본 발명은 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법 및 복호화 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 암호화 방법은, 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계, 복수의 금속 나노구조체의 광학 데이터를 획득하는 단계 및 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 보안매체를 제조하는 단계를 포함하고, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 사용함으로써 105 이상의 인코딩 용량을 가질 수 있다.

Description

금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법 및 복호화 방법
본 발명은 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법 및 복호화 방법에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는, 금속 나노구조체의 광학 특성을 제어하는 기술을 이용하여 위조 방지 또는 보안을 위한 암호화 장치 및 암호화 방법에 관한 것이다.
위조 상품과 위조문서들로 인해 전세계적으로 매년 수천억 달러 이상의 손실과 인류 건강 및 사회적 질서에 심각한 문제를 초래하고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 사용되는 위조 방지 기술의 시장 규모는 암호화 Packaging 기술, Track & Trace 기술과 인증(Authentication) 기술 분야에서 모두 지속적으로 증가하고 있다.
위조 방지 기술은 크게 Overt, Covert, Forensic, Track & Trace 목적으로 분류되며 일반적으로 2~3개의 기술을 복합하여 사용한다. Overt 기술(Visible features)은 눈으로 구분 가능한 기술로 전문 지식이나 장치 없이 사용자가 바로 식별 가능한 방법이다. 예를 들어, 홀로그램 태그(Hologram Tag), 광학 가변 잉크(Optically Variable Ink) 및 컬러 시프트 잉크(Color shifting ink) 등을 사용하는 방법이 있다. Covert 기술(Hidden Markers)은 육안으로는 구분 불가(Covert)하며, 전문 지식 또는 별도의 장치가 필요한 방법이다. 예를 들어, 육안으로는 구분 불가한 투명 잉크, 삽입 이미지(Embedded image), 워터 마크(Water Mark) 및 레이저 코딩(Laser Coding) 등이 있다. Covert 기술은 사용자가 아닌 제작 업체가 구분 가능한 것으로 대중에 노출될 경우 암호화 가치가 없어진다. Forensic 기술은 Covert 기술의 한 부분으로 과학적 방법론을 통해 구현하는 전문적인 기술이다. 예를 들어, Chemical/Biological/DNA/Micro Taggant가 있다. 상술한 기존의 기술들은 복제가 용이하여 2-3가지 방법을 혼합하여 사용하고 있다.
한편, Track & Trace 기술은 각각의 제품에 고유 인식번호를 부여하는 방식으로 105 - 1012의 인코딩 용량(Encoding Capacitance)을 요구하며 향후 제품의 유통 및 사용에 관한 데이터 베이스 축적을 목표로 한다. 그러나, 기존 Track & Trace 기술은 복제 난이도가 낮아 보안 문제가 우려되고, 103 - 105 수준의 암호화 용과 대량 생산성 및 가격 측면에서 제한적이다. 따라서, Track & Trace 기술은 한계가 있다.
또한, 단순 위조 방지 목적 이외에 특정 제품의 위치 및 사용처를 파악하기 위해 Track & Trace 기술로 Serialization, Bar Code, RFID 등이 사용되고는 있으나 인코딩 용량이 작고 가격 경쟁력 면에서 그 활용이 매우 제한적이다.
기존의 Covert 기술은 쉽게 복제될 수 있기 때문에 보안 및 위조의 위험성이 높고 기존 Forensic 기술은 전문적인 기술과 장비를 요구하는 측면에서 활용 범위가 제한적이다. 기존 Track & Trace 기술은 보안의 효과가 떨어지며 인코딩 용량이 낮을 뿐만 아니라 현재 관련 연구 개발 역시 매우 미흡한 상황이다. 현재 Track & Trace 기술의 수요는 제약에 집중되어 있으나 향후 사물 인터넷(IoT)이 생활화 될 경우 각 장치들의 아이덴티티(Identity) 확보와 보안 추적을 위해 더 큰 인코딩 용량이 필요할 것으로 예상된다.
본 발명이 해결하고자 하는 과제는, 키랄성 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법 및 복호화 방법을 제공하는 것이다.
구체적으로, 본 발명은 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체의 광학 특성을 제어하여 금속 나노구조체의 다양한 광학 데이터를 인코딩 데이터로 활용하는 암호화 방법을 제공한다.
본 발명은 천문학적인 인코딩 용량을 가지며, Covert한 특성을 이용하여 일반 사용자는 인지 불가능한 Track & Trace 암호화 기술로 응용이 가능하다.
본 발명의 과제들은 이상에서 언급한 과제들로 제한되지 않으며, 언급되지 않은 또 다른 과제들은 아래의 기재로부터 당업자에게 명확하게 이해될 수 있을 것이다.
전술한 바와 같은 과제를 해결하기 위하여 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 암호화 방법은, 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계, 복수의 금속 나노구조체의 광학 데이터를 획득하는 단계 및 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 보안매체를 제조하는 단계를 포함하고, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 사용함으로써 105 이상의 인코딩 용량을 가질 수 있다.
전술한 바와 같은 과제를 해결하기 위하여 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 복호화 방법은, 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 대상매체를 준비하는 단계, 대상매체의 복수의 금속 나노구조체에 편광을 조사하여 광학 데이터를 측정하는 단계, 저장부로부터 미리 저장된 레퍼런스 광학 데이터를 로드하는 단계 및 측정된 광학 데이터를 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 비교하는 단계를 포함한다.
기타 실시예의 구체적인 사항들은 상세한 설명 및 도면들에 포함되어 있다.
본 발명은 새로운 인코딩 방법으로서 키랄 특성을 갖는 금속 나노구조체의 광학 특성을 이용하여, Covert 암호화 기술 및 Track & Trace 암호화 기술을 혼합하여 위조 방지 효과를 가지는 새로운 암호화 방법 및 복호화 방법을 제공할 수 있다.
본 발명은 키랄 특성을 갖는 금속 나노구조체를 사용함으로써 105의 인코딩 용량을 가지며, 2개 이상의 키랄 특성을 갖는 금속 나노구조체를 혼합하여 천문학적인 인코딩 용량을 가질 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 효과는 이상에서 예시된 내용에 의해 제한되지 않으며, 더욱 다양한 효과들이 본 명세서 내에 포함되어 있다.

도 1을 참조하면, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법은 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계(S110), 복수의 금속 나노구조체의 광학 데이터를 획득하는 단계(S120) 및 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 보안매체를 제조하는 단계(S130)를 포함한다.
먼저, 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 제조한다(S110).
키랄 금속 나노구조체란 3차원 키랄 구조를 가지는 나노 사이즈의 금속구조체를 의미한다. 키랄 구조는 거울상 이성질체가 서로 겹쳐지지 않는 구조를 의미한다. 예를 들어, 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체는 일 방향으로 뒤틀린 형상을 가질 수 있다. 즉, 금속 나노구조체의 모서리가 일 방향으로 휘어지는 형상을 가질 수 있다. 예를 들어, 금속 나노구조체는 모서리가 일 방향으로 꼬이도록 형성된 헬리코이드 형상을 가질 수 있다. 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체의 구체적인 형상 및 성질은 후술한다.
키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체는 시드 성장법을 이용하여 제조할 수 있다. 구체적으로, 출발 물질로서 금속 시드 입자, 금속의 성장을 위한 금속 전구체 그리고 키랄 구조를 유도하는 펩타이드를 이용하여 제조할 수 있다. 보다 구체적인 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체의 제조 방법은 도 2를 통해 설명한다.

도 2를 참조하면, 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계는 금속 전구체, 계면 활성제 및 환원제를 혼합하여 제1 혼합 용액을 제조하는 단계(S111), 제1 혼합 용액에 펩타이드(peptide)를 첨가하여 제2 혼합 용액을 제조하는 단계(S112), 제2 혼합 용액에 금속 시드 입자를 첨가하여 금속을 성장시키는 단계(S113)를 포함한다.
먼저, 금속 전구체, 계면 활성제 및 환원제를 혼합하여 제1 혼합 용액을 제조(S111)한다. 구체적으로, 제1 혼합 용액을 제조하는 단계는 계면 활성제를 포함하는 용액을 제조하는 단계, 용액에 금속 전구체 및 환원제를 혼합하는 단계 및 볼텍스 믹서로 섞는 단계를 포함할 수도 있다.
금속 전구체는 환원제에 의하여 환원되어 금속 입자를 형성하는 물질로서, 시드 성장법을 이용하여 나노 크기의 금속 나노구조체를 형성할 수 있는 금속 물질이면 제한 없이 사용될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 금속 전구체는 금, 은 동과 같은 금속 물질을 포함하는 전구체로 이루어질 수 있으나, 이에 제한되지는 않는다. 예를 들어, 금속 물질로서 금을 이용하여 금속 나노구조체를 형성하는 경우, 금속 전구체는 염화금산(Chloroauric acid, HAuCl4)이 사용될 수 있다.
계면 활성제는 금속 시드 입자에 흡착하여 이중층(bilayer)를 형성하고, 이를 통해 연성 템플릿(soft template)으로 기능한다. 계면 활성제는 당해 기술 분야에서 사용되는 물질을 사용할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 계면 활성제는 세틸트리메틸암모늄브로마이드(CTAB), 세틸트리메틸암모늄클로라이드(CTAC), 세틸피리디니움클로라이드(CPC), 및 폴리비닐피롤리돈(PVP)로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 어느 하나를 포함할 수 있으나, 이에 제한되지는 않는다.
환원제는 금속 전구체의 금속 이온을 환원시켜 후술할 금속 시드 입자에 금속을 성장시킨다. 환원제는 예를 들어, 아스코르브산(ascorbic acid) 또는 아스코르브산과 동일한 수준의 산화 전위를 가지는 물질, 예를 들면, 하이드록실아민, 하이드로퀴논, 숙신산 등을 사용할 수 있으나, 이에 제한되지는 않는다.
다음으로, 제1 혼합 용액에 펩타이드를 첨가하여 제2 혼합 용액을 제조한다(S112).
펩타이드는 후술할 금속 시드 입자에 금속이 비대칭적으로 성장하도록 하여, 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체를 형성시킨다. 구체적으로, 펩타이드는 금속 시드 입자의 복수의 표면(결정면) 중 특정 표면에 흡착되고, 이후, 금속 전구체의 환원에 의하여 금속 이온이 금속 시드 입자의 표면에 부착되어 성장되는 것을 방해한다. 즉, 펩타이드가 흡착된 금속 시드 입자의 표면과 펩타이드가 흡착되지 않은 금속 시드 입자의 다른 표면에서 금속이 성장하는 속도를 제어하여, 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체가 형성될 수 있다.
펩타이드는 아미노기(amino group)와 카르복실기(carboxyl group)을 포함하는 구조로서, 하나의 아미노기와 하나의 카르복실기를 포함하는 아미노산인 모노펩타이드(monopeptide), 2분자 이상의 아미노산이 결합하여 형성된 디펩타이드(dipeptide) 또는 3분자 이상의 아미노산이 결합하여 형성된 트리펩타이드(tripeptide)일 수 있다. 또한, 펩타이드는 아미노산의 수에 따라 10분자 미만의 아미노산이 결합하여 형성된 올리고펩타이드(oligopeptide) 또는 그 이상의 아미노산이 결합하여 형성된 폴리펩타이드(polypeptide)일 수 있으나, 이에 제한되지는 않는다.
예를 들어, 펩타이드는 시스테인(cysteine, Cys), 글루타메이트(glutamate, Clu), 알라닌(alanine, Ala), 글리신(glycine, Gly), 페니실라민(penicillamine), 히스티딘(histidine), 라이신(lysine), 오르니틴(ornithine), 아르기닌(arginine), 아스파르트산(aspartic acid), 글루탐산(glutamic acid), 아스파라진(asparagine), 글루타티온(glutathione) 및 글루타민(glutamine)으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 어느 하나를 포함할 수 있으나, 이에 제한되지는 않는다. 한편, 펩타이드는 거울상 이성질체인 D- 및 L-형태를 모두 포함한다.
펩타이드는 티올기(thiol group; -SH)를 더 포함할 수 있다. 구체적으로, 펩타이드는 아미노산의 측쇄에 티올기를 포함하는 구조를 가질 수 있다. 예를 들어, 티올기를 포함하는 펩타이드는 시스테인 또는 글루타티온(glutathione)일 수 있으나, 이에 제한되지는 않는다.
티올기는 펩타이드와 금속 시드 입자의 표면 간의 흡착력을 향상시킨다. 즉, 티올기를 포함하는 펩타이드는 급속 시드 입자의 표면에 더욱 잘 흡착되고, 이로 인해, 키랄 구조를 가질 수 있도록 금속을 성장시킬 수 있다.
펩타이드는 금속 시드 입자의 표면에 흡착될 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 펩타이드의 아미노기는 금속 시드 입자의 표면과 물리적 결합을 이룰 수 있다. 펩타이드는 거울상 이성질체를 가지는 키랄 구조를 가지며, 펩타이드는 D- 또는 L-형태에 따라 서로 다른 광학적 특징을 가진다. 키랄 구조를 가지는 펩타이드는 D- 또는 L-형태에 따라 선택적으로 금속 시드 입자의 다른 표면에 흡착된다.
다음으로, 제2 혼합 용액에 복수의 금속 시드 입자를 첨가하여 금속 나노구조체를 제조한다(S113).
금속 시드 입자는 나노미터(nm) 크기를 가지는 금속 물질로서, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 형성하기 위한 출발 물질로 사용된다. 금속 시드 입자는 시드 성장법을 이용하여 나노 크기의 금속구조체를 형성할 수 있는 금속 물질이면 제한 없이 사용될 수 있다. 금, 은 동과 같은 금속 물질로 이루어지며, 금속 전구체와 동일한 물질로 이루어질 수 있으나, 이에 제한되지는 않는다.
금속 시드 입자는 1nm 내지 100nm의 크기를 가질 수 있으나, 이에 제한되지는 않는다. 또한, 금속 시드 입자는 다양한 형태를 가질 수 있다. 예를 들어, 금속 시드 입자는 고밀러지수 결정면을 가지는 48면체(hexoctahedron)의 형태를 가지는 나노 입자일 수 있으며, 저밀러지수 결정면을 가지는 6면체(cube), 8면체(octahedron), 12면체(rhombic dodecahedron), 14면체(cuboctahedron) 등의 형태를 가지는 나노입자일 수 있다.
고밀러지수의 결정면이란 나노 입자 결정면의 특성을 나타내는 밀러지수 {hkl}이 h>k>l>0 의 조건을 만족시키는 결정면을 의미할 수 있다. 이와 달리, 저밀러지수 결정면은 일 예로서, {100}, {111}, {110}의 밀러지수를 가지는 결정면일 수 있다. 고밀러지수의 결정면은 이러한 저밀러지수 결정면들의 정수배의 합으로 이루어질 수 있다. 상기 고밀러지수의 결정면으로 이루어진 나노입자는 일반적으로 한 입자에 20개 이상의 많은 면이 노출되어 있으며, 결정면이 서로 결합하는 모서리나 꼭지점에서의 곡률이 저밀러지수 결정면들에 비하여 클 수 있다.
금속 시드 입자는 콜로이드 합성법 중의 하나로서 시드 성장법(seed mediated growth method)에 의해 제조될 수 있으나, 이에 제한되지는 않는다. 예를 들어, 시드 성장법은 전구체를 계면활성제의 존재 하에 환원제로 환원시킴으로써 금속 시드 입자를 형성할 수 있다.
S113단계를 통해서, 키랄 금속 나노구조체가 형성된다. 제2 혼합 용액에 존재하는 펩타이드는 키랄을 가지므로, 제2 혼합 용액에 금속 시드 입자가 첨가되면 펩타이드는 위치 선택적으로 금속 시드 입자의 표면에 흡착된다. 이후, 동시에 환원된 금속 전구체가 붙으면서 금속 시드 입자 표면에서 금속이 성장된다. 이때, 금속의 성장은 금속 시드 입자 표면에 선택적으로 흡착된 펩타이드에 의해, 위치 별로 상이한 성장 속도를 보인다. 즉, 펩타이드가 다량으로 흡착된 금속 시드 입자의 특정 표면에서는 금속의 성장 속도가 저하되고, 펩타이드가 소량으로 흡착되거나, 전혀 흡착되지 않은 금속 시드 입자 표면에서는 금속의 성장 속도가 상대적으로 빠르게 된다. 인접하는 금속 시드 입자 표면간의 금속의 성장 속도 차이에 의해, 금속은 일정 방향으로 휘어지면서 성장하게 된다. 이로 인하여, 일 방향으로 뒤틀린 형상을 가지는 3차원 키랄 구조가 형성된다.
이하에서는 실시예를 통하여 본 발명의 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 방법을 보다 상세히 설명한다. 구조를 보다 구체적으로 설명하기 위하여, 도 3a 내지 3d를 참조하여 설명하기로 한다. 그러나, 이하의 실시예는 본 발명의 예시를 위한 것이며, 하기 실시예에 의해 본 발명의 범위가 한정되는 것은 아니다.
실시예 1
100mM의 농도를 가지는 계면 활성제인 hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB) 0.8mL을 3.95mL의 물에 넣는다. 본 용액에 10mM의 금 전구체인 tetrachloroauric (III) trihydrate (HAuCl4 3H2O) 0.1mL과 환원제인 L-ascorbic acid 0.1M, 0.475mL를 혼합 후 볼텍스 믹서로 1분간 섞어 제1 혼합 용액을 제조한다. 제조된 제1 혼합 용액에 물에 녹인 1mM L-시스테인(L-Cysteine)을 0.5μL 첨가한 후 볼텍스 믹서로 1분간 섞어 제2 혼합 용액을 제조한다. 제2 혼합 용액에 45 nm 의 크기를 갖는 정육면체 금속 시드 입자(cube nanoparticle)를 넣어줌으로써 성장이 시작되고 두 시간 후 L-시스테인에 제어된 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체가 합성된다. 이후, 얻어진 금속 나노구조체는 원심분리 (5000rpm 30sec) 를 통하여 세척한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 제조는, 금속 시드 입자로 사용되는 저밀러지수 결정면을 가지는 정육면체 금속 입자가 먼저 고밀러지수 결정면을 가지는 48면체로 성장하는 중간 단계를 거칠 수 있다. 즉, 45nm의 크기를 갖는 정육면체 금속 시드 입자가 제2 혼합 용액에 주입되면, 곧바로 펩타이드가 금속 시드 입자의 표면에 흡착되기 보다는 정육면체 금속 시드 입자 표면에서 금속이 성장되어, 중간물질(intermidiate)로서 48면체 금속 입자가 형성될 수 있다. 이후, 중간물질인 48면체 금속 입자의 표면에 펩타이드가 흡착되면서 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속나노체로 성장할 수 있다. 이하에서는, 중간 물질인 48면체로부터 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속나노체가 형성되는 과정을 설명한다.
도 3a 내지 도 3d는 실시예 1에 따라 키랄 금속 나노구조체가 형성되는 과정을 설명하기 위한 개략도 및 SEM 이미지이다. 도 3a는 정육면체 금속 시드 입자가 키랄 금속 나노구조체로 형성되는 과정 중에 나타나는 중간 물질인 48면체 금속 입자를 도식화한 개략도이다. 도 3b 및 3c는 L-시스테인 존재 하에 48면체 금속 입자 표면 거동을 설명하기 위하여, 각각 {110} 및 {100} 방향에서 본 개략도 및 SEM 이미지이다. 도 3d는 실시예 1에 따라 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 구조를 설명하기 위한 개략도 및 SEM 이미지이다.
도 3a를 참조하면, 48면체 금속 입자는 동일한 크기의 삼각형 형상을 가지는 48개의 표면으로 둘러싸인 구조를 가지며, {321}의 고밀러지수를 갖는다. 이때, ABB'A' 영역을 참조하면, {321}면 및 {231}면은 시계 방향 회전을 가지는 R 영역 및 반시계 방향 회전을 가지는 S영역으로 구성된다. R영역과 S영역은 각각 키랄성(chiral)을 가지며, 경계선을 기준으로 서로 대칭 형상을 이룰 수 있다. 48면체 급속 입자는 24개의 R영역과 24개의 S영역을 가지고 있어, 전체 입자를 기준으로 비키랄성(achiral)을 가진다. 이때, L-시스테인은 R영역을 선호하는 것으로 알려져 있으며, 금속 시드 입자를 제2 혼합 용액에 넣게 되면 L-시스테인은 금속 시드 입자의 R영역에 주로 흡착된다. L-시스테인이 금속 시드 입자의 R영역의 표면을 주로 차지하고 있어, R영역의 금속 성장 속도는 S영역의 금속 성장 속도 보다 감소한다.
도 3b 및 도 3c에서는 두 세트의 R영역과 S영역으로 구성된 ABA'B' 영역의 개략도 및 ABA'B' 영역에 대응하는 영역을 점선으로 표시한 SEM 이미지가 도시된다. 도 3b를 참조하면, S영역과 R영역의 경계 중 AC와 CA'에서 변형된 금속의 성장을 확인할 수 있다. 이러한 변형된 금속의 성장은 48면체의 모든 경계에서 일어난다. 경계를 나타내는 직선 AC와 직선 CA'은 모두 -φ로 S 영역으로 돌출되도록 뒤틀린다. 상술한 바와 같이, R영역은 표면에 흡착된 L-시스테인에 의해 금속의 성장이 억제되므로, S영역과 R영역의 경계에서 금속은 S영역으로 향하도록 성장된다. 이로 인해, 뒤틀린 형상의 모서리는 계속해서 S영역의 안쪽으로 들어가도록 연장된다.
도 3d를 참조하면, 실시예 1에 의해 형성된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 거울상 이성질체가 서로 겹쳐지지 않는 3차원 키랄 구조를 가진다. 구체적으로, 실시예 1에 의해 형성된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 모서리가 안쪽 면으로 꼬이도록 형성된 구조를 가지게 되는 헬리코이드(helicoid) 형상을 가지게 된다.
키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체의 구조를 설명하기 위하여 도 4를 참조한다.
도 4a 내지 4c는 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 구조를 설명하기 위한 개략도 및 SEM 이미지이다.
도 4a를 참조하면, 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체는 오목부(x)와 볼록부(y)로 이루어질 수 있다. 이때, 오목부(x)는 인접하는 다른 표면과 이어지도록 형성될 수 있다. 구체적으로, 오목부(x)는 2개 이상의 표면에 이어지도록 형성될 수 있으며, 2개의 표면에서만 이어지도록 형성될 수 있다. 또한, 도 4b를 참조하면, 금속 나노구조체는 꼭지점을 중심으로 동일한 방향으로 휘어지도록 연장된 볼록부를 포함할 수 있다. 금속 나노구조체의 각각의 꼭지점으로부터 연장되는 모서리가 일 방향으로 꼬이도록 연장된 형상의 볼록부가 형성되어 바람개비 모양의 볼록부를 형성할 수도 있다. 또한, 도 4c를 참조하면, 3차원 키랄 구조는, 금속 나노구조체의 모서리가 일 방향으로 휘어지는 형상으로 나타날 수 있다. 예를 들어, 금속 나노구조체는 모서리가 일 방향으로 꼬이도록 형성된 헬리코이드 형상을 가질 수 있다.
본 발명의 암호화 방법에 사용되는 금속 나노구조체의 크기는 10nm 내지 500nm일 수 있으며, 바람직하게는 50nm 내지 300nm 일 수 있으나, 이에 제한되지는 않는다.
본 발명의 암호화 방법에 사용되는 금속 나노구조체는 키랄 구조를 가지고 있으며, 키랄 구조에 의해 광학적 특성, 즉, 광학 활성을 가진다. 보다 구체적으로, 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체는 키랄 구조에 따라 분광학적으로 상이한 스펙트럼을 가질 수 있다. 특히, 원편광이색성 (Circular Dichroism, CD) 측정을 통해 상이한 스펙트럼을 나타낸다. 또한, 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체에 편광을 조사하는 경우 편광 각도에 따라 색변환이 일어난다.
이러한, 금속 나노구조체의 광학적 특성은 키랄 구조에 따라 달라진다. 즉, 상이한 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체는 가시광선에 대하여 상이한 흡광 영역을 가질 수 있고, 상이한 편광 특성을 가질 수 있으며, 상이한 광학 활성도(g-factor)를 가질 수 있다.
다음으로, 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 제조한 후, 복수의 금속 나노구조체의 광학 데이터를 획득한다(S120).
광학 데이터는 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체의 광학적 특성을 측정한 값을 의미한다. 상술한 바와 같이, 키랄 구조에 따라 금속 나노구조체는 상이한 광학적 특성을 가지는 바, 제조된 금속 나노구조체의 광학적 특성을 특정 값이나 스펙트럼 형태의 데이터를 획득할 수 있다. 획득된 광학 데이터는 제조된 금속 나노구조체의 키랄 구조에 기인된 특정된 결과이므로, 암호화를 위한 인코딩 요소로 사용될 수 있다.
구체적으로, 금속 나노구조체의 광학 데이터는 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정된 (A) 분광학적 데이터 및 (B) 색변환 패턴 데이터를 포함할 수 있다.
(A) 분광학적 데이터는 제조된 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체에 편광을 조사한 다음 측정된 스펙트럼을 분석한 결과이다. 예를 들어, 금속 나노구조체의 분광학적 데이터는 원편광이색성(CD) 스팩트럼, g-factor 스펙트럼 또는 흡광도 스펙트럼일 수 있다. 분광학적 데이터는 측정된 스팩트럼 자체를 저장한 데이터일 수 있고, 특정 파장에서의 값을 저장한 데이터일 수 있다. 예를 들어, 분광학적 데이터는 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼, g-factor 스펙트럼 또는 흡광도 스펙트럼으로부터 각각 얻어지는 복수의 파라미터들을 포함할 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 복수의 파라미터들은 각각의 스펙트럼에서의 진동수, 최대 흡수 크기, 파장 등일 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 암호화 방법은 편광 조사에 의해 측정된 스펙트럼으로부터 천문학적인 경우의 수의 데이터를 조합할 수 있어, 인코딩 용량을 크게 증가시킬 수 있다.
(B) 색변환 패턴 데이터는 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체의 광 회전 특성(optical rotation property)에 의해 측정되는 색변환 이미지들을 의미한다. 색변환 패턴 데이터를 설명하기 위하여 도 5a 및 도 5b를 참조한다.
도 5a는 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 색변환 패턴 데이터 측정 방법을 설명하기 위한 개략도이다.
도 5a를 참조하면, 광원으로부터 방출된 광은 편광자를 통과하여 편광이 되어 금속 나노구조체 샘플에 조사된다. 금속 나노구조체를 통과한 편광은 금속 나노구조체의 광학적 특성에 의하여 변화되고 이것은 상이한 색으로 관찰된다. 이때, 편광 필터의 각도를 회전하면서 관찰하면 편광 필터의 각도에 따라 육안에 관찰되는 색의 변화를 확인할 수 있다.
도 5b는 비키랄성 금속 구조체와 실시예 1에 따른 키랄성 금속 나노구조체의 색변환 패턴 데이터를 도시한 이미지이다.
일반적으로 비키랄성 금속 나노구조체는 편광 필터의 각도를 회전시키면 색의 세기(intensity) 만이 차이가 있을 뿐, 색상이 변화하지 않는다. 그러나, 키랄성 금속 나노구조체의 경우, 편광 필터의 각도를 회전시키면, 파장 별로, 회전된 각도에 따라 상이한 색을 나타낸다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 암호화 방법은 상술한 (A) 분광학적 데이터 및 (B) 색변환 패턴 데이터가 수많은 데이터 값을 가지고 있으므로, 인코딩 요소로 적절하게 사용할 수 있다.
한편, 복수의 금속 나노구조체의 광학 데이터를 획득하는 단계는 제조된 복수의 금속 나노구조체에 편광을 조사하여 분광학적 데이터 또는 색변환 데이터를 측정하는 단계 및 측정된 상기 분광학적 데이터 또는 상기 색변환 데이터를 저장하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
상술한 바와 같이, 광학 데이터로서, 분광학적 데이터 및 색변환 데이터는 모두 금속 나노구조체 시료에 편광을 조사함으로써 측정할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 분광편광계(spectropolarimeter)를 사용하여, 편광을 조사한 후 원편광 이색성(Circular Dichromism) 및 광 회전 분산(Optical Rotatory Dispersion)을 측정할 수 있다.
다음으로, 측정된 분광학적 데이터 또는 색변환 데이터를 저장한다. 데이터를 저장하는 저장매체는 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 해당기술 분야에서 사용하는 저장매체를 사용하면 충분하다. 저장된 광학 데이터는 위조 방지를 위한 암호화 방법에서 위조 여부를 확인 및 결정하는 인코딩 요소로 사용된다. 즉, 추후 디코딩 방법에서, 저장된 광학 데이터는 확인 대상 매체를 조사하여 측정된 광학 데이터와 비교하여, 위조 여부를 확인할 수 있다.
다음으로, 제조된 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 보안매체를 제조한다(130).
복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 보안매체에 방법은 특별히 제한되지 않고, 보안매체의 구조 및 특징에 맞게 다양한 방법을 이용할 수 있다.
예를 들어, 보안매체를 제조하는 공정에서 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 포함하여 물품을 제조하는 방식을 이용할 수 있다. 구체적으로, 보안매체가 필름인 경우, 필름 조성물에 나노구조체를 추가한 다음 제막 공정을 거쳐 키랄 금속 나노구조체가 포함된 필름을 제조할 수 있으며, 보안매체가 플라스틱 성형품인 경우, 성형전 수지 조성물에 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 추가한 다음 성형 공정을 겨쳐 키랄 금속 나노구조체가 포함된 플라스틱 성형품을 제조할 수 있다.
또한, 제조된 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 보안매체에 부착시키는 방식을 이용할 수도 있다. 구체적으로, 제조된 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 코팅 조성물을 제조한 다음 보안매체에 코팅하는 방식을 이용할 수 있다. 또한, 잉크 조성물에 제조된 금속 나노구조체를 추가하여 잉크 조성물을 사용함으로써 보안매체에 부착시킬 수 있다. 특히, 위조 지폐 검출을 위한 암호화 방법인 경우, 지폐에 사용되는 잉크에 제조된 금속 나노구조체를 혼합하여, 인쇄하는 방법을 활용할 수도 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 암호화 방법은, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 사용함으로써, 키랄 금속 나노구조체가 가지는 광학 특성을 인코딩 요소로 사용한다. 상이한 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체는 각각 상이한 광학 특성을 나타내므로, 특정 광학 특성을 가지는 금속 나노구조체를 보안매체에 부착시킴으로써, 보안 매체에 암호화를 시킬 수 있다.
한편, 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 키랄 구조는 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계에서 결정된다. 즉, 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계에서의 조건을 제어하여, 상이한 광학 특성을 가지는 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조할 수 있다. 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 제조 방법의 조절을 통해, 상이한 광학 특성을 가지는 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조할 수 있으며, 서로 상이한 구조를 가지는 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조한 다음 혼합함으로써, 복수의 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 활용하여 암호화 방법을 진행할 수 있다.
이하에서는 상술한 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 제조 방법에 있어서, 제조되는 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 구조 및 광학적 특성에 영향을 줄 수 있는 요소들을 보다 구체적으로 설명하도록 한다.
1. 펩타이드의 종류
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 암호화 방법은 키랄 금속 나노구조체가 가지는 광학 특성을 이용하는 것으로, 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 형상이 상이하면 상이한 광학 특성을 가지게 된다. 이때, 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 형상은 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 제조 단계에서 펩타이드의 종류에 따라, 변경되며, 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 광학적 특성 또한 변경된다. 즉, 사용되는 펩타이드의 종류를 변경하여 다양한 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체를 형성할 수 있다.
다양한 종류의 펩타이드를 사용하여 제조된 금속 나노구조체를 확인하기 위하여 도 6a 내지 6d를 참조한다.
도 6a 내지 6d는 다양한 종류의 펩타이드를 사용하여 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 SEM 이미지 및 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼이다. 도 6a는 앞서 설명한 실시예 1에 의해 제조된 금속 나노구조체의 SEM 이미지와 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼이다. 도 6b는 실시예 2에 의해 제조된 금속 나노구조체의 SEM 이미지와 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼이다. 도 6c는 실시예 3에 의해 제조된 금속 나노구조체의 SEM 이미지와 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼이다.
실시예 2
L-시스테인 대신 γ글루타메이트(γ-glutamate)와 L-시스테인으로 이루어진 디펩타이드를 사용한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하였다.
실시예 3
L-시스테인 대신 γ글루타메이트(γ-glutamate), L-시스테인 및 글리신으로 이루어진 트리펩타이드(L-글루타티온)를 사용한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하였다.
도 6a 내지 도 6c를 비교하면, 상이한 펩타이드를 사용함으로써 키랄 구조 및 광학 특성이 완전히 상이한 금속 나노구조체를 형성할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
한편, 도 6d에는, 각종 모노펩타이드(monopeptide), 디펩타이드(dipeptide) 및 트리펩타이드(tripeptide)를 사용하여 형성된 다양한 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 구조가 도시되어 있으며, 사용된 펩타이드의 농도 변화에 따라 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 구조가 달라지는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
한편, 도 7a 및 7b는 펩타이드의 구조가 변경되는 경우, 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 구조 및 광학 특성이 달라지는 것을 나타내는 SEM 이미지 및 g-factor 스펙트럼을 나타낸 그래프이다.
도 7a를 참조하면, 도 7a의 (a)에 표시된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 L-시스테인을 사용하여 제조된 실시예 1에 따른 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 SEM 이미지이고, 도 7a의 (b)에 표시된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 N-말단이 차단된 L-시스테인, 즉, 아미노기의 수소가 치환된 L-시스테인(예를 들어, N-아세틸 시스테인)을 사용하여 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 SEM 이미지이다. 도 7a의 (c)를 참조하면, N-말단이 차단된 L-시스테인의 경우 g-factor 스펙트럼을 강도가 급격히 감소된 비키랄 특성을 가지는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 7b를 참조하면, 도 7b의 (a)에 표시된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 L-시스테인을 사용하여 제조된 실시예 1에 따른 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 SEM 이미지이고, 도 7b의 (b)에 표시된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 C-말단이 차단된 L-시스테인, 즉, 측쇄의 수소가 치환된 L-시스테인(예를 들어, 시스테인 에틸 에스테르)을 사용하여 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 SEM 이미지이다. 도 7b의 (c)를 참조하면, C-말단이 차단된 L-시스테인의 경우 g-factor 스펙트럼 강도가 감소된 키랄 특성을 가지는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 6a 내지 6d 및 도 7a 내지 7b에서 확인할 수 있듯이, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계에서 펩타이드의 종류 및 구조를 달리함으로써, 상이한 구조를 가지는 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조할 수 있다. 상이한 구조를 가지는 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 서로 상이한 광학 특성을 가진다. 이처럼 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계에서 제조 조건을 달리함으로써, 다양한 광학 특성을 구현할 수 있고, 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 광학 특성을 데이터화하여 암호화할 수 있다.
2. 펩타이드의 D- 및 L-형태
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 암호화 방법에서는 펩타이드의 키랄 구조에 따라, 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 광학적 특성이 변경된다. 거울상 이성질체인 두 펩타이드를 이용하여 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 경우, 형성된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 반대되는 키랄 구조를 가지거나 반대되는 편광 특성을 가질 수 있다.
상술한 내용을 살펴보기 위하여, 거울상 이성질체인 L-시스테인과 D-시스테인을 사용하여 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 살펴보았다. L-시스테인을 사용하여 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 앞서 실시예 1에 의해 제조된 금속 나노구조체로 살펴보았다. D-시스테인을 사용하여 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 다음 실시예 4에 따른 방법으로 제조되었다.
실시예 4
L-시스테인 대신 D-시스테인을 사용한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하였다.
도 8a는 실시예 1에 의해 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 SEM 이미지이다. 도 8b 실시예 4에 의해 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 SEM 이미지이다.
도 8a를 참조하면, L-시스테인을 사용하여 형성된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 형성된 모서리가 뒤틀린 형상을 가진다. 구체적으로, 도 8a에 도시된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 꼭지점을 연결한 직선(n)으로부터 -φ도로 회전된 모서리(m)를 갖는다. 이와 달리, 도 8b에 도시된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 꼭지점을 연결한 직선(n')으로부터 +φ도로 회전된 모서리(m')를 갖는다. 즉, L-시스테인(L-Cysteine)를 사용하여 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체와 D-시스테인(D-Cysteine를 사용하여 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 서로 반대로 회전된 형상의 키랄 구조를 가지는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 8c는 실시예 1 및 실시예 4에 의해 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 흡광도 스펙트럼을 나타낸 그래프이다. 도 8c를 참조하면, 거울상 이성질체인 L-시스테인과 D-시스테인을 사용한 금속 나노구조체는 파장영역에 대하여 유사한 흡광도를 가지는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 8d는 실시예 1 및 실시예 4에 의해 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼을 나타낸 그래프이다. 도 8d를 참조하면, 실시예 1에 의해 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 569nm에서 좌측 원형 편광 699nm에서 우측 원형 편광의 흡수 스팩트럼을 나타내었다. 그러나, 실시예 4에 의해 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 569nm에서 우측 원형 편광 699nm에서 좌측 원형 편광의 흡수 스팩트럼을 나타내었다. 즉, L-시스테인를 사용하여 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체와 D-시스테인을 사용하여 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 모두 569nm와 699nm에서 동일한 최대 피크를 가지면서, 서로 반대 방향의 편광 특성을 가지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
도 8a 내지 도 8d에서 확인할 수 있듯이, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계에서, 서로 다른 키랄성을 가지는 펩타이드를 이용하면 상이한 구조 및 상이한 광학 특성을 가지는 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조할 수 있다. 이처럼 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계에서 펩타이드의 조건을 달리함으로써, 다양한 광학 특성을 구현할 수 있고, 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 광학 특성을 데이터화하여 암호화할 수 있다.
3. 펩타이드의 D- 및 L-형태 사이의 함량비
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 암호화 방법에서는 거울상 이성질체인 두 펩타이드의 혼합비에 따라, 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 키랄 구조 및 광학적 특성이 변경된다. 즉, 거울상 이성질체인 두 펩타이드의 혼합비를 조절하여, 다양한 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체를 형성할 수 있다.
상술한 내용을 살펴보기 위하여, 거울상 이성질체인 L-시스테인과 D-시스테인의 함량비를 변경해가며 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하였다. 구체적으로, L-시스테인과 D-시스테인의 함량비를 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 1:2, 1:3으로 변경해 가면서 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하였다.
한편, 도 9a 및 9b는 L-시스테인과 D-시스테인의 함량비를 변경하는 경우, 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 구조 및 광학 특성이 달라지는 것을 나타내는 SEM 이미지 및 g-factor 스펙트럼을 나타낸 그래프이다.
도 9a를 참조하면, 서로 반대되는 키랄 구조를 가지는 L-시스테인과 D-시스테인의 함량비가 변경되는 경우, 제조된 금속 나노구조체의 구조 또한 변경되는 것을 확인될 수 있었다. 특히, L-시스테인과 D-시스테인의 함량비가 1:1인 라세미 혼합(racemic mixing) 상태인 경우, 제조된 금속 나노구조체의 모서리가 최초 금속 시드 입자의 모서리와 실질적으로 평행하게 형성되어, 뒤틀린 형상의 모서리가 형성되지 않는다. 이 경우, 금속 나노구조체의 키랄이 사라지고 비키랄 구조로 형성되는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
또한, 도 9b를 참조하면, 반대되는 키랄 구조를 가지는 L-시스테인과 D-시스테인의 함량비를 변경함으로써, 금속 나노구조체의 키랄을 정량적으로 조절할 수 있다. 즉, g-factor의 강도는 L-시스테인과 D-시스테인 중 더 많은 펩타이드의 성질을 따른다. 도 9a에서와 마찬가지로, L-시스테인과 D-시스테인의 함량비가 1:1인 라세미 혼합(racemic mixing) 상태인 경우, g-factor는 대부분의 파장 영역에서 0에 가까운 값을 나타내는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 9a 및 9b에서 확인할 수 있듯이, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계에서, 거울상 이성질체인 두 펩타이드의 혼합비를 조절하여, 다양한 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체를 제조할 수 있다. 이처럼 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계에서 복수의 펩타이드의 비율을 달리함으로써, 다양한 광학 특성을 구현할 수 있고, 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 광학 특성을 데이터화하여 암호화할 수 있다.
4. 금속 시드 입자의 형상
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 암호화 방법에서는 금속 시드 입자의 형상에 따라, 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 키랄 구조 및 광학적 특성이 변경된다. 즉, 제2 혼합 용액에 투입하는 금속 시드 입자의 모양 또는 형상을 달리함으로써, 다양한 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체를 형성할 수 있다.
상술한 내용을 살펴보기 위하여, 금속 나노구조체의 형상을 달리하여, 금속 나노구조체를 형성하였다. 구체적으로, 금속 시드 입자로서 정육면체 금속 입자를 사용한 상술한 실시예 3 및 금속 시드 입자로서 정팔면체 금속 입자를 사용한 실시예 5를 비교하였다. 구체적인 실시예 5는 다음과 같다.
실시예 5
정육면체 금속 시드 입자 대신 정팔면체 금속 시드 입자를 사용한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 3과 동일한 방법으로 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하였다. 즉, 실시예 5에서는 금속 시드 입자로서 정팔면체 금속 시드 입자를 사용하고, 펩타이드로 L-글루타티온(L-Glutathione)을 사용하였다.
도 10a는 실시예 3에 의해 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 개략도 및 SEM 이미지이다. 도 10b는 실시예 5에 의해 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 개략도 및 SEM 이미지이다. 도 10c는 실시예 5에 의해 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼을 나타낸 그래프이다. 도 10d는 실시예 5에 의해 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 흡광도 스펙트럼을 나타낸 그래프이다. 도 10c 및 도 10d를 참조하면, 금속 시드 입자의 형태를 변경함으로써 광학 특성이 상이한 금속 나노구조체를 형성할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
도 10a와 10b를 참조하면, 서로 다른 형상의 금속 시드 입자를 사용하는 경우, 금속 성장 후에도 서로 다른 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체를 형성할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
도 10e는 실시예 3 및 5에 의해 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 g-factor 스펙트럼을 나타낸 그래프이다. 도 10e를 참조하면, 정팔면체 금속 시드 입자를 사용하는 경우, 정육면체 금속 시드 입자를 사용하는 경우 보다, 최종 형성된 금속 나노구조체의 g-factor가 더 큰 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 10a 내지 10e에서 확인할 수 있듯이, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계에서 금속 시드 입자의 구조를 달리함으로써, 다양한 광학 특성을 구현할 수 있고, 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 광학 특성을 데이터화하여 암호화할 수 있다.
5. 금속 시드 입자의 농도
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 암호화 방법에서는 금속 시드 입자의 농도에 따라, 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 키랄 구조 및 광학적 특성이 변경된다. 즉, S112단계에서 제2 혼합 용액에 투입하는 금속 시드 입자의 햠량을 달리함으로써, 다양한 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체를 형성할 수 있다.
상술한 내용을 살펴보기 위하여, 제2 혼합 용액에 투입되는 금속 시드 입자의 함량을 달리하여, 금속 나노구조체를 형성하였다. 구체적으로, 금속 시드 입자로 정팔면체 금속 입자를 사용하고, 펩타이드로 L-글루타티온을 사용한 실시예 5에 있어서, 시드의 농도를 변경하면서, 금속 나노구조체를 제조하였다.
도 11은 금속 시드 입자의 농도를 달리하여 제조된 각각의 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 SEM 이미지이다. 도 11에는 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼에서 최대 흡수 파장이 함께 기재되었다.
도 11을 참조하면, 시드의 농도가 클수록, 즉, 제2 혼합 용액에 투입되는 시드 입자의 양이 많아질수록 제조되는 금속 나노구조체의 입자 크기가 작으며, 시드 입자의 농도가 작을수록, 즉 제2 혼합 용액에 투입되는 시드 입자의 양이 적어질수록 제조되는 금속 나노구조체의 입자 크기가 커지는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 제2 혼합 용액에 금속 전구체가 한정되어 있으므로, 금속 시드 입자의 농도가 적으면 하나의 금속 시드 입자당 성장하는 금속의 양이 많아지므로, 보다 큰 금속 나노구조체 입자가 형성될 수 있다.
한편, 금속 나노구조체의 크기를 변화시키면, 금속 나노구조체의 플라즈몬 공명이 변화하여, 적색 또는 청색 편이가 발생한다. 즉, 금속 나노구조체의 크기가 커질수록 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼에서 최대 흡수 파장이 적색 또는 청색 파장대로 이동하는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 11에서 확인할 수 있듯이, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계에서 금속 시드 입자의 농도를 달리함으로써, 다양한 광학 특성을 구현할 수 있고, 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 광학 특성을 데이터화하여 암호화할 수 있다.
6. 금속의 성장 시간
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 제조 방법에서는 금속의 성장 시간에 따라 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 키랄 구조가 변경된다. 즉, 제2 혼합 용액에 금속 시드 입자를 투입한 다음 반응 시간을 조절함으로써, 다양한 키랄 구조를 가지는 금속 나노구조체를 형성할 수 있다.
구체적으로, 실시예 3 및 실시예 5에 따른 키랄성 금속 나노구조체의 제조 방법에 있어서, 제2 혼합 용액에 금속 시드 입자를 투입한 후 금속 성장 시간을 달리하여, 금속 나노구조체를 제조하였다. 이때, 도 12는 실시예 3 및 5에 있어서, 금속 성장 시간을 변경하여 제조된 각각의 금속 나노구조체의 SEM 이미지이다.
도 12를 참조하면, 시간이 지날수록 모서리가 더욱 돌출된 키랄 구조를 형성함을 확인할 수 있다. 따라서, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계에서 반응 시간을 달리함으로써, 상이한 구조를 가지는 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 제조할 수 있고, 이를 통해, 다양한 광학 특성을 구현할 수 있고, 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 광학 특성을 데이터화하여 암호화할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 암호화 방법은 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 사용한다. 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 제조 과정에서 조건을 달리함으로써 상이한 키랄 구조를 가지게 된다. 구조가 상이한 금속 나노구조체들은 각각 광학 특성 또한 상이하다. 이렇게 다양한 형상을 가지는 금속 나노구조체의 여러 광학 특성을 조합하면 천문학적인 경우의 수가 발생한다. 따라서, 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 광학 특성을 사용하여 인코딩 요소로 사용할 수 있고, 결과적으로 암호화할 수 있다.
본 발명은 암호화 방법은 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 광학 특성을 이용함으로써, 105의 인코딩 용량을 가지며, 2개 이상의 키랄 특성을 갖는 금속 나노구조체를 혼합하여 천문학적인 인코딩 용량을 가질 수 있다. 이를 통하여, 본 발명은 Covert 암호화 기술 및 Track & Trace 암호화 기술이 혼합된 방식의 암호화 방법을 제공할 수 있다.
도 13은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 복호화 방법을 설명하기 위한 순서도이다.
도 13을 참조하면, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 복호화 방법은 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 대상매체를 준비하는 단계(S210), 대상매체의 복수의 금속 나노구조체에 편광을 조사하여 광학 데이터를 측정하는 단계(S220), 저장부로부터 미리 저장된 레퍼런스 광학 데이터를 로드하는 단계(S230) 및 측정된 광학 데이터를 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 비교하는 단계(S240)를 포함한다.
먼저, 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 대상매체를 준비한다(S210).
대상매체는 보안 여부 또는 위조 여부를 판단하기 위한 물품을 의미한다. 예를 들어, 도 1에 따른 암호화 방법을 사용하여 인코딩한 보안매체가 대상매체가 될 수 있다.
다음으로, 대상매체의 복수의 금속 나노구조체에 편광을 조사하여 광학 데이터를 측정한다(S220).
키랄 금속 나노구조체는 키랄 구조의 형상에 따라 상이한 광학적 특성을 가진다. 구체적으로, 추출된 키랄 금속 나노 구조체에 편광을 조사한 후 분석을 통해 광학 데이터를 측정할 수 있다. 도 1에 따른 암호화 방법에서 설명한 바와 같이, 광학 데이터는 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정된 (A) 분광학적 데이터 및 (B) 색변환 패턴 데이터를 포함할 수 있다. 광학 데이터와 관련된 중복되는 내용의 설명은 생략한다.
한편, 대상매체 내의 복수의 금속 나노구조체의 광학 데이터를 측정하는 단계는, 대상매체로부터 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 추출하는 단계를 더 포함할 수 있다. 구체적으로, 대상매체에 포함된 광학 특성과 관련된 정보를 분석하기 전에, 이러한 광학 특성을 가지는 금속 나노구조체를 대상매체로부터 추출하는 과정이다. 추출하는 방법은 물리적인 방법을 사용할 수도 있고, 화학적 방법을 사용할 수도 있다.
그러나, 대상매체로부터 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 추출하는 단계는 반드시 물리적으로 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 대상매체로부터 분리해야만 하는 것은 아니다. 즉, 대상매체로부터 금속 나노 구조체를 분리하여, 이후 단계에서 광학 데이터를 측정할 수 있으나, 별도의 물리적 분리 없이, 대상매체 자체의 일 부분을 분리하거나, 대상매체 전체를 대상으로 금속 나노구조체의 광학 데이터를 측정할 수도 있다.
다음으로, 저장부로부터 미리 저장된 레퍼런스 광학 데이터를 로드한다(S230).
여기서 레퍼런스 광학 데이터는 보안 여부 또는 위조 여부를 판단하는 기준이 되는 광학 데이터를 의미한다. 즉, 레퍼런스 광학 데이터는 사용자가 보안 또는 진품을 구별하기 위하여, 인코딩한 데이터 값으로 미리 정해진 특정 조건하에 제조된 키랄 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정된 광학 데이터이다.
다음으로, 측정된 광학 데이터를 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 비교한다 (S240).
구체적으로, 대상매체로부터 추출된 복수의 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정된 광학 데이터와 사용자가 미리 설정한 레퍼런스 광학 데이터를 비교하여 일치 여부를 확인함으로써 복호화한다.
측정된 광학 데이터의 모든 정보가 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 일치하는 경우, 대상매체는 사용자가 미리 설정한 보안 조건을 만족시키는 매체임이 확인된다. 또는, 대상매체가 위조되지 않은 진품임을 확인할 수 있다. 그러나, 측정된 광학 데이터의 모든 정보가 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 일치하는 경우, 대상매체는 보안 조건을 만족시키지 않는 것임이 확인될 수 있다. 또는, 대상매체가 진품이 아니 위조된 것임을 확인할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 복호화 방법은 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 사용한다. 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 제조 과정에서 조건을 달리함으로써 상이한 키랄 구조를 가지게 되고, 구조가 상이한 금속 나노구조체들은 각각 광학 특성 또한 상이하다. 따라서, 보안 또는 위조 여부를 확인하고자 하는 대상매체로부터 여러 광학 특성을 측정한 다음, 보안 또는 진품이 인정되는 미리 정해진 키랄 금속 나노구조체의 광학 특성과 비교함으로써, 대상매체의 보안 및 위조 여부를 판단할 수 있다.
이때, 다양한 형상을 가지는 키랄 금속 나노구조체는 여러 광학 특성을 조합하여 천문학적인 경우의 수를 발생시킬 수 있다. 이러한, 키랄 금속 나노 구조체의 광학 특성을 측정한 데이터를 사용하면, 105 이상의 인코딩 용량을 가지는 보안 기술을 구현할 수 있다. 이를 통하여, 본 발명은 Covert 암호화 기술 및 Track & Trace 암호화 기술이 혼합된 방식의 암호화 방법과 이를 해석하는 복호화 방법을 제공할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법은 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계, 복수의 금속 나노구조체의 광학 데이터를 획득하는 단계 및 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 보안매체를 제조하는 단계를 포함한다.
복수의 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계는 금속 전구체, 계면 활성제 및 환원제를 혼합하여 제1 혼합 용액을 제조하는 단계, 제1 혼합 용액에 펩타이드를 첨가하여 제2 혼합 용액을 제조하는 단계 및 제2 혼합 용액에 복수의 금속 시드 입자를 첨가하여 금속을 성장시키는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
펩타이드는 시스테인(cysteine, Cys), 글루타메이트(glutamate, Clu), 알라닌(alanine, Ala), 글리신(glycine, Gly), 페니실라민(penicillamine), 히스티딘(histidine), 라이신(lysine), 오르니틴(ornithine), 아르기닌(arginine), 아스파르트산(aspartic acid), 글루탐산(glutamic acid), 아스파라진(asparagine), 글루타티온(glutathione), 및 글루타민(glutamine)으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택된 하나 이상을 포함할 수 있다.
펩타이드는 모노펩타이드(monopeptide), 디펩타이드(dipeptide) 또는 트리펩타이드(tripeptide)일 수 있다.
복수의 금속 시드 입자는 금, 은 및 동 중 적어도 하나이고, 복수의 금속 시드 입자 각각의 크기는 1nm 내지 100nm일 수 있다.
복수의 금속 나노구조체 각각은 오목부와 볼록부를 포함하고, 오목부 및 볼록부는 일 방향으로 휘어지도록 연장될 수 있다.
복수의 금속 나노구조체 각각은 모서리가 일 방향으로 꼬이도록 형성된 헬리코이드(helicoid) 형상을 가질 수 있다.

복수의 금속 나노구조체의 광학 데이터를 획득하는 단계는, 복수의 금속 나노구조체에 편광을 조사하여 분광학적 데이터 또는 색변환 데이터를 측정하는 단계 및 측정된 분광학적 데이터 또는 색변환 데이터를 저장하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
복수의 금속 나노구조체는 제1 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 제1 금속 나노구조체 및 제2 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 제2 금속 나노구조체를 포함하고, 제1 키랄 구조 및 제2 키랄 구조는 상이한 형상이고, 제1 금속 나노구조체와 제2 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정된 분광학적 데이터 및 색변환 패턴 데이터는 상이할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 복호화 방법은 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 대상매체를 준비하는 단계, 대상매체의 복수의 금속 나노구조체에 편광을 조사하여 광학 데이터를 측정하는 단계, 저장부로부터 미리 저장된 레퍼런스 광학 데이터를 로드하는 단계 및 측정된 광학 데이터를 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 비교하는 단계를 포함한다.
복수의 금속 나노구조체 각각은 오목부와 볼록부를 포함하고, 오목부 및 볼록부는 일 방향으로 휘어지도록 연장될 수 있다.
광학 데이터는 복수의 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정된 분광학적 데이터 및 색변환 패턴 데이터 중 적어도 하나를 포함하고, 분광학적 데이터는 금속 나노구조체의 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼, g-factor 스펙트럼 또는 흡광도 스펙트럼을 포함하고, 색변환 패턴 데이터는 금속 나노구조체에 조사되는 편광의 각도 변화에 따른 색상 변화를 포함할 수 있다.
레퍼런스 광학 데이터는 보안 여부 또는 위조 여부를 판단하기 위하여, 미리 결정된 조건하에서 제조된 레퍼런스 키랄 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정될 수 있다.
복수의 금속 나노구조체는 제1 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 제1 금속 나노구조체 및 제2 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 제2 금속 나노구조체를 포함하고, 제1 키랄 구조 및 제2 키랄 구조는 상이한 형상이고, 제1 금속 나노구조체와 제2 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정된 분광학적 데이터 및 색변환 패턴 데이터는 상이할 수 있다.
측정된 광학 데이터를 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 비교하는 단계에서, 측정된 광학 데이터가 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 일치하는 경우 보안이 인증되고, 측정된 광학 데이터 중 적어도 하나가 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 상이한 경우 보안이 인지되지 않을 수 있다.
이상 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 실시예들을 더욱 상세하게 설명하였으나, 본 발명은 반드시 이러한 실시예로 국한되는 것은 아니고, 본 발명의 기술사상을 벗어나지 않는 범위 내에서 다양하게 변형실시될 수 있다. 따라서, 본 발명에 개시된 실시예들은 본 발명의 기술 사상을 제한하기 위한 것이 아니라 설명하기 위한 것이고, 이러한 실시예에 의하여 본 발명의 기술 사상의 범위가 제한되는 것은 아니다. 그러므로, 이상에서 기술한 실시예들은 모든 면에서 예시적인 것이며 제한적이 아닌 것으로 이해해야만 한다. 본 발명의 보호 범위는 아래의 청구범위에 의하여 해석되어야 하며, 그와 동등한 범위 내에 있는 모든 기술 사상은 본 발명의 권리범위에 포함되는 것으로 해석되어야 할 것이다.

Claims (17)

  1. 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계;
    상기 복수의 금속 나노구조체의 광학 데이터를 획득하는 단계; 및
    상기 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 보안매체를 제조하는 단계를 포함하는, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 제조하는 단계는,
    금속 전구체, 계면 활성제 및 환원제를 혼합하여 제1 혼합 용액을 제조하는 단계;
    상기 제1 혼합 용액에 펩타이드를 첨가하여 제2 혼합 용액을 제조하는 단계; 및
    상기 제2 혼합 용액에 복수의 금속 시드 입자를 첨가하여 금속을 성장시키는 단계를 포함하는, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서,
    상기 펩타이드는 시스테인(cysteine, Cys), 글루타메이트(glutamate, Clu), 알라닌(alanine, Ala), 글리신(glycine, Gly), 페니실라민(penicillamine), 히스티딘(histidine), 라이신(lysine), 오르니틴(ornithine), 아르기닌(arginine), 아스파르트산(aspartic acid), 글루탐산(glutamic acid), 아스파라진(asparagine), 글루타티온(glutathione), 및 글루타민(glutamine)으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택된 하나 이상을 포함하는, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법.
  4. 제3항에 있어서,
    상기 펩타이드는 모노펩타이드(monopeptide), 디펩타이드(dipeptide) 또는 트리펩타이드(tripeptide)인, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법.
  5. 제2항에 있어서,
    상기 복수의 금속 시드 입자는 금, 은 및 동 중 적어도 하나이고, 상기 복수의 금속 시드 입자 각각의 크기는 1nm 내지 100nm인, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법.
  6. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 복수의 금속 나노구조체 각각은 오목부와 볼록부를 포함하고,
    상기 오목부 및 상기 볼록부는 일 방향으로 휘어지도록 연장된, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법.
  7. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 복수의 금속 나노구조체 각각은 모서리가 일 방향으로 꼬이도록 형성된 헬리코이드(helicoid) 형상을 가지는, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법.
  8. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 광학 데이터는 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정된 분광학적 데이터 및 색변환 패턴 데이터 중 적어도 하나를 포함하고,
    상기 분광학적 데이터는 상기 금속 나노구조체의 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼, g-factor 스펙트럼 또는 흡광도 스펙트럼을 포함하고, 상기 색변환 패턴 데이터는 상기 금속 나노구조체에 조사되는 편광의 각도 변화에 따른 색상 변화를 포함하는, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법.
  9. 제8항에 있어서,
    분광학적 데이터는 상기 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼, 상기 g-factor 스펙트럼 또는 상기 흡광도 스펙트럼으로부터 각각 얻어지는 복수의 파라미터들을 포함하는, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법.
  10. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 복수의 금속 나노구조체의 광학 데이터를 획득하는 단계는,
    상기 복수의 금속 나노구조체에 편광을 조사하여 상기 분광학적 데이터 또는 상기 색변환 데이터를 측정하는 단계; 및
    상기 측정된 상기 분광학적 데이터 또는 상기 색변환 데이터를 저장하는 단계를 포함하는, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법.
  11. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 복수의 금속 나노구조체는 제1 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 제1 금속 나노구조체 및 제2 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 제2 금속 나노구조체를 포함하고,
    상기 제1 키랄 구조 및 상기 제2 키랄 구조는 상이한 형상이고,
    상기 제1 금속 나노구조체와 상기 제2 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정된 분광학적 데이터 및 색변환 패턴 데이터는 상이한, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 암호화 방법.
  12. 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 금속 나노구조체를 포함하는 대상매체를 준비하는 단계;
    상기 대상매체의 상기 복수의 금속 나노구조체에 편광을 조사하여 광학 데이터를 측정하는 단계;
    저장부로부터 미리 저장된 레퍼런스 광학 데이터를 로드하는 단계; 및
    상기 측정된 광학 데이터를 상기 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 비교하는 단계를 포함하는, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 복호화 방법.
  13. 제12항에 있어서,
    상기 복수의 금속 나노구조체 각각은 오목부와 볼록부를 포함하고,
    상기 오목부 및 상기 볼록부는 일 방향으로 휘어지도록 연장된, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 복호화 방법.
  14. 제12항에 있어서,
    상기 광학 데이터는 상기 복수의 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정된 분광학적 데이터 및 색변환 패턴 데이터 중 적어도 하나를 포함하고,
    상기 분광학적 데이터는 상기 금속 나노구조체의 원편광 이색성(CD) 스펙트럼, g-factor 스펙트럼 또는 흡광도 스펙트럼을 포함하고, 상기 색변환 패턴 데이터는 상기 금속 나노구조체에 조사되는 편광의 각도 변화에 따른 색상 변화를 포함하는, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 복호화 방법.
  15. 제12항에 있어서,
    상기 레퍼런스 광학 데이터는 보안 여부 또는 위조 여부를 판단하기 위하여, 미리 결정된 조건하에서 제조된 레퍼런스 키랄 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정된, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 복호화 방법.
  16. 제12항에 있어서,
    상기 복수의 금속 나노구조체는 제1 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 제1 금속 나노구조체 및 제2 키랄 구조를 가지는 복수의 제2 금속 나노구조체를 포함하고,
    상기 제1 키랄 구조 및 상기 제2 키랄 구조는 상이한 형상이고,
    상기 제1 금속 나노구조체와 상기 제2 금속 나노구조체로부터 측정된 분광학적 데이터 및 색변환 패턴 데이터는 상이한, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 복호화 방법.
  17. 제12항에 있어서,
    상기 측정된 광학 데이터를 상기 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 비교하는 단계에서,
    상기 측정된 광학 데이터가 상기 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 일치하는 경우 보안이 인증되고, 상기 측정된 광학 데이터 중 적어도 하나가 상기 레퍼런스 광학 데이터와 상이한 경우 보안이 인지되지 않는, 키랄 금속 나노구조체를 이용한 복호화 방법.
