  • the rubber tapping is skilled work as it need a careful incision longitudinally on bark that helps to open only the latex vessels to get the maximum latex/rubber yield without damaging the tree cambium.
  • a manual tapping knife is generally used to shear off a thin layer of rubber tree's bark. The bark of the rubber tree is cut systematically to the width and depth in a channel shaped position. After the incision is carved in the tree, the latex starts flowing and collected into a container attached to the tree. Few hours after cutting the surface of the bark, a clot is formed in the incision that stops the seeping of the latex. To start the flow of latex a small layer of bark or the clot is required to be removed from the incision. This process is repeated on regular basis to get the maximum Latex from an incision.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil motorisé hybride pour la récolte du caoutchouc, comprenant une lame sécurisée et réglable pour saigner les arbres à caoutchouc par une découpe soignée et systématique de la partie initiale et de la partie finale d'incision de l'écorce. L'appareil comprend un corps creux (1), un arbre (2), un moteur (3), une paire de cames (4, 5) et une pluralité de paliers (6a, 6b, 6c et 6d). L'arbre (2) est disposé dans le corps creux (1) et est fixé au moteur (3) par une extrémité. Un mécanisme à cliquet (16) est disposé à côté du moteur (3) à l'aide d'une plaque de support de moteur et de boulons (30, 31) pourvus de lames (14, 14a) opposées l'une à l'autre. Le moteur (3) est fixé et conçu pour faire tourner l'arbre (2) à l'intérieur du corps creux (1). Le corps creux (1) présente au moins une fente (7).
