Description

TRANSPARENT COOKER WITH AIR DISTRIBUTION FROM BELOW
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a transparent cooker designed to enable homogeneous cooking of food products and visibility of its interior during cooking process.
Prior Art
The ovens cooking food products by transferring the heat generated in a separate section in the oven to the cooking section by means of a fan are referred to as convectional ovens. In convectional ovens, elements such as tray level, preheating temperature, and the temperature of the product to be cooked (the product being freshly prepared or taken from a refrigerator) are important for ideal cooking.
However, a limited window area is left in convectional ovens to see the cooking compartment. It is a major problem to view all sides of particularly the larger food products from this window area. The capability to view the cooking food products consists a significant criterion in buying decisions of customers. However, the producers intend to keep this area limited due to technical limitations.
Since a major portion of an oven is enclosed, illumination is required in its interior. Problems arise in examining the properties of cooking food products such as its roasting state, as this illumination cannot be performed homogeneously on all sides. In the present invention, a cooker is designed which is transparent on all sides.
State of the art European patent document no. EP1344986 mentions blowing air from perforated side walls. Moreover, the main subject of the patent is guide plates in a suction aperture. A protective grid and guide plates assembled on said grid are provided in the suction aperture of a fan. The plates placed symmetrically with respect to a PP axis, have a thickness of 1.5 mm and a width of 50 mm. The air arriving from the rear portion of the side walls is directed by the plates with an angle of a1, and the air arriving from the front portion is directed by the plates with an angle of a2. It is proposed that a homogeneous distribution would be obtained in the oven by means of this design.
State of the art international patent document no. WO2009107016 mentions an application of illumination from oven walls. In addition, it is noted that the oven walls may be transparent and coated with heater film.
State of the art international patent document no. WO9734490 mentions an application in which components in an oven, such as heating means, air circulating means, temperature control means, electronic control unit and the fan group are disposed in the oven door. It is noted that the oven door is designed to be assembled to a body by means of hinges, and that said door may be transparent. A reflector is provided on the oven door.
None of the state of the art documents include a solution similar to the one in the present invention.
Brief Description of the Invention
The aim of the present invention is to obtain a cooker with an interior visible from all directions.
Another aim of the present invention is to resolve the problem of non-visibility of an oven's interior due to illumination.
Another aim of the invention is to enable cooking by using a lesser number of heaters.
A further aim of the present invention is to enable low pressure drops by means of short air ducts.
Detailed Description of the Invention
In a preferred embodiment, the transparent cooker of the invention, enabling homogeneous cooking of food products and visibility of its interior during cooking process, comprises
  • at least one chamber shaped base for forming a main body, with recesses on its upper wall,
  • at least one air duct provided on four corners of the base, extending upwards perpendicularly to the base for forming a main body,
  • a plurality of glasses assembled to the air ducts,
  • a plurality of blowing holes provided on the air ducts,
  • suction holes provided on the upper wall of the base, enabling sucking air from the cooking volume,
  • at least one radially shaped fan provided on the center of the base,
  • at least one fan engine positioned behind the fan enabling rotating thereof,
  • at least two grooves enabling placing the glasses on both sides of an air duct,
  • at least one liquid channel provided on the sides of the recess disposed on the upper wall of the base, to protect the suction holes in likely food overflows and currents,
  • at least one circular heater provided around the fan,
  • at least one separator plate provided on the base, with edges angularly bent upwards, and
  • a plurality of guide flaps to evenly distribute the air sucked by the fan to the air ducts after heating the air by being passed through the heater.
The body of the transparent cooker of the invention consists of a chamber shaped base with recesses on its upper wall, air ducts provided on four corners of the base, extending upwards perpendicularly to the base, and glasses fixed to said air ducts. The cooker has a prismatic structure formed by joining the base, glasses and the air ducts. Thus, the cooking volume delimited by the air ducts and the glasses, is visible from all directions excluding the base.
The open surfaces of the prismatic body are covered by the glasses mounted on the air ducts, isolating the cooker from the outer volume, forming a cooking volume within the cooker. Preferably two or more grooves are provided on both sides of the air ducts, enabling placing the glasses. The glasses are placed in the grooves provided in the air ducts. The air ducts thus surround the glasses like a frame.
A liquid channel is provided on the sides of the recess disposed on the upper wall of the base, to protect the suction holes in likely food overflows and currents. The liquid channel prevents blockage of the suction holes.
A radial fan is provided on the center of the chamber shaped base. A fan engine enabling operating/rotating the fan is provided behind the fan. A circular heater is provided around the radial fan.
Suction holes are provided on the upper wall of the base, enabling sucking air from the cooking volume. The suction holes are placed so as to correspond to the suction region of the radial fan.
The separator plate is disposed on the base. The separator plate prevents food residue from filling into the suction holes by way of infiltration or spillage during cooking, and from reaching the suction region and fan therefrom. Therefore, its edges are angularly bent upwards. The separator plate is placed such that its feet contact the recesses provided on the upper wall of the base. A gap forms between the separator plate and the upper wall of the base for air passage thanks to these feet.
The suction air reaches the suction holes by passing through the gap between the feet of the plate and the upper wall of the base. The air sucked by the fan is heated by being passed through the heater. From here, the heated air is evenly distributed to the air ducts by means of the guide flaps.
A plurality of blowing holes are provided on the air ducts. The heated air is distributed to the cooking volume through said blowing holes. Since this air movement occurs on all corners, a homogeneous air distribution is achieved in the cooking volume.
