Description

TRANSPARENT COOKER WITH MODULAR AIR DUCT
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a transparent cooker designed to enable homogeneous cooking of food products and visibility of its interior during cooking.
Prior Art
The ovens cooking food products by transferring the heat generated in a separate section in the oven to the cooking section by means of a fan are referred to as convectional ovens. In convectional ovens, elements such as tray level, preheating temperature, and the temperature of the product to be cooked (the product being freshly prepared or taken from a refrigerator) are important for ideal cooking.
However, a limited window area is left in convectional ovens to see the cooking compartment. It is a major problem to view all sides of particularly the larger food products from this window area. The capability to view the cooking food products consists a significant criterion in buying decisions of customers. However, the producers intend to keep this area limited due to technical limitations.
Since a major portion of an oven is enclosed, illumination is required in its interior. Problems arise in examining the properties of cooking food products such as its roasting state, as this illumination cannot be performed homogeneously on all sides. In the present invention, a cooker is designed which is transparent on all sides.
State of the art European patent document no. EP1344986 mentions blowing air from perforated side walls. Moreover, the main subject of the patent is guide plates in a suction aperture. A protective grid and guide plates assembled on said grid are provided in the suction aperture of a fan. The plates placed symmetrically with respect to a PP axis, have a thickness of 1.5 mm and a width of 50 mm. The air arriving from the rear portion of the side walls is directed by the plates with an angle of a1, and the air arriving from the front portion is directed by the plates with an angle of a2. It is proposed that a homogeneous distribution would be obtained in the oven by means of this design.
State of the art international patent document no. WO2009107016 mentions an application of illumination from oven walls. In addition, it is noted that the oven walls may be transparent and coated with heater film.
State of the art international patent document no. WO9734490 mentions an application in which components in an oven, such as heating means, air circulating means, temperature control means, electronic control unit and the fan group are disposed in the oven door. It is noted that the oven door is designed to be assembled to a body by means of hinges, and that said door may be transparent. A reflector is provided on the oven door.
None of the state of the art documents include a solution similar to the one in the present invention.
Brief Description of the Invention
The aim of the present invention is to obtain a cooker with an interior visible from all directions.
Another aim of the present invention is to resolve the problem of non-visibility of an oven's interior due to illumination.
Yet another aim of the present invention is to provide a cooker design having a low cost and low sound power level.
Another aim of the present invention is to enable obtaining homogeneous cooking results by applying equal heating on all surfaces.
Detailed Description of the Invention
In a preferred embodiment, the transparent cooker of the invention, enabling homogeneous cooking of food products and visibility of its interior during cooking, comprises
  • four air ducts shaped as a sharp-edged U, forming a main body when joined,
  • at least one fan provided in at least one of the air ducts, preferably on the inner corner of the sharp-edged U shape,
  • at least one fan engine positioned out of at least one of the air ducts,
  • at least one suction region provided in each air duct to transmit the air received from the fan to at least one heating region,
  • at least one compression region transmitting the heated air received from the heating region to the cooking volume,
  • at least one glass suitable to be placed in at least one groove provided in the air ducts to delimit the cooking volume, and
  • at least one heater provided in the heating region.
In a preferred embodiment, the transparent cooker of the invention, enabling homogeneous cooking of food products and visibility of its interior during cooking, comprises
  • two parallel air ducts,
  • at least one fan provided in at least one of the air ducts,
  • at least one fan engine positioned out of at least one of the air ducts,
  • at least one suction region provided in each air duct to transmit the air received from the fan to at least one heating region,
  • at least one compression region transmitting the heated air received from the heating region to the cooking volume,
  • a plurality of glasses suitable to be placed in at least one groove provided in the air ducts, though at the corners where the air ducts are not present joining by means of attachment members, so as to form the main body by,
  • at least one heater provided in the heating region, and
  • at least one attachment member enabling holding the glasses together.
The body of the transparent cooker of the invention is a prismatical structure formed by joining the air ducts such that the lower edge of each U shaped air duct covers the open end of another air duct. The open surfaces of the prismatical body are covered by the glasses mounted on said ducts, isolating the cooker from the outer volume, forming a cooking volume within the cooker. The glasses are placed in the grooves provided in the air ducts. The air ducts thus surround the glasses like a frame.
The interior of the transparent cooker body constituted by the air ducts and glasses is visible from all directions.
A radial or axial fan is provided in the air ducts. A fan engine enabling operating the fan, is provided preferably out of the cooker. A preferably cylindrical heater is provided in the heating region.
The air drawn by each air duct independently from the suction region by means of the fan, is heated in the heating region and transmitted into the cooker through the compression region. Hot air is distributed homogeneously in the cooker by means of this air movement.
In an embodiment of the invention, the fan is disposed in the air duct, at the corner where the suction region intersects the heating region.
In an embodiment of the invention, the fan engine is provided outside the air ducts.
In an embodiment of the invention, the heater is cylindrical.
In another preferred embodiment of the invention, two U shaped air ducts are provided in the body of the transparent cooker. The air ducts are positioned parallel to each other.
In another embodiment of the invention, the glasses disposed at the edges without air ducts are joined with attachment members made of translucent, silicone-like elastic material.
