Abstract

The "cross-wad" damping system for shotgun cartridges, wherein the wad column of said cartridge includes symmetrical element or elements of shock-absorbing system that are symmetrical or intersecting in a horizontal plane, relative to the vertical axis of the container wad. Two or three similar elements, separated by a protective disk, can be used as a shock-absorbing system.

Description

Description of invention
IPC 2017.01: F42B 7/00, F42B 7/08
Name:
"Cross- Wad" damping system of container-wads for shotgun cartridges
The branch of technology
The invention relates to the manufacturing of container-wads, which includes a damping (shock absorbing) system, for the accembling of shotgun ammunition
Technology level
The nearest similar by design is container-wad under patent #70.14856 by Gualandi Elio (Italy). The deficiency of its shock absorber construction design does not allow evenly distribute all loads that arise during a shot.
Also in its design there are used additional compensating elements of various shapes. Therefore, such asymmetric structures give unpredictable deformation to both the container and the projectile. At the same time, gas obturation and the stability of the process of the shot are deteriorating. This leads to distortion of the container at the exit from the barrel and, as a consequence, to increased and unpredictable dispersion of shot or other projectile. Such designs are conditioned by technological features of plastic parts molding structures. At this stage of technology development, it is possible to create more technological designs, which make possible the manufacture of wads of complex shape oriented horizontally across the shock absorbers.
Analogues of such design does not exist.
The essence of the invention
The "Cross-Wad" damping system of wads for shotgun cartridges consists of a symmetrical cavernous or integral element or elements of the shock-absorber system, which are
symmetrically or intersect in a horizontal plane relative to the vertical axis of a wad. These elements act on the principle of uniform distribution of forces that arise during a shot. The invention relates to the manufacture of wad - containers that contain a damping system, for the assembling of shotgun ammunition.
The damper is attached with its upper part to the bottom of the container for the projectile. The lower part of the shock absorber is attached to the upper part of the obturating element. The "Cross- Wad" damping system can be double or more. In this case, the elements are separated by a protective disk, which still performs the role of a power element, which prevents the twisting or bending of the container during assembling of cartridges. Using such a shock absorber allows evenly distribute the load on the elements of the construction of the container-wad during a shot, l including reducing the deformation of the bowl of the container itself. The symmetrical design of the shock absorber provides a predicted deformation of both the container and the projectile. This improves the obturation and stability of the process of the shot. This leads to a stable flight of the container at the exit from a barrel and, as a consequence, to reduce the dispersion of the projectile and to reduce the deviations of the middle point of strike,
industrial suitability
At this stage of technology development, it is possible to create more technological designs, which make possible the manufacture of wad - containers of complex shape oriented horizontally across the shock absorbers.
The proposed invention is suitable for industrial production.

Claims

Invention formula
1. The "Cross- Wad" damping system for wads for shotgun cartridges is characterized by use of a symmetrical element or elements of a shock-absorbing system that are symmetrically or intersecting in a horizontal plane relative to the vertical axis of the container-wad, acting on the principle of uniform distribution of forces, which arise when shot.
2. The Cross- Wad damping system according to article 1 is characterized by the presence of a dual or triple compensating element with a protective disk.
