the lid (11), the water tank (7) is protected against external factors such as temperature, etc.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device (1) comprises a suction pump (14) which provides the delivery of the water from the water tank (7) to the steam generator (5), a delivery pump (15) which provides the delivery of the excess water in the steam generator (5) to the water tank (7), and a connection member (16) which enables the water passing through the suction and delivery pumps (14, 15) to be delivered to the water delivery line (6). By means of the suction pump (14), the water in the water tank (7) is delivered to the steam generator (5) and is converted to steam in there to be used in the cooking process. The delivery pump (15) provides the delivery of the excess water in the steam generator (5) back to the water tank (7). The water delivery line (6) provides the bidirectional transfer of the water. The pumps (14, 15) are connected by means of the connection member (16).
  • By means of the present invention, a cooking device (1) comprising a water tank (7) is realized. The water in the water tank (7) is delivered to the steam generator (5) to be converted to steam in there. It is then delivered into the cooking cavity (2) to be used in the cooking process. The water is received from/delivered to the water tank (7) by means of a water delivery line (6). By means of a housing (10) provided on the water delivery line (6), the water delivery line (6) is rendered leak-proof and is prevented from being deformed.

Claims (5)

  1. A cooking device (1) comprising a cooking cavity (2) wherein the foodstuffs to be cooked are placed; a body (3) in the form of a box with the front side open which surrounds the cooking cavity (2); a panel (4) which is disposed on the body (3); a steam generator (5) which is disposed on the body (3); a water tank (7) which is disposed on the body (3) and which enables water to be delivered to the steam generator (5) by means of a water delivery line (6); and an opening (8) which is arranged on the panel (4) and which provides access to the water tank (7), characterized by a lid (11) having a mouth portion (9) which provides the connection of the water delivery line (6) to the water tank (7), a housing (10) which clamps down the mouth portion (9), at least one channel (12) which is provided on the mouth portion (9) and at least one protrusion (13) which is provided on the housing (10) surface in contact with the mouth portion (9) so as to align with said at least one channel (12), wherein the protrusion (13) is adapted to be seated into the channel (12) so as to fix the housing (10) to the mouth portion (9).
  2. A cooking device (1) as in Claim 1, wherein the housing (10) is a conic housing (10).
  3. A cooking device (1) as in Claim 1, wherein the housing (10) has almost the same diameter as the mouth portion (9).
  4. A cooking device (1) as in any one of the above claims, wherein the lid (11) is positioned so as to almost completely cover the water tank (7).
  5. A cooking device (1) as in any one of the above claims, wherein a suction pump (14) provides the delivery of the water from the water tank (7) to the steam generator (5), a delivery pump (15) provides the delivery of the excess water in the steam generator (5) to the water tank (7), and a connection member (16) enables the water passing through the suction and delivery pumps (14, 15) to be delivered to the water delivery line (6).
