Abstract
The present invention relates to a marker for identifying characteristics of floury endosperm and a use thereof. According to the present invention, primer sets targeting single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) sites identified in the present invention can be used to determine all rice cultivars, specifically, the floury endosperm of a Japonica rice line simply and accurately at the early stage of breeding. Specifically, the evaluation of floury endosperm of rice cultivars can be applied to the selection of early-stage inbred lines or individual F2 plants. Furthermore, the present invention can be expanded and applied to processed products having rice as a main material.
