Abstract

The invention relates to an awning (100) for mounting on a camping vehicle (1), having a side wall (2), which has a connection region (3), wherein the side wall (2) has a changeable contour.

The invention relates to an awning for mounting on a camping vehicle having a side wall. Such awnings are already known. Often they have two side walls and a front wall and can like an awning together with the camping vehicle enclose an enclosed space. A disadvantage of known awnings of this type is that they are often not adaptable to a variety of types of recreational vehicles.

The invention has set itself the task of creating an awning, which is improved in terms of this disadvantage.

This object is achieved by the reproduced in claim 1 awning.

The awning according to the invention is suitable for mounting on a camping vehicle. It has a side wall. The side wall has a connection area. This preferably means the area of the side wall facing the camping vehicle when the awning is constructed. Preferably, the side wall lies with its connection area with built awning on the camping vehicle. The sidewall has a variable outline. With the handle "Outline" is meant in the context of this document, in particular the outline that occupies the side wall in the tensioned state.

This creates a condition for the side wall of the marquee to close particularly well with the outer wall of the camping vehicle facing it, even in the case of various types of camping vehicles. The variability of the outline is preferably reversible.

The outline of the side wall of the awning is preferably changeable from exactly a first outline into exactly a second outline, and preferably vice versa.

The awning preferably comprises an awning cloth. The awning cloth forms in the erected condition of the awning preferably the roof of the awning. The awning preferably comprises an awning roll, on which the awning cloth is rolled up. The awning preferably comprises an awning housing or awning pocket in the or preferably the awning roller is arranged or stowed. The awning housing or the awning bag is preferably attachable to the camping vehicle. The awning housing or the awning bag is preferably attachable to various types of camping vehicles.

Preferably, no part of the sidewall is separable and reattachable to alter the outline. The side wall is preferably formed in one piece. Preferably, therefore, no part of the side wall is separable. As a result, the risk of losing parts of the side wall is eliminated.

The outline is preferably changeable from a first outline, in which the connection region extends at least approximately straight, in a second outline, in which the connection region advantageously curves in a curved manner. In which the outline is changeable, it can, preferably in the region of the connection area, be adapted to different outer contours of camping vehicles. Preferably, the outline may be adaptable to a camping vehicle having an outer wall facing the awning that is at least approximately planar, and more preferably to a camping vehicle in which this outer wall is curved, preferably convexly curved.

Preferably, in all outlines, the terminal area is formed by the same area of the side wall. It is therefore preferred by the outline change not - for example, by folding or the like - another area of the side wall - preferably adjacent to the camping vehicle - connection area. As a result, the connection region can, as is preferred, be designed for an optimal connection to the camping vehicle, without being adversely affected by the changeability of the outline. The two halves of the zipper are preferably connected by a continuous area of the side wall when the zipper is open. Preferably, the two zipper halves can thus be exactly as far apart from each other when the zipper is open as the intermediate area permits.

The intermediate region is preferably not rectangular. This intermediate region preferably has a shape which is formed between two lines, one of which is preferably straight and the other preferably curved. Preferably, the intermediate region between the halves of the zipper has at least approximately the shape of a part of a semicircular surface. By this is meant that the intermediate region has the shape of a semicircular surface, in which the straight boundary of the surface is parallel-displaced in the sense of a reduction of the surface.

The intermediate region of the side wall preferably bulges or folds when the zipper is closed into the inside of the awning. Preferably, this causes the curvature of the connection region. When opening the zipper, the intermediate area preferably expands again. Prefers This gives the connection area its straight course. Preferably, with the zipper closed, the intermediate region bulges inwards and preferably does not influence the outline of the side wall, unlike preferably when the zipper is open.

One half of the zipper is preferably arranged in a straight line on the side wall. The other half of the zipper is preferably curved, preferably arcuate, arranged on the side wall. When the zipper is open, a straight connecting region is advantageously achieved, preferably by the arcuate arrangement, which preferably permits a clean assembly on camping vehicles with a flat, preferably vertical, outer wall, for example caravans or mobile homes. When the zipper is closed, a curved connection area is advantageously achieved, which preferably allows a clean installation on camping vehicles with a curved outer wall, for example camping buses and vans. In the context of this publication, the term "clean assembly" means, in particular, the at least largely gap-free arrangement of the connection area on the camping vehicle The term "clean assembly" also means, with the exception of the intermediate area, at least largely wrinkle-free arrangement within the scope of this document meant the side wall.

The invention also relates to a camping vehicle having an awning according to one of claims 1 to 10. The embodiment of the awning designated as a whole by 100, as shown in FIG. 1, has an awning cloth 9 and an awning housing 10. In the awning housing 10 an awning (not visible) is arranged, on which the awning fabric 9 is rolled up. With the arrow R, the opening direction of the awning cloth 9 is symbolized. At the front edge in the opening direction R of the awning fabric 9, a dropout 1 1 is arranged in the illustrated embodiment. In the illustrations shown in Figures 1 and 2, the awning 100 is arranged on a camping car 1, which is designed as a caravan or motor home 1 a (only indicated). Outline changing means 6 are provided for the contour change. In order to keep the connection area 3 free of disturbing elements and not to create the risk of scratching the camping vehicle, these contour changing means 6 are not arranged directly on the connection area 3 but in the vicinity of the connection area 3, inside the side wall 2. The outline 4, 5 is variable in the embodiment shown by means of a zipper 6a, the contour changing means thus comprise a zipper. It comprises two halves 6b and 6c. The two halves 6b, 6c of the zipper 6a are connected by a continuous intermediate region 7 of the side wall 2 (see, for example, FIGS. 2 and 4). Figures 2 and 3 show the opening and closing of the zipper 6a provided slide 6d of the zipper, which is shown for better visibility on an enlarged scale. When the zipper is open (FIGS. 2 and 4), the intermediate region 7 arranged between the two zipper halves forms part of the sidewall 2. With the zipper closed (FIGS. 3 and 5), this intermediate region 7 is still connected to the sidewall 2. However, it bulges inward and does not affect the outline 5 of the side wall 2, unlike when the zipper is open. How about Fig. 2, the intermediate region 7 between the zipper halves is not rectangular, but has the shape of a part of a semicircular surface. When the zipper is open, the connection region 3 aligns approximately in accordance with the course of the half 6c of the zipper 6 adjacent to the connection region 3, with the zipper closed approximately corresponding to the half 6b removed from the connection region 3.

Claims

claims:

1 . Awning (100) for mounting on a camping vehicle (1)

with a side wall (2),

which has a connection region (3), wherein

the side wall (2) has a variable outline (4, 5).

2. Awning according to claim 1, characterized in that the connection region (3) rests on the camping vehicle (1) when the awning (100) is constructed.

3. Awning according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the side wall (2) is integrally formed.

Awning according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the outline (4, 5) from a first outline (4), wherein the connection region (3) extends at least approximately straight, in a second outline (5) is changeable, in which the connection region (3) is curved. 5.
