技术领域
本公开的实施例涉及一种显示基板及其制备方法、喷墨打印方法、显示装置。
背景技术
有机发光显示装置具有自发光、反应快、视角广、亮度高、色彩艳、轻薄等优点,因此成为一种重要的显示技术。
有机发光显示装置的有机功能层例如可以采用喷墨打印的方式形成,而利用喷墨打印法形成有机功能层需要预先在衬底基板上制作像素界定层,以限定有机功能材料精确的喷入指定的像素区域内。
发明内容
本公开至少一实施例提供一种显示基板,具有显示区域和周边区域,包括像素界定层;所述像素界定层包括:显示像素界定区和围绕所述显示像素界定区的辅助像素界定区;其中,所述显示像素界定区包括多个第一像素界定单元;所述辅助像素界定区包括多个第二像素界定单元,并且至少部分所述第二像素界定单元的开口面积大于所述第一像素界定单元的开口面积;所述显示像素界定区在所述显示区域内,所述辅助像素界定区在所述周边区域内,所述多个第一像素界定单元配置为形成显示像素,所述多个第二像素界定单元配置为形成辅助像素。

通常,显示基板的像素界定层具有多个开口,利用喷墨打印法在这些开口中进行喷墨打印时,喷墨打印在位于基板边缘处开口的墨水干燥速度往往较快,而喷墨打印在基板内部开口的墨水干燥速度往往较慢,导致喷墨打印的墨水在位于基板边缘处和位于基板内部的开口中的干燥速度不一致,这将使得喷墨打印在不同位置开口中的墨水干燥后产生的形态不均匀。例如,利用喷墨打印法在开口中打印有机材料以形成有机功能层时,不同位置开口处形成的有机功能层形态(例如厚度)不均匀,由此会导致显示基板在工作时的显示亮度不均匀,严重影响显示基板的显示效果。
为了平衡喷墨打印的墨水在位于边缘处和位于内部的开口中的干燥速度,像素界定层中可以围绕显示像素设置辅助像素,并且在该辅助像素内喷墨打印的墨水与显示像素相同,但是该辅助像素在显示基板显示时不会发光。

本公开至少一实施例提供的显示基板中的像素界定层可以通过设置较少的第二像素界定单元即可实现至少平衡喷墨打印在各个第一像素界定单元开口中墨水的干燥速度,进而使第一像素界定单元中墨水干燥后的形态更加均匀;另外,设置较少的第二像素界定单元可以减小辅助像素界定区所占有的空间大小,从而有利于显示基板的窄边框设计,并且还可以简化制备工艺,进而节约成本。
下面通过几个具体的实施例对本公开的显示基板及其制备方法、喷墨打印方法和显示装置进行说明。
本公开至少一实施例提供一种显示基板,该显示基板例如可以为有机发光二极管(OLED)显示面板的阵列基板;该显示基板包括像素界定层。如图1所示,该像素界定层包括显示像素界定区10和围绕显示像素界定区10的辅助像素界定区20;显示像素界定区10包括多个第一像素界定单元101;辅助像素界定区20包括多个第二像素界定单元201,并且至少部分第二像素界定单元201的开口面积大于第一像素界定单元101的开口面积。
例如,图4示出了本实施例提供的显示基板的截面示意图,如图4所示,该显示基板具有显示区域1和周边区域2,显示像素界定区10在显示区域1内,辅助像素界定区20在周边区域2内,(图中示出的像素界定层为图1中像素界定层沿线A-A的剖视图,在与线A-A垂直方向上的剖视图与此类似,本公开不再提供),并且多个第一像素界定单元101配置为形成显示像素,多个第二像素界定单元201配置为形成辅助像素。
本实施例中,如图1所示,第一像素界定单元和第二像素界定单元例如 可以呈矩阵形式排列,例如多个像素界定单元形成行与列且彼此对齐排列的形式。例如,多个第二像素界定单元201可以围绕显示像素界定区10逐层排列,并且以显示像素界定区10为内侧,第二像素界定单元201的开口面积从内层到外层逐渐增大。
如图1所示,本示例中,多个第二像素界定单元201围绕显示像素界定区10依次形成L1层、L2层…直到LN层,并且从L1到LN层,第二像素界定单元201的开口面积逐渐增大。本实施例中,多个第二像素界定单元201例如可以围绕显示像素界定区10形成3-6层,例如4层或5层。
本实施例中,由于在辅助像素界定区20中,从L1到LN层第二像素界定单元201的开口面积逐渐增大,因此在利用该像素界定层进行喷墨打印的过程中,可以根据像素界定单元的开口面积选择在其中喷墨打印的墨水的量,例如在第二像素界定单元和第一像素界定单元中喷墨打印的墨水量可以分别与第二像素界定单元和第一像素界定单元的开口面积大小成正比。因此,喷墨打印在辅助像素界定区的墨水在蒸发时产生的蒸汽压可以在辅助像素界定区中从外层到内层逐渐变化,而不会产生突变,从而更好地实现平衡喷墨打印在显示像素界定区10中墨水的干燥速度的技术效果。
如图1所示,本实施例的一个示例中,位于显示像素界定区10的多个第一像素界定单元101的开口面积大小例如可以相同,并且在辅助像素界定区20中,位于最内层,即L1层的第二像素界定单元201的开口面积例如可以等于第一像素界定单元101的开口面积。
如图2所示,本实施例的另一个示例中,位于显示像素界定区10的多个第一像素界定单元201的开口面积大小例如可以不同,例如用于显示红色的子像素和显示绿色的子像素的开口面积可以小于显示蓝色的子像素的开口面积;并且,在辅助像素界定区20中,位于同层的第二像素界定单元201的开口面积例如也可以不同。例如,位于最内层,即L1层的第二像素界定单元201的开口面积例如可以等于与其相邻的第一像素界定单元101的开口面积。
本实施例中,当辅助像素界定区20中位于L1层的第二像素界定单元201的开口面积等于与其相邻的第一像素界定单元101的开口面积时,在利用该像素界定层进行喷墨打印的过程中,该第二像素界定单元中喷墨打印的墨水量可以等于与其相邻的第一像素界定单元中喷墨打印的墨水量,这样可 以减少辅助像素界定区与显示像素界定区边界处由于墨水蒸发而产生的蒸汽压的突变,进而防止由于边界处的蒸汽压差异而导致的位于显示像素界定区边缘的第一像素界定单元中墨水干燥速度不同于位于显示像素界定区内层的第一像素界定单元中墨水干燥速度。
如图3所示,本实施例的一个示例中,当位于显示像素界定区的多个第一像素界定单元101的开口面积大小不同时,在辅助像素界定区20中,位于同层的第二像素界定单元201的开口面积例如也可以相同。例如,位于最内层,即L1层的第二像素界定单元201的开口面积等于显示像素界定区中面积最大的第一像素界定单元101的开口面积。
本实施例的一个示例中,在辅助像素界定区20中,位于同一层的第二像素界定单元201的开口相对于与其最近邻的第一像素界定单元101的开口来说,形状相同,大小成相同比例放大。
例如,在如图1所示的情况下,位于显示像素界定区10的多个第一像素界定单元101的开口面积大小相同,并且在辅助像素界定区20中,位于同层的第二像素界定单元201的开口面积大小相同,并且从内层到外层,第二像素界定单元201的开口面积大小与第一像素界定单元101的开口面积大小之比依次增大,并且增大的幅度例如可以相同。

例如,当第一像素界定单元101的开口率为40%并且第二像素界定单元201围绕显示像素界定区10形成3层时,位于L1层的第二像素界定单元201的开口率例如可以为50%,位于L2层的第二像素界定单元201的开口率例如可以为60%,位于L3层的第二像素界定单元201的开口率例如可以为70%,即第二像素界定单元201的开口率从内层到外层依次增加10%。本实 施例中,位于辅助像素界定区中第二像素界定单元的层数较少,并且可以根据需求进行调整。
例如,在如图2所示的情况下,位于显示像素界定区10的多个第一像素界定单元101的开口面积大小不同,在辅助像素界定区20中,位于同层的第二像素界定单元201的开口面积大小也不同,并且位于同层的第二像素界定单元201的开口面积大小与其最近邻的,即与其同行或同列的位于显示像素界定区10最外侧的第一像素界定单元101的开口面积大小之比相同,并且从内层到外层,该比值依次增大,并且增大的幅度例如可以相同。

需要说明的是,本实施例中,在辅助像素界定区20中,从内层到外层,第二像素界定单元201的开口面积大小与和其最近邻的第一像素界定单元101的开口面积大小之比依次增大的幅度可以根据例如喷墨打印材料的性质等进行选择,其增大的幅度可以相同也可以不同,这些材料性质包括溶剂蒸发或挥发速率等。
本实施例中,第一像素界定单元101和第二像素界定单元201例如可以呈矩形,并且第二像素界定单元201相对于第一像素界定单元101增大时, 其长边和短边相对于第一像素界定单元101的长边和短边例如可以等比例增大,即保持第一像素界定单元101和第二像素界定单元201的形状相同。当然,第一像素界定单元101和第二像素界定单元201也可以为其他合适的形状,例如平行四边形、梯形等,本实施例对此不做限定。
本实施例中,显示基板的有机功能层例如可以通过在像素界定层的第一像素界定单元和第二像素界定单元的开口内喷墨打印有机材料而形成。该像素界定层可以使得喷墨打印形成的有机功能层的形态更加均匀,例如使得有机功能层的厚度及表面形貌等更加均匀。本实施例中,该有机功能层例如可以为有机发光层、电子注入层、空穴注入层、电子传输层和空穴传输层等,本实施例对此不做限定。
本实施例中,显示基板当然还可以包括像素驱动电路、阳极层、阴极层、绝缘层等其他功能结构,本实施例不再赘述。
本实施例提供的显示基板中的像素界定层具有显示像素界定区和围绕显示像素界定区的辅助像素界定区,该辅助像素界定区可以降低位于显示像素界定区边缘的第一像素界定单元中墨水的干燥速度,进而使得显示像素界定区中各个像素界定单元开口中喷墨打印的墨水干燥速度基本一致,进而使墨水在干燥后的形态更加均匀,例如墨水的成膜厚度等更加均匀。因此,本实施例提供的显示基板的有机功能层形态更加均匀,从而可以提高显示基板的显示均匀性,使得该显示基板具有更好的显示效果。
本实施例中,至少部分位于辅助像素界定区的第二像素界定单元的开口面积大于位于显示像素界定区的第一像素界定单元的开口面积,因此在第二像素界定单元和第一像素界定单元中进行喷墨打印以形成功能层(例如电子注入层、电子传输层、有机发光层、空穴传输层、空穴注入层等之一或组合)时,可以根据像素界定单元的开口面积选择在其中喷墨打印的墨水的量,例如在第二像素界定单元中喷墨打印较多的墨水,在第一像素界定单元中喷墨打印较少的墨水。因此本实施例提供的像素界定层通过设置较少的第二像素界定单元(例如3层)即可实现至少平衡喷墨打印在各个第一像素界定单元开口中墨水的干燥速度,进而使第一像素界定单元中墨水干燥后的形态更加均匀(若辅助像素界定区的第二像素界定单元的开口面积与显示像素界定区的第一像素界定单元的开口面积相同,特别是在像素开口中将要形成的功能层厚度较厚的情况下,需要设置10层以上的第二像素界定单元才能实现平 衡喷墨打印在各个第一像素界定单元开口中墨水的干燥速度的效果);另外,设置较少的第二像素界定单元可以减小辅助像素界定区所占有的空间大小,从而有利于显示基板的窄边框设计,同时设置较少的第二像素界定单元还可以简化制备工艺,进而节约成本。
本公开至少一实施例提供一种利用上述实施例提供的显示基板中的像素界定层进行喷墨打印的方法,该方法可以用于形成例如OLED显示面板的阵列基板,该方法包括:在第一像素界定单元和第二像素界定单元的开口内进行喷墨打印,由此形成所需要的功能层。
例如,本实施例中,进行喷墨打印时,在第二像素界定单元的开口中喷墨打印的墨水量可以多于在第一像素界定单元的开口喷墨打印的墨水量。例如,在第二像素界定单元和第一像素界定单元中喷墨打印的墨水量可以分别与第二像素界定单元和第一像素界定单元的开口面积大小成正比。因此,通过在位于不同位置中具有不同开口面积的素界定单元中喷墨打印不同的墨水量,使得墨水在干燥时,从辅助像素界定区的外层到内层,其上方由于墨水蒸发而产生的蒸汽压的差异逐渐减小,而不会产生突变,使得至少在显示像素界定区中各第一像素界定单元上方的蒸汽压接近或相同,从而各第一像素界定单元中墨水的干燥速度相同,进而使得墨水干燥后的形态均匀。
例如,当辅助像素界定区中位于最内层,即L1层的第二像素界定单元的开口面积等于与其相邻的显示像素界定区中第一像素界定单元的开口面积时,该第二像素界定单元中喷墨打印的墨水量等于与其相邻的第一像素界定单元中喷墨打印的墨水量,这样可以减少辅助像素界定区与显示像素界定区边界处产生蒸汽压的突变,进而防止由于边界处的蒸汽压差异而导致的位于显示像素界定区边缘的第一像素界定单元中墨水干燥速度不同于位于显示像素界定区内层的第一像素界定单元中墨水干燥速度。
本实施例中,在第二像素界定单元的开口中喷墨打印的墨水量例如可以从内层到外层依次增大,并且该增大的幅度例如可以相同。例如,当第一像素界定单元和第二像素界定单元呈矩形,并且第二像素界定单元相对于第一像素界定单元增大时,可以保持第一像素界定单元和第二像素界定单元的形状相同,即位于同层的第二像素界定单元的长边和短边相对于第一像素界定单元的长边和短边呈相同比例增大,并且在辅助像素界定区中,从内层到外层该增大的幅度相同;此时,在位于不同位置的保持形状相同而大小不同的 第一像素界定单元和第二像素界定单元进行喷墨打印时,各像素界定单元的形状相同并且在辅助像素界定区中从内层到外层像素界定单元中喷墨打印的墨水量增大的幅度相同,由此可以更好地调节各像素界定单元上方由于墨水蒸发产生的蒸汽压大小,使蒸汽压的变化更加均匀,从而更好地实现至少在显示像素界定区中各第一像素界定单元上方的蒸汽压接近或相同,进而使得各第一像素界定单元中墨水干燥的速度基本相同,从而使墨水干燥后的形态更加均匀。
本实施例提供的喷墨打印方法可以根据各像素界定单元的位置及其开口面积等选择在其中喷墨打印墨水的量,因此可以不同程度地调控位于边缘的第二像素界定单元中墨水的干燥速度,使得至少在位于显示像素界定区的第一像素界定单元中墨水的干燥速度基本相同,进而使墨水在干燥后的形态更加均匀。
本公开至少一实施例提供一种显示基板的制备方法,如图5A所示,该显示基板包括显示区域1和周边区域2,该方法包括:形成像素界定层(图中示出的像素界定层为图1中像素界定层沿线A-A的剖视图)。该像素界定层包括:显示像素界定区和围绕显示像素界定区的辅助像素界定区;显示像素界定区包括多个第一像素界定单元101;辅助像素界定区包括多个第二像素界定单元201,并且至少部分第二像素界定单元201的开口面积大于第一像素界定单元101的开口面积。该像素界定层的显示像素界定区和辅助像素界定区分别形成于显示基板的显示区域1和周边区域2内;并且通过多个第一像素界定单元101在显示区域1形成多个第一像素,通过多个第二像素界定单元201在周边区域形成多个第二像素。
本实施例中,在显示区域1中形成的第一像素为显示像素,用于显示有机发光显示基板所要显示的画面,例如可以为显示红色、绿色、蓝色或白色的像素;在周边区域2中形成的第二像素为辅助像素,用于辅助显示像素的形成,使显示像素中形成的各功能层形态更加均匀。
本实施例中,如图5B所示,形成多个第一像素和多个第二像素例如可以包括在第一像素界定单元101和第二像素界定单元201的开口内喷墨打印有机材料以形成有机功能层301。有机功能层301例如可以为有机发光层、电子注入层、空穴注入层、电子传输层和空穴传输层中的一种或几种,本实施例对此不做限定。
本实施例的一个示例中,当所形成的显示基板的发光层为可以发出白光的发光层时,形成于显示区域10的多个第一像素界定单元101的开口面积大小例如可以相同,即形成如图1所示的像素界定层。该情况下,显示基板可以通过白色发光层配合彩色滤光片来实现显示基板的全彩化。
本实施例的另一个示例中,当所形成的机发光显示基板的发光层为可以发出彩色光的发光层,例如发出红色光、绿色光和蓝色光的彩色发光层时,形成于显示区域10的多个第一像素界定单元101的开口面积大小例如可以不同,例如形成如图2或图3所示的像素界定层。该情况下,第一像素界定单元101例如可以包括具有三种不同大小开口的像素界定单元,并且该像素界定单元由大到小例如可以对应于蓝色像素界定单元、绿色像素界定单元和红色像素界定单元,因此可以在上述像素界定单元内喷墨打印相应颜色的有机材料从而分别形成蓝色发光层、绿色发光层和红色发光层。该有机发光显示基板的发光层可以在通电之后直接发出彩色光。
本实施例中,例如可以根据第二像素界定单元和第一像素界定单元的开口面积选择在第二像素界定单元和第一像素界定单元的开口中喷墨打印的有机材料的量。
例如,在本实施例的一个示例中,在第二像素界定单元和第一像素界定单元的开口中喷墨打印的有机材料的量分别与第二像素界定单元和第一像素界定单元的开口面积大小成正比,因此从外层到内层,喷墨打印在第二像素界定单元中有机材料的量逐渐减少。这样可以不同程度地降低位于边缘的第二像素界定单元中有机材料的干燥速度,进而使得喷墨打印在各个像素界定单元开口中有机材料的干燥速度基本相同。这使得在各个像素界定单元开口中喷墨打印的有机材料在干燥后的形态更加均匀或者至少在第一像素界定单元中喷墨打印的有机材料在干燥后的形态更加均匀。于是,在第一像素界定单元中形成更加均匀的有机功能层,例如形成厚度及表面形貌等更加均匀的有机功能层。因此,利用本实施例提供的方法制备得到的有机发光显示基板具有更好的显示均匀性,进而由此得到的显示装置具有更好的显示效果。
另外,本实施例中,由于形成于周边区域的第二像素界定单元的开口面积大于形成于显示区域的第一像素界定单元的开口面积,因此形成较少的第二像素界定单元即可实现至少平衡喷墨打印在各个第一像素界定单元开口 中有机材料的干燥速度的技术效果。利用本实施例提供的有机发光显示基板的制备方法形成的位于周边区域的第二像素的数量可以更少,从而有利于缩小所形成的显示基板的周边区域,实现显示基板的窄边框设计。
本公开至少一实施例提供一种显示面板,如图6所示,该显示面板4包括上述显示基板3。该显示面板4例如可以为有机发光显示面板等。该显示面板4具有优异的显示均匀性,并且该显示面板4边框较窄,可以实现大屏化显示。
本公开至少一实施例还提供一种显示装置,如图7所示,该显示装置5包括上述显示面板4。该显示装置5例如可以为手机、电脑、电视、电子书等任何具有显示功能的电子产品,本实施例对此不做限定。
还有以下几点需要说明:
(1)本公开实施例附图只涉及到与本公开实施例涉及到的结构,其他结构可参考通常设计。
(2)为了清晰起见,在用于描述本公开的实施例的附图中,层或区域的厚度被放大或缩小,即这些附图并非按照实际的比例绘制。可以理解,当诸如层、膜、区域或基板之类的元件被称作位于另一元件“上”或“下”时,该元件可以“直接”位于另一元件“上”或“下”或者可以存在中间元件。
(3)在不冲突的情况下,本公开的实施例及实施例中的特征可以相互组合以得到新的实施例。
以上所述仅是本发明的示范性实施方式,而非用于限制本发明的保护范围,本发明的保护范围由所附的权利要求确定。

Claims (15)

  1. 一种显示基板,具有显示区域和周边区域,包括像素界定层;
    所述像素界定层包括:显示像素界定区和围绕所述显示像素界定区的辅助像素界定区;其中,所述显示像素界定区包括多个第一像素界定单元;所述辅助像素界定区包括多个第二像素界定单元,并且至少部分所述第二像素界定单元的开口面积大于所述第一像素界定单元的开口面积;
    所述显示像素界定区在所述显示区域内,所述辅助像素界定区在所述周边区域内,
    所述多个第一像素界定单元配置为形成显示像素,所述多个第二像素界定单元配置为形成辅助像素。
  2. 根据权利要求1所述的显示基板,其中,所述多个第二像素界定单元围绕所述显示像素界定区逐层排列,并且以靠近所述显示像素界定区为内侧,所述辅助像素界定区中的所述第二像素界定单元的开口面积从内层到外层逐渐增大。
  3. 根据权利要求2所述的显示基板,其中,所述多个第一像素界定单元的开口面积大小相同,并且在最内层的所述第二像素界定单元的开口面积等于所述第一像素界定单元的开口面积。
  4. 根据权利要求2所述的显示基板,其中,所述多个第一像素界定单元的开口面积大小不同,并且位于最内层的所述第二像素界定单元的开口面积等于与其相邻的所述第一像素界定单元的开口面积。
  5. 根据权利要求2-4任一所述的显示基板,其中,所述辅助像素界定区包括3-6层所述第二像素界定单元。
  6. 根据权利要求2-5任一所述的显示基板,其中,位于同一层的所述第二像素界定单元的开口相对于与其最近邻的所述第一像素界定单元的开口形状相同,大小成相同比例放大。
  7. 根据权利要求1-6任一所述的显示基板,其中,所述第一像素界定单元和所述第二像素界定单元呈矩阵形式排列。
  8. 一种利用权利要求1-7任一所述的显示基板的像素界定层进行喷墨打印的方法,包括:
    在所述第一像素界定单元和所述第二像素界定单元的开口内进行喷墨 打印。
  9. 根据权利要求8所述的喷墨打印的方法,其中,在所述第二像素界定单元的开口中喷墨打印的墨水量不少于在所述第一像素界定单元的开口中喷墨打印的墨水量。
  10. 根据权利要求8所述的喷墨打印的方法,其中,在所述第二像素界定单元和所述第一像素界定单元中喷墨打印的墨水量分别与所述第二像素界定单元和所述第一像素界定单元的开口面积大小成正比。
  11. 一种显示基板的制备方法,所述显示基板包括显示区域和周边区域,该方法包括:
    形成像素界定层,所述像素界定层包括:显示像素界定区和围绕所述显示像素界定区的辅助像素界定区;其中,所述显示像素界定区包括多个第一像素界定单元;所述辅助像素界定区包括多个第二像素界定单元,并且至少部分所述第二像素界定单元的开口面积大于所述第一像素界定单元的开口面积;
    所述显示像素界定区形成于所述显示区域内,所述辅助像素界定区分别形成于所述周边区域内;
    通过所述多个第一像素界定单元在所述显示区域形成多个第一像素,
    通过所述多个第二像素界定单元在所述周边区域形成多个第二像素。
  12. 根据权利要求11所述的显示基板的制备方法,其中,形成所述多个第一像素和所述多个第二像素包括:
    在所述第一像素界定单元和所述第二像素界定单元的开口内喷墨打印有机材料以形成有机功能层。
  13. 根据权利要求12所述的显示基板的制备方法,其中,在所述第二像素界定单元和所述第一像素界定单元的开口中喷墨打印的有机材料的量分别与所述第二像素界定单元和所述第一像素界定单元的开口面积大小成正比。
  14. 根据权利要求12或13所述的显示基板的制备方法,其中,所述有机功能层包括发光层、电子注入层、空穴注入层、电子传输层和空穴传输层中的一种或几种。
  15. 一种显示装置,包括权利要求1-7任一所述的显示基板。
