Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a roller-shutter with orientable and spaceable slats, i.e. comprising the possibility of the mutual compacting/decompacting of the slats, that can be installed on relevant guides or on standard guides through the addition of suitable profiles .
  • roller-shutter intended to close doors or windows, or patio-type doors, allowing the opening at an adjustable angle of the slats when the shutter is lowered, and the compacting/decompacting thereof, so that, when the slats are either oriented or also when they are decompacted, ventilation and the passage of light from the outside can be obtained.
  • the present invention can be applied in the field of the industry that manufactures, doors and windows, fastenings, shutters and blinds both in the domestic context and more generally in the civil and industrial sector .
  • roller-shutters comprising a plurality of slats constrained to each other along the longitudinal edges with mutual angular freedom, which are slidable on lateral guides through rolling with respect to a roller located above in a relevant compartment, said roller being activatable manually or in a motorised way, so as to bring the slats from a lowered position to a raised position or vice versa during the closing and opening of the door or window .
  • Some latest generation shutters envisage that as well as sliding along the guides the slats are also provided with the characteristic of being able to be oriented to allow as required the passage of air and/or light with the shutter lowered, where the orientation of the slats is entrusted to a mechanical device kinematically connected to a source of motion, i.e. to a system that transmits mechanical rotary motion from one slat to another.
  • the slats are also provided with a compacting/decompacting function through devices that can distance or near the longitudinal edges of the slats .
  • roller-shutters with orientable slats include the one disclosed in document EP3221544 concerning a roller-shutter with orientable slats that can also be installed on standard guides which, with respect to traditional solutions, offers the dual advantage of also being able to be installed on existing guides and using mechanical means that allow the orientability of the slats that comprise the shutter through means of the concealed type, obviating the aesthetic problems of traditional solutions which in the slat orientation steps placed the movement mechanism in view, making the solution more appreciable by the clientele for whom the product is intended.
  • first components or supports each of which can be inserted on each of the ends of each slat, for a total of two specular supports for each slat, where each support is provided with a pin turned in operation towards a respective guide and a groove in which a peg operates associable with a chain link element ;
  • each chain link component is provided with a slot and a peg adapted to be inserted in said groove of the supports;
  • This conception envisages that when the shutter is raised in any intermediate position, the slats are all arranged in the closed position, and in this step the pin of the support crosses the slot staying in the highest position with respect to it, and simultaneously the peg of the chain remains inserted in the lower end of the groove of the support .
  • the advantageous result of this configuration relates to the fact that the mechanical members that determine the angular displacement of the slats are kept concealed in the respective guides, therefore none of the mechanical members is visible from the outside, to the advantage of the final aesthetic effect and also to the advantage of the security aspect .
  • Solutions are also known in the state of the art such as the one described in FR1422784 or in EP3205809 which also envisage the slat compacting and decompacting function, for which a sorting component is used which makes the motor perform the winding of the shutter into the shutter box subject to the decompacting of the slats and the unwinding of the shutter until complete compacting, or that of orienting the slats.
  • said switching element which is also bulky, anti-aesthetic and unreliable, allows a pin of the first orientable slat arranged higher up, when it is in the sorting zone, to be brought to follow a compulsory pathway which in fact makes such slat rotate.
  • the other slats rotate as a result, being connected to this first orientable slat by the rods .
  • This traditional switching element however presents some drawbacks including the fact that it is very bulky, therefore it remains at least partially visible outside the guide compromising the aesthetics of the item, and is also very complex as it is provided with numerous components and therefore unreliable because of the mutual wear of such components.
  • the present invention sets out to provide a roller- shutter of the type with orientable and spaceable slats, i.e. that can be compacted/decompacted, able to create a condition that allows the drawbacks highlighted above to be eliminated or at least reduced.
  • the invention sets out in particular to provide a roller-shutter of the type with orientable and spaceable slats in which the function of orienting the slats is obtained by a mechanism that acts on one of the slats fixed at the top, i.e. of the non-orientable type, making such function simpler and safer, while a sorting component is used.
  • said sorting component allows the motor to command the compacting and decompacting function of the slats or the orientation function, as the same sorting component is associated with a pin which under certain operating conditions is actually brought to make one of the slats fixed at the top stick and therefore not to make the slat with which it is associated rotate as instead happens in the solution described in the state of the art.
  • the roller-shutter according to the invention makes use of a sorting system that acts as mentioned on one of the slats fixed at the top, i.e. those that do not have to be oriented as they would otherwise rotate in the shutter box, and has the aim of making the mechanism stick which, therefore, allows the shutter to remain hanging with the slats in the decompacted mode.
  • figure 1 represents a schematic and perspective exploded view of the components used according to the invention, where the central slats have been taken away for simplification purposes, and just two of them are shown;
  • FIGS. 2, 3 and 4 illustrate schematic views highlighting a sorting device according to the invention that determines two different operating arrangements of the shutter
  • figure 5 represents a schematic view of a first angle of a shutter (with central slats taken away for simplification purposes, and just two of them are shown) with the slats in the decompacted position, i.e. mutually distanced, associated with the switching element;
  • figure 6 is a schematic view of a second angle of a shutter (with central slats taken away for simplification purposes, and just two of them are shown) with the slats in the decompacted position, i.e. mutually distanced, associated with the switching element;
  • figure 7 is a view according to a first angle of the special chain element for supporting the pin for the sorting of the winding and unwinding or the orientation functions;
  • figure 8 illustrates an exploded view according to a first angle of the special chain element for supporting the pin for the sorting of the winding and unwinding or the orientation functions
  • figure 9 is a view from a second angle of the special chain element for supporting the pin for the sorting of the winding and unwinding or the orientation functions;
  • figure 10 illustrates an exploded view from a second angle of the special chain element for supporting the pin for the sorting of the winding and unwinding or the orientation functions
  • figure 11 represents a view of a shutter according to the invention (with central slats taken away for simplification purposes, and just two of them are shown) with the slats in the decompacted position, i.e. mutually distanced;
  • figure 12 represents a view of a shutter according to the invention (with central slats taken away for simplification purposes, and just two are shown) with the slats in the compacted position, i.e. mutually near and in contact;
  • figure 13 illustrates a sequence of three steps in which the pin intercepts the switching element.
  • the reference number 20 generally indicates a roller-shutter of the type with orientable and spaceable slats, which are represented with central slats taken away for simplification purposes, and only two of which are represented, in the sense that there are actually many more central slats.
  • the shutter 20 can be installed on relevant vertical guides 21, of which only one of the two is shown, and is substantially comprised of a plurality of horizontal slats 22 windable into a roll, the first of which is indicated with 22' and corresponds to the first non-orientable one above the orientable slats and dragged by any other slats above it being wound onto its own rotation shaft located inside the shutter box activated by a respective motor.
  • each slat are associated with supports 25 that perform the function of respective closing plugs and support for the decompacting and rotation operations, for a total of two specular supports for each slat, which are fixed to the ends themselves for remaining constrained thereto, the first non-orientable one of which is indicated with 25' and can be associated with the slat 22' and the last one, also not orientable, indicated with 25" can be associated with the last non- orientable slat 23.
  • the support 25" is associated with its lower edge to a base component 26 for closing the base profile 24 at its ends.
  • the supports 25 and 25' of the slats 22 and 22' are connected to chain elements 27 and 27' respectively.
  • 27' indicates the special chain element that is located above the orientable support 25 located higher up, therefore being part of the non-orientable line and it is such a chain 27' that supports the pin 29 for the sorting of the winding and unwinding or orientation function.
  • the chain elements 27 and 27' represent the first connection means between the different slats 22 and 22' .
  • rods 28 represent the second connection means between the different slats 22 and 22', one of which, i.e. the rod indicated with 28', which is part of the line with non- orientable slats, is provided with a slot 30 crossed by a pin 29 which will be described below.
  • the rods 28 together with the chain elements 27 and supports 25 comprise means adapted for the angular displacement of the slats 22, in order to determine the orientation thereof .
  • Each rod component 28 and 28' further comprises a through slot 31 realised in the lower part thereof, located in opposition to a hole 32 realised in the upper part.
  • the various elements 28 and 28' are connected to each other by rivets 33 inserted between the slots 31 and the holes 32 with the function of constraining the various rods to each other, but without preventing the mutual sliding thereof within the width limits of the slots 31, essential for the correct compacting/decompacting of the slats.
  • each chain component 27 being part of the line of orientable slats, and 27' of the line of non- orientable slats, associated to the respective supports 25 and 25', is provided with a slot 34 realised in the lower part, and a pin 35 in the upper part, as can be seen in figures 7 to 10 which while representing the chain 27' also display a common characteristic to the chains 27.
  • Both the slots 31 of the rods 28 and 28' and the slots 34 of the chain links 27 and 27' have the function of keeping all the slats coupled with mutual freedom of distancing or nearing defined by the width of the slots 31 and 34, thus defining the compacting and decompacting limits of the slats, according to one of the aims of the invention .
  • the means which, according to the invention, make it possible to select whether to perform the compacting/decompacting or orientation of the slats and of their respective supports associated with each chain link, i.e. whether to near/distance or rotate the slats, respectively, are represented by a switching element 36 that is engaged by said pin 29 which, during the movement of the shutter determined by the rotation members in one direction or the other of the support shaft, can arrange the shutter itself in the desired mode.
  • said switching element 36 which is intercepted by the pin 29 in turn associated with the components of the first non-orientable slat, is realised by an elongate body attachable to the upper part of the guide 21, and provided with a hook-shaped relief 37, associated to a rocker element 38, hinged in proximity of a centre line thereof and located in opposition to a spring 39, retained internally of a blocking element 40, as shown in figure 4.
  • the pin 29 associated transversally to the components of the first non-orientable slat is arranged in the transverse direction internally of said switching element 36 and is obliged to follow internally thereof a rising pathway and another descending pathway, as happens in a set of railway points.
  • the pin 29 is displaced internally of the switching element 36 and, following a rising pathway and another descending pathway, it passes into the rocker element 38 to be conveyed into a first sector of the switching element 36 for the decompacting of the slats or the orientation thereof, based on the different rotation of the motor shaft where, if the orientation is to be commanded, the motor is made to retract until the pin remains constrained internally of the hook-shaped relief 37.
  • the pin 29 In the closing step, after passing the upper end of the rocker 38, the pin 29 is in the descent step and slides in a second sector of the switching device 36 externally of the rocker 38, which is brought in abutment with the lower part thereof against the relief 37 overcoming the opposition of the spring 39, becoming in fact deconstrained from the switching element 36, so as to allow lowering and consequent compaction of the slats.
  • the pin 29 can displace upwards or downwards internally of the switching element 36, commanded selectively by the rotation of the shaft imparted by the motor, following a rising pathway and another descending pathway.
  • the pin 29 inserted in the first chain link 27' of the non-orientable slats 22' moves relatively to the switching element 36, crossing the central slot 30 of the first rod 28' .
  • the orientation step i.e. when the pin 29 is constrained internally of the hook 37, the rods 28, 28' slide downwards and the slot 30 allows a sliding motion thereof.
  • step 1A during the raising of the shutter imparted by the motorised shaft as shown in step 1A, the slats decompact, terminating at the moment when the pin 29 reaches position 2A, and during this step the pin 29 penetrates between the rocker 38 and the hook-shaped relief 37, then to proceed along a first sector of the switching device 36 upwards until passing the rocker itself and obtaining the winding and raising of the shutter, while it is in the decompacted condition of the slats due to gravity; b) a second condition illustrated in steps IB, 2B, 3B and 4B during which the pin 29, while being raised upwards, penetrates between the rocker 38 and the hook-shaped relief 37, and while it is being slightly retracted, inverting the rotation direction of the motor, remains retained in the recess of the hook 37 itself, and it is exactly in this step that that the slats are free to orientate because they are already decompacted according to the width of the slots 31 and 34;
  • the first operating condition represented by steps 1A to 4A takes place during the first condition described above that takes place with the raising of the shutter during which the pin 29 penetrates between the rocker 38 and the hook-shaped relief 37, to proceed upwards until passing the rocker itself.
  • the switching element 36 conveys the pin 29 outside the rocker 38 into a different path from the one in which it remains retained by the hook 37 for sticking therein and causing the orientation of the slats, and therefore in this step the shutter can descend fully until the slats are completely compacted.
  • the whole system is able to operate both with shutters with internal winding and in the version with external winding.
