Deckelbaugruppe für ein Gehäuse einer Bateriezelle
Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Deckelbaugruppe, ein Verfahren zum Herstellen einer Deckelbaugruppe und eine Verwendung derselben gemäß dem Oberbegriff der unabhängigen Patentansprüche. Stand der Technik
Batteriezellen, beispielsweise Lithium-Ionen-Batteriezellen, weisen ein Gehäuse auf, in dem eine erste Elektrode, eine zweite Elektrode, ein erstes Terminal und ein zweites Terminal aufgenommen sind. Die erste Elektrode ist elektrisch mit dem ersten Terminal verbunden, welches einen Pluspol der Batteriezelle bildet, wohingegen die zweite Elektrode elektrisch mit dem zweiten Terminal elektrisch verbunden ist, welches einen Minuspol der Batteriezelle bildet. Weiterhin ist ein Deckel für das Gehäuse vorgesehen, welcher das Gehäuse von oben abschließt. Diesbezüglich ist aus der EP 2 2228 853 Bl bekannt, dass sich ein erstes Terminal durch ein erstes Anschlussloch und ein zweites Terminal durch ein zweites Anschlussloch in einen Deckel erstreckt. Eine Volumeneffizienz
derartiger Batteriezellen ist von einem dabei resultierenden Überstand des ersten und des zweiten Terminals über ein Gehäuse der Batteriezellen hinaus beeinträchtigt. Dieser Überstand der Terminals beträgt gemäß aktueller
Herstellungstechnik 6,5 mm. Eine dabei resultierende Energiedichte der
Batteriezellen ist beispielsweise nicht größer als 250 Wh/I.
Offenbarung der Erfindung
Erfindungsgemäß wird eine Deckelbaugruppe für ein Gehäuse für eine
Batteriezelle bereitgestellt, die das Gehäuse von oben abschließt und elektrisch isoliert. Die erfindungsgemäße Deckelbaugruppe umfasst einen Deckel, welcher mit einer ersten und einer zweiten Deckelöffnung ausgebildet ist, und ein erstes und ein zweites Terminal. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass das erste Terminal in die erste
Deckelöffnung und das zweite Terminal in die zweite Deckelöffnung
flächenbündig und formschlüssig eingebettet ist.
Der besondere Vorteil bei dieser erfindungsgemäßen Deckelbaugruppe besteht darin, dass ein Bauraum der Batteriezelle durch die flächenbündig und formschlüssig eingebetteten Terminals minimiert werden kann. Auf diese Weise kann eine Energiedichte der Batteriezelle durch einen Einsatz der
erfindungsgemäßen Deckelbaugruppe vergrößert werden. Darüber hinaus können beispielsweise Herstellungskosten und -Zeiten dieser
erfindungsgemäßen Deckelbaugruppe verringert werden, da weder ein Klebstoff
noch ein Dichtungselement bei einem Zusammenbau der Batteriezelle benötigt werden.
Weitere vorteilhafte Ausführungsformen der vorliegenden Erfindung sind
Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.
Weist der Deckel einen Kunststoff, beispielsweise Polyethylen (PE) auf, ist eine gute elektrische Isolation im Deckel vorgesehen. Gemäß einem weiteren Aspekt der Erfindung kann zumindest eines der
Terminals einen Verbundwerkstoff aufweisen, welcher zumindest zwei mit einander verbundene Materialien umfasst. Dabei ist zumindest eines der Materialien ein Kunststoff. Der Kunststoff kann beispielsweise eine Mischung von Polymeren aufweisen, vorzugsweise eine Mischung aus Polypropylen (PP) und Polystyrol (PS), weiter vorzugsweise eine Mischung aus einem Polyamid (PA),
Polycarbonat (PC) und Acrylnitril- Butadien-Styrol (ABS), insbesondere eine Mischung aus Polyphenylensulfid (PPS) und Poly (oxy-l,4-phenylsulfonyl-l,4- phenyl). Alternativ können als Polymere auch Polyvinylchlorid (PVC),
Polyethylenglycol (PEG) oder eine Mischung daraus verwendet werden.
Darüber hinaus ist es von Vorteil, wenn der Kunststoff zumindest ein Additiv, insbesondere ein elektrisch leitfähiges Additiv aufweist. Das Additiv kann beispielsweise einem Metall entsprechen, beispielsweise Silber, Kupfer, Eisen, Stahl, Zink oder Aluminium. Alternativ oder ergänzend ist auch eine
Metalllegierung als ein elektrisch leitfähiges Additiv möglich, vorzugsweise eine Metalllegierung aus Zink und Zinn, welche eine Schmelztemperatur von 200 °C
aufweist. Der besondere Vorteil besteht darin, dass eine gute
Materialfließfähigkeit in einem Spritzgießprozess durch eine niedrige Viskosität gewährleistet wird. Von besonderem Vorteil ist es, wenn das elektrisch leitfähige Additiv Metallfasern mit einer Länge von 8 bis 12 mm und einer Breite von 8 bis 12 pm beinhaltet. Die Metallfasern werden dem Kunststoff zugemischt und für die Terminals
eingesetzt. Der besondere Vorteil dabei ist, dass sich ein niedriger Widerstand durch einen Einsatz der Metallfasern in den Terminals ergibt. Dadurch entsteht eine hohe elektrische Leitfähigkeit der Terminals.
Eine derartige Mischung (englisch: compound) aus einem Kunststoff und einem Metall oder Metallfasern wird auch als Kunststoff- Metall- Hybrid bezeichnet, wobei Bauteile aus dem Kunststoff beispielsweise durch ein Spritzgussverfahren hergestellt werden. Der besondere Vorteil besteht darin, dass ein geringes
Gewicht und eine Reduktion der Herstellungskosten durch eine Verwendung von Kunststoff- Metall- Hybriden erzielt werden können.
Es wird gemäß eines weiteren Aspekts der vorliegenden Erfindung
vorgeschlagen, dass eines der Terminals einen Kunststoff in Form eines elektrisch selbstleitenden Polymers (englisch: Intrinsically /Inherently Conductive Polymers ICP) aufweist, wobei die ICPs beispielsweise durch konjugierte
Mehrfachbindungen ihre Leitfähigkeit erreichen können. Der Vorteil besteht darin, dass ICPs besonders für eine Deckelbaugruppe der Batteriezellen mit einer Spannung zwischen 2,5 und 4,2 V geeignet sind. Die derartigen Batteriezellen
lassen sich vorteilhaft für ein Elektrofahrzeug, ein Hybridfahrzeug oder für ein Plug-In-Hybridfahrzeug einsetzen.
Ein Terminal, welches einen Kunststoff aufweist, wird als ein Spritzgussteil vorgefertigt.
Gemäß einer anderen Ausführungsform kann zumindest eines der Terminals ein Metall aufweisen, vorzugsweise Kupfer, weiter vorzugsweise Aluminium, insbesondere Nickel. Das Metall verfügt vorzugsweise über vergleichbare elektrisch leitende Eigenschaften wie das Kunststoff-Metall-Hybrid und das elektrisch selbstleitende Polymer.
Gemäß einem anderen Aspekt der vorliegenden Erfindung wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Batteriezelle vorgeschlagen. Während des Verfahrens werden ein erstes Terminal und ein zweites Terminal bereitgestellt. Die Terminals werden zunächst erwärmt, vorzugsweise an deren Randbereiche. Eine erste
Deckelöffnung und eine zweite Deckelöffnung werden vorzugsweise zugleich erwärmt. Anschließend wird das erste Terminal in die erste Deckelöffnung und das zweite Terminal in die zweite Deckelöffnung flächenbündig und
formschlüssig eingebettet. Darauf folgend werden die Terminals mitsamt den Deckelöffnungen abgekühlt, vorzugsweise mittels eine Luftkühlung. Der besondere Vorteil dabei ist, dass die Terminals und die Deckelöffnungen miteinander stoffschlüssig befestigt werden können.
Kurze Beschreibung der Zeichnungen
In der Zeichnung ist eine vorteilhafte Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung dargestellt und wird anhand der nachfolgenden Figurenbeschreibung näher erläutert. Fig. 1 zeigt eine schematische Darstellung einer Deckelbaugruppe gemäß einer erfindungsgemäßen Ausführungsform.
Ausführungsformen der Erfindung
In Fig. 1 ist eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform einer erfindungsgemäßen
Deckelbaugruppe 10, schematisch dargestellt.
Die Deckelbaugruppe 10 umfasst beispielsweise einen Deckel 12, welcher eine erste Deckelöffnung 120 und eine zweite Deckelöffnung 122 aufweist, ein erstes Terminal 14 und ein zweites Terminal 16. Das erste Terminal 14 und das zweite Terminal 16 sind beispielhaft in einer flachen Form dargestellt. Eine Länge, eine Breite und eine Höhe des ersten Terminals 14 und des zweiten Terminals 16 sind bevorzugt mit Maßen der ersten Deckelöffnung 120 und der zweiten Deckelöffnung 122 identisch. Die erste Deckelöffnung 120 ist vorzugsweise mit der zweiten Deckelöffnung 122 identisch.
Durch eine Übereinstimmung der Deckelöffnungen 120, 122 wird das Bereitstellen des Deckels 12 vereinfacht. Der Deckel 12 weist beispielsweis einen Kunststoff auf, welcher elektrisch isolierend ist.
Gemäß einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung umfasst zumindest eines der Terminals 14, 16 einen Verbundwerkstoff, welcher zumindest zwei miteinander gemischte Materialien aufweist. Dabei umfasst der Verbundwerkstoff zumindest einen Kunststoff. Der Kunststoff kann als Mischung von verschiedenen Polymeren vorliegen, welche nicht elektrisch leitend sind. Um eine elektrische Leitfähigkeit des
Verbundwerkstoffes zu gewährleisten, wird der Kunststoff mit einem elektrisch leitfähigen Additiv vermischt. Es ist dabei vorteilhaft, wenn das elektrisch leitfähige Additiv ein Metall aufweist. Der Gewichtsanteil des Metalls kann dabei beispielsweise von 30 Gew.-% bis 60 Gew.-%, insbesondere 40 Gew.-%, betragen. Dabei kann die Vermischung zwischen dem Kunststoff und dem Metall beispielsweise während eines
Spritzgießprozesses ausgeführt werden. Alternativ kann das elektrisch leitfähige Additiv eine Metalllegierung aus Zink und Zinn aufweisen, welche eine
Schmelztemperatur von bis zu 200 °C vorweist. Es ist besonders vorteilhaft an einer derartigen Metalllegierung, dass sich aufgrund ihrer niedrigen Schmelztemperatur eine gute Materialfließfähigkeit im Spritzgießprozess vorliegt.
Alternativ oder ergänzend können dem elektrisch nicht leitfähigen Kunststoff
Metallfasern zugemischt werden. Die Zumischung kann beispielsweise durch einen Spritzgussprozess oder einen Schweißprozess realisiert werden. Vorzugsweise werden die Metallfasern mittels eines Walzprozesses hergestellt. Weiter vorzugsweise umfassen die Metallfasern eine Mischung von Metallen, beispielsweise eine Mischung aus Eisen, Aluminium, Kupfer, Blei oder deren Legierungen. Vorteilhaft dabei ist, dass eine bessere Festigkeit und elektrische Leitfähigkeit des Verbundwerkstoffs durch eine Zugabe von Metallfasern erzielt wird.
Gemäß einer weiteren Ausführungsform umfasst eines der Terminals 14, 16 zumindest ein elektrisch selbstleitendes Polymer. Die elektrische Leitfähigkeit des Polymers beruht auf ungesättigten, konjugierten Bindungen. Vorteilhaft dabei ist, dass keine zusätzlichen Additive zugegeben werden müssen. Dadurch wird der
Herstellungsprozess einer derartigen Deckelbaugruppe einfacher und zeitgünstiger.
Die Terminals 14, 16, worin ein Kunststoff enthalten ist, werden als ein Spritzgussteil vorgefertigt.
Gemäß einer anderen Ausführungsform weist eines der Terminals 14, 16 ein Metall auf, welches beispielsweise eine genau so gute elektrische Leitfähigkeit wie der
Verbundwerkstoff umfasst. Derartige Terminals 14, 16 werden vorzugsweise mittels einer Laserstrahlung an deren Randbereiche erwärmt, vorzugsweise unterhalb einer materialspezifischen Schmelztemperatur. Simultan oder nachfolgend werden die Deckelöffnungen 120, 122 beispielsweise in einem temperaturgeregelten Umluftofen unterhalb deren materialspezifischen Schmelztemperatur erwärmt. Darauf folgend werden die Terminals 14, 16 in die entsprechenden Deckelöffnungen 120, 122 flächenbündig und formschlüssig eingebettet. Die Deckelöffnungen 120, 122 mitsamt den Terminals 14, 16 werden beispielsweise durch eine Luftkühlung abgekühlt, so dass die Terminals 14, 16 in die Deckelöffnungen 120, 122 stoffschlüssig eingebettet sind.
Liegt ein Kunststoff bei den Terminals 14, 16 vor, werden die Terminals mitsamt den Deckelöffnungen bzw. dem Deckel beispielsweise in einem
temperaturgeregelten Umluftofen unterhalb deren jeweiligen materialspezifischen Schmelztemperatur erwärmt. Anschließend wird die Deckelbaugruppe mit den
Terminals 14, 16 und den Deckelöffnungen 120, 122 in der Luft gekühlt, bis die Terminals 14, 16 in die Deckelöffnungen 120, 122 stoffschlüssig eingebettet sind.
Die beschriebene Deckelbaugruppe eignet sich zur Verwendung in einem Gehäuse einer Batteriezelle, insbesondere einer Lithium-Ionen-Batterie, welche in einem
Elektrofahrzeug, in einem Hybridfahrzeug oder in einem Plug-In-Hybridfahrzeug angewendet wird.
Claims
Ansprüche
1. Deckelbaugruppe für ein Gehäuse einer Batteriezelle, insbesondere einer
Lithium-Ionen-Batteriezelle, mit:
einem Deckel (12), umfassend eine erste Deckelöffnung (120) und eine zweite Deckelöffnung (122);
einem ersten Terminal (14) und einem zweiten Terminal (16);
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das erste Terminal (14) in die erste Deckelöffnung (120) und das zweite Terminal (16) in die zweite Deckelöffnung (122)
flächenbündig und formschlüssig eingebettet ist.
2. Deckelbaugruppe gemäß Anspruch 1 , wobei der Deckel (12) einen Kunststoff aufweist, insbesondere Polyethylen (PE).
3. Deckelbaugruppe gemäß einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei
zumindest eines der Terminals (14, 16) einen Verbundwerkstoff aufweist, umfassend zumindest zwei mit einander verbundene Materialien, wobei zumindest eines der Materialien ein Kunststoff ist.
4. Deckelbaugruppe gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 oder 2, wobei zumindest eines der Terminals (14, 16) ein Metall aufweist, vorzugsweise Kupfer, weiter vorzugsweise Aluminium, insbesondere Nickel.
5. Deckelbaugruppe gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 oder 2, wobei zumindest eines der Terminals (14, 16) einen elektrisch leitfähigen Kunststoff aufweist,
vorzugsweise Polypyrrol oder Polythiophen, weiter vorzugsweise
Polyethylendioxythiophen oder Polystyrolsulfonsäure, insbesondere Polyanilin oder Polyacetylen.
6. Deckelbaugruppe gemäß Anspruch 3, wobei der Kunststoff eine Mischung von
Polymeren aufweist, vorzugsweise eine Mischung aus Polypropylen (PP) und Polystyrol (PS), weiter vorzugsweise eine Mischung aus einem Polyamid (PA), Polycarbonat (PC) und Acrylnitril-Butadien-Styrol (ABS), insbesondere eine Mischung aus Polyphenylensulfid (PPS) und Poly(oxy-1 ,4-phenylsulfonyl-1 ,4- phenyl).
7. Deckelbaugruppe gemäß einem der Ansprüche 3 oder 6, wobei der Kunststoff zumindest ein Additiv aufweist, vorzugsweise ein Metall, insbesondere
Aluminium.
8. Deckelbaugruppe gemäß Anspruch 7, wobei das Additiv ein Metall mit einer Schmelztemperatur niedriger oder gleich 200 °C ist.
9. Deckelbaugruppe gemäß Anspruch 7, wobei das Additiv Metallfasern aufweist, vorzugsweise Metallfasern mit einer Länge von 8 bis 12 mm und einer Breite von 8 bis 12 pm.
10. Deckelbaugruppe gemäß Anspruch 7, wobei das Additiv eine Mischung von leitfähigen Additiven aufweist, insbesondere eine Mischung aus einem Metall und Metallfasern.
1 1. Deckelbaugruppe gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3 oder 5 bis 10, wobei zumindest eines der Terminals (14, 16) ein Spritzgussteil ist.
12. Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Deckelbaugruppe gemäß einem der
vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Verfahren aufweist:
Bereitstellen eines ersten Terminals (14) und eines zweiten Terminals (16); Erwärmen der Terminals (14, 16);
Erwärmen einer ersten Deckelöffnung (120) und einer zweiten Deckelöffnung
(122);
Einbetten des ersten Terminals (14) in die erste Deckelöffnung (120) und des zweiten Terminals (16) in die zweite Deckelöffnung (122) flächenbündig und formschlüssig;
Abkühlen der Terminals (14, 16) und der Deckelöffnungen (120, 122). 13. Verwendung einer Deckelbaugruppe gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 10 in einer Batteriezelle, insbesondere einer Lithium-Ionen-Batteriezelle, in einem Elektrofahrzeug, in einem Hybridfahrzeug oder in einem Plug-In-Hybridfahrzeug.
