Abstract

本申请公开一种显示装置,通过在薄膜晶体管阵列基板远离第一基板的一侧设置反射层并在第一基板和薄膜晶体管阵列基板之间设置荧光层以提高显示装置对环境光的利用率和显示装置的NTSC色域,从而提高显示效果。

Description

显示装置 技术领域
本申请涉及显示技术领域,尤其涉及一种显示装置。
背景技术
目前,液晶显示器主要分为透射式、反射式以及半透射半反射式。其中,反射式液晶面板的优点是能利用外部光源、功耗相对较低且能运用于户外显示和穿戴设备中。
一般的反射式液晶器包含依次设置的反射层、阵列基板、液晶层、彩膜以及偏光片。环境光射入液晶显示器的显示面后,依次通过偏光片、彩膜以及液晶层、阵列基板后到达反射层,经过反射层反射后,反射出的光依次通过阵列基板、液晶层、彩膜以及偏光片后在反射式液晶器的显示面射出。一般的反射式液晶器存在对环境光利用率较低导致液晶器亮度不足的问题。传统方法是增大像素尺寸,降低彩膜厚度以增大反射率,然而增大像素尺寸会增加屏幕颗粒感,降低彩膜厚度会降低色域,影响反射式液晶器的显示效果。
技术问题
鉴于现有技术的不足,本申请提供一种显示装置,该显示装置对环境光的利用率高且能提高色域,具有良好的显示效果。
技术解决方案
一种显示装置,所述显示装置包括:
一薄膜晶体管阵列基板;
与所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板相对设置的第一基板;
一荧光层,所述荧光层位于所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板和所述第一基板之间,所述荧光层用于吸收紫外光以产生可见光;以及
一反射层,所述反射层设置于所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板远离所述第一基板的一侧;
所述荧光层为有机荧光层。
在上述显示装置中,所述显示装置还包括液晶层,所述荧光层位于所述液晶层和所述第一基板之间。
在上述显示装置中,所述显示装置还包括液晶层,所述荧光层位于所述液晶层和所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板之间。
在上述显示装置中,所述有机荧光层包括红色荧光单元、绿色荧光单元以及蓝色荧光单元。
在上述显示装置中,所述第一基板与所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板相对的表面上设置有公共电极。
在上述显示装置中,所述荧光层设置于所述第一基板上,所述公共电极位于所述荧光层和所述第一基板之间。
在上述显示装置中,所述荧光层设置于所述第一基板上,所述荧光层位于所述公共电极和所述第一基板之间。

本申请提供一种显示装置,通过在薄膜晶体管阵列基板远离第一基板的一侧设置反射层并在第一基板和薄膜晶体管阵列基板之间设置荧光层以提高显示装置对环境光的利用率和显示装置的NTSC色域,从而提高显示效果。

本发明的实施方式
下面将结合本申请实施例中的附图,对本申请实施例中的技术方案进行清楚、完整地描述。显然,所描述的实施例仅仅是本申请一部分实施例,而不是全部的实施例。基于本申请中的实施例,本领域技术人员在没有作出创造性劳动前提下所获得的所有其他实施例,都属于本申请保护的范围。
本申请提供一种显示装置,该显示装置包括:
一薄膜晶体管阵列基板;
与薄膜晶体管阵列基板相对设置的第一基板;
一荧光层,荧光层位于薄膜晶体管阵列基板和第一基板之间,荧光层用于吸收紫外光以产生可见光;以及
一反射层,反射层设置于薄膜晶体管阵列基板远离第一基板的一侧。
图1为普通有机红色颜料1(中文名:颜料红177,CAS号:4051-63-2)和红色有机荧光材料2(中文名:碱性红1,CAS号:989-38-8)在相同条件下,经相同环境光照射时反射不同波长反射光的反射率图(横坐标为波长,纵坐标为反射率)。其中,环境光经过红色有机荧光材料2经反射后,波长为620-670nm的红色可见光的反射率在1-1.8之间,且红色有机荧光材料2的反射率曲线上有明显的最大反射率峰,故利用红色有机荧光材料2作为彩色膜层有利于提高色纯度;而环境光经过普通有机红色颜料1经反射时,环境光中不同波长红色可见光的反射率均小于1。红色有机荧光材料2对环境光的利用率高于普通红色有机颜料1的利用率。普通有机红色颜料1和红色有机荧光材料2对环境光的利用率不同的主要原因在于:红色有机荧光材料2被环境光中的紫外光激发产生部分红色可见光,而普通有机红色颜料1经环境光照射时只能吸收红光以外的光而反射出红光。
上述显示装置为反射式显示器,其光源为环境光。通过在薄膜晶体管阵列基板远离第一基板的一侧设置反射层以将射入到反射层上的环境光反射至荧光层,环境光中的紫外光经过荧光层时激发荧光材料产生可见光;传统液晶显示器的彩色滤膜采用普通有机颜料,环境光经过彩色滤膜时只能透过对应颜色的可见光而吸收其他颜色的可见光。相对于传统反射式液晶显示器,本申请显示装置对环境光的利用率提高。
如图2所示,其为本申请第一实施例显示装置10的结构示意图,显示装置10包括:
薄膜晶体管阵列基板11;
与薄膜晶体管阵列基板11相对设置的第一基板12;
一荧光层15,荧光层15位于薄膜晶体管阵列基板11和第一基板12之间,荧光层15用于吸收紫外光以产生可见光;
一反射层13,反射层13设置于薄膜晶体管阵列基板11远离第一基板12的一侧;
一公共电极14,公共电极14设置于第一基板12与薄膜晶体管阵列基板11相对的表面上;
一偏光层16,偏光层16设置于第一基板12远离薄膜晶体管阵列基板11的表面上;
一液晶层17,液晶层17位于公共电极14和荧光层15之间;
黑色矩阵18,黑色矩阵18按阵列排布的方式设置在公共电极14上;
隔垫物19,隔垫物19位于公共电极14和荧光层15之间。
在本实施例中,薄膜晶体管阵列基板11由基板和设置于基板上的薄膜晶体管阵列组成,薄膜晶体管作为开关元件以控制液晶层17中液晶的旋转,从而控制显示装置10的显示状态。
在本实施例中,第一基板12为透明基板,例如玻璃基板,此玻璃基板的厚度为0.3-0.7毫米。
在本实施例中,反射层13的作用是将射入到反射层13上的光线反射至荧光层15。反射层13设置在薄膜晶体管阵列基板11的外侧以保证射入至显示装置中的环境光均能反射至荧光层,从而提高环境光的利用效率。反射层13为金属层,金属层的制备材料为银或铝中的任意一种。在其他实施例中,反射层13也可以为金属层和氧化铟锡(Indium Tin Oxide,ITO)层的组合层。
在本实施例中,公共电极14设置于第一基板12与薄膜晶体管阵列基板11相对的表面上。公共电极14与薄膜晶体管阵列基板11上的像素电极形成垂直电场以控制液晶层17的偏转从而控制显示装置10的显示状态。公共电极14的制备材料为ITO,其厚度为0.1微米-0.16微米。
在本实施例中,荧光层15用于提高显示装置10对环境光的利用率。荧光层15设置于薄膜晶体管阵列基板11上且位于液晶层17和薄膜晶体管阵列基板11之间。荧光层15为有机荧光层,在其他实施例中,荧光层15也可以为无机荧光层。荧光层15为有机荧光层时,有机荧光层15包括红色荧光单元151、绿色荧光单元152以及蓝色荧光单元153,有机荧光层15依次按照红色荧光单元151、绿色荧光单元152以及蓝色荧光单元153的顺序重复设置于薄膜晶体管阵列基板11上。其中,红色荧光单元151的制备材料包括有机红色荧光材料,例如罗丹明B(CAS号:81-88-9)和碱性红1(CAS号:989-38-8);蓝色荧光单元153的制备材料包括有机蓝色荧光材料,例如7-(二乙氨基)香豆素(CAS号:20571-42-0)和还原亚甲基蓝(CAS号:613-11-6);绿色荧光单元152的制备材料包括有机绿色荧光材料,例如 Lumogen 亮绿(CAS号:47375-13-3 )和溶剂绿7(CAS号: 6358-69-6)。
偏光层16的作用是使经过偏光层16的光变成偏振光,在本实施例中,偏光层16为透射式偏光片。
黑色矩阵18位于薄膜晶体管阵列基板11的薄膜晶体管的上方以防止光线照射到薄膜晶体管的有源层上而产生漏电。黑色矩阵18的制备材料包括但不限于黑色金属(例如铬)、丙烯酸酯与黑色颜料的混合物,黑色矩阵18厚度为1微米-1.5微米。
隔垫物19为柱状,其作用是控制液晶层17的厚度。隔垫物19的制备材料包括但不限于聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯。隔垫物19的高度为3微米-4微米。
环境光入射本实施例显示装置10时,环境光依次经过偏光层16、第一基板12、公共电极14、液晶层17、荧光层15以及薄膜晶体管阵列基板11到达反射层13,经反射层13反射后反射至荧光层15,反射至荧光层15的环境光经过荧光层15时,环境光中的紫外光激发荧光层的荧光材料产生可见光,具体为,经过红色荧光单元151的紫外光使有机红色荧光材料被激发产生红色可见光,经过绿色荧光单元152的紫外光使有机绿色荧光材料被激发产生绿色可见光,经过蓝色荧光单元153的紫外光使有机蓝色荧光材料被激发产生蓝色可见光,同时,环境光中的可见光经过红色荧光单元151时透射出红色可见光,经过绿色荧光单元152和蓝色荧光单元153的环境光中的可见光分别透射出绿色可见光和蓝色可见光,故从荧光层15射出的可见光包括环境光中紫外光激发荧光层产生的可见光以及射入荧光层15的环境光中的可见光,从荧光层15射出的可见光依次经过液晶层17、公共电极14、第一基板12以及偏光层16后射出。由此可知,本实施例的显示装置能提高环境光的利用率,从而提高显示效果。
图3为相同条件下,本实施例显示装置(图3中的本案设计)、现有产品1和现有产品2的NTSC色域对比图,现有产品1和现有产品2均是采用普通有机颜料制成的彩色滤膜,不同之处在于,现有产品1的彩色滤膜的厚度大于现有产品2的彩色滤膜的厚度,本实施例显示装置采用有机荧光材料制成荧光层而现有产品1采用普通有机颜料制成的彩色滤膜。其中,NTSC色域图的横坐标和纵坐标均为刺激值,色域由一条直线和曲线组成,曲线上标注光波波长,单位为nm。由图3可知,本实施例显示装置的NTSC的色域面积最大,其NTSC色域为60-80%,而现有产品1和现有产品2的NTSC色域为20-40%且现有产品1的色域大于现有产品2的色域,故本实施例显示装置能提高色域从而提高显示效果。相对于现有产品1和现有产品2,本实施例显示装置能够提高色域的原因在于,本实施例显示装置采用荧光层以保证环境光的利用率得到提高,使得荧光层的厚度可以被增加从而提高色彩饱和度和NTSC色域,而采用普通有机颜料制成的彩色滤膜厚度变厚不利于显示装置对环境光的利用。
图4为本申请第二实施例的显示装置20,该显示装置20包括:
薄膜晶体管阵列基板21;
与薄膜晶体管阵列基板21相对设置的第一基板22;
一荧光层25,荧光层25位于薄膜晶体管阵列基板21和第一基板22之间,荧光层25用于吸收紫外光以产生可见光;
一反射层23,反射层23设置于薄膜晶体管阵列基板21远离第一基板22的一侧;
一公共电极24,公共电极24设置于第一基板22与薄膜晶体管阵列基板21相对的表面上;
一偏光层26,偏光层26设置于第一基板22远离薄膜晶体管阵列基板21的表面上,
一液晶层27,液晶层27位于薄膜晶体管阵列基板21和荧光层25之间;
黑色矩阵28,黑色矩阵28按阵列排布的方式设置在公共电极24上;
隔垫物29,隔垫物29位于薄膜晶体管阵列基板21和荧光层25之间。
在本实施例中,荧光层25设置于第一基板22上且公共电极24位于荧光层25和第一基板22之间。荧光层25为有机荧光层,有机荧光层依次按照红色荧光单元251、绿色荧光单元252以及蓝色荧光单元253的顺序重复设置于第一基板22上的公共电极24上,相邻的荧光单元之间设置有黑色矩阵29。相对于第一实施例,将荧光层25设置于第一基板22上会增大环境光在荧光层25表面的反射而降低显示装置显示图像时的对比度。
图5为本申请第三实施例的显示装置30,该显示装置30包括:
薄膜晶体管阵列基板31;
与薄膜晶体管阵列基板31相对设置的第一基板32;
一荧光层35,荧光层35位于薄膜晶体管阵列基板31和第一基板32之间,荧光层35用于吸收紫外光以产生可见光;
一反射层33,反射层33设置于薄膜晶体管阵列基板31远离第一基板32的一侧;
一公共电极34,公共电极34设置于第一基板32与薄膜晶体管阵列基板31相对的表面上且荧光层35位于公共电极34和第一基板32之间;
一偏光层36,偏光层36设置于第一基板32远离薄膜晶体管阵列基板31的表面上;
一液晶层37,液晶层37位于公共电极34和薄膜晶体管阵列基板31之间;
黑色矩阵38,黑色矩阵38按阵列排布的方式设置在薄膜晶体管阵列基板31与第一基板32相对的表面上;
隔垫物39,隔垫物39位于公共电极34和薄膜晶体管阵列基板31之间。
本实施例与第二实施例基本相似,不同之处在于,在本实施例中,荧光层35设置于第一基板32与薄膜晶体管阵列基板31相对的表面上,荧光层35位于公共电极34和第一基板32之间,荧光层35为有机荧光层,有机荧光层依次按照红色荧光单元351、绿色荧光单元352以及蓝色荧光单元353的顺序重复设置于第一基板32上;另外,黑色矩阵38设置于薄膜晶体管阵列基板31上。相对于第二实施例将黑色矩阵28设置于第一基板22上的公共电极24上,本实施例有利于简化显示装置30的制造工艺。

  1. 一种显示装置,其中,所述显示装置包括:
    一薄膜晶体管阵列基板;
    与所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板相对设置的第一基板;
    一荧光层,所述荧光层位于所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板和所述第一基板之间,所述荧光层用于吸收紫外光以产生可见光;以及
    一反射层,所述反射层设置于所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板远离所述第一基板的一侧;
    所述荧光层为有机荧光层。
  2. 根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,所述显示装置还包括液晶层,所述荧光层位于所述液晶层和所述第一基板之间。
  3. 根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,所述显示装置还包括液晶层,所述荧光层位于所述液晶层和所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板之间。
  4. 根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,所述有机荧光层包括红色荧光单元、绿色荧光单元以及蓝色荧光单元。
  5. 根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,所述第一基板与所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板相对的表面上设置有公共电极。
  6. 根据权利要求5所述的显示装置,其中,所述荧光层设置于所述第一基板上,所述公共电极位于所述荧光层和所述第一基板之间。
  7. 根据权利要求5所述的显示装置,其中,所述荧光层设置于所述第一基板上,所述荧光层位于所述公共电极和所述第一基板之间。
  8. 根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,所述第一基板为透明基板。
  9. 根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,所述反射层为金属层。
  10. 根据权利要求9所述的显示装置,其中,所述金属层的制备材料为银或铝中的任意一种。
  11. 一种显示装置,其中,所述显示装置包括:
    一薄膜晶体管阵列基板;
    与所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板相对设置的第一基板;
    一荧光层,所述荧光层位于所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板和所述第一基板之间,所述荧光层用于吸收紫外光以产生可见光;以及
    一反射层,所述反射层设置于所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板远离所述第一基板的一侧。
  12. 根据权利要求11所述的显示装置,其中,所述显示装置还包括液晶层,所述荧光层位于所述液晶层和所述第一基板之间。
  13. 根据权利要求11所述的显示装置,其中,所述显示装置还包括液晶层,所述荧光层位于所述液晶层和所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板之间。
  14. 根据权利要求11所述的显示装置,其中,所述第一基板与所述薄膜晶体管阵列基板相对的表面上设置有公共电极。
  15. 根据权利要求14所述的显示装置,其中,所述荧光层设置于所述第一基板上,所述公共电极位于所述荧光层和所述第一基板之间。
  16. 根据权利要求14所述的显示装置,其中,所述荧光层设置于所述第一基板上,所述荧光层位于所述公共电极和所述第一基板之间。
